Headed to the Colchester branch, was taken care of by Phoebe and the amazing team! I am blown away and just felt like I was at home really!! Super personable, helpful & efficient! Honestly Phoebe gave restaurant manager vibes and is BRILLIANT in the client facing positions! I run events and would request Phoebe as my venue liaison if I were to book out Miller & Carter! It’s giving promotion!! Looking forward to returning! P.S. thank you for making my mum’s birthday extra special!

We chose a variety of steaks and ribs, which were delicious. Dessert was amazing, as we had creme proule and brownies. The service by the server Ayu was excellent as she made sure our food was served warm and on time.

Miller and Carter is my favourite steak house by far. The food and the services are another lever. Pavel and Nico are the best working guys in there. Always nice, always making sure everything is going on alright and we’re enjoying ourselves. 5 star service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a great time here celebrating my grannies 86th birthday. Our server Ayu made our evening, being so patient with my grandparents, constantly checking on us and overall being the perfect waitress.

Haven’t been here in a while and was greeted by a warm welcome by Ayu who looked after us all night and even went above and beyond to look after us when we was seated by the air con which was too cold for us, she moved us further away without any issues and kept checking on us all night

Emily was our waitress and she was very lovely and sweet. Would recommend going especially if she’s working

Honestly felt so welcome , came in quite late so was worried was going to be rushed, however Sineade made us feel like we could be there for as long as we need! Quick service and it’s obvious she knew the menu inside and out, will definitely be coming back, thank you to Sineade

Always get great service & a well cooked steak here. On a Thursday you can get a fillet steak, starter & dessert for just over £40.

Came last night for dinner with hubby. We were served by Lisa. She made us feel comfortable and had what we needed. She was super friendly and didn't rush us (so we could actually enjoy our dinner) atmosphere was buzzing and the food was 10/10 as always

Craving for steak and crunchy chips? Then have a meal here and you won’t be disappointed. Lovely customer service. Love the ambiance too. We actually prefer this branch to the one in Ipswich coz they got bigger space and not too cramped.

The website menu options don't reflect the in house menu especially for the mains. So there was only 1 chicken dish instead of 3 or 4.

We have always come here for many occasions, however, yesterday was the only time the Ribeye steak was well below par- fatty and thin. I sent it back to receive a slightly better cut! Not worth £33. As the last visit we had I ordered ribeye and it was perfect!!! Maybe I was unlucky- I even was asked if I would like a drink why I was waiting for my replacement meal- that was charged to my bill! Will consider my options next time.

Average at best! I visited for the first time with my 3 kids and wasn't overly impresses with the food or the service. Although the guy looking after us was very polite, there was little to no attention to the small details... For example: My sons plate was dirty, my steak knife was damaged and not once did anyone come over and ask if the food and or we were OK. I don't recall being asked if wanted any sauces for sides either. When I asked for Orange cordial, we got orange juice with a very large price tag, the same for for shandy, £6.00+ is a joke. It was hard to judge the atmosphere given the time of day but, my kids enjoyed themselves. Overall, it's overpriced for the quality of the service and middle of the road food. I don't think we'd rush to go back.

The steaks are excellent. Alcohol free drinks way too weak. The atmosphere is like a warehouse, with noisy tables dominating the vibe. The lettuce wedge is fantastic! Will go back as my friends love it, but it is very expensive - £122 for 2 people, no wine, no alcohol, no pudding, no extras.

-Food was Amazing -Steak cooked perfectly -Great Service Came for dinner on a Wednesday as didn't want to cook. Restraunt had great atmosphere even for midweek. Sat immediately and service was quick. Fabio was very attentive but not invasive. Had a lovely evening and will definitely be back!

The only thing that I can say that was good is that the small steak I had was nice and our waitress was pleasant. but I personally wouldn't go back, as was the opinion of the person I went with. we both agreed that the food wasn't as good as many other meals that we have had. I personally was taken aback by the insisted addition to my meal., which when it arrived was badly presented. All it was a cabbage that had been cut into four, one of which was put into a bowl in its entirety, no effort had been made to break it up and it had a smear of crumbled blue cheese and mildly tasting blue cheese source which manly tasted of salad cream. With the steak was a block of very greasy onion, which I didn't eat and surprisingly there were no roast potatoes to go with the steak, I ended up with mashed potato. The one thing that really put me out was that before I could book I had to agree to your very clearly laid out dress code. It was my birthday and I wouldn't normally put a suit on with all the other stuff that goes with a suit. When we got into the restaurant there were hardly anybody else dressed formally, In fact one customer looked like he'd just come off a building site. Baseball cap and all. I could easily have gone for the meal as I would normally dress and nothing would have been said and I'd have been much more comfortable in a T shirt, jeans and cheap trainers. Frankly I wouldn't go back again. Since writing this. I've had a response from one of the management. In this response, there are the usual platitudes. Apologies, ect. I, not we, I have been offered a return visit so that I would have the supposed real experience they profess to give. Not that I was wanting a refund particularly. But no offer of one was made. The offer that was made seemed to come down to that I go back and try again at my own expense. Well, seeing as the entire experience was a literal waist of money and time and I have no intention of buying another small, substandard meal, where I have to dress up for the honor. Unfortunately, the offer gets a hard pass.

Phoebe was the best server. Funny and engaging and gave good advice about the food choices.

Delicious!!! I Spent my 32nd birthday here. Great location, food was delicious. I had a buttermilk fried chicken burger, served with crispy bacon (my fav) which came with a few sides, coleslaw and french fries. A stunning "happy birthday" pudding served with a candle. Great service. We had been served by two amazing weiters Fabio and the waitress with Asiatic features. Thank you. Surely we will come back. I certainly recommend it. 🤩🥳
