Millstack Cafe in Bradford

Excellent cafe. So good we went for brunch and then back in the afternoon for coffee and cake. The full English breakfast was the best we've ever had (and we've had a lot!). Everything was cooked fresh and of high quality. The sausage were exceptional and their home made hash brown so much better than the mass produced ones. The cakes in the afternoon were just as impressive. Again freshly made, great assortment to choose from and the three different ones we tried were all lovely. Will definitely go back again if we're in the area.

Went for a cake and coffee to take away with the intention of saving cake for after work. Had a taste. Could not stop. Ate it all for breakfast. Lovely staff, every one I've met. Very welcoming atmosphere.

After a cold walk, Millstack cafe was exactly what we needed to warm us up. Arriving quite late on Sunday afternoon we were greeted by very friendly staff who welcomed us and our dog. Even though we arrived right on last orders for hot food, our four orders were no problem and the service was excellent therein. The menu is fantastic. Many different offerings catering for all needs and although we didn't manage anything sweet, the selection of homemade cakes looked great. Our food was delicious. I had the hot beef sandwich and it was superb. A more than generous helping of roast beef and the accompanying "Big Boy" wedges were enough to make me determined to visit again (and soon). The rest of my party sampled the chicken burger, ham hock with bubble and squeak and the fish goujons. The feedback for these dishes was equally glowing. We were all extremely impressed with this gem of a cafe and would not hesitate to recommend it. The prices were also excellent, adding great value to the list of positives. Being dog friendly was the icing on the cake. If you are in the area, make sure you pop in.

Found this delightful place after a visit to Bronte Falls. Was a rather chilly afternoon and we were in need of a hot beverage. Only intended to have coffee and cake, at 3.45pm on a Sunday didn't expect to get more than that anyway. However, we were offered food menus and so perused them. We were all very pleasantly surprised at the fantastic choice on offer. So impressed with the menu we all ordered food. We were not disappointed, it was excellent, we all had something different and were all equally happy with our choices. There was a lovely welcoming, warm atmosphere and dogs are allowed too which is a huge bonus. It was a really enjoyable experience, I think my brother and his fiancee may be returning for breakfast, sadly we had to come home but I can highly recommend this brilliant establishment.

We used our voucher today which was a Christmas prezzie and we would definitely go back. Great tasty food and service with a smile. A lovely place to visit. We would recommend people try as we don't think you will be disappointed.

Fabulous as always. Thanks to Rachel who is a fantastic waitress, food is perfect as is the atmosphere. We will return in the New Year.

Had the fantastic Mill Stack breakfast and a very fine Flat White. Very nice atmosphere and service. Definitely highly recommended.

The staff were very welcoming of our two daughters and our fat black labrador. The staff were very friendly and efficient, although our food was slightly delayed due to a big party arriving before us, however it was well worth the wait. I'd normally regard a cheese burger and chips as fairly immemorable, however these were the most delicious I've ever tasted. We'll definitely be back, but would recommend booking beforehand. It wasn't overly expensive either.

Excellent late lunch today, Sunday, after the disappointment of being unable to get a table Saturday afternoon - we just rang too late to book. I chose the special, chicken and veg stew with crusty bread, and my husband had the burger. I’ve had lots off their menu and it’s all lovely, tasty and fresh. Great that it sells a few beers and wines. Lovely lunch followed by great coffee and outstanding cakes. Cake choices today - we shared - blueberry cheesecake and biscoff and goji berry tiffin - both delicious. Service is friendly. This place is well worth a visit.

Lovely dog friendly little cafe.

Nous avons fait une halte dans ce café pour le déjeuner avant d'aller visiter la maison des Brontë. Le lieu est très convivial, il y règne une ambiance très chaleureuse. Nous avons mangé une soupe avec des légumes coupés en petits morceaux et du poulet, le tout servi avec du bon pain fait maison. C'était simple mais très bon et revigorant. Les pâtisseries que nous pris en dessert étaient bonnes également. Et notre serveuse était très agréable ce qui a contribué à ce qu'on passe un bon moment.

We’ve been to the MillStack loads of times and cannot recommend it enough , great food, great coffee and cakes and the staff are really friendly and helpful .. the hummingbird cake is my favourite, it’s mega !

Awesome find. Nestled between Haworth and Oakworth. The days are fabulous Sally and Lucy have created an absolute gem. The veggie breakfast was fabulous. The chefs are ace.

What an absolute gem of a find. Fabulous staff Sally and Lucy have created a gem. Wonderful breakfasts, one meat meek one veggie, 2 days running whilst our kitchen is being replaced. The food is fabulous I would so highly recommend. We shall return again and again.

Millstack has become our new favourite stop off after a dog walk on the moors. Highly recommend the all day pancakes! The dog also approves of the sausages and pupachino! The staff are so lovely and the food is incredible!

Really friendly service and very good food.

We were really looking forward to our lunch after reading the menu. We ordered the ham with bubble and squeak with poached egg. It sounded great on paper but the reality was a letdown. The bubble and squeak just tasted like undercooked potato and the poached egg was overcooked. I should have sent it back but we were so hungry we couldn't be bothered.

Delicious food, lovely little cafe with friendly service. The hot chocolate is really good and the cakes look amazing - will be back to try some soon.

Met with some friends for brunch . My friend phoned a few days before and booked a table and asked if we could have the table for 2 hours due to not seeing each other often and having a catch up whilst we were there . The waiter said that was fine , however on the day due to it being busy after 40 minutes we were asked if we had finished , we all still had drinks and my friend stated that when she booked she asked for 2 hours but nevertheless we were made to feel like we had to finish our food and drinks quickly , whilst we were finishing off the waiter approached again and said they have people waiting and asked if we have nearly finished and asked us to continue to finish off outside ( it wasn’t the warmest day) . The waiter continued to hang around behind the table with the card machine. We have been coming to the Mill stack since it opened and never had this problem , however this poor customer service has definitely put us as regular customers off coming . Also the food has also always been lovely , but we had noticed that some of the food isn't homemade like it was before for example the pancakes . Disappointing as we were good customers and embarrassing for the waiter in front of other customers who could see this as we were quiet customers enjoying our food and catch up and showed poor customer service when it was busy as they wanted a quick turn around of customers .

This place can show the way, on what can be done in the restaurant business. Great fresh food, well cooked. Good atmosphere, great staff. Great value for money.

Really lovely cafe , friendly staff and tasty food! We ended up going twice whilst staying at our campsite because I wanted to try a couple things on the menu!! Lovely coffee too and they have oat milk which is my fave. Definitely worth a try 😋

Had a lovely breakfast today. The cafe is brilliant with a fantastic atmosphere and friendly service.

Visited with friends for lunch, ordered a hot beef sandwich with caramelised onions, which came with 5 large chips and salad. The onion which should have been caramelised and soft came in a large round and laid on top of the beef. The beef was extremely dry and overcooked, I couldn’t eat it. When the lady came to clear the table I told her politely that it wasn’t happy as I’d only had a few chips and bread and that the beef was inedible, however she just listened and cleared the plates. I’ve heard good reviews from locals about this cafe but on my visit it was very disappointing, even more so when the lady didn’t acknowledge my complaint and didn’t even offer a small discount…not good customer relations

Had wonderful tasty breakfast here on two mornings whilst staying at the Stonemasons House next door. Friendly, efficient service in a quirky and interesting cafe. Would love to return.

We stayed in the Stone Mason's House, next door to the cafe, for two nights and breakfasted in the cafe both days. Food was superb and the staff were excellent- friendly and very efficient. The decor in the cafe is very original and unique - great atmosphere!

Came here for a leaving meal. It was my first time. I got to admit the good was delicious. I had the chicken. Service was fab and good was served very quickly. Thank you. Will definitely be back again.

Went for breakfast with my daughter, we are both vegan. There were only a couple of choices for vegans on the menu, so that was a little disappointing. We only wanted a light breakfast, maybe crushed avocado on toast but as this was not available we both had the full vegan breakfast which was just a modified vegetarian breakfast. However I felt that to exchange a fried egg & grilled halloumi for a small pile of wilted spinach was not really a fair swap, with no reduction in price. Also we had to order a side of baked beans separately as this was not included in the breakfast, (more money). The toast was dry, I can only assume they did not have any vegan margarine/butter, which is readily available in all supermarkets. The staff were friendly & helpful but service was rather slow, we were halfway through our breakfast before the beans arrived. The place had a nice vibe but I wouldn't go for a meal again. I am sure it will be fine for meat eaters, however there is a long way to go if they want to cater for vegans. So in short we had 2 coffees, 2 teas & 2 breakfasts which were disappointing & it cost just short of £33, so rather expensive for something we didn't really enjoy.

The cafe is lovely, quirky decor, excellent food and very friendly service. Visited while on holiday. We didn’t book and were lucky to get a seat, would book next time as busy for a weekend breakfast.

A staff member named Lucy, was incredibly accommodating and helpful when helping to make a reservation. I frequent here, and service is lovely all the time. The food is of excellent quality, and I will happily tip and visit again.

What a fantastic find this gem of a cafe is. Having booked a weekend stay in Haworth, we spotted this cafe on the way to where we were staying & managed to get a table for two for some lunch. The staff, service & food...

Excellent Service from the staff, they made us feel very welcome and our dogs. The full breakfast was absolutely delicious ....and the coffee 😘👌 Can not wait to return again. Thankyou 🤗

A lovely small café. The burger I had was beautifully cooked and, unlike what appears to be the trend at the moment, not too big allowing space for a gorgeous coffee and walnut cake.

Lovely little place for a coffee and bite to eat. Very busy but still a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely call in again when I'm in the area.

Lovely food and the staff were very efficient. My little dog enjoyed herself too.

The place looks nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. But I didn't like the food much. Coffee didn't taste like a proper coffee-shop coffee, more like the 'latte' my dad used to attempt! Had the beef sandwich, not nice beef (reminded me of school dinners in 1970s). The big potato wedges were cooked nicely, but not nice-tasting potatoes. Amidst all the glowing references on here, thought at least one should offer a different opinion! It was also so noisy my wife and I couldn't hear each other speak. Don't think I'll go back (which is probably no problem, the place was packed).

Really enjoyed my lunch at the Mill Stack! Everyone is friendly and efficient, didn't wait long for the meal which was delicious! I had the veggie bhagee burger which I have to say was the best burger I've ever had! The accompaniments were also delicious. Would definitely recommend. Happy customer.

Superb service, food and atmosphere

We visited for lunch on a Saturday. What a lovely, thoughtfully designed space with excellent service. We ordered the Snitz and Tempura Fish. Both dishes were generous in size, perfectly cooked, and served with tasty fries. We were too full for dessert, but couldn’t resist...

First time visit and it certainly won't be our last - nice ambiance, good food and friendly staff ☺️

Had the poached eggs salmon royal... A☆ star quality and freshness. Had a mouth watering selection of cakes and treats, I tried the chocolate Brownie and wasn't disappointed!! I also had a fleshly made smoothie which was also really nice. Would highly recommend.

Second visit here and both times have been great. Both times I've had trouble deciding what to order as everything sounds so tasty. Make sure you save room for cake, especially the hummingbird cake! The staff are all lovely and really friendly, definitely give it a try!
