Molloy's Irish Pub in Blackpool

We arrived late on but the bouncers were so helpful! Covid restrictions followed and we were welcomed by Todd. He was so lovely and really made us want to stay. He was so knowledgeable with drinks and made us feel so comfortable. All the bar staff were lovely to be honest. First time visiting Blackpool and definitely the best bar we have been in. This bar slime makes us want to return! Thank you Todd and team x

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping around this part of town when we decided to drop into Molloy's Irish Pub and what a great time we had. Your typical Irish pub, etched glass, a solid wood serving bar, great decor and furnishings including all the Irish bric a brac adorning the walls you would expect to find in a good Irish pub and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub ,a very pleasant Irish Pub to unwind in. We were here on a Monday afternoon, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a guinness each, guinness was poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we just kicked back, chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our guinness. My guinness was absolutely superb, a rich, thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste, on a hot afternoon a totally refreshing brew, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and to be honest socialising again albeit socially distanced. We really enjoyed our guinness in here, only stayed for the one each before we moved on and for a first time visit to Molloy's Pub we had a great time. Molloy's Irish Pub is easy to locate along Talbot Road.Opening hours are;Monday to Thursday, 10am till Midnight. Friday & Saturday, 10am till 3am. Sunday, 10am till Midnight. A wonderful Irish pub, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Molloy's is an Irish bar in Blackpool with a decent food and drink's range and is cask accredited.An excellent bar and formerly an O'Neill's Irish pub'it has an Irish themed interior and fantastic seating options throughout the bars interior and offers a karaoke and live music nights and shows sporting events.This is the first time we have visited here for many years and as it was fairly early in the afternoon it wasn't that busy'once we gave our details for the track and trace we took a seat in a booth and we ordered a Guinness which was perfect and really well priced.Molloy's is a superb Irish bar and well worth a visit as the staff are friendly and Molloy's offers a very decent food and drinks menu.Very easy to locate from Abingdon street bus stop you walk to Talbot street.(This is my first review of Molloy's).Opening Hours. Been here a few times with friends and guests from our hotel very friendly and efficient staff couldn't do enough for you would recommend to everyone

We were the last two in before the pub reached full ‘Covid capacity’ and the last table available was one with a poor view of the big screen... that’s didn’t stop the staff making one of the other screen available to us! Great customer service on top of going above and beyond. We will be back for sure!

Pleasant enough wee place on the surface.. all the bars around were reasonably priced. Astounded to pay £10.05 for two 25ml vodkas and a wee bottle of Diet Coke. Felt robbed!!!!

Great bar, no longer does food, so this page needs amended. Great place where I met up with old friends, they thought this place still did food, but it doesn't, staff were happy for food to be brought in from local chippys etc. Good friendly service from the staff, great selection of drinks.

Went in to watch rugby. Decent atmosphere and surprisingly cheap drinks. Will be back next time I'm in town.

Went with a couple of friends as we were passing and had never been before. Very cheap drinks , £1.95 for a pint of carlsberg. Great atmosphere, will be coming again soon!

its an Irish themed bar, in England, run by a Scotsman! You can't get more Blackpool than that! Friendly staff, John and Chelle were excellent hosts. Highly recommend the burgers! Top quality

Brought 2 roast dinners in there and wasn't impressed with amount of beef we got it was 2 small pieces of beef on 1 and on the other which was a go large was a piece of chicken breast a 2 smaller bits of chicken which was dry and 2 small pieces of beef. Definitely won't be going back.

although the pub wasn't overall busy, the service was fabulous and the food very good standard for pub grub was served by Tricia and Jo who were both very friendly and helpful an asset to the business thanks Girls

Great size pub with a friendly welcome . Quick and efficient. Gin served in a proper glass! Little booths to seat in so you can have a good catch up and not other people on top of you . Not from Blackpool but would definitely go back .

Town centre bar with decent beer prices. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to talk to us. The bar area was extremely clean and tidy and had some generic Irish music playing which added to the atmosphere. The toilets were spotless also. There was a basic food menu at good prices. Would come back here again the next time I am in the area.

We came in Malloys at end of Sept for a few beers , we were served quickly by the friendly staff and settled down to watch the football on one of the many tv's. Nice place and we are regulars when we visit Blackpool

A Group of us forces veterans used the molloys as a meeting up place. We enjoyed great hospitality by the staff and most of us also ate from the tasty menu

Called in here for a pint with my partner,the staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was good,it did appear to have more locals than tourists drinking but they all seemed friendly.

Visited Blackpool town today and was bitterly disappointed by staff at Washington dint know food menu was rude with punters made to feel uncomfortable had to leave , was advised that I could get great food and service and molloys and given directions from an local couple . Visited bar staff were exceptional good knowledge of local area and all bar and menu , food would give 9/10 and service and staff couldn’t fault , by chance managed to meet manageress Sarah who was most helpful and hospitable great family atmosphere and would happily recommend to all x

Went for food with my family and the service was terrible!! Served by a male mid to early 30s glasses and ginger hair didn't seem to have any manager working and he had no time for anyone other than the men stood at the bar...Looked as tho unless your a regular your not wanted even if your buying food and drinks!! Would if stayed for dessert but went elsewhere and found a lovely pub just around the corner felt much more welcoming.

Popped in for food today chip under cooked steak was tuff and under cooked asked for well done and it was pure red in the middle put me right off the whole meal

Portions are enormous, we ordered two club sandwiches with chips, one between us would be enough. Lovely food not complaining. Thought we were hungry. Nice eatery pub. Recommend it

Checked this place early evening for food. Found the steak done perfect and at a very reasonable price.

We just come back from Blackpool went in this pub to have a bite to eat an a drink, The food was very nice and the staff quite pleasant, the drink was ok football on telly if you where interested, good pub would go in again

Had a couple of meals here...the food was lovely & great value for money... a good varied menu...the food was hot & nicely served...the staff were friendly ...will definitely visit here again

Me and my hubby popped into the pub tonight as it's our date night and the football was on. We don't get out often because we have kiddies but their nanny was babysitting. We went in for a relaxing drink but what we witnessed was 1 barman verbally assault the other barman. He was shouting and using foul language and from what we witnessed the other member of staff hadn't done anything wrong. He was good mind he didn't retaliate. I couldn't say I would have been as calm about it as he was that's for sure if it was me. The guy (found out later their name Neil was the abusive one) was storming around cleaning tables that nobody had been sat at and was so moody it made the whole atmosphere in the pub change and made not just us but other people rather uncomfortable. It's a shame because I've been in during the daytime before and even brought the kids in for food and it's usually a nice little pub

Called in on a Sunday evening of the bank holiday weekend. Not enough staff on and those who were on were of the type who serve who is in front of them and not who's next. Life is too short to waste your time having to get someone who has seen you several times to recognise you, and not the person who just happens to walk up as you finish serving someone, as the next to be served. It's not as though there aren't plenty of other pubs and bars in close proximity where you can get served.

Whilst these so-called 'Irish' pubs are somewhat passé, we were able to watch the penultimate day of The Open on a big screen. Typical pub-grub menu available. Decent range of drinks at reasonable prices.

We were in Blackpool bank holiday looking for somewhere to eat and came to Molloys there meat pies are scrumptious beautiful mash and veg pie to large to eat all of it then the service that was spot on and so reasonable priced for food and beer very good value they had a band on for entertainment gave a very good variety of songs but most important not to loud so you could hear them and enjoy there music all in all great pub would use it again

Una pareja reservó mesa en línea semanas antes de las 7 pm sólo para nosotros llegue 10 minutos antes y me dijeron que no había reserva y que el chef estaba dejando. Si pedimos a los 5 minutos luego de obtener lo que queríamos, pero debido a el menú Cambiar fueron tirar mucho de alimentos, así que puede no estar disponible. Mi pareja mostró la confirmación de la reserva con el gerente, que era un poco brusco con ella cuando él sugirió otro lugar y preguntó si era cualquier bueno y su única respuesta fue que sirve la misma comida como lo hicieron en Molloy y había opciones gluton gratis.

Booked a table for 4 at 7pm online and had an email confermation.we turned up after traveling from wales to be told i hadnt booked and they stop serving food at 7 so we have 5 minutes to order food and that most of the food is off the menu.i showed the email to the manager and he wasnt bothered and didnt even appologise.we were very dissapointed.will not go there again.poor atmosphere and nobody else was really in there.

Came in for quick drink on way home.browsed over menu and to my surprise they had a great veggie section.I ordered batterd hallumi and maccarroni cheese and garlic bread..by far this is the best pub grub I have ever had in Blackpool. .my partner had large mixed grill and it was cooked to perfection..The meat was clearly of top quality produce..even the curly fries were perfect.all for under 20 quid!.We will definitely will be coming back for more and will be recommending to my friends and family..The bar staff are very friendly and welcoming..overall this place is a little gem! Compliments to the Chef Rick.

This place was great for Paddys day drinks and messing about, very friendly staff, decent prices and top end entertainment - we may well come back next year!

Atmosphere was buzzing while we was here. Drinks prices all fair and food reasonable for pub grub. Staff very friendly and smart appearance defiantly will be visiting again. Nipped in over St. Patrick's was live entertainment which was great place was rocking

Popped in here whilst waiting to go to the Indian restaurant around the corner (al amir, don't bother). Average beer house, staff were friendly, pub a little scruffy but clean , couple of cask ales on offer kept the menfolk happy.

We visted here for Sunday dinner and found the food disappointing. The taste of the beef wasn't the best and the dessert wasn't hot enough. On the plus side the bar staff were pleasant ans friendly enough and there was a large screen for Sport. Worth visiting

What a dirty place . You can smell it as soon as you walk in .its dirty how can the manager open daily . Good all over the floors tables not wiped while staff hole and laugh at the end of bar . I'd give it the dirtiest pub in Blackpool.

Warm place and friendly staff, food is pub grub to the higher end of this market. Plenty of locals in. On the main road so no parking and located near other venues !!

In we went to watch Barcelona v Celtic although the hoops took a right doing,we,(our Maureen and I),had a good wee swallly and a pleasant evening in what is one of Blackpools best pubs,good beer and big screen for the football what more could you ask for.

We visited the bar while an England football game was on tv, so the place was quite full. We ordered a 5-dish-pick-n-mix for a price of 7,99 and 2 pints of beer (Caffrey's). We had to wait about 45 minutes, when the guy brought us someone else's order. He apologised several times for the mistake, and then he gave us our money back and promised that he would bring our order in a couple of minutes, for free. He felt himself so shamed, that he even gave back the price of our 2nd round beer. Soon after that, our meals arrived, and the bartender guy apologosed again.The meals were tasty and fresh made. We had fried prawns, fishcake, sausages, garlic cheese bread, french fries loaded with bbq pulled pork.We tried several beers, that were previously unknown for us: Caffrey's, Old Golden Hen, Hobgoblin. Both were very good, but my favourite was Old Golden Hen!Overall, first we were nervous about the mistake, but then we left the bar with very good experiences.

Great place to have a drink, we quite often go here with friends.Was in there at lunch time, so decided to order three dishes off the starter menu, they are served on a plank.One of the options we had was the sausage bites, they were awful, just about warm and as the description suggests, they were bite sized pieces of sausage, the worrying thing was they were not all from the sausage. i expected one cooked sausage that would have been freshly cooked and cut into sections. We also had the chicken wings, these had obviously been heated in the microwave, looked awful and tasted as they looked.On the plus side the sald was nice.would never eat here again.

Had a drink before dinner, the bar man poured the wrong drink then rectified his mistake, this is not the cheapest bar in Blackpool, decided on dinner from the menu within minutes it was served, it was the worst bar meal ive ever had, the pitta bread was put in the microwave so by the time it was put in frontpof me it was solid, and inedible, burgers looked ok but not sure how they tasted would definitely not go back

Visited with my husband and father in law. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Drinks were a reasonable price and with snugs so yo can have conversations it was a perfect drop in point on our way back to the hotel.

Fast bar service, food a little slow but well worth the wait. Cost just under £12 for a steak sub with chips, a club sandwich, a pint of strongbow and a small glass of wine

We popped into Molloy’s for a quick drink and a light lunch, as we had planned on going out to a restaurant later so we only needed a snack.Bar service was quick and efficient and we ordered a sharing platter for our snack.A couple of Minutes later one of the food staff came and apologised that not all our choices where available he suggested some amendments and we had our platter delivered 5 minutes later.Well-presented food and good beer what’s not to like

Kamen hungrig zum Molloy's und gingen auch so zurück. Schöne Außenfassade, gut eingerichtet aber das entschädigt nicht dafür, dass die Küche ab 15 h kalt ist. Noch ein Wermutstropfen: die Toiletten sind schrecklich unsauber.

Just had a lovely meal were staying in bkackpool for my birrhday food was spot on really good value for money as well two meals for £7.99.we ordered sides . Wasent waiting long and staff are very attebtive and friendly will deffinatly be coming back nice atmosphere

6 of us only went in for 1 drink ended up staying for 4 hours. Staff were great. Very Friendly. Security on Door was also very Friendly a laugh & a joke with us. Great Atmosphere x

Absolutely terrible pub.....awful customer service, only customers in there and couldn't kick us out quick enough. 8 full paying local adults trying to enjoy a night out. Only when we questioned about being asked quite rudely to leave and they found out that we were locals did the tune of their attitude change and at that point we were invited back in!! Would not recommend for tourists if that is their attitude!!

we had the burger and pint great value for money.take the money off for the drink and you pay around £3.00 for the meal and the brunch burger was huge deffo go again .

Called in for a pint and lunch, had a large plate of very good fish, chips and garden peas plus a pint of Caffreys, all for £4.40! Need I say more?

Only called in for a quick bite to eat before going for the train, just five minutes away from the station.While ordering the food young irish lad working behind the bar was talking very loudly to friends using the most foul language! I am no prude but come on, have some respect.The food was very bland but filled a gap.Will give this place a wide birth in future.

You expect for such good value that things like quality, service and atmosphere might lack...to the contrary these were all right up there :)

Visited for a friends birthday, needed somewhere central to meet and choose Molloys.Apparently the food is from the same people that run the Litten tree..was not a patch on their food. I ordered a steak baguette, served on a huge fed plastic plate, limp salad from a bag, well salad leafs, no tomatoes, no cucumber, no onions. Opened the steak baguette, 4 mouth sized pieces of steak on a full baguette, cheese non existant.. all in all very disappointing.

I visited Molly's Irish Pub wirh my daughter and his partner. We had a very enjoyable evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Struggling to find somewhere to eat we ended up in here - good atmosphere although busy with men watching rugby we felt safe and was made welcome by customers and staff - food a disappointment - no taste and cold - we where staving so ate it but next time we would just drink in here !

Very disappointed after visiting today with my Wife. The drinks were good and cheap but the food was only just about warm when it arrived. No one approached us to see if we were enjoying meals, not surprising really when there were only 2 staff on and it was quite busy in there. Also when we finished eating the used plates were just left on the table along with glasses left by other customers. They were still on table when we left.... This experience has put me off going in here again to eat but I'll still go in for a drink. It's a shame really because it could be better in there.

My husband and I have visited this pub several times in the past. Ww decide decided to go for valentines day. What a mistake. There were only 2 bar staff. Waited ages to be served. Kept serving other people first. Was on the verge of leaving when I was eventually served. Didn't wait too long for food. Started to tuck in and it turned out to be one degree above cold!!! I had steak which was tasty despite being cold. Because we were hungry we ate it then left. Wont be eating there again. Food in past had been red hot!!!

Molloy's is a proper locals pub, with a wide range of regulars. The beer is kept well and it is right in the midst of the nightlife area of Blackpool. The bar staff are friendly and attentive, which is what I look for in a good pub.

Decor could do with a revamp, karaoke seemed popular with regulars, staff were friendly, drinks reasonably priced, worth a visit

We came here for drinks after a gig at winter gardens and this is a fantastic pub! Bar staff friendly, drinks are a good price and nice and cold and the music was fab!

Called in here on Wednesday night for quick drink, noticed the food menu so decided to give it a try next night, we werent disappointed food was lovely, came out within 10 mins and was pipping hot. def go back when we are next in Blackpool.

A grand pub for a gathering as it has plenty of room. Friendly staff. Plenty of screens to watch sport and have a bit of banter.

The pub was clean, fresh and tidy. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent and well worth a visit. 2 meals from £7.49 can't be bad and the food was first class.

Popped in on Friday evening (2 October). Don't know if the barmaid was having a bad day, but my God she was miserable. I noticed when she let the Guinness settle that it was a dirty glass, only to be told that it was "water marks". She then proceeded to shake her head when she poured the rest of the pint. We were planning to stay for a while but got the hell out of dodge after one drink.Won't be back, needless to say.

I visited here early afternoon, I was visiting a friend in Blackpool who recommended the food here. On arrival I was disappointed with the pub; it looks very run down and dirty inside and out. The pub did look popular for the locals though. I ordered a hot dog and a couple of sides, which tasted fine but were a little lukewarm rather than piping! My glass of coke was dirty beyond belief- the glass was green with grime so I could not drink this.This made me question the hygiene of the venue and the quality of the food, I did not see a food hygiene rating in the pub. I would not return.

Hello and thanks for reading the review. We headed here in difference to where we normally eat and the pub itself is a little dark and drab. Clean in presentation just needed some humph! We ordered off the meal deal menu as we wanted a quick and small snack. It was OK. The meals are served with french fries not chips which is a disappointment - could have gone the takeaway opposite. Fish was a credit and the service was great but for where this is located we just expected a little more va va voom. There is a lot of potential here but not really what we expected - thanks for reading our review

we have ate twice there ,once with our friends and a day later ...on two of the trips the food was bland..the fish was still under cooked after sending the first back..on the 2nd visit,,the chips i had were stale reheated and limp...my husband said the beer was warm to..they get alot of druggys there so a local girl told us..not good guys

Popped in on Friday night, it wasn't busy but had plenty of seating, didn't fancy eating here but it had karaoke on which seemed to be popular with the regulars.

lunchtime food was brilliant as well as night life, drinks and food reasonable and will visit again.

Went here for food and a drink, only had drinks though as the menu was a little limited, prices are ok for the central area of Blackpool when you compare it to a Yates or Spoons in the same area.

Nice pub at the North pier end of Blackpool. The menu had some good value meals or ordered a burger and chips and an all day breakfast. Good came fast (which was a bit worrying) and looked dreadful. The burger was burnt on one side and chips were soggy, the breakfast was greasy with terrible stringy bacon and undercooked sausages. Weirdly both of us actually enjoyed the food and it tasted much better than it looked but could have easily sent it back. I think they just need to take a bit more care in how things are cooked and presented to be a vast improvement.

We visited here on 13th June my husband and me we both lived in Blackpool 31years ago and revisited this year for our 30th wedding anniversary as Blackpool is were we met we used to drink in this pub all those years ago. so decided to pay a visit we watched the Ireland football match nice relaxing surroundings and really enjoyed our food there nice staff nice food nice pub great service and fantastic value for money will definitely return thank you

Good service, good tasty food, plenty of choice, excellent value for money, i had pasta bolognese one day (with fresh lovely garlic bread) and another day i had burger and chips...basic menu but throughly good pub grub...excellent value for money....highly reccommended
