Hungry Shack Ashington in Northumberland

Not the first time we’ve ordered from here and generally okay. Tonight wasn’t great. Photo is of whole lamb chops, had a funny smell and strong taste, left the others. Also, mix up with the order which was the booking systems fault but for what we’ve had tonight we won’t be back I’m afraid.

dry, tasteless, batter just tasted like greese, cold chips and when we rang to complane to be told food taste nice? Mine went in the bin then to be hung up on!

Always ate here £18 for a mixed kebab then to ring and ask why it’s like this and just get told we’re busy shocking

Chips very dry and cold ...pizza went in the bin didn't get the toppings I paid for ..kebab was ok the salad was disappointing

Ordered x2 chicken burger &chips inshop and x2 chicken bits I only got x1 burger and chips by time I got home totally robbed me we never go back and spread the word the chips were burnt and uneatable the chicken was dry and flavourless the buns were hard and dry worst place in Ashington to eat

Mixed kebab wrap and took forever to arrive and was still 15 mins late, barley warm, and was tiny with 4/5 chunks of meat in. Chips were poor too. Absolutely devastated as had been looking forward to it all day. Go to Toscana instead.

Food was nice but had a bad experience with the driver. He expected us to go to him to pick our food up at the bottom of the lane. Very cheeky to my husband aswell. I will order again but please sort the drivers out

Take away food was fantastic. Best kebab ive had in ages. Salad was fresh and lovely. Meat not greasey. Spot on.

no answer on phone. Took order and nothing turned up on Uber eats

Driver was incredibly rude!! I mean extremely rude. His attitude alone ruined the meal. He kept saying hello??? On the telephone, even though the signal was clear on my end. I ended up screaming and explaining myself about the times. No exaggeration. Finally got though. I left instructions to leave the food at my door as I have poor mobility and takedme a while to get to the door. Me hardies l regardless the really when we had a repeat of hello?? I finally just hung up and struggled downstairs as fast as I could. I was met at the door with a short Turkey man to said in broken English, 'why you no answer phone come downstairs to get food??'. Even with my struggles, I was about two minutes. I was was left physically exhausted, emotionally drained, and unable to enjoy my food

I have been in and was told to wait 10 minutes on the cashier after 10 minutes of waiting I asked again how long until the cashier returns I was told 10 minutes again she’s out on delivery and they cannot accept any orders until the cashier is back in. Another thing is that they don’t accept card only cash payments.

Been here twice now, food is lovely and levels above the competition!

Love the classic fillet burger meal from here haven't tried anytning else even do milkshakes just eat delivery

Kebabs are excellent, definitely going back. Been looking for a kebab shop since we moved up here nearly 5 year's ago, think I just found it!

Ordered two kebabs from here tonight as a walk in. Fast service, friendly and absolutely delicious kebabs! Couldn’t ask for more, thank you!

Used just eat to order @ 19:34. 1hr and 34mins later they cancelled it without explanation. If they were struggling to complete orders because they were busy they should have not taken the order in the first place or cancelled sooner. What a terrible way to treat regular customers that don't mind overpaying every so often. What a shame. 👎

The kebabs are fantastic,You actually get real pieces of lamb charcoaled to perfection,the mixed grill comes with lamb chops and the chicken is fantastic too .

My nephew introduced me to this better. Very tasty food.

Best takeaway I've found in the area. Had a chicken burger meal with hash browns. The burger was massive and tasted better than KFC. Top notch food and plenty of it.

First time ordering from hungry shack. Can't find fault. Ordered chicken kebab and some extras. Quick delivery. Hot and fresh. Absolutley loads I couldn't eat it all. Nice manner when I rang the shop with a query. Delivery guy was smart. Smiley and friendly even fussed over the dog who greeted him outside. Great all round experience

Ordered 2 hrs ago still not here rang them after an hour said leaving now still waiting.2hrs15 mins eventually here stone cold .won't be ordering again

Ordered food at 7.30pm on website it took payment sent receipt to email then NOTHING TURNED up after 1 hr 45 mins like 10 mins ago i rang them for the woman to answer with a bad attitude after i said i had ordered on website .she told me the website is not working and id get my money back tomorrow . so i said we had waited for nearly 2hrs with no indication that we were not getting any food her disgusting attitude and answer was "well you should of rang earlier not our fault it took you 1hr 45 mins to ring . so they have my money , there website can send out receipt SO HOW CAN THY NOT RECIEVE AN ORDER . WHY DOES WEBSITE NOT SEND THEM AN EMAIL TOO . DISGUSTING ATTITUDE after we were considered them and gave them time to deliver DONT USE THE WOMAN HAS A TERRRIBLE ATTITUDE FOR SOMETHING THATS THERE FAULT NOT THE CUSTOMER .

Ordered food at 6.40 pm, still waiting for it at 10.15pm. Don't answer calls. Not even given a courtesy call to explain why.

1st time ordering from Hungry shack ..and it was lovely...got what we ordered and it was hot ..Will be ordering again from them .....

First time ordering pizza and chips with cheese. Arrived super quick, food piping hot, pizza loaded with topping and really tasty.

Joke of a company, hour and a half for food then got something wrong with every meal and missed items. Then wouldn't answer the phone prior to 11pm which is the closing time even though the Ashington brach was answering. When trying Ashington branch was told nothing they could do and try again tomorrow.

Love the chicken tikka kabab from here so nice friendly staff

Late delivery, pizza cold and 2nd order was sent wrong having asked for no salad and no sauces, it came sauces on. When they were phoned to complain , they said what you want us to do and hung up, tried to speak to someone , they just hung up, total disgrace, never use them again

Had this not last week but the week before and it was absolutely FN delicious! The food was hot, Fresh and delicious! I recommend the burgers for sure! This place should definitely have a better rating so please don't be put off or else you will miss out on good scran 🙂

Missed my sauces that I paid for and they couldn't drop them off. Also was told my thigh pieces were breast and they were right as they been in game 35 year I took a picture of the thigh laughable

Had raw chicken from here multiple times never go back again many of my friends and co workers have had food that was either raw or not fully cooked. Imo this place should be shut down and cooking practices should be checked.

Ordered twice now and both times had early delivery! This place is awesome for chicken! Just like KFC but cheaper! Garlic dip from here is amazing! I ordered a kebab last night and got to say it was one of the nicest ones I've had in a while! My son loves the chocolate fudge cake too! Portions are very generous! Thanks guys!

Had enough of these now cant get a order right.... though I give them another go guess what they got order wrong

Food was absolutely amazing! Ready in 20 mins (lunchtime) and the portions were bigger than expected! Was totally lush, will definitely be having fat Fridays there again!!!

Have never had a problem ordering before, but tonight's order was 2 hours and 30 minutes late (arriving at 9.35pm) despite 2 phone calls which stated the order was only 10 minutes away..... and when it arrived there was a massive, long black hair in the middle of the food...... huge disappointment and waste of money. Wont be ordering again!!!

Just had the best deal ever. Could have fed 3 of me ,The Mighty Grill. Was still hot when I got back to Low Fell. Brilliant - Thanks guys

Located up Ashington high Street,this is a clean and well presented southern fried chicken takeaway,cheaper alternative to a K.F.C but I'll hand the edge to K.F.C in the taste department BUT hands down this is a much better value for money alternative and the chicken still tastes good.. Delivery service is available.

Went on a Tuesday evening and they must of give me yesterday’s chicken was dry and not crispy defo wasn’t fresh I gave Most of my food to the dog wish I went to kfc instead!

Tandoori Chicken Kebab is the best around.

Cant rate the food as never had the chance. Ordered a munchy box but had to cancel after waiting nearly 2 hours for delivery. I could have walked to shop ordered and been home with over an hour to spare. If you are hungry don't order from here you need a meal to cover you before delivery!

I've had several meals from them over time, I had a pork ribs box tonight and it was amazing. Portion size is huge and lots of everything. The salad was super fresh and tasty, my one tiny fault to find was not enough garlic sauce haha 😂. Amazi g

Several phone calls and over two hours and still nothing. I’ll be avoiding this lot in the future then. Guess I’ll be contacting the credit card company for a refund then.

Ordered from here tonite got the deluxe box and the chicken was lovely plenty of food to feed family of 6 with food left over kebab meat is lovely too will definitely be back
