Comptoir Libanais Birmingham in Birmingham

Was our work Christmas meal, only 7 of us and had pre-paid and ordered. Worst service ever had in any establishment. Starters didn't arrive for 45 minutes and no one the whole visit checked on us, we had to keep getting the servers to clear up. Was only 4 choices of mains and deserts on Xmas menu and on both they didn't have 2 of the items, we had pre-ordered weeks before. My main came 45 minutes after everyone else's and as everyone had finished and was needing desert (as only had 2.5 hours booked lunch), had to take main away to-go! Three courses were £34.95, were not going to discount at all and no apology besides saying was busy. Took off 10% and service charge but was the most disappointing Christmas meal had. The food would have been nice, but our moods were ruined and still pricy for 1 skewer of chicken and rice. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Empezó mal con una experiencia terrible en recepción. Habíamos reservado, pero tuvimos que irrumpir ya que el personal parecía más decidido a vender que mostrar a la gente a mesas vacías. Pedimos un menú extra, dos veces, pero nunca llegamos. Todo parecía muy difícil , pedir, que te atendieran, etc. ¡pagar la cuenta era realmente rápido! Y la comida no era genial. Las berenjenas eran buenas, pero el resto era mediocre en el mejor de los casos. Nuestra comida principal no era nada para escribir a casa, el salmón y la salsa parecían formulados. De nuevo esperamos a que las edades obtuvieran nuestros pudines, y tuvimos que apresurarlos a obtener trenes, etc. No volvería

El restaurante más bonito, con la comida más auténtica y sabrosa. El personal es increíblemente amable y el servicio fue fantástico. Mi visita tomó un desafortunado giro de los acontecimientos y me sentí desmayado y me puse un poco mal. Estuve 3 horas lejos de casa y terriblemente ansioso, pero el personal era el grupo más atento y solidario de la gente. Gracias ❤️

Two and a half hours late. Cold. Never again.

Slow service and food wasn’t that great, was expensive for the portion and quality of meat.

The food is always spot on, being Middle Eastern myself I can be a tough critic but this place always keeps me coming back. Food is authentic and tasty, restaurant is clean & everything tastes super fresh. The service is also great every-time, no complaints.

This time we were served by Ahmed, who perfectly explained all details with Oriental food , spices and gave competent advice and recommendations - Thanks again, we'll come back every visit to Birmingham!

Este era el lugar perfecto para reunirse con hijas adultas y novios más jóvenes. La comida era excelente y divertido. Las porciones no son enormes si tienes hambre agrega tu meze favorito. Encantador encontrar un lugar donde no echen chile en todo Se disfrutaron varios cócteles, con y sin alcohol. Tenía jengibre y azafrán, mi esposo tenía un daiquiri rosa y no estoy seguro de lo que todos los demás tenían. El servicio fue razonablemente rápido, la decoración es colorida. Como persona con problemas auditivos me alegré de que fuimos ya que el almuerzo se estaba calmando y a los 5 años nos metieron en la parte trasera, así que la silla extra no era un obstáculo para nadie

Encontrar un lugar auténtico donde la pasión por la comida, la hospitalidad y el ambiente brille es una joya tan rara. La combinación de personas que realmente se preocupan, la atención a la presentación, la decoración y el ambiente, además de deliciosos platos bellamente elaborados, realmente hace la diferencia. Son lugares como estos los que nos recuerdan por qué salir a cenar puede ser una experiencia memorable y llena de alma.

When ever i travel to UK I try to visit Comptoir they have so many branches and this time I visited their Birmingham one. Always a delight to have food their so delicious halal food 😋

The food was very bland and the kebabs were dry and overdone. Not great at all. However the restaurant is very well decorated, with a nice ambience and atmosphere. Service was good.

Service from Emma was efficient and friendly

This was my third visit after almost one and a half years, but I was disappointed this time. The kebab was okay, but the rice was not warm enough and didn’t taste quite right—I stopped eating it after just a bite. On a positive note, we really liked the restaurant's decoration. Since we were with three children, we requested to be seated in the back to not disturb others but that request was refused for some reasons. We appreciated the complimentary food for two of the kids anyway. To be honest, the garlic bread was surprisingly better than the kebab.

This was my favorite restaurant in Birmingham. I travel for work here regularly and always had at least one meal/day there. This time I received an insultingly small portion, and also noticed something weird in the taste. What i can only describe as prezervatives like you would taste in the foods you would buy from the supermarket. It did not taste as fresh and fully prepared in ther restaurant. I hope they understand this is not a good direction and fix these issues. Until then this has been my last visit with them or any other restaurant in their chain

Lovely vibe about this place, stunning decor and delicious food. However, for the price point the portions aren’t that great. I’d hope for bigger portions!

Just had a lovely lunch, nice fresh ingredients and a bit different to your typical lunchtime offering. Emma was really nice and helpful.

First time trying Lebanese food and it was all delicious. Our server Emma made us feel really welcome and had a lovely warm smile.

Experience was lovely. It was a vision of the Middle East. Antony gave a warm welcoming service just like the Middle Eastern culture. The whole team were exceptional. Meat was to die for. Thank you Comptoir Libanais for giving us this wonderful memory and evening.

I visited the one in grand center, Everything was brilliant and food was great taste particularly mama zahra, mixed maza The staff is very nice and professional with customer especially ahmad amara Within two days, I visited two times Because tasty food and good halal option. Emma with a great service and very friendly

I stopped at the restaurant on the way to the airport and I was not disappointed. I found the service very attentive and made sure that I was leaving as a happy client. I was served by Emma and she was very sweet as was the rest of the staff. I ordered chicken wings, pomegranate salad and potatoes. It was all very tasty and fresh authentic ingredients of lebanese food. I wish I live closer so I could visit more often.

I came here for my daughter’s birthday and they offered to surprise her with a little cake and they sang happy birthday it was an amazing experience we loved is so much the staff were amazing and the food was delicious, all of the staff were so kind but especially one of the staff adnan was so nice and generous, thank you for the amazing experience and it was a special day for my daughter thank you so much! Whenever there is a special occasion I will always come here!!!

First of all the place looks great, food is very good and the staff on duty were excellent and very welcoming. The place was very busy and we had a 15 minute wait to get in as there were only 2 staff on duty for a busy restaurant Whatever they are paying the 2 girls, they deserve more but does need extra staff

The food is overpriced compared to many other places that offer more variety and better quality. The lamb, in particular, seemed like it had been cooked a while ago and simply reheated. The kids' menu is quite standard, with no real difference.

We had a delicious meal here. The food was served quickly, although the service was a bit busy. Very nice people with a smile and good service. After dinner we had baklawa, and the man serving us gave us sweet tea because it tasted so good. He was right! I'm happy with the experience and everything we tasted.

Great friendly service from our host Adnan today. He went above and beyond to be accommodating and found me a quiet table to dine whilst my toddler was sleeping. I was able to enjoy my meal in peace and enjoy all the flavour. The experience was 10/10 and the food was 9/10 thank you

Staff was very kind and friendly. Service was good, they also observed birthday hero with a little gift. Food was also tasty, only thing which was minus on my opinion was that there were too little sauce (so much couscous that all The sauce was absorbed into it).

Had the most amazing dinner here on Friday night. Food was 10/10, atmosphere 10/10 and just really nice cosy vibes inside. Staff was so friendly and the waitress who served me and my friends was so lovely and added to my experience. Her name was Alicia who just made the evening even better but tbh all the staff were lovely and accommodating. Would highly recommend!

I’ve been here twice and the staff are very friendly. I was served by Adnan who was really sweet and even though I only came in for a hot drink, he made sure I was comfortable and accommodated.

My favourite restaurant in Birmingham!! The food is too die for and the interior is so nice and cultural. The homemade lemonades are so good!

First time visit and really impressed with the food, service and price. We shared a halloumi and fig starter and bowl of olives which were both delicious. Mains were lamb kofta flatbread and lamb tagine - both excellent with good portions. Staff are helpful, attentive and friendly. Our food was a little late (we hadn't noticed) so we were given a plate of desserts free! Nice place, great decor, fab staff and wonderful food. Go see for yourself!

I wanted to share my experience at a overpriced and overrated restaurant. I found the lentil soup to be a bit cold and under-seasoned. When I asked for a soup spoon, the staff said they didn't have any. I believe that if a restaurant charges a high price, they should provide the necessary cutlery. Additionally, the mixed grill I ordered had meat was tasteless and overcooked chicken. I was very disappointed considering the price I paid.

The food is outstanding here, my favourite place to eat in Birmingham. Lovely friendly staff and lovely decor. My go-to is the Lamb Kofta Open Wrap Platter with a side of their perfect spicy fried potatoes, washed down with a traditional Lebanese Lemonade.
