Mikes Chippy in Eastleigh

Fish n chips £10 . No wait only fish delivered!!! Do not use this place ( excuse the pun) obviously alot of1 star reviews recently! Maybe going under and cash grabbing? Only use if picking up your order is all i can recommend. Cheaper to buy a rod and go fishing and buy potatoes!

As an LGV Driver and parked in a lay by this was probably the easiest order anywhere in the country, Food was outstanding and really great service

Said was delivering on uber eats. Ordered dinner for my family, over an hour went by still not delivered as delivery guys waiting for order to collect but nothing. Cannot call as number not recognised. Awful service. Do not buy from here!!!!!!!!

First time there and won’t go back. My husband could eat more than half a dozen chips as we’re soo over salted. Not edible in our opinion. Expensive and poor quality. Would not recommend.

Changed hands Lots of staff mulling around The "chef" took the smallest piece of cod out of the fridge and preceeded to squash it flat with bare hands before frying. I ordered a large but upon weighing it, it was just over 3 oz. Don't go. Poor service. Poor food. Expensive

Since changing hands there is no friendliness or atmosphere like before when I used to go there talking in their own language how rude and there isn't a crowd anymore like before food not as as good as when the man and his wife run it

Came here not to long ago, I asked for ketchup in both my burger and my mates burgers, both got some Siracha hot sauce, I had no mouth left. Furthermore, i asked for chips with salt and vinegar, and I wasn't surprised when I only had one chip salted. Thanks.

Kebab meat was utterly burnt, Cod was dripping in loads of oil, Chips were soggy. Definitely can find better food from a different chip shop.

First time used this place a few months ago and you could smell the rancid oil from outside, but we were in a hurry and bought fish and chips. Inside the batter the fish looked like reconstitued fish and the chips were not fresh. Probably been sitting for a while or warmed up. It all went in the bin. Wish I'd taken a photo of it at the time. Will never go there again!

I’m delighted to say that this is the absolute BEST chip shop down south. Mikes Chippy, in Derby Road, have great standards to their cleanliness & they respect there customers. You can grab literally anything you want and will feed your entire family, and more! I have always been very picky with food, and may I say, I eat from here every week! Friendly staff & great customer service! 100% recommend!!

The menu i find it really good its kept nice and simple but you still have alot of options. For anyone who tries mikes chippy i cannot rate the chicken burgers enough,eventhough its primarly a fish and chip shop,his burgers just taste fantastic. Really the quality of the food is really worth the cheap prices. I beleive it about £2 for a large chips,and theres alot of chips so the low price is definitely worth it. The waiting time for this outstanding food it really quick i go there at least once a week and sontimes ill order food for my brother as well as me which i will say,i can tend to order alot but whatever i order mike always says it will take 5 minutes or the most ive waited for is 10 minutes which is really good waiting time bearing in mind there were alot of people ahead of me. I went to a restraunt once and there were only two or three other customers in that restraunt and i waited around an hour and a half for a starter but mike can get me two large chips,a large haddock fish and a burger in about 10 minutes max. All thats left to say is this place is an incredible place to take some food home and enjoy it,i cant recomend it enough and i hope you enjoy the great food thats there.

Haven't been here before. Last minute Deliveroo option. Food delivered in good time, hot, generous with the chips, fish & sausage in crispy batter. Couldn't fault.....😋

Went to this chip shop tonight and the food was lovely, fresh and tasty and everything was really hot.

We used to be always pleased with our meals from here but the past couple of times we have been very disappointed. The chips have been soggy and grease soaked as if they had been left over from the lunch time and warmed up for the next session.Although the batter on the fish is lovely the fish itself is tough and rather dry. Such a shame as we used to look forward to a chippy tea.

This chip shop is fab. I live nearby and have used it since the present owner took over the business. I have just asked her why she hasn't responded to comments on here. The reason being, she had no idea that her business was on trip adviser and is unable to respond as she doesn't have an account. I asked about milk in the batter and the answer is no. The batter is made with water. My advice would be to pop in and have a chat and I'm sure they will do their best to meet dietary needs if they can... Now to finnish eating my pukka pie & chips 👍

We use this chip shop regularly and the food is always fresh and cooked perfectly! No matter what we order it's delicious, it's the best chip shop and we have tried all of them locally! Staff are so friendly and service is fab!

Having come to the area from the coast a few years ago finding a decent chippy has been a struggle. Then a friend of my wife steered us to Mike's Chippy on Derby Road and we've never looked back. Great fresh cooked food and the friendliest staff who make the whole experience personal and more like a catch up with friends than a take away purchase. Like good chips go here...... simples.

I’ve only been coming to this Chippy for just under a year now...I promise I can tell any of you now that this Chippy shop has the BEST food me and my family, AND my friends have EVER had! My mum has been struggling to find the perfect cod and this is the best place to go! Especially for people who are a fan of kebabs, burgers, gravy, spam fritters, and much more! They have such FRIENDLY, KIND, POLITE, AMAZING members of staff. The customer service is outstanding and I would LOVE to order from here for special occasions me and my family have! The WONDERFUL YOUNG LADY always has a smile on her face even on a rainy day! THANK YOU SO SO much for the food! It is amazing and I would personally recommend this Chippy to anyone!

have been here a few times before,never had a problem with the staff or the service,had cheesy chips,portion was a very good size and reasonably priced at 3.95

Staff are incredibly rude. No people skills what so ever. Straight up s**te. Would not recommend unless you want to be spoken to like rubbish

This takeaway used to do the best kebabs, we would travel just for them, unfortunately it’s all changed, haven’t been for quite a while so it may not be a recent change.

I have used this chip shop for years, Chips are great and we have probably had most items from the menu which we have always enjoyed. Kebabs are good too! Always recommend to friends.

Chips were pretty nice, although quite soggy. Others had fish which were good. Staff were friendly although quite busy.

The chips where hard the portion was tiny compared to other chip shops in the same area. The batterd sausage was awful I’m not even sure it was a sausage it was flavourless. NEVER AGAIN take the extra 5 minutes and go elsewhere.

Mikes chippy is an amazing chip shop! The staff are so friendly! Would 100% go again! I would highly recommend!

Food is well cooked to how you like it! I have heard people say how they love the chips, kebabs and cods because they’re made fresh! As a customer or a member of staff, our job is to make sure we make you happy! I talk a lot about Mikes Chippy because it’s a lovely environment. All staff are VERY polite and friendly! I’d advise people to take a visit to see what they think!

Every time me and my family have been to mikes chippy it’s always been amazing food, Sandra is so friendly and chatty. Never been let down the place, been going there for around 20-25 years now. Wouldn’t go to any other chip shop in Eastleigh. Sandra’s assistants are friendly as well, always in a good mood- one of them is called Kelsey
