Food is nice, both restaurant and takeaway but the owner lady is a little bit difficult/could work on service. I normally get their takeaway pho but opted for a banh mi for the first time. For £9.2, it’s a pretty punchy lunchtime choice. When it came I asked for chilli and the newer server said she’d have to get from the main kitchen. I know they have chilli in pots with lime right there at the takeaway place. I get a little pot every time I get a pho, but for some really weird reason the owner lady wouldn’t let the newer server give me that and there was an awkward exchange where I told the newer server, don’t worry about it. Really weird. We’re talking 10p worth of chilli if that. Just so strange and a little off putting. Who doesn’t add chilli to their banh mi… the weirdness of the interaction has actually put me off going back. I know it’s a tiny thing, but there I was staring at 10 small pots of chilli with a slice of lime in each and I said, can’t I just buy one of those! But no. No sriracha, no chilli, nothing. Went into Itsu, bought some edamame, asked can I have a pot to get some sriracha, hey presto.

MOC Kitchen is a fantastic find for authentic Vietnamese food in London. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and full of the vibrant tastes that make Vietnamese cuisine so special. I especially loved the pho, with its rich, aromatic broth and tender meat, and the spring rolls, which were crispy and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are welcoming, making it a great place for a relaxed meal. Whether you're craving a comforting bowl of pho or some tasty banh mi, MOC Kitchen delivers a delicious, authentic experience. Highly recommend for Vietnamese food lovers!

I visited on a weekday at 4pm with a friend just before the dinner rush, so it was just us and the servers and chefs. The decor is beautiful. We ordered pho, and got it within 5 minutes. I got the beef brisket pho for £15 and it was divine!! Im a Vietnamese person and biased to my mum's pho, but the broth was gorgeous. The beef could've been fattier but that's a personal preference. I didn't need to add anything to it but we were given lemon, coriander, chilli and sriracha if we needed it.

It's a small place under the arches of Charring Cross station. The ambience is not so great with congested seating and not much gap between tables and less space for service. Came here as we were seeing a show next door at the Charing Cross theatre. When we arrived it was completely empty but this changed very quickly and it turned it to a bustling little space. I’m sure it’s more than the convenience of being close to the theatre that brings people here as it’s among the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. There were quite a few veggie options on the menu which was great to see. The salt and pepper aubergine was fresh, fried, crispy and all kinds of delicious, with a great chilli sauce to pair with it. The Pho was easily among the best I’ve ever had, the broth could have had more depth but that’s a challenge you expect when you turn a dish vegetarian. The noodles within were perfectly cooked and had a good bite and the tofu was the most generously portioned I’ve seen. Usually if you order a pho somewhere you get a few slices of meat/tofu/etc but here there was a really good amount. The service here was a little slow but it could also be because as soon as any waiting staff appeared the table next to me barked orders at them, which made getting the bill a little challenging. Although, given the circumstances, the staff were a lot more accommodating than I would have managed.

site_logo

MORE AT TripAdvisor

Four of use dined there last night. The first thing to note is that it's very small and space is at a premium so if you're against a wall trying to squeeze, between tables will be a challenge for anyone of average build. There is also just a single unisex toilet for customers. The food We ordered a variety of dishes, starters and mains and whilst I was unimpressed with the "forbidden duck", overcooked and dry, the papaya salad was good, spring rolls were small but plentiful , (had to ask twice for some dipping sauce) the "luc luc" beef was okay but the fried pak-choi was cold. Where improvements do need to be made is with the waiting staff, who seem more focused on their phones, than paying closer attention to their customers, and at times it was a challenge to get their attention. Drink selections are very limited, probably constrained by space so don't go expecting anything beyond a basic selection of beer/vodka/gin/coke etc. Overall cost was just short of £200 which included a 12% service charge, which grated somewhat given the poor service. Overall the food is a bit hit and miss but the poor waiting service and the service charge means I'll be looking for alternative Vietnamese options around the West End to Moc Kitchen

I recently had the pleasure of dining there and trying their beef vermicelli noodle dish. Moc Kitchen is a small, Vietnamese restaurant located under the arches of Charing Cross train station. It has a cozy and casual atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. The menu features a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes, all made with fresh and authentic ingredients. I ordered the beef vermicelli noodle dish, which is a classic Vietnamese dish made with rice noodles, grilled beef, vegetables, and a flavourful dipping sauce. The beef was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the noodles were perfectly al dente. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, and the dipping sauce was tangy and flavourful. Overall, I was very impressed with my meal at Moc Kitchen. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the prices were reasonable.
