Lomito GX in South Bucks

First visit here and invited a friend to celebrate her birthday. Fabulous service from Miguel and amazing food for the price on the lunch menu. Will be back for sure.

For a family birthday we choose Lomito to celebrate and it did not disappoint. On arrival one of our party noticed the Private Dining room and as we had 14 people we were able to relocate which was excellent. The service was prompt with explanation given on the menu , the size , taste and quality of the food was 1st class with the roast a hit with those who choose it, the meat was so tender and full of flavour. The staff made a small birthday plate with candles & song , a great touch. Overall a lovely place to dine and celebrate.

The fillet steak although not medium rare as ordered (medium to well) was nevertheless very nice. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier.

We had an extremely good visit here on a Wednesday evening. Great ambience, food and staff. Miguel served us wonderfully. 100% reccomend!

We’ve always loved Lomito but we recently booked the private room for 12 people to have Sunday lunch. Firstly, I’d recommend the private room, it doesn’t have to be a special occasion. In our case, 9 adults, 3 active children and a newborn baby, it’s quite helpful to have a space where you don’t have to worry about what the kids are doing or how much noise they may or may not be making to disrupt other diners. Secondly, having been to Lomito on many occasions and raving to people about the steak sampler, the pork belly bites (that aren’t on the menu anymore… cry) and the chimichurri, I’m not quite sure how we blinked and missed the in case Sunday lunch deal. Between 12 and 4pm, you can have 1 course for £14, 2 courses for £20 or 3 courses for £21 - it is an extra £7 got the Sunday roast but all of that for £28 is excellent value. The starters and desserts in the deal are limited to 2 choices but what we did was ordered a starter from the main menu and then you can just get 2 courses from the lunch deal. The roast isn’t small either, you’ll see from the picture that you get rump steak cooked to your liking, a whole carrot, garlicky kale, roast potatoes, gravy and TWO Yorkshire puddings. My only top tip would be book for between 12 and 2pm, as we booked a 3pm and staff were deservedly so taking their breaks and serve was much slower than other visits. I would say 100% would recommend and visit again, except I already have visited again since we went 3 weeks ago. 2 roasts here in 3 weeks when we have all of Bucks to offer, it’s testament to the food and the value (we’ve actually booked another visit for the 12 of us too.) Without a doubt, my top 3 roast in Bucks!

Really, really good steak and excellent service. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Waitress was friendly, efficient and welcoming. We had such a lovely evening.

My husband and I enjoyed the perfect evening meal for our anniversary at Lomito in Gerrards across tonight. Our server Miguel was so warm and welcoming and had a great sense of humour, helped us to choose our starters that included the burrata and the mixed sausage platter, that were delicious. They had a broad selection of options, so we couldn’t quite make up our minds. Having heard that it was our anniversary, Miguel kindly brought us complimentary mocktails, which was a lovely surprise. We devoured our mains - I highly recommend the Lomo steak - that’s what my husband chose ; ) It was DELICIOUS - tender and cooked to (medium) perfection. We skipped dessert because we were stuffed, but honestly, with great food, great service with smiles and laughs, Lomito is a great place to dine.

First time visiting Lomito, based on the slew of great reviews here. We went during lunch to celebrate our anniversary with 7month old in tow, luckily it wasn’t busy yet. The meal as a whole was executed very well. Highly recommend the cheese empanadas, I should have ordered more! Steaks were succulent, cooked as desired and the sauces (I got bernaise) were to die for. Came for steak and was not disappointed. Extensive non-alcoholic drinks menu, which again did not disappoint. All the sides were delicious too. Food came quickly and the service was first class. Highly recommend visiting and would not hesitate to go back. Thanks Miguel (and team)

Had the most fantastic evening at Lomitos tonight. Outstanding food and fantastic service from Miguel. I always bring overseas colleagues visiting the UK to Lomitos as I know that the food is going to be delicious and the service is always exemplary. If you are looking for good food and 5 star service I definitely recommend Lomitos.

From the warm welcome at the entrance to the end of the meal, you will be pampered by a super attentive staff and served with exquisite meals cooked to perfection. A feast of meat flavours (but not only) for steak aficionados. Not to miss.

What a fabulous memorable experience we had at Lomitos on this busy Father's Day afternoon. The staff went the extra mile to look after our party of four - the service could not be faulted. Sandy loved her salmon dish and my steak was perfect. We'll definitely be coming back soon.

A fabulous lunch with my daughter for Father's day! Let's just say awesome. Lomito never disappoints and I will explain why. They accommodated a late booking for lunch, which was great, but here's what I really like: Lomito always has that very local personal feel but conducts itself like its bigger international peers, think Goodmans or Hawksmoor. That's what I look for in a restaurant but it is so difficult to find. And for a restaurant, it is difficult to get right. Lomito do it with a natural aura that draws me back every time. Our order was lunch and everything was spot on. The bread with that divine chimmichurri that I can never emulate. The empanadas and chorizo never disappoint. For mains the steak and rib eye sandwich were both outstanding. Many would agree that for desert - the churros are some of best around. A special mention on the steak, I normally go for rib eye or fillet, and this time the rare rump was some of the best steak we have ever eaten, cooked to perfection with meat that just melted in your mouth. Just divine and knocked it out of the park. Finally, thank you so much for addressing my steak envy and putting rump at the top of the list!

We went for my 23rd birthday a table of 9. Miguel was our server and was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and attentive and the food was stunning. Best steak I’ve ever had. Nice decor in the restaurant and all the staff are happy and friendly. Can’t thank Miguel enough for his hospitality he truly capped off an amazing birthday.

I had just got back from the Birmingham NEC for work around 19:30 totally exhausted after a 5AM start and promised my customer a good steak before he headed back into London. Despite tables available galore we were asked to wait 10 minutes. Sorry not good enough especially at those prices when I’ve been a number of times before at the weekend and had no issues.

Miguel was our server and he was amazing. Had a great knowledge of the menu and allowed us time to chose our meal. Was very friendly and helpful throughout our time at Lomito.

Best Sunday lunch we’ve had in a long time. Fabulous thick slices of pink tender beef, crunchy roast potatoes and lovely veg.

Excellent quality food and staff. My husband and I could eat there every day. Now, they only need to add delivery service to go that extra mile for their customers. 😜

Visited here very lastminute and did not have a reservation. The lady on reception was very friendly and was able to offer us a table. The restaurant was quite busy but had a warming family feel to it. All the staff were welcoming and polite. We elected to go for the prawn starters and the wagyu main. Sufficed to say both starter and mains were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend We were served by the lovely Max, who took time to explain everything and was very friendly throughout and constantly checked up on us. It was also really nice to see the manager doing the rounds and checking in on every table. Wil definitely be back for more....

We mention my fiancée was gluten intolerant, food contained gluten. Made to feel we had to tip other wise the waiting staff were forced to pay the chefs the tip we didn’t pay, I thought this was disgusting after paying for the meal that my fiancée could barely touch and that fact there are no baby changing facilities. As a new family with one having a food allergy which wasn’t met, we will be avoiding Lomito and informing our friends that referred us of our experience.

Really enjoyed a meal for 5 of us tonight at Lomito, we were sadly scared off by the violence we saw on a video at The Journeyman and decided to try Lomito again. Skipped starters and went for the Steak sharing platter with 4 x150grms of each of the cuts and it was a great choice as sharing platter. Sides of veg were all well cooked and flavoured and wine selection was a tad over-priced for Argentinian wines but there was a good selection of wine to choose from. Deserts stole the show with delicious puds which were on the larger side, but as we had skipped starters we justified the portions and tucked into what was arguably the best part of the meal!!! Will return soon and bring some more friends to sample the delights of one of Gerrards Cross’ best restaurants!

Terrible experience tough steak Rude staff manager simply shrugged his shoulders and blamed us for the food being tough. Waited over 30mins for replacement streak and had to eat whilst family had finished and plates had been cleared Charging high end prices mediocre, food, terrible atmosphere, save your money and go elsewhere

Very unwelcoming atmosphere overpriced food. Ordered wagu steak was very tough and basic for £66 had to wait for over 30 mins for replacement order by that time my whole family had finished eating and staff already started clearing the table. Rushed my food and left. Supposed manager wasn’t interested. Not sure how this place get so high ratings for a standard steak and chips please bare in my we had no starters or dessert side salad for £348 Daylight robbery!!! Very disappointing as it was a birthday meal

Worst atmosphere. You know the ones when staff think they are above you. Terrible wagyu steak fatty and tough had to send back by the time my order came staff where clearing the table as the rest of my family had finished eating. So I had to rush mine. Manager was rude and accepted no responsibility according to him wagyu streak is always tuff and I ‘just didn’t like it ‘ which isn’t true I’ve had wagyu a few times with no issues including there Northwood branch. No starters ordered or dessert no side salads £348 Just standard streak and chips. Terrible Save your money and head over to Maliks never had an issue and beautiful food

Our favourite restaurant in Gerrards Cross. Fantastic food, steak is the best ever and Miguel is a brilliant waiter. We celebrate most of our birthdays here and today’s our anniversary.

Disappointing - celebrating milestone birthday, drinks took over 45 minutes to arrive, two of which were wrong, starters arrived before drinks, mains followed swiftly after, without a couple of mins interval, food felt rushed, what was supposed to have been a relaxed ‘special’ evening … wasn’t.

Amazing meat! Great service also. We had extra truffle butter and placed it on our triple cooked chips. Yummy!

We had a fabulous meal; food cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Obviously on a Sunday night, it was a bit quiet but we were a family group so the lack of a buzz didn’t really matter. We would definitely return.

If you want a good steak with your choice of sides and sauce enjoyed in a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, then head to Lomito. The service is attentive and accommodating, but you get to enjoy your meal in peace, which I like. Once we got a piece of meat with a lot of fat that wasn't cooked properly and they immediately replaced it no questions asked. They take pride in their steaks. It's always packed on a weekend so book ahead, but you can always find a a table during the week. Prices are also reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful experience. I have the filet with grill veggies and it was superb. We ordered a bottle of Norton Privada which paired perfectly with the meal. Highly recommend this as the place to have steak if you're in Gerrads Cross.

Food good but airconditioning ruined the experience. I went home very cold and my husband a stiff neck, may not come again unless you turn it off?

Fantastic night in the new private dining room as a pre Christmas get together with friends. Food was great and menu selection offered the main key choices from the normal menu. Special mention goes to Monty who looked after us very well and kept our glasses filled all night! Would highly recommend.

Haiku review: Service quite lacking Atmosphere flat, tables bare But the beef sublime

Last night went for dinner with a friend. The food is top notch here. Our server Max made some recommendations and had a good friendly laugh with us. He recommended us a dish called the Hamita’s - I highly recommend this I’ve been to the Lomito in Northwood a few times, but Max’s friendly nature and good service will be the reason I return to this branch again.

These folks get steaks, incredible. I also so need to know their Broccoli recipe, indeed, I did type Broccoli... Best I've ever eaten anywhere. Mashed potatoes (purée de pats) beautifully smooth, creamy and with butter .. the Gambas, WoW! ... The Argentinian pasties (cheese or beef) beautiful... £300 for four adults, but worth every penny.

We popped in for lunch on a cold December day having smelt the glorious smell filling the air. Opted for the lunch menu, both had the Lomito sandwich - it was by far one of the most delicious things we have eaten at a restaurant or pub in a long time. Service was excellent also. If you love steak definitely try this.

Excellent Steak house, I highly recommend the Wagyu Ribeye it is excellent as is the service. This is the best steakhouse I have found in the UK. Their passion for great food (with an open kitchen) great service in a very comfortable setting just leaves me very satisfied and excited to return.

Great experience, came here a couple days ago and was blown away. Service was impeccable, our waiter Monty was superb and very attentive. Food was amazing and delivered very fast. Cocktails were also amazing. All around great night out!

Big party of us on a project night out. Food was pretty good, from a short menu (fair enough for a big group), with fantastic steaks, which were well cooked. Very beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere, busy but not noisy, and really good service. Starters were fine, puddings unknown as no-one had one. Didn't see the bill but I imagine it was a biggun.

My fiancé and I had an incredibly delicious dinner last night. We went all out and had cocktails, starters, lots of steak and desert afterwards. Everything was excellent and the whole occasion was a real treat. Their signature Bloody Mary is so good! Our server was Lucas who was fun, efficient and advised us well on well on wine. All the other staff who we interacted with, including the manager Pom, couldn't have been more friendly. We will definitely be back!

Had lunch at Lomito in Gerrards Cross on Saturday 14 October. Miguel, from Candas, in Spain, waited for us and was instrumental helping us choose from the lovely menu. As a result, this was our best visit out of a half a dozen!! Highly recommended!!!

Amazing rib eye steaks. I rarely say this but a-ma-zing. Miguel delivered superb service: knowledgable, friendly, charming. We were blown away by our experience in this unassuming restaurant in Gerrards Cross. Very very nice. We will return. 6 stars people. If you can, try it out.

Had the best night! Miguel was extremely charming and helpful - he is an absolute credit to the restaurant. We had wonderful cocktails, wine and steak, and I was even given a delicious birthday dessert. It felt like a total treat -thank you so much Miguel!

Too expensive for what u get.. Service was lovely..not hassled nor pushed out the door when done, which is nice.. but food was far too expensive for portion size..plus veggie options not great. If u have Penne with tomato sauce as a kids option you would hope u could ask for a adults main.. but it was an NO ...no discussion .. just No... won't be going back

First time visit for our son's birthday. Mainly a steakhouse, however despite none of us eating beef, there were plenty of choices and we had a great meal there. Delicious wines too. Would recommend for a special meal.

We came across this restaurant whilst waiting for a showing. We thought we would just have starters, but looking at the menu we decided to go start to main because it looked so good. The food was on point, and the drinks were mixed so well. I would highly recommend it for a couples date night.

If you like steak, this is the best in South Bucks. Great Sunday roasts and also the pork belly starter. Great service and decor.

The steak was absolutely delicious, along with everything else we ordered from the cocktails to the sides. Miguel was very welcoming and friendly too. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Nice enough, can be quiet empty even at peak times

10th August 2023. Me and the wife have been to every steak house you can imagine across London, Europe and the Americas. This place hits the spot everytime. Its like you forget how good it is untill you come here again. As good a steak as in any top overpriced steakhouse in london! and at a reasonable price. Huge portions, cooked to perfection! U can literally spend the same money in Miller Carter. Know where we'd prefer to eat. You must try the humitas!! We'd come back for this alone Thankyou David and the team ! We will defo be back.....

One of our favourite restaurants in the area. The food is mouth wateringly good, the serving staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is intimate yet welcoming. The chocolate mousse cake is perfect to end a fantastic meal.

I don’t eat read meat but took my family there today for the burgers (they loved it) and I had the chicken, which I had before and loved it too. Very disappointed today. The chick is as minute. Mostly bibes and the salad was terrible. So very expensive & mean meal for me. SorrY Lomito. Not coming back ☹️

The food was delicious. We had sharing sausage platter and for mains we had the 4 different cuts of steak which was absolutely divine . The let down was the tiramisu. It was so awful - not enough espresso-soaked ladyfingers surrounded by lightly sweetened whipped cream and a rich mascarpone… instead what we got was something put in rose style pastry covered with lots of cream. That is not a tiramisu. That is not the standard that is expected especially when spending £ 191.00 .

Came here for dinner and had excellent and attentive service from start to finish. The cocktails were great and a good range of non alcoholic cocktails too. We had the sausage platter to start which was excellent and the churrasco de chorizo cut for a main and it was exceptional. Loved the genuine hand cut and cooked chips which were great. We had 3 puddings and all shared, the tiramisu churros and chocolate mousse cake, all delicious. Overall it was a very good experience and I'd not hesitate to recommend a visit. It is expensive even by GX standards but I think it was worth it.

I had a beautiful sirloin my waiter Lucas was very attentive. Sauces were ok.

My family are regular visitors to Lomito. The standard is consistently high. I have seen adverse comments on the 'Next Door website but have only ever had good experiences personally.
