Miller & Carter in Aberdeen City

The only thing we enjoy led was started squid 🐙 Thank you for taking burned stake back and offered waiting for 20-25 min f9r new one or another option to pay for starter dry fries and go home 😂 we choose home.shame use to be such a brilliant food this year sticky toffee was almost like Xmas pudding taste with ice cream on top,last year was awsome 5+ this year probably kitchen chef changed Fries was so dry for my 3 year old and emidiatly on a table 2 min after order meaning they were dlfar from fresh.they changed it some were still old mixed with fresh fries I couldn't believe it.

There is a reason why this place is always fully booked! It's simply the best steakhouse in Aberdeen. Mains come with salad, fries and sauces, and portions are big. Great wine lists and impeccable service. I even got free dessert for my birthday!

We were here for the second time and we were not disappointed, the service is very nice, they are always attentive, we didn't have to wait long for the food and drinks. The steak was perfect, the cocktails were also. The lady serving was very nice, when she found out that we were celebrating our anniversary, there was a happy anniversary inscription on the dessert plate, and even my partner who didn't ask for dessert got a little surprise. We had a good time, we will go again.

We chose a 2 course meal from the Festive Menu and safe to say the overall experience was outstanding. The Hospitality was an easy 5 stars and the food was exceptional. This was our first time dining here and will not be our last.

Our meal was very good. As someone with Coeliac, I felt that the meal was very safe and that the restaurant staff were knowledgeable and took steps to avoid cross contamination.

Myself and my husband decided to have an impromptu dinner out. The restaurant was lively, but still could accommodate us without a booking. Our server Stuart was so welcoming and friendly. We felt very well taken care of!

Went here as part of our annual sisters' weekend away. We had the festive sharing board and a fillet main with lobster. We were blown away with the quality of food and the number of sides. Well, and truly one of the best meals we have had. We started with pre dinner cocktails and prosecco with our meal. Cocktails were delicious, and prosecco was good quality. We just managed to force ourselves 😆 to have the mini desserts with cocktails to follow. Such a brilliant idea. Staff were so attentive without being over the top. For such an amazing meal, service, and atmosphere, the bill was very reasonable. Would definatley recommend 👌.

Had a lovely meal and evening until the end we ordered drink before heading off to the theatre the man took our order only to return 10 mins later to say no we need the table now we had only been there coming on 1.5 hours we said ok then he was rude when the card machine wouldn't work we then had to go to the bar and pay and the service was not nice

Great food and service but the restaurant is very noisy when busy, difficult to have a conversation. Rory our waiter was excellent

Online booking and communication was awful, my Christmas booking was cancelled as I hadn’t paid a deposit that I had no idea about as I hadn’t received any communication to let me know that this was required. I was informed that emails and voicemails had been sent but never received by me. When re booking the time we had wanted was no longer available unless our party of ten sat back to back in two separate booths. We had to book to go much earlier instead. After I paid my deposit I got communication from miller and carter that was not meant for me, very much a breech in confidentiality. Our festive meal was a bit lack lustre. The service was good but the food wasn’t that great and the portions are quite small. Miller and Carter also take a 10 percent service charge. Saying that the service was good but the food wasn’t below average and I certainly won’t rush back.

Our waiter Rory was very friendly and approachable. The halloumi fries were lovely, very nice atmosphere!

I've been to M&C 4 or 5 times and it was great, but not on this occasion. I ordered a T-bone signature steak medium cooked, as they recommend it. It was blue, certainly not medium. I was not fussed and I was busy chatting so I didn't spot this immediately, I would return it if so. However, I realised at the end that none of the staff came to check during the meal how our food was. I left a small sample piece on the plate and pointed out to the server who cleared our table that the stake was not cooked as requested, I saw them passing the feedback on but again, no one checked back or said anything to us !!!! I felt like a moron as if my feedback was not worth a response. Visit was on Sunday 1st December, table was booked at 8 o'clock. Appreciate it's an overdue feedback, but well, it just made it on my priority list.

Initially the table was not ready, we were forced to sit in a bar area and wait, longer than was excusable. We were then seated for our special occasion meal in a corner, against a window. More akin to McDonalds “booth” than a formal dinning experience. Beside us was a couple who should never have been served alcohol from when they arrived, let alone by the time they served the 8th or 9th order of cocktails. Every customer around had their meal spoiled by what appeared to be the influence of alcohol and drugs. From shouting, falling asleep to them being unable to pay… this certainly was the icing on the cake of spoiling our evening…. Poor supervision and management of a situation that perhaps wasn’t fully your fault but when it developed it was poorly handled for everyone. Had that been the only issue, we could have put it down to “bad luck” or the managers night off, but sadly the food (not our first visit, previously been excellent) was to become the ultimate reason we felt that we won’t return. Our starter was a combination of poorly presented pate and garlic bread, dropped on a plate with 4 over cooked fingers of bread and what was clearly a “slice” of processed catering pate… not exactly an appetising debut to the main event. The kitchen was obviously working to capacity as every table was filled and given we had already had to wait for our table, it was now approaching 9pm…. Much later than we had wished to dine… with what felt like a second service from the kitchen and clearly tired staff. The main was two Sirloin and a Fillet, three extra sides, French fries, potatoes and chunky wedges. Again the presentation was more Wetherspoons than M&C, even then it was barely appetising. All three dishes had clearly sat under a light as each one was cold with a thick “skin” formed on the sauce. The two males were now so fed up of the “drunken entertainment” they just ate the mildly even warm food, all of us just wishing to get out. In particular they both commented on the unidentified “deep fried mass” that sat in its own pool of cold catering frying oil, an undistinguished taste that was only described as some form of left over cooking debris from the fryer! The meat was cooked to the correct request but that’s were it ends. My meal, the fillet, was even colder, the steak wasn’t even warm to the touch, stone cold! A small saucer of mashed potato which was dolloped in and I seriously doubt had ever been heated beyond the “danger zone” temperature! I had explained to the server that I had complicated dietary needs due to poor health, prior to even being seated. I didn’t wish to share the detail of my condition but I explained that I would need some assistance/ flexibility to find a suitable choice. I am unable to take the risk of eating inadequately cooked food, or indeed food that had not been stored or served at the basic safety temperature. I returned my meal having explained this. The replacement arrived…. Having been replaced/ microwaved some 15 minutes later, more than halfway through my companions meals, not really the special celebration meal we had intended when we chose M &C. By this point, our “entertainment” at the next table was divided between one sleeping and the other swearing loudly on his mobile phone, discussing his recent exit from a custodial sentence. Now way beyond the expected point of intervention by restaurant management. The meal was completed by a serving of a tasteless coconut sorbet that was presented in a sundae glass in three balls dropped in….. again let down by presentation or garnish but by this point we just wanted out! We asked for the bill and it did swiftly arrive, incorrect and over charged on at least 4 items. It was sent back and returned wrong again, the waiter failing to grasp the inappropriate items but he announced a discount of £10 from the £162 bill for having served the meal cold. Miller & Carter won’t be troubled by us again, generic franchise style food, save your hard earned money and go to a professional individual established restaurant.

Shout out to Lauren, she helped to make our anniversary one to remember! Been served by her twice now and she’s been a superstar each time.

First time at the one in Aberdeen it’s a nice inviting place felt comfortable right from the off.we were met and seated promptly .all four of us decided to eat from the festive menu, has good options and the steaks are also an option (with a supplement).From starters to dessert the food was very good.Washed down with cocktail option which were also a nice addition.would recommend this place in a heartbeat for a date night or even a low key celebration.Thank you Miller and Carter.

We all have our chosen restaurants and my Mum's number one has to be Miller & Carter Aberdeen. If you are looking for perfection, an ideal slab of steak with an atmosphere to remember, it definitely starts here. I would always advise booking online ahead of time as peak times can book up weeks in advance, it really is that popular. Thank you to Dan who took care of us on my Mum's birthday, making us all feel at home, explaining the menu and advising us on what works best for the perfect steak. Miller and Carter is perfect for any special occasions, date nights or family gatherings with its wide range of steak options, burgers and even offering a main course portion of macaroni for the non steak lovers in your life. Miller & Carter can be quite pricey but it is well worth it: the portion sizes are really generous with lots of extras included with your steak, it would also be rude not to finish off with a creme brûlée which is always a firm favourite. If you are looking for the perfect steak, look no further than M&C. Although we're regular customers I've noticed changes to size and thickness of steaks being served also I'm not the only ones that's noticed this

Absolutely fantastic. Yes a bit pricey but worth every penny. Cheesy garlic bread to die for. Not good on the steak side but our waiter Greig made it so easy. No rush either in getting you out either. Greig was a star from start to finish and his recommendations I could not fault. Always was well done steak person, got me to try medium and got me hooked. The gravy and onion bread to die for. Oh I will be back without a doubt.

The steak was cooked to perfection well done chef all the trimmings were lovely well mayb onion rings instead of the onion? The wedge & dressing was delish 😍 we were sat at a table for 2 which was a bit too close to the serving area but our server Lauren was the most pleasant girl who explained the menu well and her service was exceptional well done Lauren 😍

notHad wanted to try this new restaurant . Visited after seeing Kinky Boots at his majestys theatre. Arrived early but no problems having a table. Friendly and efficient service. Steaks were to die for and cooked to our liking. However we think the iceberg wedge is not needed and veg would he better. Starters and puddings were fine. Overcharged on the bill to start with bit easily fixed! Would definitely come again!!

Miller and Carter has a lovely atmosphere and is a nice restaurant but I had the most awful experience. I would have rated the food highly but I had an issue with my meal today, found an odd looking particle in the meal. I called the attention of one of the waiting staff who offered to replace my meal. This was after she confirmed it was from the brush used to clean the grill. I was going to switch my order but decided to stick with my previous order for the replacement meal. To my utmost shock, I got the same plate of food which was previously taken away and they had taken out the particle. I was under the impression my food was going to be changed. I was almost bullied to taking the old plate. The staff member's attitude to my complaint was very poor as he kept maintaining a defensive stance. While the ambience in Miller and Carter is lovely, I would rate it poorly due to staff attitude which totally ruined my evening.

Rory and team were very accommodating, we arrived early and our table was already set up with a high chair as requested and they had chosen a quite area for us for our little one. They couldn't have been nicer to our baby and even gave her a free small portion of chips to keep her occupied whilst we waited on our food. Outstanding service from all staff. Will definitely be back as this has been the best experience taking our little one out.

Very disappointed 😞 this was our visit to Miller and Carter and may well be our last. Table was booked for 8.30pm there was a lady and gentleman at the desk when we got there didn't really acknowledge us as you would expect. We were then led to a table by the lady who handed us menu's and left us with a beeper which was not explained about a couple next to us arrived and within minutes they had their drinks and taken to their table we were still waiting for a drink let alone our table I had to eventually ask a.member of staff for drinks they eventually came and so did the table. Our Chef guru explained about the menu he was very pleasant our starters arrived they were fine, then the wedge dressing arrived well my husband's was the end of what looked like a cabbage and the parmasan was hard tastless. Steaks arrived cold with cold sauce cold tomatoes 🍅 my steak was grisly and full of fat the steaks looked awful 😖 chips were the only thing hot. The chef guru came and we explained to him who then said he would get the manager. The bar manager arrived and we told him our experience he apologised and could not have been more nicer and helpful he wiped our bill and gave us drinks. So unfortunately was not a great experience for a date night out and not sure we will be back.

Had the most gorgeous meal at the Aberdeen Miller and Carter. We were served by the wonderful Lauren who was so helpful and just a lovely lovely girl. Would thoroughly recommend.

First of all we were very happy with the food and atmosphere at your place, we have visited before, and we are always very happy. This time I also need to give a special feedback. After I came back to my hotel last night I realized that I had lost my necklace. This is a precious necklace and I was afraid it was lost for ever. I stopped by the restaurant today and I was so happy when I found out that you had my necklace. All honor to your very honest personell. Again thank you very much!

The server was Laura and she was super helpful and kind. Really made our night so much better. The food was mostly fantastic, but there was a pretty big tough band of gristle in my ribeye unfortunately. All in all though a great experience.
