First time at miller and carter and all I have to say is it was absolutely beautiful, the food the atmosphere right as we walked through the door, and our server Paulina was so nice and attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes good food and great service.

We came in yesterday (9/4/24) for lunch for my son’s birthday. The food was delicious I had the pork tomahawk which was out of this world. Staff were friendly and Emma our waitress couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you Emma and miller and Carter we will be back.

The food is very good. The steak was on point . The onion loaf on the side was lovely. The salad, lacked a bit of seasoning, just few drops of balsamic finger. I think I bit of extra virgin olive oil could have done the trick. The reduced wine sauce.. was simply flawless. The steak knife, bit too large and not sharp. The service: Not great. I waited for maybe 20 minutes before the waitress noticed my plate was empty and I was waiting for the next course. Then, when I asked for dessert menu, she didn’t bring it. Instead, she brought me cream brûlée straight away. She said sorry thought you ordered this! I Said how??! I didn’t even have the menu. She offered to take it back but I said its fine just keep it, I didn’t want to wait again. ( by the way she attended to the table next to me, they finished maybe 10 minutes after me, she went up removed their plates and served the m their next course, somehow, though I was next to them I was invisible to her🫥. ( it was not fully packed or extremely busy ) Atmosphere is lovely. - 1 star because the floor in toilet was not clean and sticky Also an error was made with bill, but the manager apologized and problem got fixed straight away before I even communicated to them! this is a complement to the staff for their high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Overall, was happy with my experience. happy how the one of the staff handled the mistake with the bill with professionalism. Not happy about the slow service between main and dessert.

Family meal. Ordered the 12oz ribeye, which must have been on a diet before it got to the table. Tasted fine, but it was not what it was supposed to be. They possibly need to check that the scales are working properly. Service was also poor, which was a surprise as service at sister restaurant in the bay has always been good.

Food was amazing and victorias service was 10/10. Would definitely come here again just for the service!

We have dined at Pasture & The Ivy, whilst both beautiful our favourite steak is always Miller & Carter. Amazing service and can never fault the food. However, it was extremely hot in there this visit, too hot!! I did have to ask if I could keep the menu to use as a fan. And the toilets downstairs were a bit untidy with a lot water and toilet paper all over the floor. Didn’t really ruin our experience though as the food is gorgeous.

The food was lovely as always, but on this occasion service was very slow, We were sat at the table for almost 2hrs and nobody asked us if we wanted anymore drinks after our first order when we sat. It took 15 minutes after completing our mains for someone to take our dishes away. We had intended on having dessert but we had been sat far too long at that point. Service was not up to standard.

Had the 3 course lunch menu which was excellent value for money. The steak wasn’t great but the starter and deserts were amazing. Service was quick and venue was nice.

I had doubts after my last visit in an exeter miller and carter was not great so I haven’t been in about 2 years. Took a gamble to visit after I received a gift card. Food was lovely, especially the fillet. Service was fast, not too pestering when eating our meal but fast to react when we wanted to order more wine. Will definitely be coming again.

Well well well I wish I could say our visit was good but I can’t. Because it was incredible majestic perfect I will call it what it is My sons 18th, we travelled a few miles to get to Cardiff but it was well worth it. From the arrival we was all greeted very lovely, it made me also greet some customers -) A table of 12 and all having different meals etc All the starters were perfect Scallops, Olives, Calamari , Halloumi cheese, garlic breads all really lovely. The mains, steaks, burgers, sea bass, again absolutely perfect. Shall I tell you one of the reasons why this went so perfectly ? Our lady who served us, her name Marcia (legend) Made us all feel at ease but also had amazing humour. She knew the menus 100% and was really helpful in helping us pick what we wanted to eat. Even tho Marcia had other people to look after, she still managed to make sure we had what we needed at all times. Big smile with a massive personality (big up Marcia) Obviously the chefs killed it too as all the food was absolutely amazing. The other staff all on point, friendly and efficient Washrooms clean as whistles ( house Keeping team smashing it) To summarise we had a great evening celebrating our sons birthday Food 💥💥💥💥💥 Drinks 💥💥💥💥💥 Service 💥💥💥💥💥 Atmosphere 💥💥💥💥💥 Value for money 💥💥💥💥💥 It’s time to build people and establishments up when they deliver great service. Food was good,didn’t wait long, but expensive for what you get,probably won’t go again.Service was good.

I'm not one for expensive places but my partner insisted as a birthday treat. Thankfully, she didn't tell the waitress. The food was gorgeous though its expected for the prices. The kind of place you'd go now and then as a treat or for special days. T-bone was cooked perfectly and the onion bread was a particular favourite. The lady who served us was very pleasant! She was very helpful, picked a wine out for us and was attentive without being overbearing. Slightly cramped but I expect its always busy, didnt feel like much of a date as much as listening to the couple next to me speaking Welsh about my steak. Felt awkward that I seemed to be the only one not having a photoshoot when my steak arrived aswel. I'd return but it wouldn't be very often, mainly down to the price.

Friendly male host on the door who made sure our requirements of a quiet table were met from online booking. However we were given wrong menus. Server was friendly enough but took 10 minutes to take a drink order. Pepsi was flat. Then eventually after a gas problem it was replaced with bottles coke. Starter was bland. Steak was good. Burger not so great. Cold cardboard tasting chips. Nasty greasy onion loaf. Sticky toffee pudding a must. Was offered a discount as we were clearly disappointed 😞

Tbh was expecting a lot more! The food was just like standard pub grub, if not worse. The service was ok not the best considering how quiet it was. Not a place where I'm certainly in a rush to go again.

Three friends sharing a Birthday lunch. On arrival found a Birthday card for each of us at our table .. We each enjoyed a free glass of fizz Food was cooked to perfection and our waiter was friendly and looked after us well. We declined pudding and as a lovely treat the waiter brought out a small pot of ice cream and a happy birthday message for each of us. Had dinner at Miller and carter for the first time today and was majorly disappointed. Staff took ages to serve us drinks even though it was not busy. The staff were rude and even knelt on the floor to take our order. The food was okay but was disappointed with the calamari being well over cooked and the Mac and cheese only half filling its bowl. All in all very disappointing experience especially with being felt very rushed while there. Will definitely not be rushing back here.

Me and man thoroughly enjoyed our visit every time we have visited the food has always been the same. I really recommend Joe, he was very polite and professional he also was also very friendly and funny.

Incompetent staff unsure how to deal with unexpected situations. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and wanted a steak thought Id order to have It delivered. A £87.69 order! And they are blaming the driver that left before the food was ready and didn't think to call up to arrange anything with the delivery company, until I rang them half hour after my food was supposed to be here. Then they said there is nothing they could do, but they didn't even try To do anything until we started calling. Bad service and incompetence of the staff I could have ordered something else in the meantime if they told me or even proactively tried anything.
