Minick of St Andrews in Fife

Now live near Manchester but every time I visit the area I pop into Stuart's shop in St Andrews. Top of the agenda are the unbeatable steak pies which are vastly superior to the offerings down South. I always end up taking several to converts near where I live. They have been enjoyed as far away as the Isle of Man!! My work colleagues always ask when I'm coming up to Scotland so they can savour the pies that cannot be had down here. Remember Stuart and his dad from Tayport over 20 years ago. Definitely the best butcher around with very helpful staff.

Best butcher around, meat quality excellent. Also good variety of none meat products. Steak pies and mince rounds are excellent

Bought some sausages and a Lamb meatball stuffed with haggis . All were delicious . Sadly do not live in the area . Cannot visit very often .

We had 3 BBQ packs on the weekend for a birthday party - and the meat was outstanding. The service was excellent and the butcher very kindly changed Pork Chops for burgers - perfect. Their products are always first class as is the choice on offer. Well done - I would highly recommend and will certainly be returning! Thank you

I love popping in to a traditional butcher shop for a look at the meat, and this one did not disappoint. The meat is outstanding and service is superb. We went for a BBQ pack which was £20. 4 burgers (choice of so many different flavours) 4 sausages (again with choice) 4 pork fillets (choice of flavours) 4 chicken kebabs (choice of beef, chicken or pork, or a mix) 4 Kofta kebabs (you guessed it, with choices. Can’t wait to go back. Not only excellent value but really high quality.

I am spending more and more time in Cupar as my partner lives there. He has been shopping at Minick’s since it first opened. Mike says the butcher is, along with the rest of the staff, very chatty and happy to find cuts of meat to suit your needs. I have to stand outside with our Labrador, Beau, and peer through the window at all the goodies on offer. I’m sure Beau would love to go in and choose for himself! Every purchase Mike has made has gone towards an excellent meal, cooked by the man himself. Whether it is mince and tatties, pork chops, stovies with lamb shank or ham-hock soup, it is all delicious, thanks to the excellent ingredients. This town has an award-winning butcher to be proud of. If you’re on a self-catering holiday in the area, then this is the place to shop for you meat.

Back in Cupar and the first port of call is this excellent Butcher ,a superb array of beautiful looking meat and sausages . Lovely cold hams and pies . There is hot food available as well ,it is always a good sign when local tradesman are queuing fo a hot ppie or sausage roll . We will be sampling our purchases over the weekend

Try to shop there once a week. The Mediterranean burgers are amazing! I highly recommend getting your weekly shopping there.

Good range of quality meats, friendly informative staff. They went out of their way to prepare goods to take home to freeze. Can't rate them high enough. Some interesting products particular to them.

First class butchers-not cheap, but very high quality.All produce of an excellent standard.Difficult to pass by without calling in.

Stopped off here with my daughter on our way home. She purchased beef dripping to make stovies. My wife occasionally pops in here too for her butcher meat. In fact we both have been in most of Stuart Minick's five shops which are located in Cupar, St. Andrews, Ladybank, Newport-On-Tay and his most recent shop having been opened in Anstruther. A great artisan butcher and we have never been disappointed with a purchase. The Cupar shop usually has a small range of hot food to take away too, but as it was around 4pm that we visited today the hot food cabinet was empty. Need to visit earlier the next time!

Attracted to the beautiful meat display this we bought their pork sausages and potted meat . We saw bacon and sausages sizzling for carryouts and could not resist them (their own products of course ) The quality on offer is outstanding and we will certainly be back next time we are in Cupar
