Miller & Carter Hinckley in Hinckley and Bosworth

The absolute best steak I've ever had! Sure you don't know me and of course you don't need to trust me but pay those guys a visit and you'll keep coming back.

Been here nearly 2 hrs still no main course Never been bad in past

I know it's freezing outside but you don't expect to go for a meal and have to sit in your coat. I felt sorry for the waitresses because they were taking the brunt of it. The food was ok but was cold and I would say this was down to the fact it was freezing in there. Everyone was sitting eating in their coats or had scarves around their necks. If I visit Miller & Carter again I will choose another venue. Could and should have been managed better.

Beautiful food at server Leon was attentive and friendly. Nice kid free treat.

We had an amazing birthday celebration with the best waiter, Leon. Leon took care of everything we needed and made sure we had a great time. The steaks were incredible and I would highly recommend Miller and Carter.

2nd update. And I've removed the previous good review as its no longer deserved.This is no longer my favourite place to eat. I barely leave my home due to agoraphobia. So a date night at our favourite restaurant for our 7th wedding anniversary seemed right. 25 min to get our drink orders taken, they've removed any good dressing for the salad wedges and prices are ridiculous. Sad to say we will not be returning again.

Absolutely perfect. Was served by Karen what a lovely lady. She made sure we had everything we needed. Above and beyond Food was served hot and delicious. Well worth the visit Will definitely be going again

We love Miller and Carter, but this was our 1st visit to the Hinckley branch. Liam our server was lovely, very professional and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious as always! Our favourite restaurant as a family to visit.

The burger was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying! Alex, our server, was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. Highly recommend both the food and the exceptional service! But please less bbq on ribs.

Sally was a great table host! Very relatable and down to earth, made all the effort to make our experience great as a party of 14! She was on the ball with fast service and great banter! The kids pasta and meatballs was not good though at all, and the meatballs tasted so bad even I as a parent didn't eat them. They didn't taste like meatballs they were dry and tacky. The other food was delicious and will be visiting again

Service was slow and steak not cooked as per request. Server said they would speak to thier manager on what they could do. Having asked what the result of this conversation was when the bill was presented I was advised they just apologise. Not really acceptable especially when celebrating nye.

Sally provided excellent service from start to finish making our New Year’s Eve meal one to remember. Sally was highly attentive and made sure my dietary requirements were catered for. Nothing was too much trouble.

We live locally and are regular patrons. This time, we were left with the feeling that our evening family visit was an abject disappointment, bluntly we felt ripped off. OK, the whole hospitality scene is under enormous pressure but on this occasion we had the impression that the management, perhaps not locally, had taken the chance to pack in the bookings irrespective of the capacity of the waiting staff and kitchen to meet the demand. The table was not ready when we arrived, some choices were not available and the whole simple meal took more than three hours from arrival to departure. Not easy with an early meal booked to facilitate a child's bedtime. Some of the dishes lacked the freshness expected and were lacklustre. For example, the gravadlax offered in place of the prawn cocktail (not available) would have been enhanced at little extra cost to you by the provision of toast or brown bread. It was clear that all the staff were overworked. We would suggest that you resist striving for 100% utilisation even at peak demand to maximise your revenues, risking, say, 70% customer dissatisfaction, some of whom will not revisit. Despite all this, we felt it fair to reward our lovely server, Danielle, with the usual gratuity as, after all, it wasn't her failing but the total cost for four adults and one child at £239.47 was not reflective of our enjoyment.

Food nice. Rioja wine very nice. Service a bit slow.

Really not good. I had a burger, which was dry. Family and friends had steak and burgers also…all burgers were very and the steak just average. Nothing special. Deserts were brownie, which seemed microwaved, it was black and looked like a piece of coal. That was also dry and not gooey as expected. The restaurant was also cold, so we spent the dinner wearing coats. Overall verdict, not great.

Our server, Sally, provided an excellent level of service that really elevated our dining experience. From start to finish, she was friendly, accommodating, and her sense of humour added an extra layer of fun to the evening. Sally went out of her way to ensure everything was just right, showing genuine care and attention to detail. Our waitress tonight Georgia was amazing

We arrived tonight 20/12/24 and Debbie looked after us perfectly from start to finish. The restaurant was very busy due to it being Christmas but everything was A1. Will be sure to come back soon. xx

Great night celebrating our anniversary. The food was out of this world with a lovely atmosphere, Georgia was a lovely waitress and made the evening complete.

Great menu food was delicious although some came out cold.

Fab cocktails and fillet steaks were just beautiful. The only downside was that it was very dark and the car park is very small.

I have visited this Miller and Carter so many times in the last couple of years. But the last 3 times have been so disappointing. The first 2 I put it down to just a bad experience of bad luck. But this time it was just too many bad experiences. I always order the same black Angus ribeye medium rare. But apart from the first inch or so it has been more rare. And this time around it was just plain raw. I couldn’t eat it. Also please avoid the newly added blue cheese and white port sauce. I try all their sauces and this was inedible. A very disappointing visit from a previously loyal and happy customer. I won’t be back for a long time, if ever.

We came for my mum’s birthday meal and had a fabulous time. Nicola and the team are wonderful, thank you for looking after us so well. Would definitely recommend anyone come here for a great experience!

Great dining experience as usual

We were served by Sally tonight and her service was impeccable. She was very attentive and friendly and very helpful when we had any questions. Food and drinks were absolutely brilliant for a nice treat!

Where do I even begin. It was my 18th birthday today and so I was treated to a surf n turf (my favourite). The atmosphere was so cosy and had a familiar feel like a country side pub except more luxurious. We were greeted by Sally. Sally was so full of life and at times I forgot she was a waitress because she felt more like a friend making me laugh and feel so welcomed despite being my first time there. I wish there was a Sally at every restaurant across the world but there can only be the one unfortunately. Her service was unforgettable and made not only my dining experience but also my birthday that much better. The food was just as perfect. The Fillet Mignon was so tender and melted in my mouth packed with flavour. The menu was so simple to understand and order from thanks to the presentation of it but also Sally. I finished with an espresso martini and a small creme brulee. The creme brulee was delightfully light and I could honestly have eaten several. The espresso martini was the perfect transition from childhood to adulthood providing an ever so slight sweetness making it that much more enjoyable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Lovely meal with friends with do our pre Christmas catch up and present swap before I headed home . Food was lovely as always , as was the service we received . I love the consistency of the quality of the steaks we have here every time . The one that did arrive underdone ( I sadly ruin a steak having it well done ) was rectified swiftly and without complaint . Thank you and hope to be back in the not too distant future , Cass

Came here for team Christmas lunch . Very impressed from cracker , starter and main . I had a chicken liver and brandy parfait and turkey ballotine for main . It’s £32.95 not cheap for lunch but just festive enough for everyone .

Visited this week for the festive menu. First impression, restaurant was cold. 5 degrees outside, but not much warmer inside. 2 course menu priced at £32.95. Should be in for a good meal on a lunchtime deal for that price. Alas, not impressed. Could not fault the food, but not nearly enough of it. Meagre portions. To make it a real Christmas meal, it was another £10 for 3 small dishes. Come on M & C, £42.95 for a proper 2 course festive lunch is scandalous. Pudding was adequate. Shall not rush back. Merry Christmas.

Great experience, only exceptions were a piece of plastic in our food and steaks unseasoned... Salt and pepper available on table which was great, but there is something about a steak cooked with seasoning... Could be personal preference.

Requested a nice table near a window. We were shown to a scratched table by a door, it was very cold. I stated we wanted a Sunday lunch when booking but the don’t do Sunday lunch at the moment, nice to let us know in advance. Starters came, my daughter had a piece of plastic in her cheese mushrooms, my medium steak was totally raw and bleeding whilst others were over cooked. Brussels were terrible and raw also and food was at most like warm. A server came to our table with 1 bowl of lettuce and 2 steak knife’s and asked who was having steak, we said all of us, 10 minutes later someone else come with 4 bowls of lettuce and 4 steak knife’s, not organised and very cold in there, not what you expect when your spending over £200 just not welcoming at all. Seeing as it was a Xmas menus not a Christmas decoration or cracker in sight. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

We have a group of six ex and current colleagues and have been to Miller and carter hinckley on several occasions, we had Sally as our server and she was absolutely brilliant, she very quickly realised that we were up for a laugh and she really made our evening, I saw her serving other tables and she showed great emotional intelligence to tailor her approach to each table to ensure all her guests had the very best service! Thank you so much Sally!

We visited Miller & Carter on the 29th. We had a lovely waitress called Sally who was very attentive and friendly. She looked after us all evening. The food was absolutely delicious. We have been a good few times but this time was the best yet. Would highly recommend and would like to thank Sally again for making the evening an enjoyable one.

The food was really good, however when plates came out for our main course 3 of the 4 plates for the 2 butchers blocks we had ordered were dirty and needed replacing, our server changed in the middle of our meal and we weren’t notified so when we saw our first server walking past in uniform and asked to order further drinks we were told quite abruptly he wasn’t working now and that we would have to ask another staff member, this same staff member then walked around the restaurant drinking from a large bottle of squash in the customer restaurant area and looked very unprofessional unfortunately. We had to stop staff members to order more drinks twice and were only really checked on once throughout the entire meal which at £300+ for 5 adults and 3 children although happy to pay it did distract from our once a year special meal out to celebrate 4 birthdays and left a bit of a sour taste to the experience. Can’t fault the restaurant, food or times it took to get food out etc just our one server didn’t seem interested in us as it seemed he was coming to the end of their shift and didn’t think of how their lack of professionalism and lack of attention could effect a groups experience seeing as he was our server for our starters and mains and changed part way through our mains but could be bothered to let us know instead wondered around the restaurant drinking his squash out of a large bottle and when stopped rudely replied in an abrupt tone to say “I’m not working now sorry you will have to ask someone else!” When he could have quickly explained much nicer that he was just finishing his shift and would get our new server to come and take our drinks order. The next person to our table after this point visited and checked on us ensuring there were drinks and the meal was as expected as well as making recommendations on the children’s deserts and helping to ensure the children ordered things they liked and didn’t just try to upsell but used common sense to suggest similar items from the children’s menu that the children would find just as nice and filling as some of the adult menu choices saving us a few extra £££’s. Sorry to moan it just isn’t the sort of thing we expected to see at your amazing restaurant and I am sure some carefully worded management advice would help them to improve their customer service and make them a better employee after all we all have off days and we don’t know what else may have happened.

Just had steak dinner delivered for my son's birthday delivered and ordered through Uber eats , The steak was completely undercooked , the chips were cold and stale tasting , have applied for a refund through Uber eats but have not heard anything yet , extremely disappointed and if no refund is given we will not be ordering again .

The staff were very helpful, the food was amazing, the lights over head were a little bright when you tea lights on the table to set a little ambiance and the music was a little too loud, having to raise our voices to be heard over the music

We went out as an adult family group and were a large table all having two or three courses and drinks and then hot drinks to finish. We all enjoyed our starters mains and desserts and our service by Leon, was excellent. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Much better than than M&C Coventry. The staff were lovely , the food was really nice. I didn't want to go based on my experience at the Coventry restaurant, but very glad I did.

We tend to visit a couple of times a month, usually at lunchtime for the fantastic Pork Tomahawk. You really cant go wrong, good portion and great taste/value. We popped in a few nights ago and enjoyed a Chateau Briand, and we were served by Sally who did a great job and made sure everything was perfect. Thank you :)
