Mimosa in Surrey Heath

This used to be good, has gone downhill, recently ordered online, dishes missing, wrong dishes, food was very poor quality

Great for taking hungry kids out for a celebration

Food was nice although limited. The prawn option was limited and no other seafood available but did have one fish dish but that was not stocked up much. Plenty of staff around the dishes constantly stiring and watching what was taken which felt a bit weird. Special were nothing special. Overall I had a good meal and enjoyed. If you want a drink you go to the bar which is a good idea. Will revisit as value for money and good location

It's okay. When we went a lot of the food bowls were close to empty and being filled quite slowly.

Good night out, nice as it wasn't packed out with too many people and it was easy without waiting at all. Plenty of space, easy as you pay first, I definitely will go back.

Duck dish was great, and i can't fault the portion sizes. Second dish was chicken pad tai. It was like eating rubber. I can tell it was not fresh,and a stored product as the noodles were clear not white, meaning they were old. Did not taste good. 😤

Always come away feeling happy and well fed! Lovely staff who are all friendly, polite and helpful. Will keep coming back!

I've been there a few times over the past few months and they've diversified the quantity of dishes, however as a customer, this just means there and more almost empty food dispensers than what they used to have. Some dishes are really nice, others lack any depth, being designed for immature palettes i.e. tasteless for the masses. The sushi isn't really sushi its if you are lucky either crab sticks in rice rolls, or cucumber, that's it. The customer serves alters between either being too attentive and taking every plate away before you finish it to well, you don't exist... Drink service is soo slow, you'd be quicker going to the shop to get a drink and serve yourself, seriously slower than a snail with a broken leg, and you need to pay for it separately, why??? You do get free water..... The desert section, I saw swarms of kids around it, but as an adult, the cake slices had no taste, the small fruit selection although ok, was limited, so that left you with strawberry, vanilla or chocolate ice-cream and that's it....the chocolate fountain, for kids. If they chilled on the plate removal - clear the table kick you out vibe, brought more flavour to the variety of dishes, and kept them topped up, it would be much better. Is it worth 20 a head, sorry, but no...its basically Chinese food with other Asian varieties thrown in. Salads didn't see any, vegetarian options yes, taste ones not really, soups yes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks yes, free wifi no, parking adjacent yes it's in the shopping centre by the cinema.... For romantic means no, for a variety of Chinese and Asian foods yes, to keep the kids stuffed on deserts yes, for a real quality meal, with full dishes packed with flavour no. At £20 a head, you can do better, or drop your prices, drinks are expensive also........ They have toilets and a baby change area, access easy via a lift and same level, no stairs within. Thanks

Poor selection of foods, not fresh as it looked like it was out there for some time. The only good item worth even tasting was Malabar curry. I tasted most and didn’t finish any of the dishes. They used to have a street food corner and live noodle bar which no longer exists so definitely not worth the money any longer. The syrup of gulab jamun looked vile.

love the place food and the service spent most my birthdays and special day's here lovely place and kind respectful staff beautiful chocolate fountain and great drink's can't say i hate this place at all love everything about it and been a couple of time's but great food and like zero wait time all together great experience.✅

Absolutely awful food! Dried food, lukewarm and tasteless. Avoid it and don’t bother! Customer service is also poor with wait staff being very rude. Not worth the money you pay at all!

Do not order from this restaurant twice I have ordered from them both times items are missing on delivery! Food was very tasty and a fairly good selection, especially compared to other Indian buffets and decently priced. Couple downsides is they took a bit of time to replace some of the empty dishes and to serve our drinks, although we did get cocktails.

Amazing variety of food. It's all fresh. It's all well flavoured and tastes amazing. I've a large family and going out is expensive and becoming difficult to afford under the current financial climate... Mimosa has been amazing and excellent value for money. We will be back and we highly recommend to others in our situation Mum and Dad and 4 hungry kids. All the staff and attentive and the service is excellent. Drinks are also reasonably priced and nice. Fed up with going to all you can eat buffets and having cold food or food that's been sitting for ages. This place is nothing like that!!! I travel from Windsor to come here and it's so worth it. Food it's always fresh and super hot. The only buffet I have found that offers great food and service. Would give it 10 stars if I could

Really surprised that I read reviews saying this wasn’t good value. I thought it was great value. There are at least forty different dishes to choose from, I liked some more than others but it was nice to have so much variety. Overall, pretty decent food and I left absolutely stuffed.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, they offer a wide variety of asian cuisine dishes. I rate the food 3 stars because prawns were not peeled and the intestinal tract hasn't been removed making them imposible to eat. Overall, a good restaurant.

I waddled in ready for battle, but little did I know, the real war would be between me and the oyster mushrooms. These bad boys were sautéed to perfection—so good that I seriously considered smuggling some out in my pockets. I then dove into their “Delicious Cat Soup,” and wow—this dish hit every savory note you could dream of. Rich, hearty, and full of umami flavor, it was an unforgettable experience from the first slurp to the last. The Korean-style puppy? That dish had the perfect blend of crispy and tender, with a kick of spice that left me licking my chops. Absolutely phenomenal. Oh, and you must try the litre of salad. Yes, litre. Mimosa doesn’t mess around with portions—this thing is huge, fresh, and packed with crunch that’ll have you thinking you’re on some health kick, right before you dive back into the heavier stuff. Now, I don’t know if it was the excitement, the feast, or just my own poor judgment, but I gotta admit—I soiled my pants halfway through the meal. No regrets though, because the infamous Cream of Sum Yung Guy was worth every moment of discomfort. Rich, velvety, and oh-so-satisfying, it’s like getting a warm hug from a mysterious stranger who somehow knows exactly what you need. I came in expecting to leave with a full belly, but I left with a full heart (and a change of pants). Come for the food, stay for the food coma. Mimosa is a culinary journey you don’t want to miss. Just make sure you wear stretchy pants and adult nappies. You’ve been warned.

Really great food, service along side of self service is excellent, price is good. No nonsense tipping or waiting for either food or cheque. Just pay up front and have fun choosing from an array of delicious things!

Thai red chicken was fabulous. Service is discreet and exceptional.

We came on a weekday, early when the restaurant opened so it was quiet. The food was good, drinks too. Large range of food, nice variety that kids can enjoy too with basics such as chicken nuggets and chips. 3 rice options- plain, pulao, egg fried rice. Lot of curry options, there’s naan to dab up the sauce- plain and peshwari (coconut) which I really like the sweetness of. We had the prawn toast which was crunchy. The soups were good too nice and hot- in the Tom yum soup the toppings sink to the bottom so you’ve got to stir it to get them up. Staff were polite and welcoming, plates got taken quickly. I recommend the salt and pepper chicken, chicken corn soup with chilli oil, the thigh red (has soft chicken). For the drink I recommend: strawberry daiquiri, Long Island iced tea and Pina colada (cocktails). Berry fixer and kiss me (mocktails) If you need a kick they have sweet chilli sauce as well as chilli oil which I found really helpful. Overall it was a good experience that I recommend. There are a few vegetarian options.

Portion sizes were good, but the food itself wasn't great and tasted similar to something from a jar / ready meal in my opinion. Others say it's great so each to their own, but unfortunately time it wasn't for me.

If you’re vegetarian or vegan don’t eat here. Very limited selection, a mere £1.99 taken off the very high bill. Be aware that, according to the owner, eggs are not vegetarian. Clearly there is no understanding of the difference between “vegetarian” and “vegan”. I should have read the other 1 star reviews before eating here, no wonder it was virtually empty.

Food is nice and such a big variety of Asian foods but not so happy they are charging for kids as well 10£, my daughter had just chips and ice-cream but of course I had to pay 10£ for her food. 19.99£ for adults.

Attended here with friends for their daughter's 18th. Quick to be seated and to order your drinks from the bar. The food itself had good choices and were plentiful, I am vegetarian and there was enough choice for me although it would have been nice for a veggie momo. Quality of food was ok, obviously they are catering for a quick turnaround, onion bhajis were a little over and my wife said the same about the prawn toast. I enjoyed a few veggie Currys with the tarka and chana Dahl's both being very nice.

We organised our Daughter's marriage party at Mimosa which was attended by 150+ friends and family members. We were provided exclusive access to the restaurant, and put up our decorations the night before the party. The food was fantastic and very well served. Every arrangement was superb and well apprecated by every party member. A big thank you to Mimosa team, especially Mr. Vishnu - Manager, for setting up and managing the event. Highly recommended.

Food had no taste or flavour, it was dried out and cold. Even my pet’s would’ve turned there noses up at it. I wouldn’t recommend it even my worst enemy.

What It says on the tin. Multi Asian all you can eat. Salt and Pepper wings are a must. I'm not sure I'm the right candidate for all you can eat 3 plates of mains and a plate of dessert, and I was beaten. Good place to go if you can't decide what to eat something for everyone. Staff are very friendly. Beers not bad either

For £20 (excl. drinks) all-you-can-eat I've definitely been to better at a similar price but overall it's quite good. I've been a few times... I'd always suggest to go when it's super busy and thus the food is replaced faster. If you're there on a quiet day, not so good. They've stepped up their dessert game of late with more options, but unfortunately the churros are terrible.

Food was horrible. Tasted of washing up liquid. The quality of everything was terrible satay chicken had hair all over it and the prawns weren’t cleaned properly. Won’t ever come back. Place needs new chefs or needs to be shut down. If you go here you clearly don’t respect your insides. Defo needs a hygiene check.

Delicious! Delicious! I had 'a bit of' almost everything, and everything was cooked to perfection. It was one of the best buffets i have ever visited, and my husband agreed... then to top it off, there was a chocolate fountain and churos! (Heaven). The staff were very friendly, quick to clear tables and attentive.

Overall, it was a decent experience. Some of the food was dry and overcooked slightly. But there are plenty of other options available. Service was okay also, the staff we're fairly polite. Price wise, it cost £19.85.

My wife and I took our three boys there we have been going there for around 7 years my 6 year old son has autism non verbal he likes to take his t-shirt off when eating the manager came to me to tell me to put it back on him I told him he will scream he then said to me can yo just finish your food and make it a quick one we were very good customers there I won't be using there anymore as it broke my wife heart she was crying we just want our son to be accepted

Out of all the Buffets I have been to this is the poorest for selection, quality and service.

I feel the choice is the same old same old. Needs a re-vamp on the food. Wouldn't hurt to add a little something extra to the choices. No steak or stir-fry. On the day I visited, the duck was dry and tasteless. I did mention this, but nothing changed

Group of friends went on Saturday to celebrate one of our party’s birthday. We all paid upon entering the venue & were politely shown to our large table right by the all you can eat buffet. We ordered a selection of cocktails & other drinks whilst waiting for the rest of our gathering to arrive. There was a nice range of food options including some lovely spicey foods. The restaurant was nice & busy & we all left merry & stuffed.

No music playing. Very small choice of food. Had to ask for pancakes to be refilled for the duck- they're literally sitting in packets underneath the counter. Sauces clearly diluted. Having visited another of these all you can eat places in Bracknell, I was disappointed, to say the least. Way over priced.

The “restaurant” is cold inside & everyone is sitting with their jackets on. The place is very run down and not appealing. The staff require a little more training. Food options aren’t great in comparison to other places charging the same or less, £19.95 is very overcharged! Been eating in Wetherspoons all week and their food is definitely better. The atmosphere is even better. Says everything.

Very upset, complained to restaurant they said to get refund from you since I made order here, I didn't hear the bell and the driver didn't even call my mobile how I asked, then when I called they said driver left long time so I checked door food on the cold ground like for a dog I didn't ask for this it was cold and the paperback went from the wet ground... please refund full amount thank you.

My visit was a little bit of disappointment. See I am not fan of spicy food . I know you can find chinese which is not as spicy and even some Indian. Perhaps mild at least . But in Mimosa everything was really hot and any dish I picked up I was burning ! I did not enjoy the food unfortunately .Especially chinese and Japanese noodles too hot!!!! I love noodles but could not eat them ! Not for me . Great selection though , just too crazy with chilli for non chilli eaters!!

Not Great im afraid. Staff I think need a bit of training as they didn't seem to attentive. Food wasnt that great, not the best of selections and wasn't as hot as I hoped. Very pricey for what you get and overall I was disappointed with my visit. Food really needs to improve here and the level of service from staff too.

We haven't visited for a few years but decided to come along today with our kids. Food choices were excellent and everyone enjoyed a really good meal, even my youngest who struggles with food. Good atmosphere and dirty plates were cleared quickly. The prawns took a while to be replenished but my goodness they were worth the wait. If I was to think of a negative I would say the cakes are a little more stale than they used to be. We will be back!

I wonder why they have less than 4 stars. Yesterday was my third visit after the pandemic. I do visit up market restaurants usually and review the really good ones when it's worth the money. Despite not being in the same league, there is absolutely nothing less to what Mimosa offers. Each and every dish I tried, be it Sushi, Momos, Korean BBQ, Singapore noodles, Chinese noodles & fried rice, Sweet and sour chicken, spare ribs, Lamb rogan josh, Tikka masala and finally Gulab Jaamoon were all 5 stars in taste. Yes it's an all you can eat buffet but maintaining the same standard across so many South Asian cuisines deserves a greater rating and popularity. The ambience is very nice and the service is great. All this for almost half the price for the family meal because children pay less. Keep it up.

Really nice restaurant with very reasonable prices. My kids loved the sweet corner and chocolate fountain. The food was very well presented and my favourite was the veg spring rolls despite most dishes not for our taste buds. The korean bbq chicken wing was amazing though. All in all a lovely experience. Went for a large work event- we were sat to the side so we didn’t interupt anyone else which I thought was great. It was nice we could join as and when after shifts as we payed on arrival. Large variety of food although, would have like a bit clearer signs on vegetarian (great signs for vegan though and allergens made clear so I went off them!) we stayed until close and the staff were all lovely! Will definitely return!

We had our Matrons retirement meal at Mimosa. Before the event, the manager was so helpful and kind. We were able to set up and decorate, they catered for 30 people and we were set off to the side. We liked that you could pay as you arrived, order a drink, then have a seat. We stayed until the end, the staff were kind, helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food was good and there was a good variety. We'll be using them again for work events. Thank you so much.

Not what we expected from the photos, main food was Chinese and Indian. NO Teppanyaki and sushi non existent. Had to pay for drinks separately, Overall very poor.

Only some food was ok but most of the food was tasteless. If you are food lovers I recommend don’t go there, you can try but you don’t get authentic taste of food.

Table service except for clearing your plates is now a thing of the past, and to order drinks you now have to go upto the bar ! Finally the restaurant itself is more like a canteen than a relaxing enjoyable atmospheric place to socialise! Not sure I'll back in a hurry.

Mimosa is definitely one of the best buffet restaurants that I’ve been in the UK. It is not massive but it is big enough and the quality of the food is really good. Staffs are really nice. It has got a very good options for vegetarians as well. It is definitely a must go. Just make sure you have an empty stomach.
