Fantastic breakfast, good quality ingredients. I took my mam here, I had the standard breakfast (photo) at £6.95 and she had the mini at £4.95. Both have have such a good portion size we're set for the day. We both made some swaps which weren't a problem. Food freshly prepared so it came out hot. Can't fault

The best ever breakfast in Northumberland. Cooked perfectly, the quality of the food is excellent and the amount of the food is incredible, full English breakfast 2 Bacon 2 sausage fried egg 2 hash browns with tomato and beans & 2 slices of blackpudding. Together with 2 large slices of toast + marmalade. Unbelievable value. Definitely worth a visit.

We had two hot sandwiches followed by two cream scones, delicious and great value. The cafe is in a park so the kids can have a run around while you gorge yourself. The cafe also have a food bank of sorts and a school uniform rail to help out families struggling in the current climate.

I am from the local area and I originally went here to to see about volunteering opportunities for pupils I work with in a local school. Since that visit, my pupils have been working here regularly and they love it! They've even made a soup the other day from a local donation of veg from Aldi. Get down there and buy it, if it isn't already sold out! During my original visit I had my son with me. We both had a full English and it was delicious and amazing value too. I have spoken to the owner a few times and he's a smashing lad. He's built the place up from dereliction because he wants to give something back to the community he loves. As a result and as as you can see by the photos, he's done an amazing job. The food and drinks on offer are cheaper than virtually anywhere for miles and they're good too! They offer donated bread, fruit and veg etc for a price of your choice! They even provide uniform for local pupils too to save parents rising uniform costs. They have a small but affordable menu and they also welcome dogs. This is great as the attached field is of a big size and great to walk your beloved pooch/s. The cafe even sell dog treats and poop bags at unbeatable prices! There's also a play park just outside for the little ones. So to conclude; the Miner's Lamp Cafe is a well liked local cafe with good food and drinks at fantastic prices. Great for dog walkers and families and a great supporter of bringing the local community together.

Go there 2 to 3 times a week, run by volunteers it’s a lovely place to go when you are walking the dog or if you take the children to the park. It has a variety of food from English breakfasts, bacon sandwiches to coffee, ice cream ,shortbread and cookies. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed for a night, was a nice place. Only downside was the food. Expensive burger van food. Had a meal at a service station on the way home that was half the price and twice the quality.

Randomly decided to buy fish & chips for lunch. Excellent quality and massive portions. Probably should have bought one and shared it. Friendly service

Great place to visit so much to see and do. For those who love long walks, they will enjoy. The house has plenty of stairs, so be aware if mobility is an issue. I used my mobility scooter to get from the car park to the house and then to the visitor centre for some lunch with a wonder round the gift shop. With the cost of entry and food it can be expensive but the food is excellent quality. All the staff are welcoming, friendly, and ready to answer any questions.

Great fish as i try not to eat chips I've only one criticism, the fish are cooked to order which i understand but they then just put them straight in a box, the grease that's left in the box makes the batter soggy and inedible. If given five minutes to drain they'd be even better. But still the best in the area.
