Ming's Chinese Take-away in New Forest

The food tasted like it had all been reheated in microwave. It’s was dry. Really disappointed

How to take away from Mings this evening unfortunately it wasn’t very good. I had chicken noodle and mushroom Soup which was very salty and I think they were Frightened to put any chicken in it and what there was didn’t taste right. I had chicken kung Po Very disappointing I just wonder if the actual chicken was real chicken it didn’t have the texture you would’ve thought chicken to have if I was in a position to get it tested then I think I might well be right. My wife had Singapore chicken noodles chow mein too spicy, dry and nasty. Overall spent nearly £30 but to be honest it was a waste of money and definitely won’t be going back and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. Sorry mings you need to up your game.

Food took 2.25 hours to arrive from order, but was nice.

Mings used to deliver with their own driver. Now using just eat or a third party means this delivery was late ! Very disappointing! Sad times.

Placed an order, received order confirmation email and order confirmation on just eat. Phoned Mings after the delivery time-slot had passed to be told the order was cancelled as they don’t deliver to my postcode. No notification or call from the restaurant, terrible service.

Ribs were very dry and fatty. The noodles were tasteless and again very dry, hardly any vegetables. I ordered salt and pepper ribs and spicy rice veg noodles, asked for the noodles to be extra spicy, even called them back to make sure, yet totally bland. One to avoid. No return for me

Bad quality , Singapore is more like normal rice , no spice or flavour . RIP off !!

Was given estimated delivery time of 18.10 when first placing order this was an hours wait for placing order. Called restaurant after update said food had been delivered, was told food was with the driver at 18.55.. called again at 19’30 food still with driver and waited for a call back to confirm where the driver was…. Assured food on way. Food arrived cold.

Slightly past the latest time it should be delivered however well worth the wait and being a Saturday night expected. Finally found a good Chinese in totton!

Just had a takeaway from Mings. Our order was taken over the phone, very efficiently. We ordered beef in oyster sauce, no veg. Egg fried rice, salt pepper spare ribs, chicken satay skewers, pancake rolls, chicken sweetcorn soup and prawn crackers. Delivery was very quick, the delivery man was friendly, polite and courteous. The food was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. Thank you.

generally a good experience we are frequent customers. Today late and cold had to be warmed up.

Ordered takeaway for family, we collected on time. drove home to eat, I had ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork Balls with rice which I was Very Disappointed with the batter was soft and chewy to eat and the pork was so dry I feel these were cooked hours before and then reheated. Also my son had a foo young which also was Very Dry to heat. Wont be returning in the future will stick with the Chinese in Lyndhurst..

Phoned an order for 2 meals and went to pick up the food 20 minutes later. Went to pay for the food with my credit card but was told that they only accept cash which necessitated my having to drive home and back to Ming's. Arrived home with the meals but found that I had been given a prawn meal instead of chicken. Won't be going there again!

Always our go to Chinese in the area! Food is so good! Delivery was fast this evening, a bit more of a wait at weekends but it just proves how good it is and it’s worth the wait if there is one!

Ordered from here whilst on holiday in the area. It was unreal. It’s made me realise how poor the Chinese takeaways are where I live.

Order didn’t arrive, and wouldn’t answer phone

Sadly I was really disappointed with my 1st experience of Mings, we have recently moved to the area and won't be returning to Mings in what we hoped would be our new regular for Chinese. The food was bland and overall disappointing. Definitely not worth £30 (ish)

When camping in new forest we always order one night from here and the food is always fantastic. Best mixed meat chow mein! Delivered to the camp site which was great! And the mixed balls ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Has the chef changed? Soggy chips, far too much chilli on the chips to the point it’s in eatable? What’s happened? Loved mings but think we will have to try elsewhere with the standards dropping

Large portions but not the greatest taste thr shredded smoked chicken is just hard nearly broke a tooth and the bag of chips is the smallest I've ever seen first and last time ordering

Delivery time stated 45-60mins when order. Then got told 1hr 30mins, finally arrived after two hours.

food arrived after 2 1/2 hrs after chasing it up to be told will be 10 min. still took a further 20 min. no apology forthcoming. this is the second time this has happened. won't be using anymore.

Thought we would try a different Chinese takeaway tonight. Saw Mings had good reviews, didn't disappoint. I'm not a massive fan of Chinese but kids choice tonight and one of the best Chinese takeaways we have had. Full of flavour, hot, tasted fresh.

Bought 2 Special Chow Mein meals. Delicious! Thank you. Their set meals for 2 are excellent too.

Ordered for 17 people, called before hand and was able to give a time to collect. The food was ready at the time and from the various adults who ordered everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We are used to having slightly thinner Singapore noodles but the taste was fantastic 😋 Thank you Mings and Merry Christmas

I use this takeaway alot but tonight I was not at all pleased with the food. The rice had burnt bits in it and the curry was a strange taste. Usually food is lovely

Ordered 3 dishes with the vegetarian duck. When we got home 2 of the dishes were made with real duck. Mings done an exchange for these and a fried garlic rice but had given us egg fried rice then instead of garlic fried rice. This was a birthday treat meal to be eating with friends. the meal was ruined having to travel back to Totton from Romsey for the correct meal. They refused to make the whole meal again for us. Pathos meal was ordered online so it wasn’t a language confusion! Bad customer support. Not recommend.

Really slow delivery. The food was so salty we couldn't eat it. When we called to complain they offered us more food but we weren't waiting for another hour as we'd already waited almost two hours. We asked for a refund but told us to ask Just Eat for a refund.

Not one of your finest, did not the rice and meat! together. Lots of chewy batter but very little meat. We also normally get complimentary prawn crackers but not today. Not up to your normal standards, sorry.

Haven’t had a takeaway for a while so this was a welcome treat and we weren’t disappointed. Definitely recommend their salt & pepper squid.

Another "cash only" business if you walk in, you'll be directed to the cash point by Tesco if you try to pay by card. No signs saying this is how they operate.

Delicious food! The Orange Chicken is so good!! It was SO quick, that I was astonished to get a notification that the driver was on his way- AFTER I received the food! Fast, friendly service. Highly recommend!

really decent meal had and delivered to time, was happy and a bit over whelmed with the amount of food, some places with set menus do less per box so ordered a bit extra that we certainly didn't need but will enjoy tomorrow! delivery guy was punctual and polite, one mark down to 'loved it' (which we did) as the ribs ended up as dog food, but everything else was really superb

I thought I would give this place another try I wish I hadn't bothered spring rolls so over cooked they shattered and there was no filling, chicken satay and ribs again so over cooked they were like leather I dissected the Hong Kong prawns and I was disgusted at the lack of so called King prawn it's just gloop covered in sauce and for £16.60 I would like a refund thank you I will call you and arrange to come back. Ordered a meal told to collect at 7pm I had ordered an Indian meal as well which was next door I collected that at 7 also and did not get the Chinese meal until 7:30 I asked several times where was it and she kept telling me it was being packed. When I finally got it she said I was rude hence why I didn’t get any prawn crackers. The Indian was cold and we had to eat it quickly as we were out at 8:00. Will not eat there again.

Quick service, food was hot and tasty. Only thing for me is the pancake rolls could do with being a bit bigger please.
