Katrina was amazing What a great evening, great food and great service!!

The food was absolutely amazing, probably the best I’ve ever had. However, the service was absolutely appalling. First of all, our starters were served before we received our drinks. And when we did get our drinks, the server just placed the bottle of wine on the table. He didn’t even ask if we wanted to taste it and worse still it hadn’t even been uncorked! My cousin then asked if he could have some extra peppercorn sauce to which the server said he would have to charge us for. My cousin then said it was his birthday (which it was) and the server laughed and thought he was joking. He was very rude and insulting. And to top it off, when we were finishing our wine he asked if he could clean the table, even though the restaurant was empty and there was no immediate need to do so. This really ruined the experience as everything else was very good

Just got back from a meal at the Miller & carter in Beaconsfield. Been here a few times and is normally okay, but tonight on the other hand awful experience! When we first walked in was greeted by a young lady not sure of name, but from the start was very unwelcoming almost to the point of awkward. We then were seated and this time greeted by the waiter, also very unwelcoming. Tried to make conversation but yet little to none in return from him. We then ordered starters which came out.. no plates to eat off nor was there any checking in to see if everything was okay. Shortly after the mains arrived. Table was not cleared of any empty glasses not until the very end and yet forgot one of our drinks and ended up getting that before we left. Food wasn't the best either. Think this will be my last time eating at Miller & Carter. Find it too over priced for what it is and especially the service you receive. I do normally leave a tip but when you bill comes to £113.89 and with service like this on this occasion I declined the tip. When paid the waiter did not say enjoy your night as he was not happy with not receiving a tip. Maybe need to work on your customer service and hospitality would be a great tip. Not for me. Bad experience!!

Exterior needs updating Interior is cozier and has a warm atmosphere although not many clients given it was 3pm Food was good and the lady, Marnie, that served us was very pleasant We enjoyed our visit

Every year I take a large school group here and always have a wonderful time. The food is always excellent, the staff incredibly friendly, efficient and accommodating. Will absolutely keep returning!

The limited NYE menu was perfect and had lots of options, festive drinks were also great! Apple tart fine was incredible! Love coming here

We came here for my son’s birthday and the four of us thoroughly enjoyed our burgers and steak, all of which were cooked tno perfection. Would definitely recommend, especially for a special occasion.

Food was immense. Our server (blonde lady with glasses - didn't get her name!) was fabulous. She took the time to recommend how the different steaks were cooked, and even came back to our table to explain which was which. Everything was amazing, we'd definitely return!

The t bone steak had been overseasoned to the point where my partner could not carry on eating it. The lettuce “wedge” was tiny and the other was just a collection of pieces that appeared leftover (I have photos). Upon complaining we were told that lettuces come in different shapes and sizes and this must have been a small one. We also had to ask for more sauce as the quantity of sauce to meat was terrible! How do you expect a t bone steak to be eaten with the standard portion of sauce?! I had a 12oz steak and it wasn’t even enough for me. I understand that a refund was given for my partners meal but by that time we just wanted to leave. It wasn’t a really bad experience for us on our anniversary. We won’t be coming again

The steak was very salty and ruined my evening with my partner, staff weren’t very helpful, there was also another group of people who experienced the same sort of problem, the standards have dropped and won’t be going again

We went to the restaurant yesterday for Christmas dinner and was the worst experience I have ever had and my child said the worst Christmas he had, we waiting for 45 minutes for the first course which was soup and had to be sent back as cold and then waited another 45 minutes after chasing the staff for the main course which was again cold and disgusting, three people had the same steak and they where all different in sizes. Spoke to one of the managers and he agreed and then went away to sort it and another manager came over who said he was the main manager and the other one was deputy manager. (maybe I would use assistant manager) he said he was in charge of the food coming out and timing. When I said so it’s your fault the food was cold and delivered in awful way, he went no that’s the cheat which I said your in control off, he walked off and never returned Then the desert came out which was meant to be hot and no it had just come out of the fridge. When I called them again and questioned it he delivered more deserts which were hot. It was the worst experience I have ever had and on a special day just destroyed it The assist manager tried but wasn’t sure what to do and then asked me to give them another try What would you do ? Destroyed Christmas Day, had to go home and make food as the food wasn’t eaten, cost me a lot of money and now having to arrange another family day together to try and make it up to them. Every table in our section was complaining Maybe management need to lean more about customer service I hope sue walsh (retail operations director) reads this and your more than welcome to contact me Thank you miller and carter and hope people read this and think twice

Lovely food, very well cooked. Taha was polite and service was good. Shame we ordered surf and turf but did not receive the surf and only told 10 mins before our mains were served.

Had the sharing steak. Absolutely huge and couldn’t finish it. Steaks good and not chewy. Excellent service considering the restaurant was very busy. Update: back again and had lovely service from Danielle who was really helpful and suggested that we could take our dessert home as I’d run out of room. Great starters and steaks too. Huge menu choice as the Christmas selection is also available. Extra stars for the fabulous service from Danielle.

Food was good. We had to wait quite a while before placing our order. Waitress who took our order was very pleasant but didn't apologise for the delay. Our part of the restaurant was not very warm, but to be fair, it was a very cold evening outside. We asked if the radiator behind us could be turned on, but were told that there was a problem and they were waiting for someone to come in and sort out the heating. Our bill was incorrect. We ordered (and received) one steak at £19.00 and one at £22.50 (or something like that - I forget exact prices). We were charged for two at the higher price. Explaining that to the waitress, she said ok, I'll take it away and redo the bill. Again, no hint of an apology, which, as you will have gathered, Irritated me somewhat!! But I must stress that she wasn't unpleasant - probably busy or distracted!
