Mijan Balti Hut in Birmingham

Me and my family been using this Balti house for 20 plus years always my go to favourite. Like the fact the staff still there years later! Can't understand complaints if you want great tasting balti it takes time to cook otherwise ends up just like the rest of the rush to put up places!

Always use this restaurant. Never been disappointed. Consistently a high quality of food and service.

Food was excellent! very fresh and tasty, and delivered early

The chicken and chips were little unappetising, however the curries were top tier, last time I ordered the vindaloo was mid, this time around it was exactly how it should be, very hot and very smooth. If you're looking for proper curry, spicy or not this is definitely a place to consider, pricy but you get what you pay for.

Don’t get me wrong the food was unreal really nice but if im paying a quid for poppadoms i expect more than just one… abit of an insult to be honest

My first order and def not my last 😍 Mxd tandoori grill moist and tasty. Pakora a real treat, samosas a little small but otherwise excellent. Mix of breads all good and sag aloo great. Everything fresh and hot. 5* overall.❤️

The food was tasteless and cold terrible all round

food was nice overall. I had a message saying it was on its way about 35 minutes before it arrived. so although it wasn't cold, it wasn't hot either.

Food is really good quality. Curry was great, naan was good size and really well cooked. Mint sauce was amazing too. Service really friendly over the phone and from the driver.

Terrible food. Was last time but gave it benefit of the doubt. Won’t order from there again

If I could give zero stars I would. The sheek kebabs were awful. Dry. Overly salty and an odd red colour. I’m not even sure they are meat as they tasted more like rehydrated soya protein. The chicken shashlik was a tiny portion for the price and under seasoned. The Briyan was the only reasonablely edible item but again tiny portion for the price. Overall OVER PRICED AND DREADFUL.

Used this takeaway for the first time. Ordered chicken byriani and keema naan. Very generous portions. Very tasty. Highly recommended.

Food arrived hot (despite being 35 mins late), and very well cooked. Paneer Rogan Josh was very tasty, well spiced and not at all greasy. Veg pilau rice very good. Saag aloo excellent. Really good naans, softer than the usual takeaway naans which can get a bit tough, yet cooked perfectly. Shame about the delay or this would have had another star. Definitely one to try, food is great. Just request delivery 15 minutes earlier than you want it!

Lovely food just arrived later than when the order was placed. Time pushed back by 15 mins however, driver apologised and food was good so happy in the end

All was great but no popadums which I had paid for

Lamb was beautifully cooked but only about 3 pieces in my curry. Mint sauce a bit wishy washy. Bhajis fab and lovely madras.

Food was not cooked great! Chips was hard and was cooked in old oil

Didn’t really enjoy the balti, there was 3 bits of lamb and tiny prawns but enough chicken. The keema naan was weird it was like mince meat spread onto the naan but more like painted bread hardly any keema on it.

I have ordered from here first time 2 weeks ago and I was impressed. I wasn’t so much today. The food have arrived cold. My salad and mint sauce was missing. The desert was nice.

Been using Mijan for over 25 years..have never had an issue! The food is outstanding cannot recommend this place enough. Simply perfect.

Ordered a few times from here just to see if they’re consistent before I put a review down. So… I have to say I really enjoyed most of their food. Very tasty and flavoursome. Curry’s are a hit along with their biriyani. Mixed grill was decent (slightly over cooked and dry) but saved it with the sauce. I would definitely order again from this place and highly recommend it. Sadly no pics as we was too hungry 🤤

Tried to order early afternoon for early delivery according to site this restaurant did not exist? Phoned when restaurant opened asked what was going on they said Internet on now Tried to order over phone line that bad had to give up.

Ordered today and I was quite disappointed! They’ve stopped the free poppadoms and Onions. I was looking forward to this with my meal. Onion Bhajis were too hard. Very disappointing as it’s usually good.

Strength of food was slightly hotter than usual. Salad was missing.

Biryani was nice but the lamb tikka starter was tiny and instead of cubes it’s like a cube cut in half so probably wouldn’t order that again

We ordered yesterday after a very long time through there website although from past experience I use to order alot before and always found it very delicious and tasty. Yesterday we had quite a big order but once again I was very impressed and pleased with everything I ordered it was cooked to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The balti dishes and starters very fresh. Bursting with flavours, mouth watering, from one person to another everyone saying to me where did you order this from its really nice :) Customer service was spot on and the delivery driver was very humble and friendly. Thank you for your service. I will be ordering more often.

Food is always good have been using for years

It you want your.mouth to be on fire from a massala then this is your place, the noodles I honestly think it's a pack of super noodles with spice and chicken thrown in. All in all its awful and been checked in the bin

Food is always great. Been a customer for about fifteen years. The website is awful. Loads slowly, refreshes at random, checkout is complicated. Windows and banners appear at random & obscure important details.

Pass this place on a nighttime as a.lorry driver. Staff friendly food is spot on. Cheers fellas.
