Milo's Café in Harborough

I purchased the last of the carrot cake, however, when packed into a box to take away, they also added the chunky pieces of the leftovers of previous servings into the box, consequently, I ended up with more pieces of dry hard sponge than the actual iced cake! Needless to say the majority went straight into the bin when I got back. Disappointing.

I returned today with 2 extra family members following a good coffee & cake a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, it was terrible. We got a seat and tried to get the attention of one of the waitresses, after asking a few we finally got one girl who answered our enquiry about scone types but before we could ask what the soup of the day was she'd turned away. We ended up leaving without anything and heading to another cafe for something. Whilst it was busy and waiting wasn't an issue, we felt totally invisible.

We came back to Market Harborough just to visit here again, well almost the only reason! Lovely relaxed atmosphere and delicious, no, scrumptious food.

I came here to grab some lunch while in Market Harborough. The food was good, I'd say it was pricey for what it was. The atmosphere wasn't fantastic but that is not the fault of the staff. I sat on the only free table which unfortunately was for 4 and spent my whole meal being stared at by a group who arrived after me, sitting at a smaller table.

Used to be great but gone downhill. Run by kids poor service food lacking

So welcoming especially to our son’s dog who we were dog sitting for…… they even made scrambled egg for the dog for us! 😜

Had an amazing visit to Milo’s last Friday. It was SO busy ! I expected to wait ages but the team worked seamlessly and filled orders so well. There was even an incident outside while this was going on and the team just pulled together and provided a wonderful service. Huge well done to the team and I hope the lady that fell is ok.

Nicely tucked away, the cafe has good menu choices. Not the quickest to serve but if it's a nice day you can enjoy the sunshine at one of the outside tables.

Such a lovely little place tucked away off the main street. We sat outside for a delicious Sunday breakfast - me and my son had pancakes, other half had a full English and our daughter had beans on toast. Lovely coffee too. Would visit again if we pass that way!

We weren't impressed. My wife had the club sandwich which came out on a burnt roll. We should have sent it back but just did not have the energy. It should never have been served. It was also very bland and lacked seasoning.

A nice little café with great food. If you prefer sitting outside watching the world go by (as I do) then this is much more of a cosy snug, with a hidden (heated) courtyard. In the Summer days, they have tables out in the road area but that feels a little exposed - for me anyway.

Couldn’t eat there today as they had stopped serving food on a Saturday before 3pm Such a shame we usually love this place food is good and staff brilliant But no food at that time when you close at 5.30pm!!! Anyway we went to millers instead and had a great sandwich and coffee

Travelled over 20 miles to visit and try it out only to find they would not serve a family of 5 for coffee rolls and food .which was all on display in front of us! and proceded to remove the food and store away! Staff alittle rude so we all left with empty bellies .

Here, lunch time special, well, it all looks good. Not you greasy spoon, but has plenty of customers with Northface tha have never been up a hill let alone in the rain.

Excellent little gem of a cafe. Delicious breakfast. We had Eggs Benedict and smashed avocado on sourdough toast. One of the best breakfasts out in a long time. Finished off our visit from 2 hours away really well and we are now set for the drive back.

Lovely food and drinks, all fresh. My son rates the gluten free chocolate brownie the best in the UK (and he's tried many!) but always says Milo's comes out top. I really appreciate the loose leaf tea in a pot.

I stopped by during a particularly busy time, yet the staff went out of their way to meticulously prepare a dairy-free hot chocolate for my daughter. Their attention to detail and the warm smiles we received made our day. It's the little acts of kindness and excellent service like this that truly make a difference. Highly appreciative and recommend to all!

We had the breakfast which was really nice however they don't accept cash!!! Disgraceful in my humble opinion and I won't be returning based on this

Such a cute little hidden cafe in town. Very delicious and filling breakfasts. On a sunny day sitting outside in this cafe is a perfect start of a morning.

Beware! this cafe does not accept cash which is ludicrous. I will also boycott places that are cashless. Staff were pleasant.

Passed by on Sunday morning and decided to have a quick bite. Nicely located but food was average and the seats uncomfortable.

They have a great selection of coffee and tea, but the best part is their selection of pastries.

Pancakes were nice enough, bacon wasn't very good. Very fatty. Cappuccino again, nice enough but didn't taste particularly strong. Won't be returning as not accepting cash. When queried, no reason given, let alone a justified one. Boycott all cashless businesses.

Nice atmosphere. Tasty strong coffee, wonderful meringue with fruit. Tasty salad with fresh vegetables, although very poorly seasoned (chicken could be warm)

We visited Milo’s for the first time yesterday. It was very busy, but we were greeted by the loveliest waitress (brown hair, glasses - so sorry didn’t catch her name!) who offered to sit us upstairs. She was so attentive with everyone, a real superstar employee and a credit to the lovely cafe. Food was amazing, super cosy decor, I’m really looking forward to visiting again soon! Thanks again to the wonderful waitress, I hope she gets all the credit she deserves! <3 x

My "to go to place" if I fancy a yummy coffee and cake break. The cafe : Lovely little cafe hidden between buildings ( love places like that, we actually walked past it 2 times before finding it lol!). Outside and inside seating,friendly staff and most importantly dog friendly ( you can actually sit inside with your doggies). The Food: we had breakfast there (cappuccinos, juice and brownies) and they were super. Looking forward to have lunch as the food looks mouth-watering Make sure you try their salted caramel blond brownie by the way ...it was OMG ! I actually can't stop.thinking about it and can't wait for Saturday to go there again ! Milo s cafe is now My new favourite cafe!

Very nice cosy cafe tucked away in a small passageway, with indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed their coffee with scones, cream and jam. Very pleasant, recommend.

Definitely worth seeking out this lovely dog friendly cafe. Staff are super welcoming and friendly - when we popped in, they looked too busy to accommodate us and our dog so we left but a lovely lady came out and invited us in upstairs - there's heaps of seating! Coffee was great and baked goods were delicious - the Biscoff Rocky Road and Cheese scone both hit the spot. Our little dog was also made very welcome. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Had a ploughman's lunch today. Wow what a selection of delicious food - ham, salmon quiche, pork pie, cheese plus chutney, coleslaw and salad.

Love this place, but the opening hours above (on Google) are wrong, they don't open at 0830

I love my bacon sandwich here. The bacon is thick and crispy, just how I like it. Enjoyed the bread and sausage also

We came here before hitting the shops. It's easy to miss as you have to wonder down a alley way. Inside they have an upstairs and lower ground seating area. The menu consists of breakfast items until 12 then sandwiches and burgers etc afterwards. We arrived bang on 11.40 so opted for the eggs Royal each aka smoked salmon, muffin, spinach and poached eggs smothered in hollandaise sauce. To drink I really wanted a shake but usually struggle to eat all my food so had a mocha. The drinks were gorgeous with actual flecks of chocolate in mine. The food... everything was perfect, amazing portion, fresh ingredients and honestly the best variant of this dish I've ever tasted. Service was really attentive and my only "negative, " is the place I chose to sit..i.e where lots of traffic people walking backwards and forwards. The decor was comfy and they even served a dog some sausages! Highly recommended.

What a pleasant surprise. Prevented from having breakfast at Premier Inn through technical issues, set off into Market Harborough in search of food. Nice people ready to go "off menu" for full breakfast if we wanted. However, Eggs Benedict on the actual menu can always bring a smile to my face! Good coffee too. Pleasant courtyard location on main street with 2 hours parking end on to kerb.

Amazing service, freshest smoothies and milk shakes ever. A waitress overheard that my child didn't like the bits (seeds) in the smoothie and brought over an apple juice without charge, which my girl loved (and me too haha). Food was amazing, and the service was even better. Had to get out before I brought more cakes!! Thank you

My wife and I decided to give this place a try earlier this week, very very overpriced £24 for a ploughman's salad, £8 for a slice of quiche, really poor unfriendly slow service, cold inside, dirty tables, delivery left on the floor entrance and after a long wait I had to remind staff we had ordered food.....from the look on their face it was obvious they had forgot to bring it to our table..... Never go again, terrible experience!! And after reading the replies from the owner when other people have left bad reviews, it's clear the owner has no people skills, they don't care about their customers, nor do they want to give the all important customer a better experience!

Their service is slow, plus when they make food up they don't use gloves and I don't see the staff wash hands in-between using different food/serving people. The food is really overpriced for what it is.

A great little spot that could be extra special. Staff on the day we're very young and seemed to have no direction, this showed in the service recieved. Did the best with the lack of direction they had.

Had eggs and salmon and eggs and ham today both very good, sauce was lush too. Not too strong or runny. Couldn't ask for better food. Drinks served in a timely Manor by a friendly tall young man with blond hair. Service was good, food great too. Thanks all!
