Miller & Carter in Kettering

Went for my boyfriends birthday, was a lovely experience and Raymond our waiter was amazing and gave great service- made the meal out so lovely x

Ray was great at taking care of us. Ordered a starter, main and dessert each. Also had a couple of beers and a cocktail. The food was cooked perfectly, the service was a good pace. Lovely experience for our 8th year anniversary

My partner & I came to dinner to celebrate our big house move! What made our dinner a highlight was the lovely Andrea (sorry if that’s spelt wrong). It was a very busy evening but she smashed it & was so friendly! We hope to have her again :)

The food was fine, and service was less so. One drink never turned up, and the waiter seemed a little overawed by the technology he was using to place our order.

Andrea was an excellent waitress and the food was lovely

For a steak restaurant I’d expect the cooks to know how to cook a. Steak to order. Mine was undercooked which is poor. The amount of meat on the brisket mac n cheese was laughable.. not even a tablespoon worth of meat so we sent it back and then the new one has even less… joke of a place. Do not recommend at all.

The service was very good, the starters were lovely and the mains were very good too. The only issue was the bread with my starter and the garlic bread we ordered was very dry.

I think the servers name was Alexa. Not 100% sure but she was a gem. Really sweet. The food was excellent. I think it’s all reasonably priced as you are paying for extremely good food. Definitely recommend for a date, family or just a random day to eat out.

First time here in a long time. Food was great , as was the service. Knowledgeable and helpful staff , quality , well cooked steak , what more could you ask for ... ? Oh , we went for the Butcher's Block sharing platter , was not disappointed with portion sizes or the cooking of our food. Thank you

Julita is so lovely- amazing service and beautiful place.

Had a few issues when coming to this branch. Always seems to be with the waiters/waitresses not the actual food. Been here approximately 10 times. You may ask why return, because if you know Kettering then you will know there are not many decent food establishments. The food isn't the problem. The staff is. My latest trip was on Mother's Day, again wasn't happy but my little girl was so didn't make a fuss. Staff need more training thats for sure.

Skin on sea bass not cooked crispy so my father didn’t enjoy his meal, our steaks were perfect though

Mostly good, food great as.always, service fantastic, but a tired couple after a long day sharing a table next to a rowdy group was not the best experience we’ve had here But we will still return and highly recommend the sticky chipotle chicken starter

Went here for a present venue was ok service was good food not so good. I ordered a 16oz Ribeye medium rare, mine came correct and was very good however the wife ordered a 9oz rump steak medium well. This arrived bloody so was returned. A second steak arrived but unfortunately was over well done and as tough as old boots. So this was not eaten. The management were very good and removed this meal off the bill. So all in all only a mediocre evening

Very nice lunch, we ordered from the lunch menu. Plenty of choice and the steak sauces were particularly good, especially the beef dripping. Andrea served us, very informative about the menu and made us laugh by telling my sons that they had ran out of all the desserts that they wanted 🤣.

Amazing service but cocktails are better in Manchester branch! Our family would definitely recommend fillet over chef's recommended black angus steak 🙌

Amazing service, Julita was absolutely wonderful to have as our server. Food was very quick coming out despite them being busy. Food tasted amazing, definitely the best steak and lamb locally.

The food was unbelievably bland. Scallops tasteless, prawn starter very poor flavour too. The steak which is obviously the main thing you go for also very bland it was weird. It was cooked very well but honestly tasteless. I had filet mignon and my partner had filet and we both agreed my steak I make at home is nicer. One positive though the waiter you have in there Raymond is an incredible bloke and I hope you’s appreciate him. He made the experience much more enjoyable

Amazing lunch time prices nice setting and good service

I dined here for two evenings in a row while staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Express for work. The food was lovely and I was lucky enough to be served by Andrea both times. Her customer service was excellent; when I dined the second time she remembered me from the previous evening and was just as attentive and pleasant as I remembered. If I return to the area I will dine here again and I hope I am fortunate enough to be served by Andrea again.

Changing my review 14/3/24.from the last time. Steak amazing- chefs are still brilliant. Pudding wanst great but meh, can live with that. Service-atmosphere, not what it used to be. Place was a bit dirty, crums on tables, capets and seats, when it was so quiet for like 18:00 on date night.people wearing whatever ,when it used to matter. We felt actually over dressed.service felt rushed.didnt feel special, so disappointed.server was nice an all, but didn't feel the extra mile as you would expect for prices and venue,Plus date night wasnt added to our bill.until mentioned. No greating on entry or leaving.felt like a toby cavery.wasnt reminded to scan app when we did ask at start of the meal. We did speak to Leon the manager as the chocolate bomb was an extra supplement price, which really wasn't worth it, he did take it off. But we didn't feel he listened to our other disappointments appropriately. As nothing would probably change.Whilst we aren't saying anyone was rude, as they certainly wasn't.just wasn't in any way special this time. When we spend an hour on our one day off to get there. I've been coming to only Miller and carter for over ten years. Either here or bedford and this time, is the first I've been disappointed. Yes may not matter or a meh to whomever reading this. But it was an important evening out for us. I don't expect a response,if only a generic reply.

Not very good value for the money, ordered 1/2 rack of ribs got 4 bones on the ribs so you can imagine how much meat was on there, also no coleslaw not offered an alternative

We have been a few times before and the one thing that has attracted us previously is the quality of the steaks. We believe we should not be paying for something we can do better ourselves unfortunately today this was not the case

Food and staff were great. Decor looking tired, seat pads were a little uncomfortable.

Rip off prices, overly salty food and pathetic sized portions. Waiting staff were, polite and friendly however the manager was rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend to my worst enemy!

Been to Miller and Carter many many times and this experience was by far the worse. Our server Raymond was spot on. Top marks to him. Ordered dirty burger which comes with beef patty, beef barbocoa, , steak , lettuce, cheese and tomato. The beef barbocoa was near enough missing wasn’t even a spoonful, lettuce was non existent the smallest bit. Burger was overdone and chewy. Very below par compared to previous visits

Our hostess Andrea was fantastic! Recommendation’s from wine to steak to which I ordered and can confirm it was delicious. We will be back for food AND the service we had.

The food was really good apart from the lettuce. We all feel that the lettuce in a bowl is gimmicky. A mixed salad would be a lot tastier option. Our waitress was really good.

Service was slow. The lady serving seemed to have too many tables to service. The restaurant needs a good clean. All the chairs need recovering as every one was dirty. The toilets were filthy. Our sharing steak was nice but all the sides were cold. We were given extra drinks because of this. We declined deserts as we had been there a long time by then. As a premium steak house you need to do a lot better.

We had a really lovely meal for my husband's birthday. Being a family of 5 (5 year old and twin 15 month olds) it's not always the easiest when we're out. Andrea our server was fantastic! Addressing the kids by their names and interacting with them making them feel included and making our overall experience a great one. The food was amazing and Andrea arranged a Happy birthday board for my husband. Thank you for helping make our day a lovely one. ☺️
