Absolutely love this Chinese takeaway. Never once had a bad meal.

Vegetarian options were there. Food taste was good.

Very large portions, but I would have preferred better quality, this place used to be really good, not now.

Food was not that tasty and they didn't give us the salted chips which we'd ordered and paid for, but we didn't notice til we got home. What a rip off!!!

The chicken was so dry i had to consume 50lts of water just to get through it.. i dropped a peace on the floor and it shattered like glass🙈.wouldn't go back.

I’m a local & been using this restaurant for 20 years, it definitely been bought over recently. Customer service is shocking & food quality is disgusting & not authentic. Delivery times over an hour & frequent missing order items. Avoid at all costs!

What has gone wrong with this place? have been a customer for years but feel quite disappointed in recent occasions. final start was this weekend when I ordered Pork curry and Lemon Chicken. Both meals were very basic, minimal and not of the quality we are used to or expect. Certainly not good value of price. The curry consisted of pork in a sauce with a few slides of onion, on previous occasions,curries have consisted on more vegetables and garnish. The lemon chicken was a greater shock with battered chicken in a sauce and 1 slice of lemon. With no onion, pineapple and the occasional sliced carrots. Nor garnish with lemon and cucumber. I don't know why meals have been reduced in quality and content but I was expecting proper standard meals and not just meat in a tub. If this is the new standard, I will now go elsewhere. Tried to contact staff about this but have had no response.

WARNING ⚠️ Managers attitude is disgusting because he doesn't like to hear the truth about his food being missing and taking over 2 hours to arrive when food came all order was wrong and uneditable was cold think before u order from this place.

Lives up to the name ming as was wrong order and they wouldn't change it stay clear of this poison

The prawn toast was super dry and had to go to the bin. The special fried rice was too old and dry with dry chewy pork on top. My hot and sour soup was neither really hot nor sour. The website for ordering allowed specifying food preferences so I selected "No onion" which was one of the suggested options. Despite that, about 75% of the dishes were onions. The rest of the food was ok but rather underwhelming in taste. First and last time I tried.

First time I have used this place. Didn’t enjoy the food. Fried chicken wing starter was far too greasy. Prawn balls were undercooked so went straight in the bin. Special Curry was so under seasoned it was tasteless. Will not use again

We had a takeaway from. Ming Palace yesterday and were hugely impressed. The hot and sour soup was the best we have ever tasted but everything else was equally good. It was the first time we have tried this Chinese Takeaway and it totally exceeded our expectations. We look forward to going back very soon.

This is my local Chinese takeaway, and it 8s delicious, the portions are fab and the food is lovely and always delivered by such a nice driver too. It was my mum's favourite place too. If I order Chinese food it's from here.

First time I have visited in a little while and I really enjoyed it. The standard of cooking was very good and all the dishes were excellent. I think this will be our takeaway of choice in the future.

Good but was better under old management

I've deleted my last review. As I got an order an dunno how they got it wrong ..as i ask foe chicken staty off skewer.....but instead an this is not the 1st time....they gave me on instead it was so difficult to get the chicken off the skewers an made a mess also . As also ther wasn't enough sauce for the fried rice. So very disappointed tonight as. I work in the area an on ns...I enjoy the Chinese but tonight this will make me go else we're...reason of the 2 stars rice was OK but didn't finsh as I usually do. But half if it was n bin the chicken skewers was so dry due to lack of sauce.....very disappointed 😞

Had half a crispy duck the best ever so crispy and fresh great takeaway highly recommend.

As far as carry out Chinese food goes it is in the top say 4 for good food excellent quality very generous portions. If you enjoy king prawn dishes as I do !!! The prawns are large very well cooked large soft and tasty.

Just had the set meal for 2.. it was delicious. Plenty of food for 3-4 people. It was £22 and so worth the cost. We had a meal in a stable bar this week, dry fish and chips, this was so much better in taste. Shame we go home tomorrow so won't be able to sample anything else from this menu! Highly recommended 👌

Ok. Nothing amazing but tasty enough to keep coming back...

Last nights meal was excellent. This is the first time l have used this take away and would have no hesitation in recommending it. All courses were freshly cooked with excellent tasty ingredients.

Always friendly when collecting and food is amazing

Have used this place in the past and it was just ok but the satay chicken I ordered from here most recently was awful. The satay sauce tasted nothing at all like a satay should, instead it was just bland and gloopy.. no sweet or spicy peanuts flavour whatsover. It Ruined the whole dish so had to throw most of it away. Found a much better Chinese a little further away.

As on holiday at the mortthall caravan park, Was looking on there handy number list saw this establishment so thought we give it a try!! Got the takeaway delivered here food was fairly nice great portion size Delivery driver very pleasant If back here will order food from hear again 😊👍

Excellent takeaway meal for two during lockdown period. Very tasty meals and good value as slways. Friendly staff ensuring safe distancing when we collected our order. Highly recommend.

Best chinese this side of edinburgh hands down very fresh meat veg everything always soft and fresh never chewy or crunchy

Have passed this place for years when visiting my dad. Tried it tonight. What an amazing spread we had. Huge tasty portions and not expensive. Meal for 3 well under £30. Will definitely be back when I Edinburgh again.

Great food, friendly staff, amazing portions! Everything was fantastic, but the Thai red curry was especially good - delightfully spicy and incredibly fragrant. Not a long wait at all on a Friday night! We'll be regulars!

We eat here almost every Friday. We go to restaurant to order, waiting just few mins. Very fast! The food always taste fresh and very good. We all love it including my two small kids. (King prawn fried rice, beef in black beans sauce with peppers + egg fried rice and honey chicken for my daughter are our usual) recommend!

Ordered salt & pepper chips pity about the muck they put with it i always order food that doesnt have ONIONS or any other bits the chicken balls were nice the egg fried rice tasted weird NOT PLAIN all i wanted was good food but what i got was awful chips that stank i couldnt even eat the chips because of the ONIONS the chips were soggy & disgusting as for the egg fried rice tasting weird all i ate was the chicken balls the bin got the rest 🤬🤬🤬

Nice takeaway close to mortonhall caravan site reasonably priced

Tasty Chinese food at a reasonable price. Service was speedy for us, especially as we'd walked in and ordered during what appeared to be a busy time. I had the won ton soup, crispy beef in chilli sauce and noodles. The highlight was the beef. Hot, sour and full of large pieces of ginger. As taste sensation on the tongue. Would order again.

Friendly service and food is delicious! We loved the hot and sour soup - filling and spicy and the crispy duck and hot spicy chilli beef dishes were perfectly cooked. Will be our new regular takeaway! Highly recommended.

They are so gd with my boys and i trust the woman as my boys go to the same nursery as my son and my huspband love to walk up and get a chicken cgow main and chicken curry for as i am pregnant and cant stop eating this .

Started using this takeaway only about 2 months ago. I think it depends in what dish you buy. Dont get me wrong canr beat this place for portion sizee and friendliness but thats me had 3 beef curries and they have all been bad. I know people will say but you ordered 3. 1. Because it was 1st time i thought it was ok and the other dishes have been good. 2. Thought ok again give benefit of doubt 3 omg again the beef was this time so unedible senew rubberry and had to be all thrown away. Sorry but wont be ordering again i think i have given a fair review. Its like chinese food these days over priced the 1st ones always nice but then next ones crap

My wife and I ave been customers of this take away for many years since it opened and rate it as worthy of 5 Stars for its consistent quality of food and large portions at reasonable prices.

Excellent take away, never disappoints

Conveniently located between two main suburbs on the outside of town. Average food, great service and very fast. If you are driving home then this is a great place to stop off and get a treat. At least I think a Chinese takeaway should be a treat. This is reasonably priced and their Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong style rivals anybody else in town. Great option if you are nearby.

I'm almost ashamed to say these guys knew my order from voice. I'd like to think it was because my voice is distinctive, rather than I was ordering every Saturday night! I cannot recommend the food and service highly enough. I only ever cheated on them a few times with another.
