Mi Chaii in Glasgow City

Me and my friend only got the milk cake but it was brilliant , not tried anything else but if it's as good as the milk cake then I'll be going back for sure.

Tea was cold, and didn’t taste good, i could have made better tea at home.

One of the girls that work here is the rudest person I have ever met. She is arrogant and prestige, has no manners or good customer service she ruined the entire experience for us. It wasn’t even busy she had no reason for that kind of attitude.

Absolutely love this wee gem. The best Kashmiri chai in Glasgow. Great food too. Always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I've stopped coming here as, despite the handy opening hours, a cup of tea really shouldn't be priced upwards of three pounds fifty. Food distinctly average, and contrary to the nicely staged photos on here, tired and cheap seating and decor (Empire themed, queasily enough). The service is the only reasonable thing in what comes off as a somewhat cynical venture.

Food Quantity is very low and prices are too much high campare with other restaurant. Not good. To much bad not recommend to others.

Great ambience and great food. This is becoming my regular go-to place now. Love the biryani and samosa chat, and the freshly made paratha was spot on. The desserts are really good and fresh. The staff is very friendly, especially Omar, who made one of the best coffees I've had in a while. Great for family or a quick snack with friends. I'd highly recommend Mi Chai.

The food was nice. Nothing exceptional but nice enough. The service was below average. Upon asking the server what is Kashmiri chai I got the response it's pink. Since I had never had Kashmiri chai before I asked if he could explain and his response was it's Kashmiri and it's pink. We tried it and it was fairly nice but the server was flustered as it got busy and he was the only one on. We ordered a chana and halwa breakfast and an omelette and daal breakfast. The food was generally ok, the daal was very tasty.

Umar is a credit to the company. He went out his way to explain the many options and his recommendations were delicious. This store is clean and welcoming. We loved it so much we came back again the following evening. I have no hesitations recommending this place to family and friends.

I was delightfully welcomed as I walked through the door. And Umar I think the staff member was who helped us pick out some good desert choices. And then offered to top up the hot chocolate when we said there wasn't enough chocolate. The food was great and service even better.

Love this place: food's amazing, and it's one of the only places in the Southside open late for evening coffee dates. Samra (who has served us many times) is always lovely! Omar (who asked us to leave this review) was also attentive.

My dad loves it here- he rates the chai tea and flap jack. Umar our server was very friendly. Would recommend!

Amazing experience here at Mii Chai, my first time in Glasgow, I came here yesterday and was greeted by Moiz, very warm and welcoming, we got the afternoon tea brunch it was beyond our expectations, we ended up coming again today and were greeted by Umar, again warm friendly face and very welcoming and once again the food was awesome.

Such a lovely little hidden gem of a place! Went for brunch and it was delicious.

I ordered the chicken biryani: £9.50 for a small bowl sized portion of chicken and rice. This didn't include delivery and service fees. Finished it in 8 bites (not even joking). Rip off! Edit for reply to restaurant owner: That's not true. The delivery companies charge you a fee (likely 30%) to use their service and allow you (the restaurant) to make your own prices on their platforms. Many restaurants choose to mark up their prices to cover this 30% fee. Some don't. There are some restaurants on the apps that charge the same as they do in store (McDonalds being one). And the portion was objectively small. Nothing to do with my opinion. It was a child's portion.

Been here a few times now and have to say it’s exceeded my expectations each time. For the quality, service and price it’s now my favourite place to grab a bit to eat or have a hot chai.

Been here around 5x the past month and every time the food, service and atmosphere has been great. I’d highly recommend the paratha and daal, it is just like how I had it growing up at home. Definitely will keep coming back and the opening hours are great too.

What a lovely Desi restaurant in the heart of the southside! The interior aswell as the food was absolutely beautiful. I ordered a delicious vegetarian omlette served with daal and fresh homemade paratha - so tasty and filling! And ofcourse I had to try their karak chaii... which by the way, did not dissapoint. The sweetness mixed with spice is always a perfect combo👌 We topped it off with a slice of biscoff cake - yes it actually had gold sparkles on it!! A special thanks to the friendly staff who made us feel right at home - We'll definitely be back again!!

Nice coffee/chai shop. Ordered karak chai with saffron. Was already made and kept warm in the chai heat box. Seating is ok. Shop was clean and enough seating inside.

It was my first time trying karak chaii and kashmir as well as the butter chicken main. All of the food and drink provided were excellent and the pea sauce added such a great unique flavour to it all! Very happy with all the food and then to top it off the staff were very pleasant and greeted us like it were our own home! Definitely returning more often 😌

Excellent customer service had a small issue and the manager delivered fresh food to our house, they also sell the best masala fries, donuts and karak chai definitely recommend visiting!!

I might be judging too harshly since I just grabbed the deal of the day (Masala chips/churro/Pepsi) but honestly the food wasn't amazing. (Especially fer £8) Great friendly service and nice place but sorry man the food just didn't cut it, felt tiny bit ripped off if honest. Just chips sprinkled with spice and two tiny churro rolls. But of a let down but I might give it another chance.

On a family visit to Glasgow we went here for brunch. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. There is great choice on the menu and this includes vegetarian options. I would thoroughly recommend this place and we are definitely going back to try yet more delicious food (especially the staff recommendations).

Karak chai is very nice. Staff are freindly and provided a great service. Looks like a great place to bring freinds and family. Will be back to try the menu and review the food.

Nipped for a coffee and after looking at the menu, I decided to have the keema with peas. Added bonus, it was on special and came with a drink. £7.49 for a filling portion of keema with 2 rotis and a pipping hot americano. Keema was so delicious, I didn't want it to finish. Friendly and helpful staff helped make my visit enjoyable. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely pop in again.

I ordered through deliveroo and loved the food. It's flavourful and served hot ! The golgappy had more than enough filling and water and the biriyani was just finger licking good 🤌. The cafe is cost friendly and serves good food for the cost !!!!

Amazing food! Had the chicken biriyani, paratha with lemon side, and had to get their signature karak chaii. Perfect blend of spices and savoury goodness! Can’t wait to return.

I had an amazing omelette wrap here, I love that with the all day menu I could have that in the evening! I don’t live in Glasgow and I’m not there super often but I’ll definitely have to come back here the next time I’m in the area! It’s a lovely little cafe, and the lady at the counter was very friendly.

First time in "Mi Chaii" and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The Kulfi Falooda is to die for. ITS THE BEST FALOODA IN G-TOWN! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Nice place. Food is OK. Bit pricey for some stuff on the menu. Quick service and staff are friendly. Would recommend for a quick stop. Kashmiri tea is very good. Deserts are nice but not a huge selection.

Today I tried a fresh paratha for the first time. It was really tasty and I recommend you try their fresh parathae.

The breakfast was delicious, hot and freshly made. The chai was incredible. Everyone was very friendly and place was very clean. I would highly recommend for breakfast! One of the best places I’ve been.

Nice place for a wee snack after a walk in Queens Park. Falooda (pistachio) was tasty and cooling, the Biscoff milk cake delicious, but chai did not taste very authentic. Lovely open seating area, very clean, service was excellent by Sabha, very courteous and friendly. Would recommend!

Best doughnuts in the UK Fine me if I am wrong

I visited first time today and the frozen prathas did not taste like parathas, the tea seemed as its been over cooked and the quality of the food was poor. I would never visit this place again

This time the mince and peas curry had so much salt it was very hard to eat it . I should have asked to change curry but I didn't I had paid for it so I just didn't change it.

The cafe was clean, the lady who greeted us was nice but the food was below average. The loaded fries were nice but the paratha were not freshly made (it was the regular frozen ones), cholay was bland and probably tinned chickpeas. The same chickpeas with lots of oil was used in the Samosa chaat, the chaat had no samosa just papri (rock solid) with yoghurt sauce that had gone bad...was very disappointed and will not go here again ☹️

We had intended to go to Crema across the road but it was closed (despite opening time on google saying 9am). This also says 9am but didn’t open until 9:30. We had a long wait for food because they’d just opened and also I think staff shortage. Was a nice desi naashta in the end and we mostly had the place to ourselves. (Maybe people in the know know they don’t open on time so come later!)

Arrived at 10.12 pm went to till after being passed the menu 10.16 at till to order was told sorry no sit in we close then at 1030 pm I said it’s not 1030 pm. My cousin came over 1022 now and said it’s not 1030 pm now staff member says no we close serving at 10:15 pm poor staff service and they should change their google listing as totally wasting time and effort for that poor service. Luckily chickaroos which is across the road welcomed us and offered a delicious meal !

It has to be said that Desi chai was very tasty but disappointingly cold and had to be drunk within thirty seconds or so before it got even more colder. We also ordered pakoras but by the time they arrived we had already finished our tea. When I pointed this out to the waiter his attitude was like “oh well better luck next time”. NOT a good first time experience!
