Midland Kebabs in Derby

I ordered a keema curry and god knows what I actually received but it’s NOT keema. Just just pieces of meat in some random sauce.

If I can save 1 person there money from this review it has been well worth while, the food took 1 hour and 40 minutes to come, we told the driver who delivered and both him and the person in the resterant told us to get it back through food hub, we didn’t want a refund we wanted a resolution. The curry was hands down the worst curry I’ve ever had from anywhere, it was like tinned tomato’s with chilli power in it, absolutely gutted the people in that takeaway don’t value a customers complaints at all

Ordered paid by card never turned up never got a delivery I would say this is fraud has been reported disgusting service

Chips wasn’t even cooked through. Kebab was like rubber only good thing about it was the mint yogurt. Delivery never updated just said order confirmed. Would not recommend at all

Very rude staff and they not listen your order proper and make wrong stuff and extra charging for card payments in these days which is funny.

DO NOT USE!! If I could give 0 I would! Ordered simple farmhouse pizza but don't know what they put on it but came with so much spice on it, it was inedible! Ended up in the bin. Just Eats are just as BAD and useless in their customer support. Spent over £15 and all went in the bin. Disgusting. Will never order again through Just Eat or from here again!!!

Well what can I say it's a kebab place, could do with bigger portions for the money they charge but other than that not to bad after a few beers...

My recent visit to Midland Kebabs in Derby was an experience that left much to be desired. While I was hopeful for a satisfying dining experience, the small portions were disappointing. However, what was even more disconcerting was the overpowering smell within the takeaway shop. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by an unpleasant, lingering odor that made it challenging to enjoy my meal. A strong smell can greatly affect the overall atmosphere of a restaurant, and in this case, it was quite off-putting. In addition to the olfactory discomfort, I also encountered issues with the behavior of the staff. Rudeness and aggression were prevalent, which only exacerbated the overall negative experience. Despite these shortcomings, I do believe that Midland Kebabs has the potential to improve. Addressing the issue of the strong smell and ensuring a more pleasant atmosphere, in addition to providing larger portions and better customer service, would go a long way in creating a more enjoyable dining experience for patrons..

Would avoid like a dose of covid. Asked for a kebab they gave me kebab meat in a tray. When I phoned up to complain they was very rude told me to drive down and pick a nan bread up. I would of got back to cold kebab meat. Not even an offer to refund what I wasn't given. For a tray of kebab meat, the tiniest portion of chips ever and a can of coke cost me £22. Way to expensive for the small bit of food I got. AVOID

I ordered a kebab and a chicken and chips the kebab was horrible and so bad we didn't even eat it the sauce was overpowering and did not taste nice it was also glowing red like the chicken but the chicken looked radioactive and the chicken meat was dark brown the food was very off putting and I would never go here again it's put me off trying other places too I'd rather just stick to my regular favourites at this rate

I don't think it's even deserve 3 star but delivery was good. my first order from midland kebab as our local was closed today. the pizza is overcooked and taste really bad like yeast really never eat pizza like that before. same with kebab the meat is ok the nan bread had horrible taste so we throw it away same with pizza just we had 1 slice from it. Try to solve out the salad and nan and kebab will be good not sure what to think about pizza.

Ordered the large Zinger meal and was would say the portion size and taste was good

Absolutely love that there's healthy options like a jacket potato or an omelette I'm big gym head so having healthy options is blessing

Disappointed. I've had kebabs from midland for years and last night I ordered a special kebab . Normally there really tasty and really generous with meat (which is why I go there) . However this time it was smaller and 95 percent of it was Donner with hardly any chicken or shish which is poor when your paying over £16 . Really disappointed as it has always been my go to. Sorry midland but I don't think I'll be coming back again. Shame really

Awful. 3 mix kebab. 90% Donner meat. A couple of bits of manky old dry chicken. Lamb shish, a couple of little dry bits that had been reheated a couple of times.. Old salad. Slow miserable service. Should have known what the food would have been like.

I’ve just ordered a 16 inch stuffed crust pizza and they gave me a 14 inch no stuff crust

Well what can I say nothing good really I went to get a kebab as working in Derby walked in and walked straight out reason being as I walked in a mouse ran in front of my and went under the fridge so went else where didn't fancy food poisoning

Food was not very nice, meat cooked more than once did not get exactly what I asked for will not order from here again

The worst kebab possible. Waited over two hours for a family kebab. When it finally arrived it was mostly under cooked doner meat in a pool of grease. I hardly had any of it but will taste the grease for a week

Ordered food it took an hour and a half to get to you and when it did I had the chicken burger which was soggy and the chicken was uncooked aswell the chips was cold

I've just tried the doner, shish and kofte kebab from Midland kebabs, and they were all excellent. I had the meat samosa as a starter, and it was also very tasty. Delivery driver was friendly and professional. Top marks. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Ordered from here tonight and arrived in good time but the Nan bread we ordered was wrong also the pizza was soggy and cold the chips was over cooked and the kabab was luke warm and greasy the best part of it all was the salad. Don't think we'll we ordering from here again to many mistakes and this is not the first time

Been using this place for 8 years ..this last year its gone down hill .chips are awful and small .kebabs are half the size they used to be .ordered food last night .was tiny.salad missing as usual..£2 delivery and we live on the same street .....shame it used to be nice

So we’ve been using this place for two to three years, we don’t have a lot of takeaways, possible once a week but this was our go-to place for kebabs etc. Lately this place has gotten worse and worse with both delivery times as well quality & consistency (mostly cold & undercooked food as well as vastly different portions. This has culminated in this evenings fracas of ordering at 6pm waiting until 7pm before asking how long it would be to be told it was ready and would be here in 10 minutes. 5 minutes later the delivery car pulled up then went again (without delivering anything) and we waited another 30 minutes before calling and cancelling the order, which was met by hostility from the guy on the phone (not sure what he expected). I would no longer recommend this take away as the service and quality has vastly dropped in the last 6 months. We will be looking for another place to get our kebab/burger etc type take away from.

I ordered nearly £35 worth of food (for me, my bf, b-i-l and 2 friends on just eat) at 25past 11pm... got a notification that my order was on its way at 23.50pm... cut to quater to 1 and the food arrives.. cold. Told the driver to take it back as I don't want it.... they are literally a 10min drive away from where I live... rang the place at 00:30, and the drive had just left as I rang. Its ridiculous how they can be so late when delivering to somewhere 10mins away!!! Never ordering from here again!

Ordered food for my children this evening. It arrived quickly and was still nice and hot. Kid's have really enjoyed it so a thumbs up from us 👍. We ordered Doner & chips and Kid's popcorn chicken meals. Would definitely order from here again.

Not being funny but this plave wow is something else i wount be ordering again from this place as it was my first order ever the nan bread was swimming in grease of the kabab meat which was like leather and the shish couldnt chew it lettace was brown i wouldnt even give it the wild fox or squirel who comes in the garden becuse it would be cruel and in my opinion they need tradeing standards to go and look inside this place also i was vomiting after food and now im really not well think i have food posioning

Please avoid if you're looking for fresh kebabs. Chicken kebab is not grilled and looks like the breasts are old stock (not tender/juicy)▪︎ A colour coated stuff that's defo no way near fresh really. Ps: Tandoori chicken: 5 star fresh with a 4 star taste

Got raw onion bhajis and didn't get the salad I paid for. Turned up late too!! Shocking... absolutely shocking!! Actually sent me food that wasn't even cooked!!!!! Awful awful awful!!!!!

Absolutely Shocking (would give them -10) ordered 2 Shish/Donner Kebabs the meat was burnt on outside & chewy, but Centre was uncooked. The Naans were cold & hard like made ages ago, not a nice experience, as gave me a bad tummy. I will report to trading standards as this place needs closing down!

95 percent of the time its perfect however the other 5 percent is because i have been sent mint sauce rather than garlic mayo or some other times where ive waited 2.5 hours to get 1 kebab

Absolutely love this place.... Their tika rice is the best I've ever eaten.... Wish they would offer the choice between small and a large portion.... Food is always hot... Staff very friendly over the phone... Food isn't greasy .... Absolutely perfect takeaway

The kebabs are fantastic, donner kebab is really nicely thinly sliced with a good portion given. The tandoori chicken Biryani is an excellent choice comes with veg curry and nan bread. I have been in a few times and the food has been really good. Friendly courteous staff.

Foods already half an hour late. Rang up and told them that my foods late and the bloke hung up and now they won’t pick up. Wouldn’t recommend this to anybody.

Order was wrong. Spent 20 minutes calling unable to get through. Just eat just as bad saying I had to call the restaurant to confirm it was delivered.

Last 2 times we've orderfood was cold, waited 2 and a half hours for food. Phoned up complained was told we would be sorted out next time we orderd. Orderd tonight food cold again and we didn't get sorted out,eillnot be ordering saying from here.

Order from here a lot as only up the road, always polite, food is bloody amazing, sometimes arrives in 30 minutes! The delivery driver is bloody lovely.

I ordered a chicken tikka and donner meat kebab, paid £7 for it, it has just been delivered and it wouldn't even fill my toddler up, if I knew how to upload a pic I would.

Worst kebab I've had smallest portion ever bought a large Donna n shish kebab with salad got no salad with it naan was greasy not using them again for sure.

The food is absolutley amazing! Had the chips, cheese and tikka on a nan and its decent size and is reallly nice!! The small guy who works there is really nice! Great customer service!! Very chatty and good vibes!! Ive been once before which was last September2019 and we havent been since because of trying other places and there is nothing to compare to this place!! But the small guy remembered me and my partner and our daughter but also our order from 6 months ago!! He also gave us a free drink each with our food!! This place is so nice and kind!! So clean and tidy!! Amazing and excellent!!

Food delivered late and cold 2 hours after ordering. Played the dumb "I just work here" when phoned to reject order. They told the driver to leave and refused to refund the prepaid order. Take your chance when doing business with these people. I certainly won't be again.

Loved it!! Normally I go to Cavandish Kebabs but as it was late and Cavandish was closed I thought I'd try out Midland kebab, I was really impressed, the two lads serving was really friendly and helpful, and the Donner meat was really tasty.. will def be going there again..

Used to be a decent takeaway, but the staff were different and the standard of service was appalling during my last visit, to the extent that after waiting for more than 25 minutes while they dealt with phone orders, I left empty-handed. I won't be returning, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Ordered 2 chicken tikka large kebabs told 45mins /1hr .1hr 22min phoned up said be here in 2 minutes which was but I got 2 donner mixed kebabs.no good

Love this place....ordered first time a few weeks ago and again yesterday to see if consistently good. Not disappointed food hot, tasty and delivered by friendly driver. Burgers and kebabs are great....looking forward to trying something new.

These people are dirty they cough on the food no hygiene dirty people pre cooked food all microwaved you can tell from taste iv worked in nottingham takeaway not naming them but they used to do they same ordering time very late very very bad dirty people dirty place my friend found snail in their food called up and they started begging saying please dont tell anyone we will give send you more food clean this tine

Had to wait an hour for my order..Could of walked there in 5 mins but i thought if i order it while at work i would have my food soon after i got home... that was a joke... as was the heat of the food... tepid at best...would not order online again

The food is good but there customer services is absolutely shocking they delivered a pizza to my next door an forgot the garlic bread all the poor lady said next door was were is my garlic bread an then all I heared was a barage of abuse been shouted at the poor lady not on at all

Food was awful and tasteless. We asked for cutlery they said they didn't have any. We asked for a fork and were given one. Don't bother save your money. Dirty looking place
