Middleton Chinese in Leeds

Abysmal service. We ordered for delivery at around 6.20pm and were told it would take 35-55min on Uber Eats. Absolutely no updates provided and I had to call after an 90mins had past to be told it would be 20-25mins. Clearly they had not even started the order yet as they had to ask twice what the order was. Nothing turned up in those 20-25mins and it took another 70mins for delivery. We tried to phone multiple times after the first call but to no avail. Would never use again nor would I recommend to anyone else.

Absolutely disgusting.ordered last night, 3 hours later still not received it. Tools ages trying to get through on fone, to be told they had not even started it. Cancelled it but they put delivered on my status with just eat and can not get my £56 back. So paid for food that I never received

Said it was gonna be 45 mins and it’s has been 3 hours 30 mins and still not received phone number doesn’t work and there’s no way of contacting them….

The food has always been ok however the past few times we’ve ordered there’s been a significant drop in quality. Tonight was outrageous. Ordered at 16:30 to be told 18:25-18:50 delivery. It’s 19:55, no delivery, no answer on the phone, saying it’s delivered on justeat. Just a complete joke. You’ve lost a long term customer here.

Food is tasty but I just don’t know if I. An order from here again as it takes what seems like an age, site stated 35-55 min delivery, estimate was 55+ and meal finally arrived after 1hr 45mins, it was so cold we had to reheat it.

Delivered on time but pre-order states 30-35 mins delivery but when order placed stated 1hr - 1hr 20. Order did arrive within 1hr/1hr 20 time slot but a little mis-leading.

Absolutely gutted the food quality was so good but ordered quarter duck and didn’t get hoisin sauce, spring onion and cucumber. Such a shame as the rest of it was fantastic

Not up to the usual standard. Chicken was chewy and food luke warm. Almost 2 hours for delivery to arrive as well.

Food did not taste fresh, made me feel unwell. All of the reviews on google tell you it will be late but the takeaway continues to make excuses for why they are late instead of trying to improve. First and last time trying here unfortunately

I order from here all time and would never change nice friendly people and delicious food would recommend to anyone who lives here or just move in round here 100% quality

The food was excellent and arrived steaming hot. It arrived slightly after the order time but it’s a Friday evening so to be expected and it wasn’t an issue as the food was so good. Thank you.

Always delivered hot and fast thanks

We had the deep fried chicken in sauce and unfortunately did not like it at all. The chicken was soggy and not crispy and the chips I had arrived cold. Mongolian special was ok as was the boiled rice.

The estimated time was adjusted, and then arrival was later than expected. But the food tasted good.

it would have been 5 stars if on over a £60 order the chips weren't 2 days old no excuse really when I put the order in as soon as they opened

on just eat app showed as delivered when I raised concern was told was running late and would be delivered soon this takeaway is a 5 min drive from my home usually delivers within 30 mins this order took well over an hour

The food was good, as usual, but the delivery was not. If the delivery driver is going to insist on staying in their car and expects the customer to come to them, at least make it easy to find the car - spent 6 minutes trying to find the driver.

2 hours wait for a small and basic order. Food was just ok - spring rolls were burnt, chips were not great.

the sesame toast was burnt and tasted like oil so much oil.

Food was really good as ever, thin noodles were awesome as was the deep fried beef and garlic/chilli. Chicken and noodles was just okay but the steamed dumpling and skewers were incredible! Thanks

Delivery took a long time and chips were warmed up. Ordered from here a few times and never had a problem but tonight was very unhappy.

Veggie spring roll had no filling and no flavour. We ordered Crispy King Prawn in Mongolian Sauce but the meal we received was a light sweet sauce with pineapple chunks. It was ok but not what we ordered. Noodles and curry sauce were great. Overall is was pretty average.

This is a family firm favourite,Alot of my friends used this as it's good food and reasonable prices.Once you try here U will always use.

Husband selected collection, called explained mistake and they delivered food no issues. sauce was in bag all over, but decent food overall. 👌

Not sure what I got but it wasn’t what I’ve had before. I ordered the shredded Mongolian beef.. it was fatty, definitely not shredded and the sauce was bright orange and thick and didn’t taste anything like my past orders of it. Ended up just eating the rice and throwing the rest. Delivery on point.. even tipped the guy. Shame the food was so bad.

NEVER RECEIVED MY FOOD!!!!! Just eat kept telling me to ring the restaurant and when I did so it kept saying “user busy”?! no other way to contact them and no food at my door? I understand it may be a saturday night and busy but when you can’t even contact them to know if they’ve even made your order yet? what am i supposed to do?

My go to Chinese restaurant that nothing disappoints.

Ordered chicken chow mein with our order last night, my other half bit into the chicken and spat it out. The chicken was near enough raw in the middle. My other half rang the shop to be met with a disgusting attitude from whoever answered the phone stating that they don’t send raw chicken out to their customers, refused to send another out and argued with my other half over the phone. So she was left with chips for her tea and was told to contact just eat if she thinks it’s raw. Funny that just eat have refunded it in full after asking for images if it ‘wasn’t raw’. Will not be ordering from here again. I understand mistakes happen but it’s how you deal with it that’s important, if they’d sent another and apologised I wouldn’t be writing this! I’d avoid.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Ordered on their website for delivery, had to phone up twice to find out where our food was. It turned up 2hours 10minutes after placing the order. The chips were stale and clearly been under a heat lamp or in a microwave. The foo yung was way too salty. The sweet and sour chicken was rubbery and the sauce didn't taste right. The prawn crackers were stale too. This use to be a great place to order from and we used it regularly but after tonight we won't be using it again.

The meat on the peeking ribs was as tough as old boots and the half of duck at over 20 quid made only 4 pancake rolls, it was just a tub full of bones. Will never order from there again

This is the second time my order has been late. It took 1hr 30mins from ordering the food to receiving it. Last time it was late it took over 2 hours! I’ll think twice about ordering from here again. Such a shame because the food is decent,

We had this food delivered yesterday (19/09/24) ir was delivered exactly on time and the food was lovely very good size portions id go as far to ssy it was the best chinese takeaway we have eaten in a very long time would highly recommend

Ordered for delivery. Stayed would be 30 mins. Arrived 90mins later. First time ordering from here and won’t be again. Special Satay was watery and resembled thin gravy. Full of onion and green pepper. Chips inedible as had clearly been warmed up or kept warm making them dry and tasteless. Overall very disappointing.

this time our food some was a little over cooked, wonton didn't look anything like a wonton. but was ok

I hate to write this review but The food really wasn't nice today the chips was awful and had a strange taste to them,, the beef in the curry was like chewing bricks surprised i didn't break my teeth.. normally really good from here but not sure what happened today

Food not brilliant ... batter on sweet and sour balls not fully cooked so doughy inside. Steak Cantonese inedible as ingredients included that are not normally in any steak cantonese ordered from other establishments, which totally changed the taste for the worse.

I wasn't bothered that the order was 5-10 mins late but the food was shocking! worst spring roll I've had, was large but lacked flavour. Egg fried rice was abysmal and for £2.40 extra I'd expect much better. finally the Mongolian beef which used to be may favourite was over cooked and no where near as tender as it used to be and didn't have as much sauce. breaking my diet for this has broken my heart, never again will I be ordering from Middleton Chinese 😞

We ordered ribs, beef and chicken curry and all the meat was tough we couldn't eat it. The ribs were very dry and very tough. The chicken was horribly dry and over cooked. The Mongolian beef was very tough, and tasteless. The beef was supposed to be shredded. It was just lumps of tasteless, tough meat (supposedly) . We won't be buying from there again. A waste of money.

What’s happened? I always leave 5 star reviews but for the past two orders we received heated up food , not freshly made like always . I thought with the last order was a one off but today it happened again . New cook or something?

i ordered “salt and pepper shredded chicken” fried rice and curry sauce and this is what came after an 1 hour and 45 minutes of ordering no flavour at all and a couple of onions in, no peppers or spice to it at all. I usually order from here all the time and never disappoints. Customer service was as good as the chicken they sent me.

So disappointed!! Always enjoyed the food, recommended to family and friends, but tonight the food was shocking! Chicken in the soup was undercooked and still pink, binned.... mixed starter was undercooked and soggy, Special in Oyster Sauce was just in gravy! We were told that it was extremely busy, which is fine, but standards shouldn't be dropped! Was supposed to be a lovely meal at the end of a super day for my birthday.......but it really spoiled it!! Won't be ordering from here again!

Fried rice was dark and overcooked Salt and pepper chicken wings had no taste very bland Sweet n sour battered prawns glooopy batter not cooked Sweet n sour sauce had no pineapple peppers or onion in it Always buy from here but not anymore!

Been ordering from here for around 4 years now so long overdue review. I’ve lived all over Leeds, and can fully endorse this as the best chinese Leeds has to offer! Almost overlooked it because the name doesn’t scream ‘oriental delight’, but all that aside, huge portions, amazing quality, and quick service 💯. Ticks all the boxes.

This had to be the worst takeaway iv had yet pork dumplings tasted like raw fat chicken chow main no taste what so ever slimey consistency my 6 year old woyldnt entertain it all binned wouldnr recommend
