This spot is great for authentic punjabi food at a reasonable price. Service is fantastic but the actual restaurant is quite small so can get crowded.

This was such a lovely experience. They have really invested in decor and tables etc. I’m Punjabi- the food is SO good. The service was great and the people are so friendly. The atmosphere is cool and it’s just humble, heartwarming, great quality food and I will never go to any other Indian restaurant. This is tops.

What a shame I have to write this negative review as the food was actually really good! Me, my husband and my elderly parents came here for lunch today as a family. I am currently 9 months pregnant and was feeling very hot and flushed so kindly asked the waitress to turn on a fan or air con if possible and she agreed, she was again very friendly. As we were leaving a gentleman who worked there came to the front desk and said very loudly that our bill wouldn't even be £10 and we were asking for air conditioning! That doesn't profit him, he was really rude talking so we could all hear and I was really hurt by his unprofessional and unpleasant comments! My parents were so ashamed to hear what he had said they slowly walked out but the gentleman still continued saying comments as I did tell the staff I heard him. My experience was very unpleasant this was a restaurant where me, my brother usually visit and not had a n issue and usually staff are very nice. But now we will not be returning as felt so insulted and small due the unprofessionalism of one staff member, he should really undergo some type of customer service course or shouldn't be working there at all with that type of attitude and remarks he thinks is ok to make to customers, I'm truly disgusted with him. Excellent food. I don’t trust that it’s non halal food. They should put a sigh in the window saying it’s not halal. For me halal is HARAM!!

I was Introduced to Moheens last year and it is unbelievable authentic curry. The food is not what I call English curry (chicken tikka massala etc) it is lamb curry, chicken curry, goat curry - proper curry. The tandoori mixed grill is superb and so are the lamb chops. The breads are made from fresh and to order - Roti , nan, keema nan and paratha. I live over 1 hour drive away but there is nothing in my area to compare to this so I drive up, stock up and freeze a load for the coming weeks. Do not go here expecting a high end restaurant decor or dining experience it is all about the food!!!

We travel here from a distance when we can.. maybe not as much as we used to! The lamb chops are absolutely to die for and the lamb curry just the same if you like a bit of a kick! The vegetables dishes are also delish, the paneer and peppers being my favourite! The rice, the bread, just everything thing is delightful :)

I have been going to this excellent Curry House for over 20 years and was the first customer for lunch all those years ago. in fact when I go back to Ilford four or five times a year I will not eat anywhere else. There are two very important factors firstly food is excellent standard and quality, very friendly and accommodating owner who makes an effort to know all of his customers names. Prices have remained reasonable. I have been nagging the owner for years to open another shop closer to where I live.

Took my daughter out for a late lunch today and was pleasantly surprised when we stumbled on this place. Fantastic food & extremely friendly, welcoming service ..... Well done & thank you ....

I grew up near ilford and used to visit this restaurant for a tikka roll about 13 years ago. I still go back whenever I'm in town and stock up on their samosas and pakora. The flavours are just incredible.

13 years ago this was the best Punjabi place to go. Standards have dropped dramatically recently in past few years. Food is never fresh. Shop and kitchen is not to a clean standard. I live local and I'd go frequently over the years. It's a shame and disappointment to watch the decline. I'll never go there now.

I visit London 2 or 3 times a year and Moheen's is unbeatable. The food is brilliant, freshly prepared and so cheap. It's byo so bring a bottle of whisky or wine. Service is great, and they do doggie-bags when you over order. A MUST DO in Goodmayes, Ilford.

Definitely the best indian food in Ilford. I am a repeat customer and the food never disappoints. The prices are great, the quality is great so it's a good value for money meal. Highly recommended! !@

Kebab rolls and mix grill are fab. Food is good and it's great that it's not halal allowing us non Halal n kosher meat eaters.

Just popped into this place for some samosea but decided to have the paneer tika roll .. I was pleasantly surprised really enjoyed it ..with salad and Mint chatney .... Would go back again ..

chicken curry and the lamb curry are the best.chicken tikka is lovely too.the variety of dishes are good, veg and meat alike. decor isnt the best but food makes up for it. dont be afraid of the locals in there with there bottles of booze in side.
