Miiler & Carter Albert Dock in Liverpool

Attended for Xmas lunch , pre orders for meals and they still got it wrong

Service was slow, steak wasn't cooked to liking asked for medium rare and got medium. Overall the food was ok, but I wouldn't put it as a priority for a steak house sadly

Everything was perfect; the staff were friendly and the food was incredible and worth the money. We didn't wait long for food and the atmosphere was great!

We had a lovely 5 course Christmas meal here today, fantastic food, and great service from Ren who couldn’t do enough for us, even offered to take a photo of us! We will definitely be back!

No complaints at all about the food and service. The food was absolutely delicious, compliments to the chef. Our table waiter was also great but I'm sorry I can't remember his name. ☹️. Our only complaint/downside is the tables. They need to be de-greased. They looked clean but they were 'sticky', so can only assume it was grease on them. 10/10 for everything else and will definitely return.

Miller and Carter Albert Dock is a fantastic dining experience! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a special occasion or a casual meal. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and incredibly flavourful. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for steak lovers!

Every time we visit for ribeye, every single time is spot on!! Especially if you have Kam on your table! He makes your visit an experience to remember ✌🏻

Staff are absolutely amazing! Food is always lovely and atmosphere was okay would have been better if kids weren't treating it like a playground.

We walked in on the off chance and wasn't expecting to get a table being christmas weekend. The Gentleman at reception found us a table which we were grateful for and next to the window looking over the Docks. Eddy was our waitress.She was very friendly and made us feel welcome and explained what steak was best to have the way we wanted it cooked which was a help as I haven't got a clue. The food was absolutely beautiful and it made my Daughters birthday as they brought her a dessert out with Happy birthday on. Will definitely come here again when visiting Liverpool as this restaurant made our day.

Food was lovely, highly recommend the beef shin as a side. Andy was a great waiter, great service and able to answer our questions and give recommendations.

Won't lie been here few times . Service was surely slow member of party has allergies so get that takes time to check but not 2 hours ! Then after ordering desert on onset no pear ! Manager called next day gave us voucher and apologise so good manager. Other than that food fab

Really lovely cocktails and food, my family had steak and all said it was cooked to their liking however the wedge of iceberg was a bit odd and none of them really enjoyed it. I had the salad with spicy cauliflower which was very tasty we had garlic bread which was lovely and plentiful and the chips err very nice. Ambience and service were great and our server was personable and friendly

This was my first time at miller and carter I had been recommended by my sister. We decided to go for my daughters masters graduation to celebrate her special occasion. Our booking was at 9.45pm. We called an uber as it was a 19min walk from premier inn lime street and we were wearing heels. The uber charged for the fee but the website kept saying ‘sorry we are very busy and this is taking longer than usual’ we kept waiting for confirmation and the app reverted our money back after waiting for 20mins when we tried calling another the website crashed and my card details seemed to have been removed. All this delaying us from getting to the venue on time as we are travellers and not live in Liverpool. I quickly called miller and carter to let them know that we had had an inconvenience with the uber and we were running 10 mins late. The gentleman who answered the phone wasn’t very helpful and quickly told us that if we didn’t order our food prior to 10pm our table would be cancelled. We had travelled all the way from Gibraltar to celebrate my daughters graduation and miller and carter was our chosen restaurant for this occasion. We managed to get an uber and decided to call miller and carter while in the uber to order our food. We called back and the same gentleman picked up and told us that we could only order mains as we were late. We arrived at the restaurant really rushed and frustrated and that we couldn’t even look at the menu properly and order the first thing that we thought of fillet steaks. When we got to the restaurant at 10.56 exactly (our booking was for 9.45) 11minutes late the person who welcomed us was not very welcoming and was about to say we couldn’t get our table when I then told him we had ordered the food over the telephone. He looked at as very surprised and challenged to speak to the manager then walked away. This was very a special occasion for us so I was worried they would cancel our table. He then came back saying ok we’ve got you a table. As I walked in the restaurant it seemed lovely and cosy. We where then sat next to the restrooms even though the restaurant was not very full. I asked if we could be sat at another table which seemed a bit nicer just a bit further away but not next to the toilets. I was told that they needed to speak to the manager again. (We wanted to take pictures while having dinner for the special occasion and we didn’t want the toilet sign behind every photo). We then got greeted by a really nice waiter who asked for our drink orders. We ordered our drinks and before they arrived and before we could settle in our steaks were placed in front of us. We started eating without our drinks. The food was amazing and very well presented. The drinks arrived and we continued to eat and try make the most of our experience. Shortly after lights had been turned off in different areas of the restaurant were they were cleaning and carrying rubbish bags out the restaurant all this during our meal. It felt that they wanted to pack and go home and I felt like we were a burden to everyone there for arriving 11 minutes late. We thought that even though we weren’t allowed to order starters, we were hoping we could have dessert as we thought this was already pre-made. While waiting for a waiter to ask for desserts I was surprised with the bill without even asking for it. That made as feel like they were checking us out. It’s a shame that they do offer late bookings online we picked the 9.45 s and then come to realise that you’re going to be rushed by the staff. If I knew this was going to be the case I would have booked at a much earlier time. To wrap this up I would like to say that the venue was beautiful and clean and the food 10/10 however we didn’t feel very welcome. Hats off to our waiter who was lovely and treated us very well. I would definitely go back perhaps to one of the other venues with the hope we feel a little more welcome by stuff.

Lovely food, friendly staff. Really pretty decor too especially at Christmas time. Enjoyed our kid free evening here after some Christmas shopping in Liverpool one. Dan our server was friendly and prompt with attending our needs.

The restaurant is ideally situated in the Albert dock and was close to my hotel. The menu is identical to other Miller &Carter restaurants. The food was well prepared and service was attentive. The restaurant was busy with good atmosphere

Food was lovely, Miller and Carter always is. I would like to mention the lovely waiter who looked after us for the time we were there. I didn’t get his name but he was a tall blonde guy with a beard, told us he was polish and lived in Liverpool for 18years. He was extremely helpful and friendly and was interested in our Welsh accent and where we came from. He was genuinely a nice person and obviously enjoys his job.

Seven of us ate at Miller and Carter for dinner ordering a variety of different meals. We were served by Helen who was superb. She did not make a single mistake, every meal was served as ordered. The food was excellent and Helen ensured that our drinks were always topped up during our meal. A great night with superb food and excellent service. We will be returning.

We came here for our anniversary and was welcomed with a great atmosphere. Helen, gave us lots of recommendations on what to do during our stay in Liverpool! Thank you :)

Excellent meal out at M&C Albert Dock. Steaks cooked to perfection, staff team super helpful, especially the Chap that greeted us on arrival and managed to swap tables whilst being very busy. Best of all was Ruby our Table Waitress, a lovely person offering excellent customer service throughout.

Ruby was lovely and very attentive! Chatty at the right moments and couldn’t do enough for us !

I visited with my daughter and once again was extremely happy with our meals. I always order the fillet steak (well done), creamy mash and red wine sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection as always. My daughter had the rump steak (medium to well done) which was also cooked to perfection. The staff are all amazing, very pleasant and recommended a lovely wine to complement my steak. I have visited many other restaurants and never had the same experience. I would highly recommend Miller & Carter and will continue to book into the restaurants whilst visiting city's. I don't believe there are any improvements you could make ☺️

Lovely food an staff so pleasant an helpful always a pleasure to visit when in Liverpool with my mum.

Went Sunday night, service was good and Dan the waiter was very friendly. We had the Sunday platter for 2, the meat was lovely, however the sides were very unbalanced. We had a ridiculous amount of green beans, enough for 5 or 6 people, and a ridiculously small amount of roast potatoes, 3 smallish potatoes between 2 of us. Mash was fine. As a roast potato lover this was disappointing and don't see why you you should pay extra for a few more.

We had the Ribeye steak which was lovely. The restaurant was very busy but it didn’t affect the service and the waitress Ruby was very helpful and friendly.

Tried to make a group booking, had a reply back saying fully booked on that day even though 8 months away. Rang up and the gentleman was rather rude and unhelpful. Aparently on that date there is an “event on the arena” I suggested the friday to be told we dont take large bookings on “fridays or saturdays as risk loosing money if we kept them tables free for you”

Food was spot on - me and my dad both had the ribs. So tender and very tasty. Nice location situated on the docks. Staff very friendly and attentive. If ever I'm back in Liverpool I'll definitely be visiting again!

Went for mine and my girlfriends anniversary. The food was great and we got a bottle of red wine from boardeux too. Would go back again.

Jack provided excellent customer service

I ordered the Butchers block which was a good amount for what you pay however the food did come out lukewarm which was disappointing. My server was very polite and did their best to provide me with good service however I was waiting a very long time for my meal and for it not to come out hot is very disappointing. When getting seated I asked to be seated near a window for view however I rudely got this request denied and when I enquired about why we were unable to sit there I experienced a very dismissive and patronising response which I did not appreciate. The same lady who sat us down then proceeded to bring the food over and once again she was very rude, when I asked for sauces she didn’t acknowledge me and when bringing them over just slapped them on the table showing no manners whatsoever. I’m unsure if I offended her by asking why we couldn’t be seated near the window, regardless that is no way to treat a paying customer! I do not normally write reviews however the way I was treated by this particular member of staff did not sit right with me.

The food was superb. Although their service could be better because the staff had keys on their necklace and it keep going in the water so many times but non the less it was a good experience

My last experience of a Miller & Carter over 8 years ago stopped me from going. BUT What an eye opener, my taste buds have never been tantalised and spoilt Dan was really helpful and attentive made us feel at home. Your staff make your business you should be very proud of your team. We will be back. Thank you for an amazing night
