If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We ordered the platter for 3 and it came after 3 minutes. Food was not fresh and we knew it was from the day before. It was tasteless and the quality did not reflect the price of £28 at all! Rice tasted like sand for some reason and everything was cold. No one could continue eating as we felt sick. We spoke to the owner and he was getting angry and talking aggressively. They only accept cash and when we asked how come there's a card machine there he said there's no electricity?? Place very unhygienic and claustrophobic. Never coming back again and recommend people to avoid this place. Not real mandi at all.

Disgusting...its 3rd time in a row, food no good at all....never again....ordered set meal for 5...but no taste,,very few meat pieces with hard rice to chew,, quality gone down the hill. In the past few month ago, it was fantastic. But now after todays meal, I don't think I will visit this place again ever....

Ordered chicken mandi. The chicken was as small as a bird. It was shocking. The price keeps on increasing and the chicken keeps on shrinking. As for meat, I agree with other comments, it is full with bones. You don't try to make profit this way, especially in a place full of other restaurants. Use little bit of common sense. I am not going there anymore. Small chicken being sold for £10 while looking at the size, I doubt it cost them £2 per piece 🤔 This is for the owner, in Arabic, hoping that he might read it, if he bothers The size of the Mandi chicken that you sell is smaller than the size of a bird. The cost of chickens of this size does not exceed 2 pounds each, and you sell the chicken for ten pounds, meaning that the profit rate is approximately 400 percent. Use your mind to solve this problem that you have put yourself in, and remember that a restaurant without customers is not... It means anything

Ordered a lamb Mandi rice and collected it personally . The person serving was very miserable and put three pieces of lamb which consisted of mostly bone and lamb fat , hardly any lamb !. The rice and salad was fresh and ok . I have ordered of them before and there is a world of difference what they serve now.There has been a dramatic deterioration in quality . Sadly it’s all about maximising profit over quality . The meat was not fit for it to be served for consumption . Very disappointed !

One of the best somali restaurant to go to. We got the platter for two and was quite filling. Lamb was well cooked 💯. I would definitely recommend to try. Only think was the half chicken was a bit dry Anyone looking for hijama contact @AfterHoursCupping

I recently visited Mandi House for a taste of mandi. The lamb pieces were well-cooked and tender. The chicken pieces were also juicy and flavorful. Overall, Mandi House provides an authentic, satisfying mandi experience. I would suggest getting the naan bread instead of the rice to better complement the flavorful meats. I would recommend it to anyone seeking to try this Middle Eastern cuisine. Just be prepared for the small space and limited parking.

They provide one of the best Mandies in the Area, food portion is great for the price you pay, there is a good variety of Tea and Coffee and a typical Middle Eastern Environment, you'd enjoy it if you have been to the Gulf States

Mandi well well well. First time food was decent. 2nd time round not so much. Think it was ready as i placed the order and 2 minutes after that they brought the order. Interesting. They have private dining area for familys which is covered. Place could do with a refurb. They have a card machine upon request. Toilets are in a dire state. And tissue comes off a roll at the till. If you want the back home kind of feel you need to visit this place. Not to mention parking is an absolute nightmare in that area. So leave enough time to find parking...

The food was very good nice and tender mea with good flavour. The service was excellent and they also have private sections so you can take your wife and she can eat more comfortably. Also the price is very reasonable Alhamdulillah. I would definitely recommend, May Allah put Barak in this restaurant business.

Really bad food they gave me food poisoning I felt sick 5 times after eating their food I wouldn't advise eating here at all they served me food two minutes after waiting and the rice felt really out dated and the meat was dry. A good mandi takes a good while to make fresh and the meat is boiled and steamed fresh these guys don't know what mandi really is. I seriously wouldn't advise eating here at all. I had a really bad experience eating here I would advise that nobody eats here for your own health and safety. I know what a good mandi is after eating it in dubai countless times these guys haven't a clue what mandi is and just serve you anything that is left over from the last night. Seriously bad food take my advise and stay away from this place.

Have been buying platters over the past few years from Mandi house and have thoroughly enjoyed them with family and friends, but sadly lately i was disappointed. Meat had a very strong smell and so did the sheesh kebabs they were not edible, and family said same, something has changed less seasoning perhaps?? Rice, noodles and chicken were good.

Happiness in a meal. Nothing fancy. Just pure taste and deliciousness! Love it

Food here was amazing. Meat slipped off the bone, flavours were mega, quality would more than beat fine dining food. It is a humble place, which harks back to its humble origins. I highly recommend it!

Do not go unless u want to get robbed! No doubt food is nice but prices are overly charged and customer service is quite poor staff don't know what they doing. Went to this restaurant as it was quiet (now I know why) and the 1 that i usually go to was busier that day, which is a few shops down from this 1 called samaa this is much better.

Although this place doesn't look like much from the outside this is a great place for Mandi. Seating is abit tight and it's more a place for the boys than families.

This is one of the best restaurants in West Midlands. The food is affordable and delicious.

Food was nice, however the service was very bad, very uncomfortable to the point where I would never return again. Not sure if it was the fact that I was a woman without a hijab or a woman in the first place. But left feeling horrible and uncomfortable. Avoid unless you are a fully covered woman. The workers make you feel as though you killed their family, so rude it’s unbelievable.

A really good variety of different dishes they have. However, I did find the meat I got in the mix grill to be more on the chewier side.

Really nice food, great place to go with the whole family. Really friendly staff. Kids loved it, reading it 10/10! So that's a win! We bought a family platter which included rice and an array of meats. One platter was enough for 2 adults and 5 kids.

First time here and I loved the food the privacy we had eating was nice. we bought a meal for 2 which was 16.99 and it was more than enough, quick service, lovely staff and we loved the food yes I would come again😍❤️

Best Mandi (Rice + roast) in town. My friends and I drive up from London just to enjoy this meal. The meat just falls off the bone and tastes just out of this world. Top it off with their traditional tea. You wont regret it.

Very disappointed with mandi house the food quality is not the same anymore. I tried the shawarma three times within a few weeks and was very disappointed as it lacks taste and portion is smaller. The meal for 2 platter chicken was not fresh and undercooked. The price charged for the platter should reflect the quality and taste but both non existent. Instead of giving humus they had put mayonnaise with the salad.

Overall a not so pleasing experience from service to cleanliness to food.

Authentic mandi rice. Delicious. Quick service even though non-stop customers come in. The overall cleanliness to be improved. The toilet to be improved a lot. The plastic mat is unsustainable, better not to use it.

Dinner , not the exceptional food as before pandemic... smaller portion , less meat in the sharing , few leafs of salad and the hummus watery (now needs to be ordered separate) Shame this was one of my favourite restaurants. Ps. The toilets were disgusting

First of all this is not mandi so please change the name of the restaurant. We were served rice which tasted like lemon rice, tomato pasta, vegetable curry, a few shawarma pieces and lamb and chicken without any flavored seasoning - this dish was labelled Mandi. The dish was a complete disaster which made no sense. The few shawarmas in the dish was the only thing that tasted decent. Prior to this dish, we were served with lamb soup which was lovely and packed with flavour. The staff were very dull in their service with no, delayed or little response with no smile on their faces. The young server boy was however humble and smiled at one point.

Went there today was truly amazed. - The food is so cheap, and it taste amazing. - Service is great and fast. - also love the fact they made effort to segregate the seating areas, making it fit for Islamic requirements.

False advertising regarding the meal for 1 The contents clearly state it comes with rice, pasta, chicken, lamb, shawarma, curry, veg and salad. He presented me a bag with rice, pasta, lamb, shawarma and salad. Then he argued that the contents are for meal for 2 and above despite it being labelled for Meal for 1. Dishonest and argumentative workers.

Not great Mandi, my wife makes better Lamb and rice than this place. You can taste the fatty lamb in every bite and not much flavour. If you want proper Mandi, you must try Bab al-hara. For me its 10/10.

Similar food to the other shops in this region but their veggie soup they put on the rice has slightly better flavour than the others.

Really nice Ethiopian food Visited Mandi allot during Ramadan Their beef samosas are something else Lamb sheesh and chicken streak with rice and pasta was pukka

Too bad places to eat in Birmingham

The food here was really nice.I'll definitely be going again. The staff were friendly to.They also have cubicles for the family with Arab style sofa on the floor which was really nice.

In the 4th of May I have invited my friends to celebrate Eid alfater so I have called them to arranged booking in advance as we coming from different city they told us to come without booking we have space and food so when we arrived they said everything runs out unfortunately that made me disappointed and very impressed in front of my friend so we had to go to look for other places to eat.
