Millie's American Diner in Northumberland

I visited Millie's for breakfast yesterday with my daughter and 2 children but left disappointed. The theme of the place is good and the staff are welcoming but the quality of the food was poor. I had the full English and asked to substitute black pudding and beans for tomatoes but was told I couldn't do that, I would have to create a "make your own breakfast" instead. The sausages were low quality but the mushrooms were tasty. The girls had the pancakes which were good but the bowl of berries were just heated frozen ones. The coffee (vanilla latte) was awful. Wouldn't return I'm afraid 😳

I m a carer and I took my customer here for lunch and we were made welcome as soon as we arrived and the service was very good and the staff were very friendly. A special mention to a few of the staff that made my customer so happy we're Codey, Molly and Trish. The whole staff are excellent and are very good at what they do The food we had was excellent and the service was excellent and we have no issues to recommend this place to everyone to come and enjoy the food, service and atmosphere

We had a great experience dining here. The place has a fun retro vibe with a classic diner theme, which really adds to the charm. It’s a relaxed and comfortable spot, and the staff were so friendly and lovely to interact with. We ordered the Full American Breakfast and Drew’s Naughty Dog with Chili. Both were hearty, well-portioned, and definitely worth the price. The food was tasty, satisfying, and great value for money. If you’re looking for a proper diner-style experience, this is the place to be. Don’t come expecting anything fancy, but if you want good food at a great price in a classic diner setting, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I met the owner Trish today who raised some much needed and gratefully received funds for Veterans at Ease. Whilst there I had a coffee and a cheeky round of scrambled eggs on toast and it was all delicious 😋 I highly recommend Miles, they are wonderful people doing wonderful things for their local communities and serving amazing food. Top job.

The American breakfast looked quite good. Unfortunately the waffles and pancakes were not so good, they were not homemade, and the waffles were dry and crumbly. The first person who served us was not super friendly, I felt like she didn't want us to be there, but there were other friendly members of staff who served us later on.

I’ve been meaning to visit Millie’s American Diner for ages and I popped along on Sunday morning for a Sunday breakfast. The food and service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it and I will be back. There’s always something on the specials board and the menu is very varied and something for everyone. 100 % recommend 👍🏻

Popped in for a quick breakfast, I was more than happy with the quality & service. Plenty of parking and seating available, I shall be frequenting it again in the near future. Recommended 10/10

Over an hour for delivery of cold bland food. The £7 Mac&cheese is clearly a cheap tin you get for a pound, won't be returning!

Ordered via Blyth Eats, got the ultimate American breakfast which was meant to come with maple bacon, but came with normal back bacon, it was meant to come with Texan toast but came with two slices of anaemic looking normal toast. We also ordered mac and cheese with bacon which cost nearly £8 and it was just tinned mac and cheese with hardly any bacon and what was there was under cooked and really fatty. We won't be ordering again and wouldn't recommend it.

I’ve called into Millie’s on a number of occasions over the past year and all apart from one visit has been for a full English breakfast. I’m always tempted by the super sized portions of the mega ones but for me the full English as it comes is more than enough for anyone with a hearty appetite. The service is usually quick but it can get busy from 9am-11am as the locals know its good value. The lunchtime specials menu is always popular too. The breakfast plate comes fully laden with all the usual ingredients and two slices of hot buttered toast. Well cooked and it hits the spot every time. The staff are vey courteous and friendly and part of the reason to come back. My Saturday morning call in every week now. Overall, highly recommended for good value food served with a smile!

Been dining here since it opened & slowly working through the menu 😜 had the Bolognese on Sunday & it's the best I've ever had 👍 now selling the most amazing home made lemonade absolutely delicious 😋 & the best meatball sub I've ever tasted 😋 getting through the menu " corn beef stew" FANTASTIC 🤩

Not very busy, took around 40 mins for food for some reason, the smoke from the kitchen came into the diner itself and the food was awful. Unfortunately gave me and my friend upset stomachs avoid

Just pulled in with my boys had a milkshake each great customer service have a lot to offer depending on days and times have tried the food yet but will be going back to give it ago I mean its amarican what is there not to love

Great food and drinks. Delicious fresh made milkshakes and coffees with lots of syrup choices. Breakfast served all day and lots of size choices to suit all appetites, American or English cooked breakfasts plus selection of breakfast buns, etc. Waffles on the American breakfasts were homemade and delicious. Atmosphere was lovely, diner is well decorated to the theme and even plays vintage music. Staff are very attentive and accommodating, including getting us maple syrup for our waffles. All on the ground floor and has a disabled toilet as well as a unisex toilet. Expected my bill to come to over £30-35 but came to £27.50, less than I expected (large breakfast, small breakfast, two lattes, one milkshake and can of coke).

Thought we'd give this local Diner a try. Sadly disappointed. The chips with the burger were luke warm & the burgers are really more of beef patties. The cheese Nachos are a big bowl of Nachos with very little cheese on top & do not come with any salsa, sour cream etc that you would usually expect, especially for nearly £5.00 a bowl. We've eaten in American Diners, in America, where water is offered at the table, coffee is topped up free of charge. This one, unfortunately, does not live up to it's namesakes in the USA. We won't visit again, chain pubs offer a better quality of food.

Found this diner through on online search for hambuger restaurants. Set up just like a classic US diner along with US license plates and photos hung throughout. There's a variety of choices on the menu, my favourites were the shakes and the bolognese hot dog.

My burger had NO coleslaw or pickles. I cried

You are made to feel welcome as soon as you pull up in the carpark! This is an extremely friendly place to call for a drink or food. No-one is excluded. If alone, someone will start a conversation with you and many friendships have been formed here. The owners Andy & Jane are always involved in a fundraiser. They hold crafting classes here, the car club meets here, and Trunk and Treat is happening again this year. EVERYONE is welcome to attend any and all events here. I also had a birthday party here abd the spread was AMAZING!!

We decided we wanted something different. We expected a cheap diner style meal, so we got what we ordered. I think this place is more for cheap eats with an experience so the quality of the food will not be high. Although the milkshake hit the spot! The service was good, American themed, bonus was the Jukebox.

A fantastic American breakfast in authentic surroundings😃

First time visiting today and really enjoyed it. Wanted a quick lunch and were seated as soon as we got in there. Place was lovely and clean, well decorated. Lots of booths to sit at for that American experience with a good jukebox too. We had a quarter pounder with fries and the meatloaf, both were great for the price. We also picked up two mahoosive scones when paying on our way out, also lovely. Staff were super helpful and friendly too. Will definitely be back.

This is Nice place with good sized portions of food at decent prices. Did not eat myself just had coffee.

Called here for breakfast on Saturday morning, got here for around 11 and there was plenty of seating. I had the Full American Breakfast; 2x maple bacon, waffle, 2x sausage, fried egg, BBQ beans, mushrooms and 2x slices Texas toast. When my plate arrived I was missing a sausage, but this was provided upon asking the staff. All the food was decent, maple bacon was very nice. The sausage was a disappointing but ok, but the rest was all spot on. The Mrs had a Full English, which was essentially the same without the maple on the bacon and swapping the waffle for black pudding. We shared a massive pot of tea, which we couldn't finish. Price wise it was good value for money and I would happily revisit.

Can't fault the service from lady that assisted on my visit I ordered full UK English breakfast without mushrooms and these instructions where followed. Always nice when you amend form standard menu and it comes to you correctly. Food cooked well I was not a fan of the sausages, however wife did like them so that is just down to individual tastes. Toast was nice thick bread of quality. Overall nice visit felt welcomed by staff place seems clean and well run I shall be back to maybe try usa breakfast option.😁😁

First time visiting, went for a Japanese car meet. Food all made fresh, great options tasty and presented lovely. Recommended if your in the area.

Food was awesome, owner and staff really friendly couldn't do enough to help. Some brilliant events put on and if your really lucky you may even get to. Meet a star from the fast and furious films.

Second time here first time was awesome ,today we had over a hours wait,and the portions were dreadful about 3 spoons of chilli if that on my chilli dog, really disappointed won't be going back,

Food was fine but failure to follow instructions really… Which is a shame I asked for the coleslaw not to be put on the potato I asked for it separate this wasn’t done I also asked for Coke zero and got full fat Coke

Lovely homemade freshly cooked English Breakfast, whilst my Husband had the American one. Tasted delicious, very reasonably priced as well.

Love it! Started by buying a coffee to test it out and then took the wife and she too loves it, the one downside is the outside space but don't let that put you off, the welcome is warm and the food decent and competitive in price.

Got myself a ultimate English breakfast to takeaway ,sat inside till ready staff very pleasant was lovely and clean, when ready came in a pizza shaped box never looked inside till got myself home was total blowing away with the size and quality me and me dog thoroughly enjoy it.
