Mohali by Chef Mandeep in Dudley

Via Deliveroo I ordered a butter chicken, peshawari naan and poppadoms. The butter chicken was spicy, and not creamy. The naan was dry, just drizzled in oil. One of three poppadoms tasted of oil and was coloured like it. I rang the restaurant and they said I ordered a “murgh makhani” which is a “similar dish”. So either it’s different to a butter chicken and they’re advertising the wrong dish on Deliveroo, or it’s the same and the dish was terrible & not how you make a butter chicken. Stay away, wouldn’t recommend.

Only thing that lets this place down is the dates décor. Food is amazing.

First time visitor and it was a bit mixed to be honest. The main meal was very good but when the poppadoms came they were soft in places.

Ordered a take away after having one the previous week that was very hot I asked for it to be mild, this however seems to be difficult for them to do as it was hotter than before, I also had items missing from the order. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night I understand why after trying the food.stay away and save your money.

It has been around the fourth time eating at this restaurant The food has been amazing and fresh every time The staff are friendly and always happy to meet our needs cant do enough for us This restaurant is on par if not better than the Ameena

I don’t belong to this locality but based on reviews came to this restaurant expecting authentic taste. Unfortunately, no where near to the authentic taste. I ordered chef clay pot chicken which was very sweet , the quantity of chilli chicken was atrocious. The service to your own fellow Indian was discriminatory. While the near by table were given pappadom and onion immediately but we were not given while we waited for 40 min. Mixed grill was the only thing I liked. I am giving 1 star for car parking space provided.

Lovely food the flavours are out of this world and the chicken is quality. Never had a disappointing meal here.

It’s been a while since we have been able to find a place with food this good takeaway or eat in it’s outstanding staff are amazing can’t do enough for you !to anyone who reads this please please try this place.

Absolutely amazing food fantastic customer service immediately felt at ease as a lesbian couple most places still to this day aren't so accommodating but we felt welcomed prices are really good aswell good value for money even held the door as we left we will definitely be returning thankyou for such a amazing service 😀

I've lived in Halesowen most of my life and never been until last week. Having been told many times by family and friends to visit I never did till now. I can only say that this is the tastiest, most fabulous food I've had the pleasure of eating. The fact that the staff were so accommodating only added to the experience and I will most definitely be going back. Don't make my mistake. Go now

Enjoyable meal, party of four all enjoyed their dishes. Good level of heat and very good large naan. Meals were a little slow to come out, but it was Monday night and most likely only one chef and quite a few diners [for a Monday], so not marking down for it. Starters also were good and all tasted fresh

The food was ok. The Paneer dish we ordered was very sweet as of sugar was mixed in it. Dal fry was good and so were the Naan. Overall a ok experience.

Used this restaurant for the first time and was disappointed. The food was OK but didn't match up with the places we would usually go for a curry particularly the butter chicken which wasn't very rich or flavoursome.

1st time here have tried other local Indian restaurants but omg this is a gem!!! Traditional Indian family run and fresh food that was absolutely delicious best Nan we have had I had bhuna and husband had balti and both were served in good time owners very friendly and chatted with us would highly recommend with traditional music playing made the atmosphere best by far around Halesowen!!!! Thank you for a good evening

Had a good meal hear We had the special menu at £15.50 for starter main and choice of rice or nan with either a glass of wine or small beer We all 4 of us had something different and all enjoyed our choices. Attentive but there was only two other couples in at the time on. Wednesday night.

Great food, great service, great birthday for me!!

Had a take out a few days ago and was very dissapointed. The food had a nice taste but there was very little meat and a lot of sauce. The Peshwari nan was quite bland and was more plain than Peshwari. I would think twice about giving it another try for take out food!! Shame!!!

Wonderful staff and amazing food.

Best Indian food in the area! The staff was helpful and friendly. Many choice to eat and everything comes separately so you get many options for your meal. The food comes a mild spice but it was very flavorful and looked amazing. Great choices to drink from their bar we got some Cobra beers and the fruity cider was a hit as well. This place can handle larger ground and the service was quick. Will definitely be hitting up this place again.

Been going here ( the flute ) for well over 10 years now and it's the only place I clear my plate the food is so good. Also great lads which makes the atmosphere better, always manage to gets us in early if phoning day before.

Seriously good food! We have visited this restarant several times and each time, the food and service has been excellent. They have very interesting variations of many traditional dishes. We have no hesitation in recommending this place at all, and will be visiting again soon.

Best Indian I have ever had at a restaurant. Does not give you dodgy stomach afterwards. Can tell only fresh ingredients are used. Highly reccomend

Great service, waiters were really polite, and the food was outstandingly flavourful, we ordered chicken tikka masala with king prawn kadai and both main dishes were superb, will return again.

Food and Service absolutely Brilliant. I have never before had such a nice indian meal!! Staff are friendly and helpful. We had special dietary requirements and they were happy to advise on menu options. Can't wait to go again.

Hands down. The best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been too. The food is amazing. The staff are super friendly. And it’s never disappointed. Chief Mandeep’s food is incredible and at local prices. You pay have to pick something you don’t expect. But you will not be disappointed. Give it a go.

This is top quality city centre food at local prices. Give it a go you may have to pick something you don’t recognise but you will not be disappointed. It really is very good. Not what you would expect in Halesowen.

Excellent food, drink and service!

Absolutely amazing food and service impeccable. They have a huge amount of vegetarian dishes and Chef Mohali is happy to make anything for you even if it not on the menu. There is nothing to fault about this place and so much to praise. It has to be up there with the finest Asian cuisine I have ever tasted. I used to be a regular when this restaurant was The Flute, and I loved it then- however, I have to say that I prefer the food now. I cannot believe that three people have left one star reviews. Am I suggesting that they are simply trying to discredit a competitor?! It's up to you to sample Mohali's wondetful food and make your own mind up- and then I suspect that you, like me, will give them 5 stars.

Excellent quality food. Some different offerings on the menu but also the 'standards' were available. All of our party had really good meals so we'll definitely be back. A step up from the usual curry house!

Really good takeaway. I enjoyed the Chilli Tikka Paneer, and the Lamb Bhuna was very flavoursome. The portion sizes were big and we got really good value for money. Glad I’ve found a new Indian restaurant I will continue to come back to.

For a restaurant that's only recently opened they've certainly found their footing very quickly. The food was absolutely divine and brought back memories of food from back home. They got all our spice levels down correctly. Service was polite and efficient. I don't usually leave reviews but had to today. Definitely looking forward to eating here once lockdown is over!

Tried to do online order for delivery £31 order was declined. Was 2.8 miles from eatery. Maybe because of these times we are in. Neverless will just stick to my regular in future

3 hours late, lied about the delivery when I called and then turned phone off. Cancelled the order online then it turned up. Everything was cold, chicken was dry and overall was absolutely shocking. Don't make the same mistake I did and order from here

Excellent meal yet again and hear value.

Not at all good service. Curry was mediocre at best. There was a large crowd but we had pre booked and advised the selections. Everyone ate at different times. Over an hour from first served to the last. Poor. Would not recommend.
