Miller & Carter in Kettering

We were looked after by Andrea who went the extra mile to ensure that we were well catered for. She was very helpful when arranging a custom order for my wife and ensured she was totally satisfied with the outcome. Andrea was personable, polite, professional and a good ambassador for not only the restaurant, but the brand overall. The only negative I experienced was that my lobster on the surf and turf was slightly overdone, however, that said, my fillet steak was cooked perfectly and exactly how I like it. One observation for the management team would be that the serving team were understaffed during our visit meaning disproportionate coverage for diners. The knock on effect is that guests were impacted by having to wait longer for assistance leaving Andrea and others to literally run around trying to maintain an adequate level of service. It’s not fair on them and unreasonable for management to expect them to be put in this position, particularly when they tend to be the ones on the receiving end of customer complaints. Thank you Andrea for taking care of us- you’re a real asset to the Kettering restaurant and I hope management realise this.

Had the 2 course meal. Starter was good. The main course of fish & chips not so good. Fish coated in soft batter. Half the chips uncooked. Peas were cold. When we asked about the missing tartare sauce. Waiter replied we have run out. Definitely wont be going back

Really well positioned restaurant for visits to the Holiday Inn next door, the convenience of a walk across the car park for a Steak or Burger is excellent. Food was good with large portions and fast service, atmosphere had a buzz without being loud and Lucy was an excellent, friendly and welcoming waitress, all in all thoroughly recommend

Food was incredible. The fillet steak was the only small let down, but rectified quickly with no fuss. Great meal.

Me and my boyfriend often visit Miller & Carter for a treat every so often. They provide exquisite, fresh food and excellent service. The atmosphere is tranquil and relaxed providing such a balanced dining experience. Our server Lucy made sure to consistently check up on us throughout our meal and was very helpful and polite.

Andrea was very kind, excellent customer service felt very warm and welcome. Different scenery for me tonight and my girlfriend and we both said straight away how lovely Andrea is she honestly made our experience 10X better.

We were treated very nicely and the food was really good, great atmosphere and I couldn’t stop eating what they got me it, it was that good!! came here for my partner’s birthday, we prebooked online and were seated promptly. our waiter eoan was really nice and chatty, as were those who were front of house, and the people who brought our food out for us. the food was absolutely fantastic and was brought out so fast. we had a great experience here and will be returning in future 🫶

We had Christmas day dinner, we arrived at 11.30 the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and full of Christmas spirit. The food was served on hot plates and the portions were good. The atmosphere was great, we are already booking next year. It was definitely worth the money 🎄

Went for a Christmas eve meal, the food was really good, steaks cooked well and tasty accompaniments. Service was top notch even though the place was really busy, overall excellent experience

Just returned home after having their Christmas Menu! I never learn! This was my 6th visit to their local restaurants and the 4th realiy bad experience over two years! The Christmas menu is a fixed four course prepaid meal. The table was roughly 2 feet square and the appetiser/first course was served on oval plates about 15 inches long. The table already had two side plates and a candle decoration, so very little room left on it. Within 2 or 3 minutes from getting that food a very arrogant young waitress demanded that we move the current plates to one side so that she could put our soup bowls on the table. I explained that there wasn’t enough room and she insisted that everything could be juggled to fit. I said NO, but she was very arrogant and insisted. So I asked to speak to the manager who basically just stood there and didn’t say anything. The bread on both grazing/appetiser plates was so dry that neither of us could eat it. The soup was fine. Then the main course arrived - individually. One served about 5 minutes after the other. Then they didn’t bring any cutlery which we had to ask for. Finally the dessert. Again both arrived at different times with quite a gap between them and yet again no cutlery! A young waiter brought two soup spoons so I asked for dessert spoons. There were many empty tables so they can’t say they were too busy. Additionally we both noticed the underside of our dessert plates were very rough to touch and when we turned them over they were both thick with old dried food stains. Clearly the prices they charge are not for good service, and it isn’t for high class food, so what did I get for my £195.00? One the table to my left the lady said she doesn’t normally complain, but felt she had to as their main courses were not very warm. On the table on my right, a couple with a young child were asked to sit at a table barely big enough for two people. They complained also and were moved to a table for 4. Come on management, it’s not rocket science. Either improve your game or get out of it and find a job more suited to you! We won’t be back!

Fantastic service here; I had recently had a bit of a medical scare, which meant that I should only eat very low fat foods. Explained this to the waitress who was amazing alongside the chef in making sure not only that I chose the lowest fat meal but also that it was cooked accordingly. I can not recommend Miller and Carter highly enough. The food was fantastic, and the service was exceptional.

The meal was excellent, only one slight issue which was quickly rectified by our superstar waitress, Andrea. She advised on the menus both food and drink, was professional, but at the same time approachable and friendly. An excellent waitress!

We had the pleasure of dining at Miller & Carter last night and being served by the wonderful Andrea. We shared some wonderful scallops and hot honey wings for starters, followed up with a 30-day aged Fillet and T-Bone, which were both delicious and cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce, bone marrow bernaise, and all the sides complemented the meat perfectly. We had a great evening and hope to go back again soon.

The food is stunning. Christmas cocktails are a must. Lucy was so helpful and on stand-by if we needed anything.

Visited Miller & Carter for a Christmas meal with friends, and we were treated to a lovely experience. We were served by Andrea, who was so friendly and helpful that she even remembered our group from the previous year! My only issue was with the small number of non-meat options on the menu. As a pescatarian, my meal choices were limited. However, those in our group who enjoyed the steaks said they were delicious as always.

Our server seb was very a very happy and attentive guy don’t think he wasn’t smiling at any point, he made sure our experience is what you’d want it to be for the price of the meal, I would like to commend seb for delivering service you don’t usually get anymore in hospitality, the steak was a little undercooked which was dissapointing but seb got that arranged for us in a timely manor where it didn’t ruin our meal.
