Rude staff and not a welcoming experience. Lack of smile, doing service as if someone is forcing them to do. Basically absence of customer service!!

Usually visit this place to get their tasty samosas. It’s had been a while since last visit. So, visited with2 friends- Friday 2/8/24. Extremely rude customer service. Wanted to have tea and snacks there after shopping. But were informed closed for cleaning. had to plead for atleast cup of tea while we waited to pack take away order as we were tired. There was no cleaning happening and due for reopening again anyway. They obliged but with reluctance. It was hot day for us all but the guy serving kept moaning and anything we enquired about food - response was tone of rudeness and mockery. Food - samosas and daal vada were not tasting fresh at all, khandvi and jalebi were ok. It’s was a disappointing experience overall .

I love the vegetable somosas from this place, they fry fresh to order, absolutely yummy somosas.

Great Indian vegetarian only restaurant - family run - great food - does not disappoint - amazing stuff - timely service - you can also buy mithia and other snacks - small quaint space to sit - always a gem

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. The man behind the counter - the one with a moustache- was rude to my elderly granddad and has no respect. My grandad simply asked if anyone else was available to serve as it was busy and only one person was serving and he rudely said “are you blind can you not see it’s just me?” I will personally be speaking to the manager and going down there to give them a piece of my mind because this is just out of line. This place has no respect for the elderly let alone for its customer. Not to mention that the food isn’t even all that. You guys need to learn basic manners before operating a business, it’s disgusting. Clearly shows that you were not raised right and lack basic morals and values. Such people like this should not be running a business let alone be interacting with customers. I will also be complaining to soho Bid about this because it is disgusting.

They provide something else in the place of bhature and while complaining they behave roudly and said do whatever you can, disgusting never buy from here I don't think they deserve one star as well they don't have manner to talk with customer as well

Absolutely pathetic food and terrible customer service I wish I could have given Triple ZERO (000). Absolutely Terrible Food and Shameful Customer service. The guy with ROUND MOUSTACHE was : 1. VERY VERY VERY RUDE - He had even looked my 5 year old son angrily, just because he was playing with a toy. My son got scared of him 2. Upon asking for Fresh Bhatura as it was totally STALE and hard to bite ( pls see picture ) , this guy arrogantly replied : Milan Sweet is proudly serving STALE Bhatura for last 40 years and they only make fresh Bhatura in early morning. 3. The Pani Puri was an absolute distaste and upon even asking a lil Extra Paani , The Round Moustache replied in a weird manner saying : I won’t give you extra. What a disgust to their customer service . 4. My son asked for Normal water : they totally declined I would never ever go such places. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID They MUST learn Customer service . VERY BAD EXPERIENCE IN SOHO ROAD , Birmingham

After many years, I felt I had to finally review this place. So a quick history of my family, we emigrated from Kenya to England in 1973 when Idi Amin was up to no good in Uganda. Proud working class with aspirations. We eat the same food as cooked here and I've been eating Milans food since the 80's. It's excellent. Try it really especially if you're vegetarian

Omg peoples serving need to have it of curtesy, smile and be pleasant. I understand they were busy but every customer is paying customer. Why don't they employ more staff. Typical. No consideration for public. Toilets very dirty disgusting 🫣 will not be going back again. They need to learn fro staff at suraja. Brilliant. Service with smile and clean

Very nice food fresh and very nice staff

Food was a bit dry but eadible. But customer service was the worst, not even a proper greeting or smile from the guy who served. And he was quite rude too. Ive been milan couple of years back, and it was good then. But not sure whats happened now, whether management has changed or success just got to their head

The worst place to eat in and takeaway. Staff were too busy on their phones to serve us. Ordered sholay pothre which were heated in the microwave and not even freshly cooked. We ordered the masala dosa which wasn’t freshly prepared either and the potatoes were heated in the microwave which caused it to be dry as anything too then just wrapped in the dosa. I also ordered some dokhla to take home and it was the driest thing ever with no taste at all so hard to even swallow.

PLEASE BECAFUL THEY DONT GIVE PRINTED RECEIPTS AND CNARGE EXTRA!!! they give you the total. NOT BY ITEMS!! I ASKED FOR written receipt not given me it. She OVER CHARGED ME!!! WHEN calculate the price. STAFF WAS VERY RUDE PLEASE CHECK SO BAD.

Great place to get freshly made samosas, aloo Tikkas, and many more Asian savoury starters. They also do so many more options for Asian sweets (Mitai). They have a indoor seating area to those who want to eat in. Hit an miss when they are cleaned, but just ask for a wipe down before you sit. There’s no parking, just street parking.

Never heard of a place where takeout costs more than eat in!! But this place does that and when I ask why...i get a "it just is" The service is worse than the pricing strategy. The guy that served us was less than helpful and wasn't concerned about the customer in any way. I guess success has gone to this businesses head and they can do what they want. Good luck in your future sales

Not very happy with our visit here.. visited at a not- so- busy hour so got seating.. but there are only few tables available.. biggest disappointment was the taste of food.. we ordered samosa, daal, plain dosa, aloo tikki chaat, mango shake, gobhi paratha & some sweets....out of all these, only the chaat was good & mango shake was ok.. there was no taste of gobhi in the gobhi paratha..samosa was too crispy & filling was not good enough.. dosa was also too hard & crispy all over & quite small in size as well.. unfortunately wont be going back again.. did expect the food to be lot better than this so obviously disappointed ..

In short, third-class food, service, and atmosphere.

Idli sambar- Idli was nice but sambar needs some taste improvement especially for Indian folks Lassi- One of the amazing lassis I have had in Birmingham. Definitely must try! Saag paneer with roti- Bland but good. Roti were nice!

I have been to milans a few times and never been disspointed... today I brought Dhokla I'm not sure if it was stale or just made like that.. there was no taste but to top it off it looked like it had been thrown in to the box and there was a hair in it about 2 inch long.... I'm really disspointed did not expect from milans...

Best somosas ever, expensive but who cares for great food

If you’re in Indian, please don’t go. Had the worst pan bhaji ever. They literally have burger buns instead of pav. Like crazy!!!

The jalebi's here are just very sweet to the point its edible. The girl server doesn't understand the concept of wear disposable gloves, did everything with them on her hands. Really?

The best sweet centre in Birmingham! The samosas and curries here are amazingly tasty and the prices are decent. Every time I’m on Soho Road I return to get some delicious food!

I normally sometimes order food from here but today we ordered aaloo parantha x8. There was no potatoes in it. It was not an aaloo parontha by any count I’m afraid

Spectacular Shreekhand and nice taste overall but hardly any space to sit compared to the crowd.

Really enjoyed the mithai. Some places the sweets don’t taste as good, but these were really good. We got a box of 9 sweets for just over £5. We didn’t try the other savoury foods, but it all looked very good so will try next time.
