The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was amazing!

I visited this place with my brother and he went straight in because restaurant were all most empty and the built person came and start arguing with brother it’s not the way to came in restaurant you should wait outside and the way he said was very rude my brother said restaurant was empty then I interrupted I said what you want as to do shall we go outside and come again he start giving me aggressive look then my brother said leave it we are here for food let’s end this then he went back with heavly mood I never suggested anyone to this restaurant there is loads of decent options around. this place is one of those who believes and have superiority complex.

The food was very tasty and freshly made. The portions were a bit on the small side. Enjjoyed the food and would recommend the place for a meal.

I popped in a few weeks back on my way back from home work trip and thought of popping into this lovely restaurant with a great interior. Was quiet interested as never tried Lebanese food before , I was waited on by Dhruv ( I hope I spelled it correctly) who was absolutely amazing, made me feel right at home and was extremely attentive. As I have never tried the cuisine he also gave me suggestions on certain dishes which were 10/10. Highly reccomend!

Excellent meal and we were very well looked after by our waiter Dhaur. Had a fantastic meal, mixed grill, lamb tagine and the Baklava were super.

Our first visit to a Lebanon restaurant. We couldn't choose but Dhaur the waiter helped us choose and was very nice and helpful. The portion of food was big for us and we had one starter and two main courses. We finished it off with dessert which was amazing! A very good experience for us and definitely not our last visit to Lebanon cuisine :)

It’s like the waiters and waitresses walk around with their eyes closed. At the queue to enter, the waiters were standing around in the restaurant waiting for something to do, noticed us and did not come over or alert someone else to serve the queue. They had taken reservations but not prepared or cleaned tables until people arrived. We ordered drinks which never arrived and could not get waiters attention until we had almost finished our food so we just cancelled the drinks. 2 stars for the decent food but the customer service was genuinely frustrating. Management should train staff better and/or hire more staff.

Lovely food, great staff and a pretty place to be. Not keen on “service charges” being added to bills, but do ask for it to be removed if you feel the same. It should be a choice! I would definitely eat hear again.

Had a really good time trying out some new food recently! Everything tasted amazing, and it was nice to switch things up a bit. Emmanuela was super helpful and recommended some great dishes. Glad I went for it – made the whole experience even better.

35 minutes after ordering we were told one of our main dishes could not be made and we eventually received our food over 1 hour after ordering- we were only 2 adults! Food was poor, mixed grill lacked flavour (although falafel was ok). Also found ourselves repeating everything with the waiting staff at least three times. Also not as child friendly as other establishments, management has to approve heating of child food in the microwave, which ended up being cold. We had high hopes but unfortunately we can’t say we were impressed.

6 of us dined here for the first time before a show at the Alex. Beautiful decor. It was empty on arrival bar 2 other diners. We were seated quickly. The waiter was really friendly. It soon filled up & was busy within an hour. Drinks & food was amazing & tasty. Two things let this place down...1 toilet with a broken seat & adding a service charge! Ours was £25! We asked for it to be removed - when I dine out, I will decide if & how much of a tip to leave. We are not in the States! I feel its so rude.

First horrific experience November 2023, returned in January 2024 no improvements. We really wanted to love this place as the food is lovely, but it’s such a terrible experience!! First visit was for my daughter birthday - we were told they would make her feel special. The meal ended with my daughter crying. - waited a lifetime for service, when it arrived didn’t have a pen. She went to get a pen. Served 2 tables before I walked up to her and offered her a pen. - asked for water, 5 times, water came at the end of the meal. - no cutlery when food arrived, had to get up and sort out ourselves. - no birthday wish or birthday pudding (our party of 6 were ready to order pudding but no one came) - ginger manager couldn’t give a dam, was to busy making cocktails. - front of house apologetic but little compensation for ruining my daughter 14th birthday. January 2024, forgot half of my daughters order and then tried to charge us for it! And I am starting to question if it is self service for clearing tables, getting cutlery, ordering food, etc. Disappointed, but lucky to live in such a multicultural city with independent Lebanese restaurants!

Decent food but let down by the service. Not many tables and lots of staff but had to get up and ask someone to take the order, then up again 10 mins later to ask where drinks were. Starters then arrived with the main. The team seemed to struggle with most questions and we were told the original server was new. It seems to be the new norm - don’t train new staff and then rely on the goodwill of customers to have sympathy with the situation

Always go when we're in Birmingham. Food is always good, service varies from good to excellent. In our recent visit they adjusted quickly when we ended up with more people than we'd reserved for and helped us with our pram. For some reason they've started making the lights flash slowly which is just annoying. Other than that the decoration is great.

It took over 30 minutes for our drinks to be served. The drinks that we wanted (from the menu) were not available. A requested jug of water did not appear. The food took about an hour to arrive (the food was OK). The service was so slow that we did not have time for a desert. An allergy that was mentioned on the booking was ignored, when this was mentioned when we were ordering, the staff were unable to establish which spices were included in the food. A 12.5% service charge was automatically added to our bill! We will go somewhere else next time.

A disappointing experience for a birthday here. The service was remarkably poor, with our party being told its take-away only even though we had booked a table for 4, a red flag as soon as we entered. The staff were attentive but in regards to the miserable moody lady managing the place, when she wasn’t bossing her staff around she looked as though she was going to be physically sick every time a customer walked through door. The food is overpriced, lacked the quality and authenticity. Overall, not worth the expense for such a subpar dining experience. We felt as though they couldn’t wait to get us out. We’re usually happy to pay the service charge however here we requested it to be removed. Won’t be returning. P.S the chicken in the chicken taouk was cold. On the positive, it’s decorated nicely and most the staff were friendly.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon as a table of 4, never eaten here before but booked because the menu looked appealing. A few negative points- the restaurant has in excess off 60/70 seats, but there is 1, yes ONE toilet for all customers. This was in a poor state, with a broken toilet seat, and a flush that barely worked, soaking floor, terrible. It is overpriced, inauthentic food, lacks flavour in many dishes. Between us we ordered £150 of food and nothing was noteworthy, and of which we all ordered different mains and mezze dishes. We had to chase up 2 of our sides 2 or 3 times, which really shouldn't happen. Also had to go and find another fork ourselves as we didn't have enough and no staff came near us for a good while after our food was served. We ordered drinks first, and our food came before our drinks. The waiter then told us that 3 of the cocktails couldn't be made, so we reordered, only to have the original 'cocktails' served to us. I say 'cocktails' because they were bland, watered down and tasteless, complete waste of £30 on those. Again with previous reviews, they automatically add 12.5% service charge, we removed ours as the experience wasn't worthy of the tip. Will not return as it wasn't really anything to warrant returning for, especially when you have to wait 10 minutes to use the toilet.

Delicious food. Great service and lovely ambience. Food was oozing with flavour. For the price, portions can be bigger but flavour made up for it. Definitely recommend paying a visit.

Food was tasty and light. A different cuisine which makes a nice change and I look forward to coming here again. This is a place where you can have a healthy dinner and feel fulfilled. The decor was awesome - you can see a lot of thought has gone into it and in no way is it overwhelming. There is only one toilet which meant there was always two or three people waiting. It was a busy Saturday evening when I visited with my friends, but atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant.

Upon arrival, the staff just stared at me and my partner for a few minutes, then a waitress sat us down, didn’t ask if we have any dietary requirements, just dropped a few menus and walked off. We were sat for AT LEAST 30 minutes, watching other tables being filled and guests being served while patiently waiting, the waitress kept staring over, however continues to serve every other table. We eventually lost our patience, got up and left. Their restaurant in Oxford was great so we thought why not give it another go here, but really appalled at the attitude and lack of respect from their Birmingham staff, the restaurant was barely half full so business was no excuse to ignore guests for over 30 minutes. We went next door to Mowgli in the end, were seated and fed in LESS THAN 30 minutes, plus they were busier but still made us feel welcomed, staff at Mowgli are so attentive and friendly, we should have just gone there to begin with!

I tried the Lebanese food for the 1st time and I liked the taste, customer service while we were having the food was good because the lady helped me to choose a food from the menu since I had no idea about them. But at the end when we had to pay the bill another lady without asking me for extra customer service charge she took the bill, this is really unprofessional, that’s totally up to me if I want to give them customer service charge so for that they should ask the customers before charging those money. It was the only disappointment that I faced, I hope they stop doing this and improve their customer service

The atmosphere was really nice the deco of the restaurant was beautiful. Food was 10/10. I had the sea bass, it was well cooked, the flavours perfect, and the service was brilliant. The only downside is only 1 toilet, which even the staff uses. Definitely go again when I am in Birmingham again.

We had such a lovely meal here - we both commented on how we can’t remember a restaurant lately where every single member of staff was exceptional - they truly were here! From the greeter, to the waitress taking the order, to the gentleman bringing the food and drinks, to the waitress taking payment and clearing the plates - everyone was exceptionally friendly and genuinely so! The food really was very very good. We shared baba ganoush and humous to start, followed by a mixed grill and chicken and green olive tagine - all were tasty, and fresh and full of flavour. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant, it was fairly priced and really good food - along with exceptional service, I don’t know what more you could ask for.

Very poor experience overall, food is waay overpriced, I paid £15 for a shish kebab in a basic hotdog bun, the waiter didn't even know the menu so I wasn't even sure what I was ordering, on top of that my partners main came first, a mix grill which consisted of 2 shish kebabs and 3 pieces of poorly seasoned chicken for £17, my bun came 10 minutes later which ruined the eating experience. The cherry coconut cooler just tasted like tonic water! Including sides the bill was £68 with a 12.5% service charge which is a joke as the service was terrible, they couldn't even give the mains at the same time for 2 people! Would not go again, I've been to much cheaper Lebanese places which are more authentic and have better quality of food.

I have been here for lunch with friends and we were impressed with excellent the service received by Becky, from the greeting until the end of our meal. Everything was on top quality with professional attention to the detail from Becky. She is a wonderful role model for your company. Thank for the fantastic experience.

This is one of the biggest surprises for me, in terms of dinning or taking the lunch out. When in Birmingham, PLEASE DO NOT WALK AWAY UNTIL YOU'VE EAT HERE!! Guys, everything from the placement of the restaurant, to the service up to the food that they are serving was in tune with the harmony itself. Must try: hummus, baba ganush, rose tea! I will definitely visit again as they've conquered my taste buds!!!!! Go and try it! Do not miss them!

On my initial and final visit to Comptoir Libanais, I received the bill, which included a 12.5% service charge. Upon noticing this, I requested its removal due to unsatisfactory service. Unfortunately, the manager declined, spoke rudely, and ultimately marred what could have been an enjoyable day out.

Came for lunch and had the chicken wrap. It was a small portion, I was expecting a larger size wrap.

My order for two people, which I placed at noon, has still not arrived after 5pm. They say they don't have a vehicle. If you don't have a vehicle, why are you taking money from people? Businesses like yours should not be in the market. You should not be given a license. This is literally fraud. You must stop providing services in Birmingham. You should not deceive any more people.

Decent price for a middle eastern/ north African cuisine. Great atomsphere with its indoor decorations and staff were responsive/ quick. Great food and welcome people to share their dishes.

Booked a table and arrived a few minutes early as waiting for one of our party to arrive. Despite many tables being available was made to stand and wait. I wouldn’t mind but there was no reason for this as servers were not busy. When we were shown to our table we ordered a pint of IPA for the waiter to return with a 440ml can. When questioned he replied that whilst pints are on the menu they don’t serve them. During the course of the evening asked for water 3 times and this never arrived. Food was reasonable if overly salty. An automatic 12.5% service charge was added to the bill. This was not made clear at time of ordering. To be honest I don’t get the good reviews. Maybe we were unlucky. I wouldn’t go again.

Geweldig genoten!! We hadden met een groep van 12 personen afgesproken en we hebben allemaal stuk voor stuk genoten en onze vingers erbij afgelikt. Vriendelijk personeel, genoeg keuze opties en apart afrekenen was geen enkel probleem! Super aanrader!!

Wonderful food but was heavily let down by the service. 1+ hour wait for main meal with kids is not fun! We aren’t all perfect, but no good will gesture to rectify. Disappointing as it’s put me off going again. Only one toilet is also a let down as it was filthy. Pee everywhere. Not restaurants fault though that people are disgusting. 4 stars as I think most will have a wonderful experience.

Really lovely place for a meal, it was recommended to me by a friend about 6 months ago, and we finally got to try it out today. The food was delicious, really fresh and tasty, and the restaurant was very busy but didn’t feel rushed or overseen. We had 2 servers through our visit, and both were lovely, friendly and suggested ways to make the tea at home too. There was a 12.5% service charge, but for 2 of us having mains, desserts, 2 cold drinks and a rose mint tea, £51 including the tip was absolutely fair. We were STUFFED afterwards, so very much worth it! We both agree that if there was one in Lincoln, where we live, we’d make it a mission to try everything on the menu!!

Food and place is great but what's with this American system of service charges-added in the bill and then you end up having the awkward conversation of taking it off because it is optional. Just increase the food prices and pay a good wage- that's how prices are meant to work- to factor in staff, bills running costs and profits.

Went there with a bunch of good friends and great company. Lovely atmosphere, great food and crowd at Comptoir Libanais Birmingham. Met the chef, he was awesome and the staffs were amazing too. Price range is great for anyone who wants to get good cooked and delicious food. I had the spiced hot chocolate and then the mixed grill. Had a Great time with my Coding friends✌️

Wanted to give my sister a birthday treat on a busy Saturday afternoon. This place caught our eye, with it's beautiful archway, cosy looking couches, floral decorations and nice smelling food aromas. It was packed and very busy, but we were able to book a table for 15 minutes later. It was well worth the wait. There is a very good variety of food and drinks, including vegetarian and vegan options. The place has a lovely laid-back atmosphere even when it's busy, and the staff are very attentive. Will definitely be returning and trying out their other vegetarian options.

Popped in after our weekend in Birmingham. We had an hour to kill before our trian home so decided on this place. We had a warm welcome and brilliant service from the moment we walked in, Adnan really looked after us. The food was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was brilliant. We even had a leaving gift of some baklava. Would definitely return and if you're lucky enough to be served by Adnan you're in for a great experience

Fantastic Meal, food was exceptional, service by Abi and Team was outstanding... very informative, helpful and flexible. nothing was to much trouble.. managed to being food home as there was just too much... not a bad problem to have... cant wait for the next visit and to take friends with is. Having spent time in Lebanon (Beirut, Bekka) I cannot rate this highly enough. Thank you.
