Modigliani in Cambridge

Great pistachio cornetto however the pistachio tiramisu was my personal favourite and recommended by the staff who wore the kindest most welcoming smile! Thank you.

I was very impressed with their coffee and their small, but top quality, selection of bakes. A pleasant visit with welcoming service.

Delicious coffee. Also various cakes, tiramisu, cannoli and panini. A very short trip to Italy. You can take away too. Will return.

Pastries and desserts by Modigliani are simply superb. We regularly have them and are happier people as a result. So happy we have this in Cambridge. Coffee is also very nice and the staff very kind. PS: my in-laws, who have a bakery shop in Italy, visited recently and were also very impressed by Modigliani's desserts. Highly recommended!

Absolutely outraged at the service!! I have been in here many times before, and although the food is very nice, I find the guy behind the counter generally very offish and not too bothered whether I am there or not. He has never been grateful for my trade .The occasional smile would be nice. But today, he was extremely rude!!!!! I asked for a weak large latte, and he proceeded to make it with 2 shots. I stopped him, but he'd already put 1.5 shots in. Rather than changing it or apologising, he just handed it to me with a shrug of his shoulders, which was very annoying, to say the least. I put some sugar in and told him it was way too strong for me, at which point he just argued with me about it, saying I asked for a large latte. Even though I had clearly said about 3 times, I wanted it weak. Because he was being so difficult with me I decided to politely leave the latte with him and told him I wouldn't be returning again. He carried on arguing with me and then finally said he would make me a new one. All the time he was making the new one, he was berating me for being apparantly rude. I told him to just get on with it so I could leave, and then he said he was going to phone the police because I was being rude but he was being deliberately slow in making the new one whilst constantly taking a dig at me. He was the one who got the order wrong and should simply have smiled and said he would make it again. But all he wanted was an argument. I reminded him he had zero customers in the shop, and it hadn't been the first time, too, and that I really wasn't surprised. I personally will never be visiting this overated little coffee shop again.

So delicate, yet crispy cornettos, with decadent Nutella filling, accompanied by rich and strong espresso, waking up every cell of the body. Such a great way to wake up. And don't start me on the sandwiches - pure perfection! It hit all my spots.

One of the best places in Cambridge for coffe and sweet treats, if not the best. The staff is really friendly and welcoming.

Hands down one of the best cafe’s in Cambridge, if not the best. Delicious coffee, pastries and Italian delicacies. A really high quality of service and food. Highly recommend.

Went for a Saltimbocca sandwich and coffee for breakfast. Greeted wonderfully by the hosts Anna and Antony. Food prepared warm and immaculately. Excellent customer service and hospitality from the staff. Be sure to visit if in Cambridge. 5/5 will visit again!

The pastries in this cafe are delicious!! I am normally not into sweet foods but Modigliani's pastries are far too good not to eat. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Cambridge. (Their pistachio biscuits and tarts are my favourite)

We popped in for a little breakfast when staying in Cambridge and we were blown away with the quality. We’ve visited Italy and we didn’t find croissants this delicious. The plain croissant has a subtle flavour (wait until you try) and rich in butter, they were the best we have ever tasted. This place is in a league of its own when it comes to coffee and pastries. A must visit if you’re in Cambridge. Plus, super friendly staff. Thank you!

I went to Modigliani a few times for doughnuts with pistachio or Italian custard cream and the tiramisu-these were the best I’ve had so far! Staff are always helpful and friendly too. The cafe is in a really nice central location in mill road and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for Italian treats.
