Awful experience. Don’t recommend this restaurant! Rude female waiter turned my family away just because my little brother was wearing Nike jogging bottoms. Waiter stated that they have a none sportswear policy but we saw afew other females eating at the restaurant wearing adidas leggings, casual jeans and trainers. BTW. My parents and I were smartly dressed as it was my parents wedding anniversary and we were going for lunch!!!

We had a fantastic meal here. Sylvia was the perfect host. She was friendly, proffessional and nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely visit here again.

Aside from a previous work luncheon in another M&C this was my/our first visit to an M&C for dinner. It did not disappoint. Overall absolutely fantastic. Positive welcome & superb personalised service all evening by Sylvia. Lets face it service per se in most UK restaurants is poor. Yet M&C allocate servers to certain tables and it worked so well. Sylvia is a huge credit to herself and M&C. Attentive, right balance with communication and eager that we have a great time. Brought out glasses of fizz at just the right agreed toms for example and despite being very herself was always ‘there’ when needed including paying. Quality of food (all important ultimately) was divine. Chateaubriand cooked to perfect and lobster lovely too. Well done to the chefs in a hard working busy kitchen as restaurant was very busy even in early evening. Improvement areas: Decor in need of some investment I’d say. Looking a bit tired in places. Yet appreciate that costs a lot. Poor decision by M&C to charge an extra £1 (the principle) for chunky chips when you are paying out a lot of money for a night out. Come on M&C! Yet that very minor thing aside a wonderful experience - quality food & truly exceptional service. Would highly recommend to others. Well done everyone.

A cosy steak house, with good food and service. We visited one Monday evening for a family dinner; we were away for a few days and was also looking for somewhere with a fast charger to charge the car - which they had! The service was a little slow to start, but it soon sped up. The girls had a cheesy garlic bread each, a pasta & meatballs, burger & fries and a brownie each - this was all well received. The wife and I shared the "Butchers Block sharing experience" which was good. The beef brisket topped bone marrow was the most delicious element and the rump steak was also very tasty. The ribeye was good, but was well done, rather than the medium we'd asked for. The fillet steak was tender, but unsurprisingly a little bland compared to the brisket & marrow or rump - a little disappointing given it's 50 day ageing. This all came with a sauce each (bernaise and peppercorn, both good), two sides (sauteed greens, very good, and thick cut chips - excellent, better than the fries that came with the burger, but a stingy portion) and a dressed wedge of iceberg each (we went for Caesar and garlic-mayo & grana padano - both good). We had a crème brulé and cheesecake for pudding which were great. Everyone had soft drinks which were decent, although £3.65 for a 330ml bottle of coke feels like premium pricing. I also opted for a glass of malbec which was decent enough (if a bit pricey at £12.85 for a large glass), I was a little disappointed that the more interesting red wines weren't available by the glass. The food was good quality and our experience overall was good, at a fair price for what was on offer - £148.60. We would visit again and recommend this place 👍🏻

I’d like to start by saying the service was fine and we hold no grudges against Leon. We came out for my sisters birthday meal and were met with a very embarrassing situation when we were told we couldn’t use my staff discount on a table over 6 people (there was 9 is us). We were under the impression that we would get the staff discount as we’ve had it multiple times before at this specific Miller & Carter location, however that was sadly not the case. The server Leon explained that they could have split the table and given us the discount for 6 of us if we had rang ahead, however his manager decided that wasn’t allowed. Given the fact I personally have worked for miller & Carter for over 4 years, & the fact that we’ve come in for every family birthday with at least 8 people for the past 4 years (which we won’t be doing anymore) you’d think that would be reason enough to evoke goodwill from management to try and sort something out for us, however no such attempts were made. This left our party very bewildered and left me personally in a very embarrassing situation, as it was a treat for my sister, who’s ended up having to chip in for her own birthday meal. We shall not be returning to this location.

Lesley was my server today, she was an excellent host and made my birthday lunch spectacular. She even brought me a happy birthday surprise. Would recommend 100%

Absolutely fantastic food and service from Leon was excellent

Food was tasty for the adults but the children's chicken burger was basic, especially for the money and most restaurants were doing kids meals for free. The service was slow, constantly had to look for the staff, food order was wrong, cups for our tea were dirty , ask wine glasses to be removed but only took 4 of the 6. Wine glasses weren't even polished properly even though they had machines. Also charged £2.5 for a tiny portion of gravy for the children and no one told us of the cost implications. Honestly there is some room for Improvement. We spent £150 for 4 adults and 2 children. One starter and 2 dessert from Fixed menu.

Came in for lunch the other week, food was lovely besides my steak was overcooked. We were sat near the host stand and the servers had no issue being indiscreet about personal issues, particularly speaking about other staff members in a negative way. It was highly unprofessional and rude, i feel bad for the other staff members. We will not be coming back.

Lovely place but food arrived to table warm…disappointing. We were a party of 10+ and ordered a variety of food choices. Service was wonderful the lady couldn’t have been more polite, attentive and informative about the menu.

We don't go out much but decided visited on my husband's birthday. It took us AGES to decide what to have and I've got a very small appetite so wanted a mixture of items from all over the menu ... I'm awkward to say the least but Leon was so patient with us, nothing was too much trouble and what I ordered came as I ordered (being super-awkward) I was delighted and will return and hopefully get Leon to serve us. (I bet he hopes he don't get us, lol) Thank you for your patience! Really appreciate it and we enjoyed our meal.

Steak was excellent. Lettuce thing is difficult to eat out of a small bowl, either cut it up or make the bowl bigger. Waiter wasn't very attentive, we had to search him out when we wanted anything, he also didn't seem happy to be there!

Birthday meal , slightly disappointed with the seating arrangements, 80% of tables not being used but all diners rammed in together ! As much as I understand if you’re not busy don’t use the whole restaurant but you still have to reset the same amount of tables makes no sense ! You could deliver a more intimate enhanced dining experience using your knowledge and space ! Kat the bar tender was fantastic! Very knowledgable and helpful 10/10 ! CHEFS WOW ! On point ! Best fillet I’ve had in a very long time ! Starters , sauces perfect ! Excellent thank you . Would absolutely recommend overall 8/10 due to seating .
