Turned up on a Wednesday night , surprised at how busy it was ! They have recently started a 3 course (very good value) menu for a couple of nights during the week, Rebeca who served us was lovely, friendly, very high knowledge on the food ! Food was absolutely fantastic - 100% recommend the pork belly starter, and my steak was cooked to perfection Highly recommend!!

We went to Miller and Carter (Parbold) for the second time. Our server Lauren was amazing, very attentive and was fabulous interacting with the children, one who is 11 and one at 8 months old. Lauren ensured we had everything we needed. Definitely will be returning

Lovely meal on Saturday 8th. We booked in at 5 and it wasn’t busy. After we’d ordered there was a power cut- didn’t last long and the waitress kept us updated The pumps/draughts were out of service which we could hear some people moaning about. We had a lovely meal, the Smokey prawn starter was exceptional The t bone was ok- I don’t believe it’s worth the price it was pretty chewy and have had better but the bone marrow sauce was absolutely beautiful. The lamb was fabulous We had a really lovely evening and would return. Your waitress (didn’t get her name, dark haired with her nose pierced) - she was fantastic and a credit to your team

Visit this restaurant often and normally can't fault it but our last visit just didn't give us a nice dining experience, the restaurant wasn't busy and we were seated in a tiny dark corner of the restaurant jammed in next to 3 other couples all about 2 foot away from each other, could hear without listening the other couples conversations and it all felt rather awkward, whilst behind us were 2 nice booths unoccupied and plenty of tables throughout the restaurant. Food and service was excellent as always but just didn't enjoy my evening and can't understand why whoever does the table plans would do so so badly!!!

Lauren was amazing I have a food allergy and she went above and beyond to ensure that my food was safe to eat. Food was fantastic.

We enjoyed the Cote de Boeuf which was cooked to perfection. The sides and dessert all made the experience extremely enjoyable. Lauren was fabulous. She attended to our every need and brought smiles and laughter to the table at every opportunity. Thank you Lauren, and the chefs you are all credit to the team!

Pre booked table and arrived at 6:00pm. Was 8:15pm until we were served salad.

The usual Miller and Carter finery served by great staff only too willing to help. A great time once again.

Had lunch several times previously enjoyed every visit. This visit was no different, except, we tried a different main. Tomahawk steaks. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. cutlery was clean as was the table. food was as ever cooked and served to perfection. My only negative comment would be if there were slightly more veg with the meal.

Visited on a Saturday night, had the 16oz Rib-eye, cooked to absolute perfection! Lauren served us, she had the best personality and also very informative and careful with regards to allergies etc ... every restaurant needs a Lauren! Will definetly return

We arrived at 4pm on Saturday 1st March. Our server, Mollie was prompt and courteous throughout. I ordered calamari to start and husband ordered the scallops. Both delicious. We ordered the chateaubriand to share; we've never done this before. Ordered seasoned fries and the veg for sides which we also shared. The cut was very tasty, we would definitely order this again. On a good weather day which I know you can't predict, it is spectacular outside. We caught a beautiful sunset when leaving. Would recommend

Comfortable and clean Staff are pleasant I had fish cakes with salad. I would question whether there was haddock as stated on the menu as I was unable to taste it. The inside of the crumb was a smooth white paste without evidence of the haddock. Some of the salad leaves were limp and edged with brown. I did not compliant as I did not want to spoil the experience for my companion who enjoyed his steak sandwich.

Had a lovely evening spent at Miller and Carter. We were seated within 2 minutes of being there by the floor manager. We did arrive 10 mins late, but this wasn't an issue. Seated in quite a busy part of the restaurant, but if felt private enough considering it was peak serving time cant complain. Tables seem spaced nicely. Emily was our server. She was very welcoming, polite, and attentive. We had a mix-up with the starter where one of the orders had been mixed. It just so happened that the table next to us had ordered that exact thing. So it seemed like their food came out before us even though i think it was just taken wrong as that table, then they complained they hadn't had any drinks before receiving their food. After a wait, my starter came, and it was really nice, just simple sticky chipotle chicken. The mains came soon after. We had the 3 course set menu. I had the 50-day sirloin, and my partner had a 30-day rump. Both cooked perfectly how we like. Garnish was tasty, and the house malbec was nice to pair. We had salted caramel sharing cookie dough for desert. This hit the spot nicely largely on the sweet side. Finally, Emily offered us some compliments of the house, which was a nice touch to acknowledge the issues at the start of the meal. All in all will be coming back for sure, would reccomend. Also, online booking is really easy. I found booking a table very simple, and reminders came through well, kudos. Thanks all.

The service was exemplary and Charlotte was a pleasure to deal with and a credit to the team, we were a large party and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a late Valentine’s night dinner at this place. When we got there, it was super busy, but we were quickly seated. We ordered scallops and a chateaubriand. The lady who served us was really nice and friendly. but sadly we had to send the scallops back as they overcooked and just placed on top of a piece of bacon but the manager kindly removed them from the bill. The chateaubriand was passable, but not the best we’ve had. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I think Miller and Carter’s Meat has really gone downhill. It’s like they’ve taken cheap Wetherspoons and put it in a fancy bar. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to skip Miller and Carter for now.

We went for the valentines special and let me tell you this was a Valentines I will remember. This was hands down the BEST steak I’ve ever had. Not only that, but the lobster was DEVINE, the Mac and cheese was GODLY and even the peas and broccoli tasted orgasmic. Lauren was very friendly and attentive, she stuck to her word with the ‘unlimited’ sauces as we took full advantage and had every single favour and even some of them multiple times. (You gotta get your moneys worth) As shown on the photos, there was next to nothing left and I would 100% recommend this to anyone who likes meat. I can’t comment on the desserts as that was consumed back at home but let’s just say this meal set me up well….

What an amazing place! We came here for a family meal last week and i can’t give it any faults. Food was delicious and steak was cooked just how i like it. The service was amazing, i didn’t catch our waitresses name but she is a credit to your team.

I want to start by saying i don’t usually write negative reviews unless I believe they’re needed but i do think constructive criticism in this case would be beneficial. We visited miller and carter on a particularly busy Thursday (as expected the day before valentine’s day.) We were seated and had our order taken within 15 minutes of being at the table which was brilliant, can’t fault the service. However, after being served our starter, (which was delicious), we waited for roughly 1hr 10mins for our mains to come out, 2 8OZ fillets. The wait for me wasn’t a massive issue as I understand what it’s like being in hospitality when it’s a particularly busy night but our steaks were not up to usual standard, which was disappointing. I was served a slightly tough, fatty and generally raggy piece of fillet which was not up to my usual expectation of this restaurant. After visiting multiple times I can say it was probably the worst steak i’ve had there. It was served near enough cold, which i understand having it cooked rare means it’s barely in the pan, but it was on the verge of being sent back, the only reason it wasnt is because i believed i’d waited long enough and by that time i was starving! My partners steak was also tough and served cold when he asked for medium rare, not really an excuse there.. Overall, not a bad visit, starter and desert were delicious, but considering the price and the apparent “expertise” in steak cooking the wait time nor the quality was particularly impressive. Wont be returning for a while.

Our previous two visits were very disappointing, very poor service, steak not cooked correctly but it appears you have taken on board the criticism, I’ve spoken to lots of people who have had similar bad experiences, we probably wouldn’t have visited again but my daughter bought me a gift voucher so we booked a table and I have to admit we enjoyed an excellent dining experience, credit where credit’s due, service was excellent, filet mignon was cooked to perfection, the staff were very friendly and attentive, we left extremely impressed and happy that M&C Parbold is back on top form!

Had the rare treat menu. Really lovely food. Katie was very attentive and really looked after us. Even wished me a happy birthday with my dessert.

Visited here this evening for my boyfriends birthday meal with our 2 children (aged 4 and 8! great menu available for them and portion size was great for both adult and children's meals) , parents and grandmother. Could not fault the food nor the service. Food was delicious and service from the lady who served our table was brilliant. A+++ all round. Thankyou so much for a lovely evening and fabulous food! Also catered to my needs 100%, compliments to the kitchen staff, being dairy intolerant. Will definitely be returning customers! ❤️

10 mins we waited till a staff member approached to then tell us our table wasn’t ready on the Booking Time. 15 mins late we got our table, 30 mins wait for our starters, which then was a total of 45 mins late for first food. 15mins after our main arrived the veg was over cooked and rubbery and the chunky chips were lukewarm. The Lowton one I visited a few years ago ago, way much better, the Parbold one is very worn out with rips and patches in the carpet. Spending £70 was a total disappointment I’m afraid. Was really looking forward to it.

Visited from Australia to see family. Service was amazing. Very cosy with fireplace. Beautiful views out the window. Steak was cooked to Perfection. After eating out for the month this was the our favorite meal and location.

I found this place after trying to get into the Miller & Carter at Lowton (told I needed to book when I had walked into an empty restaurant)! So, decided to head here with my family and so pleased I did. From the moment we entered the door to saying goodbye, we were treated with kindness and respect. Very extensive menu, even if you are not a steak eater, there is something for everyone! Would happily return & recommend!

I was looking forward to coming here after hearing friends and colleagues rave about the onion loaf and the lettuce wedge and when a friend suggested eating here I was more than up for it. I'll start with saying I cannot fault the friendlies of the waitresses who served us, they were attentive, chatty and welcoming, knowledgeable of the menu and gave advice. On a Saturday at 6:30 they didn't look busy but food did take a while to come. Starters came and my scallops lacked that wow factor, for almost £13 I expected it to be tastier with a burst of flavours. They were warm, and didn't caramelise like scallops do when fried. They were soft underneath. I did think they could have done with longer cooking , one scallop looked very pale and to me, some seemed a little undercooked. Nethertheless the bacon added a nice crunch and some saltiness, wasn't a fan of the apple sauce though, I didn't think there would be so much of it. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their starters of; salt and pepper calamari, (which wasn't hot either ) prawn cocktail and sticky wings. The lettuce wedge came, ( garlic mayo and cheese shaving) and I was very underwhelmed, it is just lettuce! You get a massive portion in a small wooden bowl, it falls out as you try to cut it up l. Nothing special, lettuce is lettuce 😂 I didn't understand it, I read something online about it being a palate cleanser? But I just didn't get it at all... Mains followed about 10 minutes later, I had my fillet medium/rare, rare was recommended on the menu and it's a good job I didn't follow this advice as my steak was more on the rare side anyway, like very rare... I didn't send it back and ask for it to be cooked more as it was still ok, the meat wasn't chewy and some parts weren't overly rare so I cut around these bits. Fries were underdone and pale, nothing special, and the onion loaf was disappointing, this was another thing everyone raved about and it just fell flat. Mine was crispy on some end pieces of onion but still soft in places and wet inside?.... Like the onions are sautéed first.... The décor doesn't match the pricing of the food... The seating area I was in had a carpet and it gives Wetherspoon-esque vibes when restaurants do that, that's just my opinion, it doesn't change the taste of the food, but it's about comfort and cleanliness. The tables are bit Wetherspoon-esque.... dated, stab marks from knives indented in them, old ring marks and how old pubs would have them. Maybe tables in other areas have nicer floors and seating? Maybe I just got unlucky. A tray of empty drinks was left out on the window ledge next to our table, only for about 5 minutes but this shouldn't have been left there when the bar is twenty feet or so away. I don't know if Miller and Carter is classed as 'high end ' but for £34 for the steak I had I expect that price be seen on more of the higher end scale of restaurants. I was disappointed with my visit as my expectations were far too high, I can say I've tried it and I've been, I don't want to try any other branches because I feel like it's not just the Parbold one that is like this. Lovely staff, but food not so much on this occasion.

Went here for our 45th wedding anniversary,5th jan,food was great and so was Charlotte,unfortunately I started with stomach cramps and other things the day afterwards,I had fish,so not sure if this is the cause.

My daughter, grandson and myself go here every boxing day and have done for years, we go for meals and for special occasions, I always recommend to people I see and the amazing views.

It is a great place to eat out for special occasions. Always a nice clean and tidy place with lovely staff and fantastic meals.

Heard about this place and how good it was for years,went yesterday and was shocked at how bad it was,the server was quite rude and ignorant,didn't listen,spoke over,when people were ordered,which resulted in wrong things being given when the food arrived,I couldn't eat my food as is was fish in batter,which was raw,the steak my family member ordered aswell done" was so undercooked in parts,and was pure gristle,we wasn't the only ones who wasn't happy with the food,3 other tables sent food back in the time we was there,wouldn't recommend or go back....

We visited Miller and Carter today and I just wanted to say how impressed we were with our server, Eddie! He was so friendly and chatty! His service was effortless and because of this will definitely be returning again.

Absolutely unforgettable evening for my husband’s birthday! I requested a quiet table but didn’t think the table we were given was so quiet, however we were blown away by the service our waitress, Amanda, gave us. She was top notch, friendly, efficient but not intrusive. The food and wine were outstanding. We’ve been many times but this time really did exceed our expectations and we think it was because of Amanda as the food is always great. Thank you Amanda! X

Just left and felt the need to write this review. Firstly, the restaurant was dirty with menus and cutlery just left lay around from the next door diners that had left. Customer service diabolically poor, hygiene of servers left a lot to be desired too. Long haired lad serving food, who needs the chop literally. Iceberg lettuce turned up a good five mins before steak did. When it did the fries weren’t cooked and were cold anyway. Brought this up to miserable waitress, ‘I’ll get you some more’. No apology! Got the bill, then given the wrong bill. Told her it was wrong bill ‘yes it is’, again no apology! Went to speak to manager before we left, looks like he needs a wash and a trim too! Less warm than my fries. £80 for a trip to the toilet immediately after!! Never again, truly awful experience!!!

Absolutely fantastic meal and time during the Christmas break, best meal out in years! Edward (Eddie or Jim) the waiter was brilliant, expert advice on the food and wine every recommendation was spot on and laughs all the way, 100% service, what a guy, whoever owns that place needs to give him a raise and a bonus what a legend!!!

Good: staff, friendly welcome. The add ons such as the great fries, the onion loaf, which was fabulous, the salad bowl and the beef dripping sauce for the steak. Bad: the steak. I had expected, as this was a ‘steakhouse’ it would be very good but it was a terrible disappointment. Thin, (was it even the 8oz as advertised?) dry, slightly ‘chewy’ and I ordered the ribeye, because I find it the juiciest. Frankly, for the price, I expected much, much better.

We came for a family boxing day meal, all our food came together, hot and perfectly cooked. Service was good considering how busy it was. The only thing that left a bit of a negative experience was the excessive cost of our grandson's drinks, he's only 3 and we were charged nearly £6 for 2 very small drinks for him, no need for this level of pricing for children

We visited Miller and Carter to celebrate our daughter Holly's 18th birthday on Friday, 27th December. Our waiter, Eddie, was exceptionally attentive and made our daughter feel so special. He couldn't have been more helpful and he was so friendly and welcoming. The drinks and food were absolutely delicious with an excellent choice of cocktails and steaks. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I always choose to celebrate our anniversary here. With no fanfare but we always get top service and food. However this year our host was Bev and it was exceptionally to have a server with character, knowledge and charisma. Thank you Bev for making the evening just that little bit more special just by being you!
