The most over rated place to eat that I have ever encountered. Burger tasted completely bland, like it needed salt and seasoning. The cheese was overpowering and all of the salad tasted the same. I’ve never had grilled onions that tasted like watery cucumber until now.

Too expensive and the food was inedible

First time trying a burger here. It’s an American dinner. The burger was over cooked the chips were good the chocolate milks shake so sweet couldn’t drink it 3 of us went so 2 bacon burgers a small burger 1 lrg chips 1 medium chips 3 milkshakes when you going up and down to get your food and drink and the mayo comes in a tiny paper cup you clear the table and throw your own rubbish away. To change £62-50 Totally overpriced

2 stars are for the nice chips and clean restaurant. Unfortunately rest of meal - burgers and hot dogs were poor quality and overpriced. Better and more affordable eating places in Canterbury. We won't return.

45 minutes to cook 1 burger you have got to be joking me

The milkshake is so delicious. The meat is thick and the vegetables are fresh.

Five Guys just have the best burgers and fries hands down. So I tried their hotdog for a change, it wasn't what I expected but was great. The milk shakes are also incredible, but it takes real lung power to get them up the straw as they're so thick and creamy.

I wish I had gone elsewhere, £22 for a burger, fries and a shake. Nothing to write home about in terms of food quality, the atmosphere is like any McDonalds, KFC or fast food joint and service was functional. If you could mark the brand over substance, then I would give five stars, I felt very disappointed with this meal given the hype you see everywhere about it.

As I’m returning to Kent university this Sunday, one of the things I’m most excited for is having Five Guys again! I’ve gone there every week at uni on my trips to town and they never failed to be the absolute best fast food option in the whole town: from their refillable drinks and milkshakes each with so many combinations you can make, so many fries, burgers that taste like a pure dream, free peanuts, super friendly employees, chill American atmosphere and great music on the radio (even heard Greta Van Fleet playing once 👌) I’d love to have a part time job here, even for only 4 hours a week!

We admitted it was our first time, so the server explained well and we ordered - totally shocked by the high pricing! Found a clean(ish) table and waited, with our free monkey nuts, to hear our number called. Not a long wait...the food was DELICIOUS - closest I've had to a proper American burger in the UK and the large chips was a proper American portion. Love the choices of toppings and the option to add spice to the chips or have it on the side. It could do with a good clean in the seating areas, and perhaps a few smiles among the staff and the monkey nuts just out on an actual pallet didn't look right...

I really wish for plastic straws for the milkshake

Ordered a cheese burger onion mushroom and fries burger was dry watched them squish it to death with a spatula took over 12 mins to make what I received was a nasty flavourless dry burger with onion that tasted like water no taste and mushrooms that again had no taste and burnt Cajun fries for £16.70 over priced and slow and worst food I've ever had and I've eaten at Dairy Queen

We had to wait long time for the burger nor there were no people at all in the restaurant, somehow burger wasn't as good as at the other five guys restaurants

For the price of the food, all I can say is 🤮 never again. I should of gone to McDonald's 😂

Chips are nice , the milk shake is too sweet to drink though.

I have to say that as far as burgers go this is not the best I have had but was certainly the most expensive. The meat was so over cooked that it had shrivelled up to two semi-burned offerings. I cannot understand why fresh chilled meat has to be overcooked as part of their process to deliver a semi-custom burger experience. Also, the buns lettuce and onions ended up being a soggy mess. On the plus side the chips were very good. Needless to say I won’t be eating there or the Munich branch again.

Needed a quick bite to eat and couldn’t get in anywhere before a theatre show so thought we would try five guys, what a mistake. £11.95 for an ok burger, 5.95 for possibly the worst chips I have ever eaten, soggy but over cooked, tasted terrible. £4.25 for a flat coke out of the machine and 6.25 for a bottle of beer. Total bill for 2 £38 for essentially fast food, what the hell is that! Restaurant itself was grubby, sticky and smelt of cooking oil. Dirty, wonky tables Offered peanuts that were probably roasted last year, disgusting. Lesson learnt, we won’t ever return and I would recommend sticking to McDonald’s or Burger King if you want a quick burger.

It's a standard burger joint, not really my thing but was as expected

Was served bye a lovely young lady and a women called Donna was h being a really bad day and she offered me a lovely hot dog for free really lit up my day ever so kinda we’re both lovely people.

My server donna was amazing, fast service lovely costumer service recommended the double cheeseburger but having the buns the grilled cheese way! I must say it was delicious!!!!

Great food bit pricey but worth it .

Great experience at five guys on Friday for lunch. My friend and I were greeted by the manager (I believe) who was very helpful and reassuring. The food was standard five guys- so delicious- will be coming back.

The waitress serving on sunday 21 May, was extremely rude, kept rolling her eyes at everyone, and looked absolutely miserable. Get another job if you hate it that much.

US Franchise in UK. Very good burgers and their own type of Chips/Fries. Not cheap. 4 burgers and 4 Milk Shakes are c. £75. Im my day a take out was under £20. Inflation. Double the cost of USA so premium take out. Worth a trip now and then. Outclass Mc D and Burger King in quality but it is a burger!

Can never go wrong with Five Guys!

Coming here is always an easy choice, but I think it's a bit pricey if your paying for 6 people. I dont like it you have to order everything individually rather then just getting a meal. You know what your getting really, the menu is simple I'd say it's one of the best burgers you can get or at least it's one of my favourites. Good thing is you get a large portion of chips, it manages to feed a few and they are really good I didnt like the hotdogs but some of the kids do

Quality burger, chip portions are very big. So I would say the little portion is closer to a regular and regular is more large.

Too loud. Horrible interior layout. Horrible interior overall. Always too busy. Food terrible. People tend to think all franchises must be the same. They're not. WHO cooks the food REALLY matters. There's much better five guys in London. Water machine dispenses only freezing cold water which will give you brain freeze.

Dirty tables, an age to wait for food, and then dry burgers and a really horrible tasting hot dog. The chips are nice. When that's the best thing about the food you can find to say, then it's safe to say I'd not bother coming back. Also, it's expensive for what it is.

Undoubtedly the best Burger & Chips in town, the Canterbury store has now become my favourite FG in the UK, trust me, I have been to a few, all amazing, but Canterbury has Got It! Well Done Team Canterbury!

Like McDonalds on steroids. Costs an arm and a leg, but like a Mercedes you get what you pay for regarding quality.

Standards dipping slightly, burgers not their juicy normal yummy taste. Chips slightly under cooked. Will return. However, will need to be more demanding when ordering.

This seemed out of place in the historic part of town. And the service wasn’t very fast. The burgers however were very good. I like picking all the options to put on the burger. Nice.

Burgers are pretty good. Fries are bad (over-seasoned and soggy). Biggest issue is the price, far too expensive for what you get.

Good burger, really good burger and a salted caramel ice cream = £15.15 ! Without chips, as you pay extra for them ! To me it was good to experience but not sure I'll go again . . .

Love this as a lunch option. Hamburger is pricey, but it's a decent meal on its own with all the toppings you can choose, and amont of quality beef in the 2 patties. The cajun fries are gorgeous, but I only have them when I'm really hungry! Staff are polite. Recommended.

Completely over priced nice but not that nice

Came here to see what the fuss is all about. Long story short, it’s an ok burger, but definitely not worth the money. Of course taste is subjective, but the overall feeling of a cheap restaurant suitable for young people after a night out. Bare minimum decorations, you get your food in a brown bag. This would be great at half price as an alternative to McDonalds. But it’s not cheap.

Burgers, chips and beer, whats not to love

Non male ma nemmeno nulla di speciale, non so se lo sceglierei ancora come posto, prevalentemente si può prendere dei burgher, patatine, milkshake e bibita, nient altro. La salsa nel panino era davvero poca anche avendo scelto solo 1 condimento (gratuiti)

I visited this today, always a bit dubious about burger restaurants as I am gluten intolerant and can’t handle the bun. I have ordered cheeseburger without the bun. A staff suggestion was a lettuce wrap.. Sold with thanks. The burger was lovely as was the better half’s bacon dog, the chips well cooked with British sourced potatoes. Definitely a quality outfit full marks 👍🏻

Really nice burgers and loads of fries!

The best convenient burger you can buy. There is a reason ppls only complaint is it’s too expensive. But that’s laughable when you consider a big tasty costs 6 quid (that’s not as a meal) only 2 quid less and this is easily double the burger.

Staff were great, food was great. It's a lot dearer than generic burger take aways but you get what you pay for, and this was nice

Tried bacon cheeseburger, with mayo, pickle, and lettuce. I couldn't even detect any mayonnaise so that was probably forgotten. This thing is £10.65!! The main thing to notice is the LACK of seasoning making it a dull burger and after comments from 'Kyle vs Food' on YouTube I was expecting this to be a real barnstormer. I think his branch is doing a better job. Also the cheese is quite cheap tasting, maybe some cheddar would have lifted it a bit. Whole thing was simply 'meh!'

Food was tasty but at £38 for two burgers, chips and shake, it's over priced.

Was a very friendly place to dine in , very welcomed and was very clean and a quick service . However it was very expensive for a beef hotdogs with salad nearly £6 , a cheese burger , salad and sources and fries which over £13 and 2 corona drinks costed £29 . Couldn't afford meals like that everyday with my partner . Food was nice I won't discredit there food but the prices is ridiculous.

First visit to a Five Guys which (the brand in general) had been recommended to me. What a disappointment! Went for a "little" burger because I thought a full-size one with two patties would be too large. Received a basic fast-food burger with a squashed bun, much like you the cheapest McD burger. We selected mushrooms for one of the burgers, never found any. And who thinks that the premises in the design of a public toilet is attractive for a supposedly premium food outlet?

Having visited a diff branch solo, I was unsure how accommodating this one would be to ♿ I manage my disability partly through pushing my mum's wheelchair, and both staff and customers saw that and were very supportive. Thanks guys, we'll be back soon. May ask for a smaller portion of fries and a bit less Cajun, as I forget that it's muay picante and how generous the portions are

Happy myself a Oreo milk shake, arrived quite quickly however it was not that busy. Easy to find on the high street. Simple pull door and over the step and your in . Cashier are near the back of the store, lovely bunch of people. Ordering system could improve as no one told my number after ordering. 25p for the cream in the shake, good addition I guess. Milkshake was lovely but the environmental friendly straw was not very helpful to b the honest .
