Jo's Cafe in Dudley

This cafe was fairly good about ten years ago but over the years the quality seams to get worse a worse a the price not so good compared to other cafe.s in the area that's why I stopped going.

Only had a take away sandwich which was cooked exactly how I ordered deffo use again when in the area

Always love going to Jo's Cafe. Been having my Birthday Breakfast here for years and they never disappoint. Food is always great and they're happy to adjust them if there's something you don't like. My wife hates cooked black pudding but they are happy to just serve it raw for her.

Average cafe, was very fast, bread was hard, Tasted nice but just not as good as some other cafes in the area

This is a great little cafe , I took my Dad for brunch, they do a beautiful all day breakfast . Its clean and tidy and the prices are great too-would highly recommend eating here .

My first time at this side of Birmingham, the cafe is have the feeling of local eatery which is really good! The price is not good but GREAT!!!! The amount on your plate is enough to keep you going for the rest of the morning! They are local people serving local food which brings people in, all are welcome even you dont know your way going to Birmingham city centre like me!

Jo's café has been in Netherton for a long time and it shows... Because they know how to be the best cafe for miles around. It's a small cafe for people with a big appetite and doesn't hurt the purse strings either. At first appearance, you would think it's just another greasy spoon and plenty of signage outside to invite you in. It has a decent seating area and space for about 40 people. The menu is what you would usually expect with some 'added extras'. You can get sandwiches and breakfasts, in fact some are super sized. For me, I had the Special sandwich which is £5. Four pieces of crusty bread with Bacon, egg, sausage, mushrooms, beans and black pudding (i think there is more in there too). When it arrived it was a behemoth of a sandwich, very well constructed too, an equal balance of all ingredients which does not make the bread too soggy or greasy, the perfect consistency. It also had a great taste too, sometimes you can go to some cafés and they buy the cheapest ingredients and you can tell, Jo's however does use good ingredients but obviously not the best to keep prices great. Me and my wife's breakfast came to £11 with drinks, some places won't even do one meal for that. P.s. they also do other food like cottage pies etc This is truly a hidden gem of the black country Tldr- great food, cheap prices, hidden gem Update, I've been back and had pie and chips. The pie is a classic pukka pie but the best was the chips, homemade chips just like mom made (God rest her soul) which took me back like in ratatouille. I will be returning for more 😋

Agree with a previous comment, not the worst, not the best. Smells of damp as you walk in, and there is damp on the walls, a little off putting. No heating on and its a cold day, so the kids were rather cold in there. Decent prices, but we felt the food was all quite tasteless. I presume they are opting for the cheapest choices. Decent portions, certainly filled us up. Asked for a tea without the tea bag in, as like it really really weak but was told it is served out of a teapot. Unsure why it wasn't possible to just give hot water and a tea bag.. but never mind - felt that any other adaptions would not have been welcomed by the staff. Won't be rushing back.

No where better food and atmosphere

Not had a butty for ages and the one I had from here the other day was absolutely fantastic, everything I asked for was done spot on .

Was it bad, definitely not, was it the best sadly not. Would I go again probably, it just didn’t quite have that edge of walking out really satisfied. Price was ok, appeared clean inside. Would give it 3.5 out of 5 if I could.

Great place ...my Mrs is very very Very fussy about what and where she eats and it really is a bit of a pain even if it just doesn't look right or not placed on her plate it's all over and she just won't..even can't eat ...I really think it's a mental illness but learnt to adapt to the situation but let me just tell you She Her in doors loves the food there so that's a big 10 out of 10 and trust that's HUGE so well done keep it up cuz your doing great ...

I've been to a few cafe's and this one defiantly shines through the cracks, they make a cracking sandwich, the staff are kind and welcoming. Defiantly recommend.

How can I have missed this place? Don't be decieved by the small frontage, Jo's is much more than it looks, inside is clean fresh and comfortable, despite the present restrictions, it is comfortable. You can get a good mug of tea and a plate of toast or push the boat out and get a full breakfast for a fraction of the cost you would pay in your local fast food outlet. The ladies are friendly and go that little bit further to make sure you get your food exactly the way you like it. If you don't have time to sit in you can opt for take out. Don't waste your money on overpriced supermarket sandwhiches, pop into Jo's and treat yourself.

I have only ever had takeaway breakfast sandwiches from here or the very occasional full breakfast in the shop. The prices are reasonable and the food well cooked.
