Food was alright but the service was so slow. Took over a hour just for the drinks to get served.

We ordered a vegan Bahn Mi and Dirty Chai. The Dirty Chai was amazing and loved the Bahn Mi too. Only comment I would say is it took a while for the food to come out, but I would say we visited during peak business time. Loved the vibes here though.

The coffee shop for when you’re nostalgic about past travels through Asia. Simple. Relaxed. Fantastic banh mi. Can’t get enough of their dirty chai.

Visiting Brighton for a pre-Christmas break and found this brilliant place via Google. We visited Vietnam this year and loved the food - make no mistake - this restaurant is as authentic as it gets. Atmosphere is vibrant, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. An unexpected treat and highly recommended by us. Good, honest Viet Cooking.

Very tasty pho! Would recommend getting a large size as this felt like a standard pho size. Really yummy and fresh.

Friendly and comfortable atmosphere, large enough floorspace to be baby friendly for our large pram. Pho with beef was delicious and we also ordered vegan Banh mi and some mochi. The kind of place you could easily become a regular, go for casual work lunch or a special get together meal with friends. We also loved the music 🎶 I felt I was back in Vietnam.

Been waiting to try this for months. The food was fine but not super impressive (not expecting it to be a ceiling level anyways). Overall not bad, quite average. However, the service actually made me not considering to visit in future. The guy was fine but the female waitress doesn’t seem to be welcoming and friendly. Price wise were actually quite fair. And what I like about is there’s a choice for the size of Pho from mini to XL which is quite interesting!

Ive had pho in alot of places but this is one of the best. Generous portion and amazong flavour. Orderd beef, pork and chicken. Cant wait to try more

One of the nicest, creamiest caramel iced lattes I've had and the man who served me had the biggest warmest smile on his face. Will definitely be back to try the food. It looks yummy!

Must visit for the banh mi (sandwich) and I love a good bowl of pho. The pho served here is in the style of North Vietnam so the ingredients are slightly different but tastes delicious nonetheless. They don’t have an Instagram account and they could really do with redevelopment inside the restaurant but the outdoor seats are practical weather permitting.

Since changing from an English cuisine cafe to Vietnamese it is so much tastier! The chef is serious about his work, taking his time to get the details right. The food is wholesome and delicious. It is not too expensive, and I especially appreciate that there are lots of different portion sizes depending how hungry you are or how much you have to spend. Really useful because it gives you the option of going for a light weekday lunch or a more substantial dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

Popped in for lunch with some friends after craving Pho! We ordered summer rolls & salad to share, and a bowl of Pho each — everything tasted lovely, fresh & home-cooked and I liked the option to add prawns/salmon as well as vegan options. Overall a nice little spot for a casual bite :)

I visited with colleagues at lunch time and it was heaving (even on a Wednesday!). I ordered the vegan curry which was tofu based which cost £5.50. The food came really promptly, and was so tasty. The flavours were well balanced, and there was a good serving of tofu which was nice to see. I found there was a little too much rice but that’s just my personal preference. It was a really decent portion for the price. The staff were friendly, accommodating and quick to serve. The only thing I would say is the menu is written on a black board and it’s not the clearest thing to read - I did get a bit confused about what dishes were starters/mains and what toppings were available. Perhaps menus on tables would be better. I would definitely come here again for a tasty meal on a budget.

Rating purely the Vietnamese iced coffee I had! Utterly delicious my go to place for coffee when in Brighton you cannot go wrong with it!

I got the tofu banh mi with spicy sauce and tofu summer rolls. My boyfriend got pho. Everything was so good and decently priced. Service does take a bit long so I don’t recommend if you want a quick bite. The tofu banh mi could have more sauce or filling. But their pho (not pictured) is amazing!

Good atmosphere. Spring rolls were overly deep fried. The Pho was very bland compared to what I've tasted in Vietnam. They may have been understaffed as I need to clean my own table before I could use it. Table next to me had to clear away plates from customers who had previously left.

The place was empty as we got there around 5:30 pm as we were going to a gig. Ordered x2 starters ( gyozas and summer rolls) summer rolls never came. Then we ordered x2 curres- bland and gelatinous. These two words you'd never associate with Vietnamese food. Both staff working, had zero interest in us,nor did they ask how our food was either. Such an underwhelming experience despite us being the only people in there. No excuse for being busy or preoccupied. Wished we'd gone to Oshio further down trafalgar Street instead. Such a limited menu, that it's astounding that he can be so unbelievably rubbish.

Need me sum sugar in that tea mate, carnt be deelin with no sugar!

Had this beautiful bowl of beef brisket + tofu pho. Ordered a large which was indeed large, but drained the entire bowl anyway :)

Very rude, just made a hand sign to me to say a 25 min wait, annoyed for me just asking a question about if takeout is an option. So stressed to make food at lunchtime on a Friday even though literally what you're business is about. Will not come back.

Finally got around to finding this place today. Have been to Vietnam a few times and the food from here is equally delicious. Have attempted Vietnamese cooking myself and now realise how second rate I am compared to how these guys do it.

Hands down the best pho I've had. Awesome coffee and great ambiance as well. Definitely the no. 1 spot of you've got a hankering for good Vietnamese food in Brighton.

I love Milk No Sugar. Their Pho is so tasty and fresh. All there food leaves you feeling refreshed, energised and healthy. Nice broth, fresh veggies, noodles and good meat. They do salt and pepper 🌶 squid and summer rolls which are also really nice. My partner had the Banhi Mi which she said was very tasty. I saw people ordering the curry which also looks very good. The staff are nice, polite and friendly. I would recommend this place for a delicious Vietnamese lunch with friends.

Food and ambiance is always excellent, whenever we are In Brighton we head here for lunch and the food and coffee is always exceptional. Be prepared to wait as it is all hand made and freshly prepared but is def worth the wait. Is also a great place to sit and work on a laptop.

This place needs to be shut down, the owner is completely unhinged. Just look at the way they respond to negative reviews. Horrible abusive people who don’t deserve to be running a business.

Had a craving for an authentic decent Banh Mi and this cute little place did not disappoint! Pork with spicy sauce and the hidden pate was delicious. Vietnamese filter coffee on the side and my lunch was complete. Nice cosy restaurant in the North Laines.

I've spent a lot of time in Vietnam and the Vietnamese coffee, Pho, summer rolls and Bahn Mi here are easily on par with what I have had in Vietnam. The staff are really nice, and I had a good chat with one of the owners. The ambiance in the restaurant is perfect, I felt I was in Vietnam again. Milk No Sugar is now in my goto list for whenever I need a bahn mi and proper Vietnamese coffee.

Food is decent and tasty. Friendly staff. The place needs a good clean. The floor was very dirty. The chairs were stained and sticky. The sauce bottles need wiping as they are greasy. I went to the toilet and it was very dirty, spider webs in various places and it looked like it hadn't been scrubbed for a long while.

We ordered vegetable spring roll, Chicken and Beef Pho. The spring rolls were pricey for the little quantity and taste was alright. Nothing too special. But the pho was AMAZING. It had such a homely feel to it. The good part was you can order as per the size you prefer. I tried the rice pot too but didn’t like it as much. Do pay a visit if you enjoy pho. Usually their chicken is not halal but this batch was. Please do check with them before ordering if their chicken is halal or not. Will definitely go back for the Pho!🍲❤️

Me and my sister travelled all the way from London to dine there We went in the summer and had to go again in December. They have amazing vegetarian option I loves the curry!!!! The only thing I would recommend is please 🙏 get rid of these spiders in the bathroom The place could do with some cleaning up. It is abit dusty .other than that I couldn't recommend enough

Me and my brother came for a little snack , I had the pork goyzas and they were brilliant and my brother had a hot chocolate. Service was friendly , food came fast and overall a good experienc. Definitely come back but more a more substantial meal. Highly recommend👍

My day started, a quite Friday morning but felt like a Monday! The birds were chirping children playing, a trip to milk no sugar was in order. Bloody lovely it was. I was feeling slightly under the weather as we approached the doors but one sip of beverage restored me to full power. The food had a bit of a kick but the bowls were empty MORE we said. We rejoiced just so yummy. A burped with excitement Great food, great laugh, great vibe, great staff, brilliant company. A toast to milk no sugar, sorry love I'm sweet enough 5/5*

Best pho in the town. Really tasty, but flies inside the cafe are off-putting. I will still buy from there but for take away probably.

Came in for a work friend's leaving Dinner we had made a booking for ten people then realised we had 5 extra, not an issue 😍. they put in every effort to accommodate us all then made us all a fantastic dinner with many dietary requirements. Definitely worth a visit small space so nice for an intimate dinner but group friendly . Will come again

This cafe is such a hidden gem. The banh mi (get the pate as an extra) is really fresh and tasty but the Pho is my favourite, the broth is aromatic and perfect, it’s so tasty and it just feels like a hug in bowl. Staff are friendly, service is quick and prices are reasonable. Don’t be put off by the paired back, industrial style decor this cafe is well worth a visit.

Very simple good food .A M size dish would have been enough for a big man like me. I had a L though and finished it :-)

Stepped out of the restaurant an hour ago and felt the need to share my review right away. Ambience/Cutlery : The bathroom is a real mess, toilet papers strewn around. The dining tables are also surrounded by dirt. We were served two bowls which we had to clean heavily with our tissues. Food : Prawn crackers genuinely lack the prawn flavor. Having had prawn crackers in so many places, the ones served were no match to anything. They should just be called "crackers". Chicken wings were fine but one could immediately say they were not fresh. The chicken rice bowl was another big disaster, there was too much of salt. Despite mixing well, we found chunks of salt. The rice was sticky as well. The whole time I wondered how is this place rated 4+ stars and I was just waiting to get out.

as a Vietnamese, I encourage you to try the pork sandwich, which tastes pretty close to my hometown. Coriander is the key material for its flavor. Hope to have more traditional Vietnam sandwich flavors like crispy roasted pork, or beef with black pepper sauce sandwich in the near future..

Food was great but the service was so so so slow. We waited 30mins to have food on the table. It will definitely encourage more customers if their service speed could improve.

We used to come to this little gem when we lived in Brighgon 3 years ago and it is still exactly how I remember it : authentic Vietnamese food, amazing service and really good value of food. Thank you for always putting superb effort in your food. We will always recommend your place to our friends and our Brighton visit is never complete without visiting Milk No Sugar! Thank you for accomodating a big group like us and for making sure we are all satisfied with the food. My kids are picky with veggies in their pho and the staff were all very nice in making sure we are all happy with the food. I also found a new fave, Vietnamese coffee!!! Thank you again!

The food was nice but simple. We both ordered the pork, rice & hoysin sauce. The only complaint about the dish is that you do not receive much meat with the rice. The slices of pork are razor thin and act more like a topping on the rice. Once you’ve eaten past the top all you’re left with is rice. Not really worth paying £8 for rice. Will not return out of principal for what you actually get.

Amazing food - tasty, fresh and light. Doesn't feel like a takeaway, more like eating at somebodies house. Friendly staff, informal setting. Some of the best Vietnamese food i have eaten in the UK.
