Since my previous post, this cafe has closed down. There is no indication as to whether it has moved to a different premises or has permanently ceased doing business.

So creamy and comes with great bread. Milestone - a cornerstone in the Sheen indie café culture. Love the ambiance. I only wish the opening times would stretch longer into the evening.

I am a frequent visitor now. Everyone is good. Extremely nice, efficient staff. Daily specials invariably imaginative and better than most retsurants of this type. Excellent coffee, and good selection of interesting cakes. Worth a detour

The Milestone cafe is a well known and highly regarded local cafe/restaurant, family run and with helpful and engaging staff.Great coffee, a varied daily specials menu and well produced standards make this a popular weekend stop off for those heading to Richmond Park (Full English Breakfasts and Eggs Benedict are both superb!) as much as a weekday haven for School Run Mums, leisurely lunchers and afternoon wanderers. If you're looking for a friendly welcome, good food and a change from the ubiquitous chains, this is well worth a try.

A good café with a couple of caveats. The best thing on the menu was the Salad Nicoise which included a really good fresh tuna steak. For some reason this has been deleted and nothing as good added to the menu to replace it. Also there seems to have been a lot of price increases lately. Far more so than other neighbouring cafes. I've noticed 3/4 price hikes in the course of the last few months. It could soon price itself out of the market.

Lovely little cafe in East Sheen which is brimming with young families and buggies. The breakfast are great and the staff are friendly. I remember going a couple of years ago and the menu staunchly stated that breakfast were non-negotiable in what you received which has since improved. The quality is good and the lunch menu looks tasty too. The small breakfast is a great size for me but there’s plenty of choice and it’s only a short walk from the famous Richmond Park if you wish to walk it off after!

I have had breakfast here a number of times and the food is always excellent. The staff are really friendly and always welcome you with a smile. The only problem is that the cafe is quite small and it can sometimes be difficult to get a seat. Having said this their takeaway bacon baguettes are lovely too!

My spouse and I often frequent this place, it's truly the gem of Sheen. You have all the standard coffee shops - the Nero, the Costa, but Milestone is a fabulous niche coffee place. Lovely and cosy inside - a real atmosphere, lovely different furniture, cushions, so homely. When we've been there we've had the fry ups - agree with the comments below, it's great! They always make me a healthier version of the full english e.g. with poached egg, more veggies instead of sausages. We've also had the other food e.g. the burgers, the quiche (really recommend this, had a great trout one and comes with lots of different salads). The best thing though - the hangover juices! Their fresh juices are the best and 'The Hangover Juice' which is carrot, ginger and some other stuff is so good. Hits the spot.Only problem is - we get nervy every time we go there as always worried there won't be seats available! Amaze.

Since under new management this is a real find. Wonderful to go somewhere that's not a chain, it feels well thought out and personal. Delicious food and cakes to die for, charming staff and an owner who takes time to talk to her customers.

This local cafe, in the centre of Sheen, has recently come under new management. It's a lovely place to go for elevenses. There is excellent coffee and fresh pastries, and a variety of cooked breakfasts to cater for all diets. The lunchtime menu offers daily specials, as well as a regular menu, and it is never boring. The cafe is not open in the evenings, but has a license for wine, which can be bought by the glass. It is so popular that it is sometimes difficult to get a seat, though there are a couple of seats outside. The new owner is often to hand, and is working hard to make this a thriving business, so don't be surprised if you are asked to give an opinion on a new dish. Elaine, and the rest of the staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful.

Delicatessen Very expensive, double the price of others in London. Bought loads of things, one week later went to another Portuguese delicatessen, that's when I realised the difference in price.

Made the mistake of going into a cafe where there were no other customers. I think I now know why. Visited the premises in the Square. Latte and croissant, paid immediately by card, lukewarm coffee, stale croissant then on leaving was accused of not paying. They made a check of their records and voila, it seems I had. Quite embarrassing and won’t be back.
