Mia Restaurant in Edinburgh, City of

Went to this restaurant before we went to the football game. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a friendly man who guided us to our table. Once we had ordered, we didn’t wait long for our food, which was fresh, hot and a good sized portion. I hope no issues with the restaurant. I’ll be back again.

It is rare that when 6 people go out to eat every single person loves their meal. Mia Italian exceeded our expectations. Easily one of the best meals we had in Scotland and true authentic Italian food. They had excellent gluten free options for my two gluten free girls - pasta and pizza. As well as a gluten-free garlic & rosemary focaccia.

Always a good atmosphere with a good choice of dishes on the menu. Quality of the dishes varies and prices are on high side, including the wine list, in comparison to higher quality city centre Italian restaurants. Service from our server was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and with a smile, an attention to deal that tends to be missed in hospitality at the Moment.

Booked for large family group of 12 for engagement celebration . The restaurant is a short walk from Haymarket Station. Great ambience and attractively furnished. Menu was very varied with generous portions .Food was delicious . The staff were very attentive to our large group and always smiling and friendly . Only difficulty was trying to phone on the day to confirm final numbers as took several attempts to get thro . Maybe could respond thro messenger or insta . Def worth a visit and also hope to try their very good value lunch menu .

Glad I stumbled into this place. Good Italian, generous portions, reasonable prices. I had the linguini mare, which was huge, and stuffed with shellfish. Embarrassed to say I ate it all and needed extra napkins

Another very tasty steak lunch. We were going to try something else this time but the steak was calling us. If you are a steak lover then you’ll love this place. Staff are an asset to the place and they set the tone from the minute you approach the door. Seriously if you’ve not been here you need to get booking. My work bestie and I on a business trip and always looking out for restaurants where one can feel at home. Lovely service, fabulous food, reasonably priced, generous portions, authentic Italian cuisine. Hit the spot perfectly.

We stumbled here by accident on a Friday night and were glad we did. The restaurant was busy and had a nice atmosphere, but service was efficient and food arrived promptly. Our dishes - seafood spaghetti and spaghetti carbonara- were both well executed and my friends seafood spaghetti had a generous portion of seafood for the price. Other tables food looked good as well, and I look forward to trying the pizzas on another occasion. Good value as well with most pasta and pizzas under the £15 mark.

Went here for my anniversary a couple of weeks ago. I have made many trips to this restaurant previously at both locations, taking friends and family. Normally have a great experience however, last week we had an awful time, the service was shocking, and the woman serving us was so unwelcoming, inattentive and just rude. I have encountered her twice on different occasions and both times terrible service. As a waitress myself, it was no way to treat a table. Not sure if it's due to our age as I saw her managing to hold a conversation with an older couple. Either way unacceptable. if she wore a name tag I would name her specifically. For food I usually always recommend this place for all its dishes however again, gravely disappointed. the sauce had no taste, the salmon was dry. Left upset by this place.

This place from the minute you walk through its doors is brilliant. The staff are an asset to the place, extremely kind, helpful, patient, relaxed, which in turn chilled us all out too. The food is excellent from the bolognaise, tagliatelle to the steak. This place has it all. We were there for my mums 78th Birthday and the guy was great with her since she is now trying to adapt to being confined to a wheelchair. From the taxi dropping us off we were met at the door with a friendly smile and help to take mum inside. There was plenty space for her wheelchair and she loved being at the window being able to see outside. This was her first restaurant trip out to eat with my hubby and her two grandchildren. We thank you so much for the laughs and really making mum feel special. We will definitely be back again very soon. The disabled toilets were easy to access and since I’m disabled too it made the world of difference. Keep up the amazing work guys you are a definite 5 star place 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had dinner at Mia Italian for my sons birthday. Party of 11. Food was delicious, great value and choice and so handy for haymarket train station. Loved ambience and decor too. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic, best service I’ve had for a long time. Would highly recommend

What an amazing place to eat ... the service and the food was amazing. So full after our starters and mains we couldn't even fit in desserts. Amazing value for money would highly recommend if visiting the Haymarket area of Edinburgh!!!
