Mirchi Masala in Neath Port Talbot

Ordered a takeaway for delivery. After waiting over an hour my order turned up. Order was over £50 and there were items missing, so after calling they told me it would be 45/60 minutes wait. I didn't think this was acceptable and told them to send the delivery driver back to take the food away. They then put the phone down on me so, I drove down to the takeaway with the food to get my money back. On arrival the missing items were waiting for me so, I thought give them another chance. After arriving back home I found that they had not put the complete order into the box yet again so after calling back but this time very annoyed I had the same answer as before ,45/60 minutes as we are very busy. One of the items I order was king prawn masala, once opening it up not only was it cold by this time but the prawn masala was in fact chicken which had a burnt flavour to it. I hope that the person who had the king prawn masala didn't have an allergy with prawns. I've been going here for many years but the last few meals there have been very average and this was the last straw for me, I'll never take my custom there again.

This Indian takeaway is superb ! We often order from here for a family celebration and the service and quality are always to a very high standard. Delivery takes about an hour, from opening time, perfectly acceptable. The menu is extensive and is always plentiful and delicious. We tend to try alternative dishes. My partner and I usually share a mains as the amount of food is a very generous portion. Great delivery people . What's not to like too, about a night of not having to cook dinner !! I cannot recommend this establishment enough and as a family we all love eating from here.

Been here Many times before but tonight took over an hour delivery for an address around the corner. Food took 50 minutes to arrived after they said it had left, food arrived stone cold and the dansak was too hot too eat (for people who enjoy a Madras) rang to complain and they laughed. Won't order from here again.

Received half a portion of prawn karahi and burnt saag paneer , when I called and explained the situation , I was told “5er off next bill” , I proceeded to tell the guy that there would not be a next time at this rate. So asked if he could resolve my issue then and there as it had ruined my Friday evenings eating experience with my partner. I was shouted at down the phone , told “You don’t know what a portion looks like” , “you don’t order prawn dishes all the time so how would You know?” and literally the words “you are wrong” After getting nothing but a stressed out manager who’s who’s attitude was as burnt as the tofu consistency paneer I’d been unlucky enough to receive , I was forced to hang up the phone . I have never been spoken to like that by someone who supposedly provides a service of any kind that I pay for. Truly abhorrent and disrespectful behaviour towards me will ensure I never eat there again. The food is usually ok, but tonight it wasn’t and when I politely requested that be sorted , I get hounded by some ignorant man who has the customer service skills of a tracheotomy. I appreciate everyone has off days , and that goes with the food too. But I’m reasonable, and the guy was not , when given the chance to resolve , he inflamed the situation by shouting at me for not agreeing with him ?! I’ll be leaving any review with pictures of the meagre portions and burnt curry so see for yourself. Do yourself a favour , throw all previous pre conceptions of what a “portion” is out the window , embrace you’re sadomasochistic vibes, as you won’t be spoken to like this unless you pay for it in a basement in Prague on a stag weekend. And prepare to have you’re opinions shot down like a Luftwaffe pilot during the Battle of Britain. Truly vile experience.

This takeaway will knock spots off any high end Indian that I have ever visited. The choice of unique chefs dishes would suit all levels of spice preference. If thats not enough, the portion sizes are far more generous than your usual restaurants, plus their first class service and delivery timescales just adds to overall experience which keeps you going back for more. Highly recommended!

Very disappointing..... expected a long wait for our delivery but when finally came no rice for the curry, no salad for the tandoori chicken 2 pomodums instead of paying for 6!!!!!! tried phoning for over half an hour phone off the hook ..... went to the takeaway no sorry .... no extras and still no 4 pomodums never ever again will I spend £30 for cold food in that dreadful place please don’t go there as you’ll be very disappointed

So the food is usually good here but we ordered for delivery a few weeks back and when the delivery driver got here he said the bill came to a little bit more than it said when I placed the order, but thought ok simple mistake that’s fine. Ordered again tonight and when the delivery driver dropped off the food he charged me £2 and 7p more than my order had come to online, it seems a bit strange for this to happen twice and has put me off ordering in future if I’m honest.

Best takeaway in the area....highly recommended. Goan Chicken Curry and Mem Saab's Favourite is a must!

I have cooked Indian food for over thirty years but I never eaten such badly cooked food Prawn puree was laden with coconut since when has this dish ever included coconut? I can find no recipe which includes this ingredient My Chicken Jalfrezi comprised a sauce overly spiced, uncooked onions, chunks of raw onions, uncooked green peppers quarters of uncooked tomatoes. My partner's vindaloo had the same level of spice and heat as my dish. I didn't realise that they were the same!!! Don't go there unless you want just chilli heat because it all tastes the same Yuk

This is prob the best indian take away in te area with good prices and a very good menu, car park nearby

Ordered the Chicken Tikka and some kind of vegetable curry. I thought it was all pretty good, although I’m new to Indian food. Free home delivery with a minimum order of £7 which is not bad at all. Will definitely order again.

dont usually complain but this chiken tika massala as got to be one of the worst from a takeway that ive ever had. the blood red colour was enough to but you of. also the flavour was bland and just tasting of coconut. ive had better curry from the chip shop.

Food came and some of the order was missing, when putting my food out I also noticed one of the dishes had mushrooms in which I specifically asked for them to not put in as my mother is allergic to them. After ringing them and explaining they failed to show any remorse and said they would give us the replacement next time as they were really busy there tonight. We were then left with half a meal and also couldn’t even eat what we had been given due to them failing to offer a replacement straight away. Should have gone to McDonald’s

Ordered a takeaway for delivery, was told it would take an hour and twenty minutes which I thought was a long wait, arrived after an hour and forty minutes and was stone cold when it did finally come. The food was tasty but late and cold is not my idea of good service.

Just polished off another excellent chicken madras, with keema nan and pilaw rice. The standard they are setting is superb i have tried elsewhere to test the waters i am sorry to say that i should never had strayed, i have eaten curries for 40 years and i must say that these are probably to quote a good lager the best i have tasted.

Ill Keep it short up to the highest standard once again, superb, tasty and reasonably priced, keep at it your the best in town

This is my local Indian Takeaway and I can honestly say it would be hard to beat it in the whole of the UK.

I have ordered from Mirchi Masalla for awhile and I've been meaning to write a review until now.

He probado todos los llevar indios en la zona, pero siempre a Mirchi debido a su consistencia y calidad. Mi favorito es el cordero galés curry preparados a su gusto. He probado un montón de sus platos y muy rara vez me ha decepcionado. El servicio siempre es rápido. Sigan con el buen trabajo. No te pierdas la oportunidad de volver de nuevo o llame para su primera.

I use this place a couple of times a month, had one on Tuesday and was dissapointed madras was very vinegary and the rice was watery, on friday i thought lets give another local curry house a try, but i thought well lets give it another try, and when it arrived the consistency was like a madras and the rice was perfect also the keema naan was superb must have been a different chef, but hey oh back on form

The telephone srvice was excellent..deliverd ontime..and the meal was hot,best i have ever tasted well done to all..and full marks to the Chef.

Been regularly using this takeaway since it opened and have always had good meals, occasional venture to other indian takeaways but always realise this is still the best in the area.

He estado yendo aquí regularmente, ya que el sitio abierto. Nunca tuvimos una mala comida aquí y el personal es muy amable. Recomendaría el murghi mezcla y también el de madrás. Comida encantadora.

Got to say we use the Mirchi most weeks for a take away and they never disappoint great service and food is great big portions and the delivery service is great if they say a time it's on time Cheers guys

I've only ever had takeout, the food is amazing and from what I've had very authentic. Decent value for money and the veggie options are good to.

We regularly order take away food from the Mirchi, and every meal has been more than satisfactory. If any problems arise, eg, rice not sent in the delivery, the missing item is sent to you quickly .We have also been given extras with our original order, if the food is late, or if we have had to wait for any length of time. The delivery drivers are great, as are the front of house staff.. Excellent.

Have had many meals from this takeaway as I pass through regularly. Set meal options are great value and food I have always found to be spot on and great flavour. Staff are happy to recommend things if you're unsure what to go for and they are happy to make the curries to your preferred strength. Highly recommended.

had worst food experience ever in Perth. We ordered Bombay Chicken and Hyderbadi Kebab for entree. Bombay chicken supposed to have gram flour batter (struggled to find any), it was so bitter and full of mustard seeds, we could not even finish quarter of portion. Hyderbadi kebab was cold and soggy. Mains weren't any better either, Paneer Pasanda was full of pickle stuffing which made it horrible to eat, so salty and bitter you just can't imagine, Hayderbadi Handi curry had raw and large chunks of vegetable. Waitress brought our naans and roomali roti, we were surprised when she took back roomali roti and brought only half a portion of original. To add further horrible surprise, we were charged corkage despite me checking with staff prior to making a booking and no mention on the menu. Literally we wasted $85 and ruined our evening, money gone down the gutter. Never going again, An expensive lesson indeed.

Very clean from what we seen but will not visit again curry was powdery not mixed and seemed meat had been added later the naan was ok and rice nice

Ordered a take out last night the total order for 5 of us was 30 pounds 80 pence fantastic value and food was spot on and delivered dead on time

Had a takeaway meal and the curry was full of flavour with a thick sauce. Its the best yet. A place not to be missed !

This was the best Indian in town when they first opened, It was my local at first i had some good tasty meals, i tried most of the curry's but after a few weeks it came like curry sauce, I noticed they had cut down on the meat. and also the onion bhaji are very small.

If you enjoy hot Curry's here is the place to go as they have a section just for hot curry lovers. The Bollywood burner is so tasty. They use real nagas too, not that naga pickle stuff that most use. Good food and free delivery. Probabaly the best indian takeaway in town.

I'm a huge fan of Indian food so when I had a leaflet though the door, I thought I'd give Mirchi Masalla a try. And I am SO glad I did! This is honestly about the best takeaway I've ever had. I've been ordering once every week or two ever since! The food is so rich in flavour - it has to be tried.The menu offers a huge selection of dishes from all over the Indian subcontinent from the classics, baltis, biriyani, chef's specialties, Mirchi Masalla specialties and even sections for hot curries and garlic lovers! Vegetarians are very well catered for too, with lots of really tasty dishes and the selection of sides and starters is impressive, too. Dishes I recommend:Chicken tikka Sri Lanka (exotic and fiery, lots of rich spices and coconut. My favourite.)South Indian mustard red chilli chicken Chicken roshani (if you like garlic, you'll love this!)Tava Machi (white fish with a lovely fried onion sauce)Also, don't forget the spicy chips - they come brushed with garlic, onions and spice and they're absolutely delicious! Even my mum loves them and she doesn't "do" spicy food!I honestly have not got a bad word to say about this place. It's very reasonably priced, your food is often earlier than expected and with your order you get a free salad, poppadoms and raita. The establishment itself is very modern and funky and obviously kept clean and pristine. Friendly drivers are a bonus, too. I really would not order an Indian from anywhere else now that I've found this gem!

When visiting family in Port Talbot we love a curry from here, consistently the best takeaway in town in my opinion, very very tasty.

I've passed this place many time but always stuck to my usual Indian elsewhere. A menu was posted through my door last week and the selection of dishes were very impressive so I decided to give it a try. Thank god I did!! Honestly the best food I have had from anywhere. I won't be going to my usual takeaway after trying these :-)

I agree this is a nice indian if you want take away food but cant understand why its being reviewed under the restaurants section. They do offer free samples but its just a big greasy bowl of nibbles on the counter free for every minger to maul. For me I still prefer the sha

First time i have been and you can tell its all fresh ingredients and the curry portion was perfect.Really value for money.

We decided to have a take away curry for bonfire night and this is always our first choice in the Port Talbot area. There is an excellent choice of dishes on the menu and everything is reasonably priced. The food is always delicious and generous in portion size, and the staff are always extremely polite. We usually collect our orders but they do deliver within the area. We have never been disappointed with any meal we have had from this take away and always keep coming back here. They definitely serve the best curry in Port Talbot.

Food was rather tasteless and not very spicey for a parthia, also much smaller portions and more expensive than the othe takeaways in the area.
