The lovely lady owner was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her food. Had vegan, veggie and non veggie food available and knew the history of it all and nearly all was hand made from scratch. We had beautiful French onion soup and scones with homemade jam for after. We had a lock conversation about jam making as I am also a jam maker. The owner was very chatty and friendly. The cafe is also dog friendly. Will be back.

Dropped in here with luggage on the way to pick up a campervan for our Highland adventure. We were warmly welcomed by very friendly staff who were not at all phased by the luggage in their small space, and gave us a very tasty cooked breakfast. Paper plates and cups, fast service and very reasonably priced. Particularly recommend the chai latte, which was as good as those we had in India on our last trip abroad.

Absolutely lovely lady with amazing local knowledge and a keen interest in plant-based and healthy food/growing practises. Coffee has a really nice flavour and Karen refreshingly uses barista soya milk which can be hard to find outside of large cities. Thank you for everything :)

My husband and I stopped off here for a breakfast after our first baby scan a while back and had such a warm welcome. The lady who owns it and even the regulars in the cafe make you feel right at home. Then the food was brought out, we opted for the good old Scottish fry up with a big mug of tea and it was perfect. Probably ate more than I could usually manage as it was cooked to perfection and very tasty! This is a gem of a place! Will be back!

Small and delightful. But enough about me. The café has a handful of tables, attended by a keen and helpful lady, the quality of the menu is consistently great. Mini breakfast for £3.50 (hot drink, toast, bacon, egg, beans, sausage) is excellent value, but more dishes available than you could count, including lots of specials. Allergy and veg friendly too. The kind of café you thought still existed only in old films - the proprietor will nip over the road to Baynes if she runs out of rolls! - but is very much alive and well here in Inverkeithing.

Working in Inverkeithing today needed to pop in somewhere for lunch. What a lovely surprise to find Millbrae café. Fancied the fish but they didn’t have any so the owner nipped down to the fish shop and came back and cooked The most delicious fresh fish served with chips with the option of peas or baked beans. There was home-made tartar sauce to boot. What a great find! Highly recommend

I returned to this small welcoming comfortable cafe in the heart of this little historic town on Good Friday.I had the large Scottish cooked breakfast with tea and top up for a more than reasonable £6.99.This included Link and Lorne sausage, fried egg, tomatoes, potato scone, beans, mushrooms, black pudding/haggis, bacon and four buttered toast. The owner was as pleasant and chatty as ever. The menu is always very fresh, remarkably extensive and based on local produce eg the fish and chips are a delight.Bus,train,PO,Library,Museum, free parking, and Historical buildings are nearby.

My family and I visited the Millbrae Cafe today and the 4 of us were made very welcome. It is quite small but very busy. People moved tables to allow us to sit together. We had coffee and homemade scones with butter and jam. The decaf latte was delicious and hot. The scones were warmed and delicious. We will definitely visit again. If you want good food and friendly helpful service then give this place a visit.

This was my first visit to the cafe. My motor was in for an MOT at a nearby industrial estate so I had about an hour to kill. Decided to pop in for a cuppa and a bacon roll. Was served promptly and politely and the Bacon roll was delicious compared to other places that I have been. There seemed to be a steady stream of folk coming in and out so seems a popular place with the locals. Would recommend to others if you have some time to kill like I did or even just for a daily cuppa.

Millbrae is a small cafe on the High Street in Inverkeithing. There are only a few tables, but it is worth sitting at one. The food was good, the prices very reasonable, and the service prompt and friendly. It is one of very few places I've found in UK that offer free refills on coffee - something this American is used to at home.

Whilst visiting family we went here each day for breakfast and for a lunch. The lady who owns and runs it is very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The place is warm, clean and the ingredients are local and freshly cooked. It was also great value for money. It turned out that she also catered for the funeral we were in Scotland for and the food and soup she did was delicious. I will make a point of point of popping in again if we are ever up that way.

On a cold autumnal morning,I had a superb cooked breakfast here today. It comprised two sausages, two lean bacon, potato scone, haggis, fried egg, beans, mushrooms and four generous pieces of toast. The coffee was much improved on my last visit. The welcome was warm even when I spilled a milk jug! This all came to only £6.You do not expect a small cafe to match the local big names like Dobbies,Tesco Decks,Wetherspoons or the 7 Kings yet, remarkably, this little cafe does. The fact it is so busy is the best advert of all though! The menu is extensive, another surprise.

I went with a friend for Friday lunch. We both had fish and chips - fresh fish 'netted' from local fishmonger as we sat there, and homemade chips....HOMEMADE CHIPS... made from local potatoes. Washed down with the nicest coffee I've had for a long time...a caftiere of locally brewed beans. Delish! Karen goes out of her way to source high quality local ingredients, then cooks and bakes with flair, combining the best of traditional home cooking with inventive modern twists. Her pleasure in feeding and treating people sets the tone for customers and staff alike. Try her amazing veggie soups with soda bread and if you are lucky, her homemade butter!

This is a wee gem of a cafe. All the produce is sourced locally and prepared with care. They cater for all your low GI food and gluten free needs. This is a true case of "don't judge a book by its cover" if you try the soups and home made soda bread it is a delight.Keep away from the mass produced High Street chains of bakery that are all around and pop into the Millbrae cafe for something that is wholesome and good for you. There's also a lot off local history attached to this wee gem.

We've been a few times now and always try something different. I've had the Victoria sponge, the cheesecake and the various scones and they are all fabulous! The service is great and the staff are very friendly - the only thing that lets it down is the poor ventilation.
