Always a fantastic,quality,well ran restaurant, the food is perfect,flavoursome and tasty, BONNIE our waitress was on point, educated with our needs and a delight (as always), my only bug bear is although blue light is accepted at M&C our discount wasn't applied due to the managers own discretion, obviously none of his/her family or close friends were being treated during covid, when we were risking our lives and bringing home to our own families whilst they were off work, all safe in doors. This really has rattled me, how quickly people forget how the emergency services protected them and the nation during the horrific time of COVID and how the equivalent of a free lemonade is not discounted, shame on the manager, I'm afraid to say our last visit, I will also being displaying the message at work which will advertise the abhorrent selfishness of the money orientated manager, could effect up 2000 potential customer in the Thanet area...

Arrived at this restaurant for a fine dining experience and what a lovely evening it was. Was meeted, and greeted with our kind waitress this evening, Courtney. She was bubbly and very informative with the menu and recommendations. Food was Devine and enjoyable. Would highly recommend and will definitely come again.

Was a great dinner experience although we were a little disappointed (especially after receiving a text message) that some dinners were not dressed “smart casual or “ dress to impress “ If you are going to request this, then management need to enforce this.

Recommend the 5oz Filet Mignon which we all had cooked in our preferred ways followed by a gorgeous dessert for £26 each?! Def one of our favourite restaurants in East Kent! Alison (Sandwich) x

Had a family meal here last night,and was abut let down for my first time,I had the dirty burger wasn't just wasn't that good,I know they are known for there steaks,but to charge £21odd for a burger for the quality was shocking,had to ask the lady serving us if they had forgotten to out in the pulled beef and onion loaf because there wasn't much there at all,and she came back with extras for me which was amazing as she was,she needs a pay rise,to be told the toppings are weighed out 😬,overall I just don't think the burger is worth that money,the starters was the star of the show for me,much better burgers around for less price

Saturday is s very busy night we waited nearly an hour for our main meal..starters was nice ,,wine was lovely main disappoining as it was small portion of chips , steak cooked perfectly thats all it was ,so my husband didn't find it very filling.cocktail which I had didn't taste of what I ordered,I was disappointed... but over all we have been other times and will continue to come again but not on a Saturday night..,,

Our waiter - Rob, was fantastic, very kind, funny and gave great recommendations on the menu. We felt comfortable at all times as Rob was always there to help and offer us great service. Well done to the chefs who make incredible food, to Rob for being an incredible waiter and the management for hiring and training a great team!

There wasn't any atmosphere, food was lovely, really can't fault food or staff ,the only thing that got on our nerves was where we were sat (your shown to a table) it gets really cold people in and out of the door ,holding door open, god knows why ,would definitely not sit there ever again and if it was the last available table would not stay unless hight of summer lol Was our 1st time there ,as food was lovely would go back and recommend, bit pricey but ,when food is good you can't complain , get what you pay for .

Glad we had a reservation on a busy Friday night Arrived early and the team were happy to seat us early Our initial server was outstanding. Great knowledge and perfect pacing. At the end of her shift she told us she was handing over... and we didn't see the "new" server for the rest of the evening 😒 Food plentiful and mostly good. Calamari starter was fried pretty crispy and was too small to get much from it. Limited choice of draught ales 🍺 But the Beavertown Neck Oil was really tasty 😋 Good atmosphere. Frankly quite expensive for what it is. Wouldn't be in a hurry to go back...

Booked for 4 people, turned out to be disappointing as we had two young children and was told that we should have booked for 6, I’ve never had to book for young children under the age on the age of two before food looked great but guy on the desk didn’t do much to help

We were a table of two and it was clearly a busy night. Rob was our steak expert and he made the whole experience come to life for us even with a bubbly personality and recommended a Sunday board which was amazing. Will definitely be coming back soon

We went here for a birthday meal and everyone had nothing but good things to say about their food. Steaks were cooked perfectly and as we asked by each person. The server Sharon was brilliant, attentive, professional and friendly. Would highly reccomend eating here.

Sunday sharing platter was delicious The waitress - Lee - is always really good. Very friendly and great service

Poor quality kids meals, steak specialists but kids steak was so tough (cooked medium rare) that almost unable to cut with a steak knife. Kids mac and cheese (so very cheap to make) was tiny and served in a ramekin!!!

Horribly slow service; took three hours to have the set meal. Food was good, apart from a deep fried daddy long legs at the bottom of the chips! Manager apologised and replaced the chips but not even a free drink for the horrible experience. Tables were too close together; loud. I would not eat there again.

We celebrated our sons 18th birthday last night with a table of 6 and 4 close together. As always the food was outstanding. Our waitress was lovely, didn't catch her name but she's been there since the harvester days and was so great even though it was incredibly busy. Nothing was too much, had the birthday cake brought out, we had a great night especially the birthday boy. Another brilliant meal here. Served by Sharon who was so helpful for my dairy free boys. Always checking in on us to make sure all was ok. Had the new Sunday sharer absolutely amazing. Our favourite place to eat.

We came here this evening with my parents for our 3 year anniversary we have Been to several different miller and carter restaurants in different areas and I would happily say that the herne bay miller and carter is the best and service was 5 stars and the food was mouth watering ashley and the chefs were extremley accomodating to my mums allergies the best service could not be happier with all the staff we would like to take ashley home with us her personality is amazing

We had a table book for 5 people today.. we turned up and got turned away because my other half was wearing a hat. He has to wear a hat due to medical reasons. I not being funny but I saw a lady with jeans with big old rips in her trousers .. how can you say that's acceptable... how does wearing a hat affect a meal in a restaurant... I think that is very poor service and I definitely won't be returning back.... what would happen if there was a person with a head scarf on wearing it for religious reasons ... would you ask them to take it off.... no course you wouldn't. Absolutely shocking experience

Not good Dirty and in need of a refurb, toilets appalling, restaurant in dire need of a paint job, tables in need of a lick of varnish, radiators falling apart. The service was also poor took ages to be served and we were delivered by the server he lent over my food to serve my partner and actually put his sleeve in my meal, shockingly bad 🫤 Overcharged for food which was cold. Overpriced for poor food and service. The owners need to see it for themselves , perhaps a secret shopper type of thing. Grim

I recently ate at Miller and Carter in Herne Bay, and it was great! Our waiter, Courtney, was awesome—super friendly and really helpful. She suggested some tasty dishes, and the steaks were cooked just right. The place had a nice vibe too Had two cups of tea, went down a treat. I’d give it a 5-star rating, thanks to Courtney’s fantastic service! Definitely worth a visit!

Had dinner with a friend and the service from Courtney was exactly what we wanted - friendly, helpful and gave us space for plenty of conversation. Fab - thank you and well done.

We were given a Miller and Carter gift voucher and booked for a late weekday lunch. The restaurant wasn’t busy so initially we felt very relaxed. We ordered two courses from the set menu. Out starter course of mushrooms was very nice. However we were very disappointed with our main course. I ordered fillet mignon and paid extra money for this. I ordered medium rare and my steak arrived very rare. Our chips were also too burnt to get a fork in, we had to eat them with our fingers. All in all our meal was extremely disappointing for a ‘steak house’! The steaks aren’t cheap and we expect an edible meal. We won’t be visiting Miller and Carter again until they employ better chefs.

An absolutely terrible experience! Having eaten in the restaurant several times in the past and always had an amazing meal tonight shows how much the standards have fallen! £75 for a butchers block which I get the high price as you pay for the experience and it’s the meal we always have and have always been happy to pay for till tonight! The steak was on the cold side, but I can live with that. What I take exception to was the brisket bone marrow being stone cold and having returned the meal they instantly brought back the steak minus the bone marrow and then microwaved the brisket bone marrow to within an inch of its life and returned the same item. I had after tasting it was cold tested the whole thing with my finger never expecting that they would return the same item. We refused to eat it and returned it to the kitchen. The waiter the said we can have a free pudding! A free pudding, my meal and my evening was ruined and left the restaurant. We had had 2 drinks which they did remove from the bill but £75 for a shocking meal and very poor service is completely unacceptable and we will not return. I would advise you do not return either.

First order at M&C, expensive but good, the coleslaw was minuscule and the mac and cheese side was small too and not worth the money. Will treat myself once in a while here. The ribs were excellent though.

We came as a birthday treat for my girlfriend who says that Miller & Carter is her favourite restaurant and makes the best steaks you can get. I was looking forward to it, as a good steak is hard to beat. Unfortunately, I found the meal very average. It was nice, but not what I had expected it to be. Especially given the high price! I couldn't possibly recommend the place given that it is average food and small portions for premium prices. It overall felt like if Wetherspoons tried to be posh. The food was better, and they tried to have an upmarket atmosphere, but it didn't quite land. Besides that though, the staff were absolutely wonderful, and we were well looked after.

Came here for a date for our anniversary. Had Holly W as our host who was excellent. Very friendly and great service, and also was a good laugh. Food was also excellent. First time eating here and definitely will again.
