Ladana Cafe in Birmingham

Not happy at all with this cafe we ordered on uber eats club sandwiches with Arabic bread but they sent the order with normal white bread. I have rung them up and asked why you sent my order with normal white bread, first she said I don't know second she said we can't make club sandwich with Arabic bread. My question is if you don't bother what the customers want then why you give customers all the fake options Lastly If you don't have what the customer asked for or can't make with Arabic bread, then you should give a call to the customer and ask them what they want to do.

Decent food but the staff are in too much of a rush to remain attentive to the tables. Good selection of foods especially breakfast.

Great food, great portion size, great price , outstanding customer service, the only letdown is that they don't give tap water.

Great food and great service, Ladana never disappoints. Always a pleasure to see the manager Megan who is so welcoming and goes above and beyond! They cater for gluten free too which is fantastic.

Have been a regular customer at Ladana for yearand every time I come in it never fails to amaze me. No matter how busy it is the service is always 100% on point. Good food, good sheesha and mini is the most attentive and welcoming member of staff. Never fails to amaze me by going above and beyond. Would 100% recommend this place.

Came this morning was greeted so well by a gentlemen at the front and the service just got better we was a group of 5 with 2 babies, waiter was so good was recommending dishes for us. food came out piping hot drinks were amazing full of flavour the lady manager never got her name was so lovely kept asking if we needed anything else and having a conversation with the little ones at the same time she even cleared our table took all the plates once we were finished, which was a bit of a surprise as there were staff around but no Job seems to be Small or Big to this lady she was wiping down tables ! Hats off to the owner to have managers that are hands on. Will surely be coming back great service.

Good customer service from Troy, enjoyed the shisha and food. Friendly service although I was on my own. Was very picky on my shisha flavours but uday accommodated to the way I like it done. Would definitely recommend and come back

Though there was a wait to be seated and served owing to it's popularity and the venue was quite cold at times due to various door openings, the experience was a good first one and I would return and recommend. There is a diverse range of staff and customers which was lovely to see and dividers in each part of the seating area, assumingly since COVID which was also nice and enabled some level of privacy.

Ladana never fails to host its customers with full care and attention, all staff are respectful and professional , each staff take care of their customers with mannerism and care . I was hosting a private dinner for my girls and Mini was ever so helpful along with the gentleman who helped me set up and kept me company while I waited for my girls to arrive . Their hospitality is always on point and everyone is lovely to talk to .

Food was delicious and came quick, atmosphere was good as music was not too loud and tables were spaced out.

We came into Ladana for breakfast, and I can tell you both the customer service and food has been amazing. I would like to thank Asha for her great hospitality and service she provided to me and my mother. She was beyond happy with the service and said there needs to be more caring, compassionate employees like Asha in this day and age. Was really happy Alhamdulilah, thank you Asha and the Ladana team ones again!

This place gets super busy - we arrived around 2 on a Sunday and had to queue outside for a bit. It was surely worth it though as the service and food was amazing. I had the shakshuka and it was amazing, a bit spicy but not over the top. The bread that came with it was very tasty and fresh! Make sure to try their desi tea as it's next level!! After 4pm they also do shisha, with different flavours to choose from.

Went there for a Saturday morning brunch with a friend. The food was good and presentation was excellent. The French toast was just right and not too overwhelming with the seasoning. The croissant and egg was also fab .. no complaint. The atmosphere was nice with low music in the background. It was a bit chilly so they turned on the heating which made us more comfortable. The service was nice and the staff were smiley and friendly. Reading the previous comments I can see they have improved on some of the things previous mentioned. Would deffo come again.

Overall the experience was lovely. Food was good but cafe became very busy once we were seated and it was cold (although they did turn the heating on). The French toast was good but the Arabian breakfast was mid. Service was excellent.

Coffee is extremely poor quality no taste of coffee just a bit of milk in water.

Joined some friends for brunch around 11am on a Friday morning and it was so busy! However the service was still very good and not compromised by the number of people in the restaurant. We ordered 2 English breakfasts and a Ladana Benedict. Everything was tasty except the turkey rashers - if they're not cooked well/crispy they just taste meaty. The Pistachio Iced Spanish latte was amazing! The best iced drink I've ever tasted. Totally recommend.

I visit this café regularly for breakfast, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently fresh and delicious. The customer service is exceptional – the staff are always friendly. The manager (I’ve unfortunately forgotten her name) is absolutely lovely and goes out of her way to ensure every customer has a great experience. It’s one of those places you can always count on for quality food and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Can’t recommend this place enough !!!!! It’s not just the food that makes it but also the staff especially Mini. SHES THE REAL MVP!!! she’s so bubbly and welcoming and always makes sure customers are happy and greets with a smile . Shes the reason ladana is how it is mashallah .

only got the french toast but it was very good! would’ve gotten more but it was so filling but presentation was amazing. i went on a quiet day so it was much better than the usual rush. the mock tails are always my fave. i’d recommend the pomegranate one 🙂‍↔️

Food and ambience was amazing. Love the interior and the staff were absolutely amazing. Went for the breakfast and was not disappointed. The French toast was delicious and food was yummy. Would definitely try the desi tea as it is really nice. Will be visiting again soon and make this a regular food spot.

Visited after years due to bad experiences. We were pleasantly surprised! There was a group of 14 of us, despite it being busy we were seated within 5/10 mins. Our food arrived really quick considering there was so many of us it came out within 15minutes. The waiter was attentive. The food was absolutely amazing, as where the drinks, could not fault a thing! Deffo will be back again

First time here today absolutely amazing 🤩 We we're greated upon arrival and sat in a waiting area for a table. Minutes later we we're greated by a lady that I think was a manager. She was absolutely brilliant from the get go we mentioned it was my daughter's birthday and they were willing to go above and beyond to make it special for her. Our waiter was Saf, he was absolutely flawless with his service and looked after us the entire time. Alot more to say but I wouldn't stop. Please try this little hidden gem. Yesterday i had the pleasure of visiting Ladana Cafe, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the outstanding hospitality provided by Sharif. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was warmly welcomed, and the atmosphere immediately felt inviting and cozy. Sharif’s dedication to providing top-tier service is evident in every aspect of the cafe. His warm and friendly demeanor, combined with a genuine passion for hospitality, made me feel not just like a customer but like a valued guest. He went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring that my experience was perfect in every way. The attention to detail at Ladana Cafe is truly impressive. The ambiance is charming and thoughtfully designed, creating a space where you can relax and enjoy your time. The menu offered a delightful array of choices, and each dish was prepared with care and quality ingredients. Sharif’s knowledge of the menu and his enthusiasm for the offerings added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit.

Tried the full English breakfast and it was amazing! Only thing I didn’t like was the mushrooms but if you think you won’t like them definitely ask for them not to put any on your plate but other than that, it was nice overall.

Saf is a credit to Ladana! Served us for Ezmae’s Birthday, and made it extra special! Food is beautiful and atmosphere is great! Will be back soon!

My number1 go to shisha lounge in the UK hands down. The shisha’s amazing very high tech and doesn’t burn. Staff are amazing knowledgeable of the menu and very friendly. The food’s great and the presentation’s on point. Management’s amazing too I noticed on one of my visits that the manager (female with a blazer on I really hope she reads this) called her team the dream team and wished members of staff a good evening as her shift ended and made her way out waving at them, what a positive work environment. Keep up the good work I should end this review with saying I love you guys you rock! A final big shoutout to the shisha guys (wish I knew their names will probably ask next time I’m here) one burns his lungs to start my shisha and when I get picky with the drag he fixes the shisha for me promptly and the other one who is very talented and hands down makes the best shishas and checks in regularly.

Food was okay, but very cramped. 3 people on one tiny table. Felt like a pack of sardines. Focus on customer experience not just turnover.

I’ve come here a few times for brunch and they never disappoint!

Visiting birmingham and was recommended this place by a friend. After a quick google search, from pictures we thought to try it out. Unfortunately was a disappointment from the first minute. The cafe has no parking and when you ask the waiters where's safe from the traffic warden to park, they have no idea. We ordered the Full English Breakfast, Eggs royale and a fresh orange juice. English breakfast was poor with overdone eggs, undercooked (or even uncooked) turkey bacon and lack of any flavour or quality ingredients to make it stand out at all from the much cheaper places on the same road. Eggs royale had uncooked egg whites, some strange potato chip/crisps and untoasted english muffins and the orange juice had been watered down to a point where it pretty much just tasted like water. But the bad experience didn't end there. Halfway through our meal a waiter approaches and confiscates our water bottles. When questioned why? he couldn't give me us a reason and all he would say is your not allowed to bring your own drinks! Firstly, it was water, not a drink, and secondly i have never been to any establishment ever in my life, where im not allowed to drink from my own water bottle!! This was shocking and at this point we decided to leave. I could tell this was done on the instruction of the manager sat behind the bar twiddling his thumbs doing nothing to ensure his customers are happy and satisfied with their visit. Even as he took payment for the meal with a miserable face, he couldn't even be bothered to ask if we were happy with the food and service.

I gave 4 stars only because everything was superb except the real dirty and tatty menus. What a shame everything is perfect but the menus were in a horrible state. Come on guys pull it together. Those paper placemat type menus are fantastic maybe consider those.

Good food for the price, the juices are very good. The pistachio latte was too much sugar but it was ok. Could be more kids friendly (providing highchair and drawing as activities for kids).

Foods always good, would recommend the milkshakes. Iced latte was very disappointing as it had no taste.

Small details deserve more careful attention. It doesn't matter how nice a place looks if there are 6 employees chatting downstairs and the bathroom is in poor condition.

Restaurant was pristine and bright. Service was quick and friendly. The Arabic Breakfast was spectacular and would fully recommend! Would come again.

Beautiful interior and atmosphere. Service was great. Friendly staff and always ready, the Spanish pistachio iced latte was delicious. Will be back for that definitely recommend. Found the breakfast very boring and basic. No spice or flavour to it really quite bland.

Friday staff and quick to bring food . We went for breakfast and we were enjoyed, Although we waited 20-30 minutes to get table. Difficult to find parking.

Great food great service best French toast in Birmingham

Astonishingly horrible staff. Have come multiple times and experienced the same disgusting treatment multiple times. The staff member with the braids in his hair particularly disrespectful. Would highly avoid this place simply due to staffing issues.

The queues outside this place when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon set my expectations (high!). The queue moved relatively quickly, and we were seated sooner that most as we said we didn’t mind being in the patio area. On hindsight, I’m glad we settled for the patio area, as the cafe itself is a bit dull and cold inside. I was shocked by the menus (pieces of paper stapled together, it looked like it’d been typed up on Microsoft Word); and we had to ask for more than one menu for a table of five. We ordered teas, coffees and juices, and a range of breakfast and brunch options. The food actually arrived sooner than I was expecting, and my Eggs Benedict was very tasty. The hollandaise sauce was good, and the turkey bacon was just divine! Really lovely coffee too. The only reason I’ve marked this place down is because of the ambience and service. I can see why they’re popular, particularly among the South Asian community, as their halal breakfast options genuinely taste good. But the hospitality is lacking. It’s just sloppy service, confused waiters, and little things like horrible menus and a dull environment indoors brings this place down. I don’t think I’d go again purely because I didn’t enjoy the service.

Overpriced outdated decor beans was cold

Unfortunately due to a glitch in the system we waited 40 minutes for our food which had not arrived. However once we informed staff, Megan, I think she is the manager, delt with it swiftly ensuring our food was made, apologised genuinely and offered us free drinks or dessert for the inconvenience. She also checked up on us to make sure we were happy. Her service was impeccable. We left happy and enjoyed the food.

Had such a good time this afternoon. Food was incredible the breakfasts were so good and great portion sizing. Staff were incredible friendly, especially Megan who gave us her recommendations for drinks (Spanish latte was so good!!) Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back again!

My first time at Ladana on a friend's recommendation. Food was excellent, however very, very poor customer service from the female manager at the till. We were a group of 3. We had breakfast and finished at 11am. We asked a member of staff if it is ok to stay in the waiting area as we would like to have dessert later on before leaving after 1pm. He moved us. Around 1pm, a waiter was sent by the manager with the bill and we stated that we are ready to order dessert. The waiter went back to the manager and she said very rudely "it's been 3 hours already!". Bad luck for her we heard her as we were sitting right opposite her till. As you can imagine we didn't get dessert. Paid and left. I did mention this to the member of staff who moved us at the start; he apologised. To the manager: WE WERE NOT RUNNING AWAY, DID NOT INTEND TO DINE AND DASH AND SAT THERE HAVING COMMUNICATED THIS TO YOU! YOU SHOULD HAVE COME AND APOLOGISED! You lost our business, congratulations! We are now having dessert elsewhere! You should not be a manager, let alone be allowed to work in customer service! One star because of you!

Asked for tap water but then was told they do not serve tap water and that I had to buy their bottled water which was a small 500ml bottle that cost me £2.Ive never been denied tap water in my life at any restaurant or cafe After spending nearly £50 on food and drinks and still charging customers for tap water that is accessible everywhere is extortionate and greedy.

The house omelette is my go to. I've been there a few times now, and it never disappoints. Clean, and the decor is lovely. Definitely worth a visit!

The place was very busy and noisy, which is usually a good sign for a restaurant. However, it's time to upgrade the menus from the current college coursework style—just paper sheets stapled together. The food was okay; I had pasta, pancakes, and a milkshake. Not bad, but I won't be returning. pancake were doughy in the centre and more like crumpets than pancakes. The service was somewhat lackluster.

I rarely do ratings so I’m being genuine when I say this, the food came early and was absolutely incredible; the restaurant & food was visually pleasing and the service was just amazing. the servers in general was super kind but our waiter Rumel was really welcoming, friendly as well as understanding. I 100% recommend his services and would recommend anyone to go to Ladana!!

Ordered chicken sizzler but nothing special just marinated on bed of sweet chillie sauce. Tried the lamb meshwi but was hard and chewy - didn't taste freshly cooked 😕
