Mevlana Turkish Kitchen in Southampton

He estado en Mevlana antes en el pasado y creo que se mantendrá como en el pasado. Fui allí anoche 23 / 10 / 2024 con un amigo y honestamente puedo decir que fue la peor comida que ambos tuvimos. Los dos tomamos sopa de paca y no fue nada agradable y esperando que el plato principal lo compensara pero no lo hizo. Tenía kebab de Adana, que es un insulto a Adana kebab. Deberían llamarlo kebab kofte aceitoso. Ni siquiera sabía a kebab de Adana. Mi amigo tenía cordero salteado y estaba nadando en aceite y de mal gusto. Ni siquiera terminamos las cenas, eso fue un desperdicio de dinero. Bueno, no volveré a ir allí nunca más.

Debo haber pasado por este lugar 100 veces y nunca pensé entrar. Mi madre y yo decidimos probarlo y no nos decepcionó. El restaurante en sí es precioso, el personal era tan encantador y honestamente puedo decir que fue el mejor donador de cordero que he tenido. Mi madre pidió pollo, ya que no le gusta donador de cordero de la comida para llevar, pero ella probó algunos de los míos y quiere volver de nuevo para conseguir más cordero! Cena muy informal en un hermoso restaurante

Mi marido y yo visitamos el martes 13 de agosto para una cena temprana. Tuvimos Lahmacun, Sucuk, Mixed Lamb & Chicken Shish. Todo lo que pedimos era delicioso y un montón de él, pescado con un té turco. Sin duda volveremos.

He cenado en este establecimiento en numerosas ocasiones en el pasado, y la comida siempre ha sido excelente. Sin embargo, durante mi visita más reciente, el gerente mostró un nivel impactante de contundencia y grosería sin razón aparente más que su incapacidad para comprender las órdenes correctamente. La comida se sirvió con retrasos significativos, con cada persona recibiendo su comida con al menos 5 minutos de diferencia. El personal de espera parecía desorganizado, ya que la comida de una persona era completamente incorrecta, lo que resultó en una espera de 25 minutos mientras veía a otros comer. Después de un largo retraso, nos ofrecieron té de cortesía como disculpa por el error, pero nunca llegó. Es realmente decepcionante ver un restaurante una vez genial impactado negativamente por un gerente incompetente y personal sin capacitación. Se necesitan urgentemente nuevos cursos de gestión y capacitación del personal.

Very reasonable lunch. Food was delicious and very good value at £15 for a 3 course meal also included flatbread, salad and Turkish tea

I went for a romantic meal for 2 at the Mevlana in Southampton. The food was amazing and the service was first class. The serving staff were polite, kind and they could not do enough to help. They were able to meet our dietary requirements with no fuss at all. The food was hot , very tasty and was plentiful .

came for dinner with my friend to Mevlana and the food was really lovely. I ordered a mixed Adana &chicken kebab with bulgur rice and roasted vegetables. I also had a blue Hawaiian mocktail which was absolutely delicious. The staff there were really nice and polite. The place is a perfect spot for dinner. The restaurant is also family friendly.

Had a great meal here on a Friday evening. Food was wonderful. Very well cooked and very tasty. The Turkish tea at the end was very very nice as well. Staff were superb, very friendly and attentive. We felt it was really good value for money as well. Overall we really enjoyed our evening and food and will be returning.

All the food we had was fresh, rich in flavour, tasty and simply delicious! I have no negatives to talk about for this place, it was all lovely! The meat platter offers brilliant value for money and it’s stacked pile high full of freshly cooked meat! The bread was delicious and the salad was also fresh and crunchy! The falafel wrap is a great plant based option and is really tasty! The kinder bueno milkshake was just as perfect: thick, creamy, and chocolatey! Although they don’t serve alcohol, it really doesn’t matter when the food is really tasty! I can only recommend!

The customer service is the worst and the food too expensive for what it taste like. I had to wait more than 30 minutes for one scoop of ice cream for my daughter

Pasta was rubbish and tasteless. Other tables got free bread but not me dining alone. Waitress didn't even know the menu that well. All in all just plain rubbish and very expensive

We had a delicious breakfast at Mevlana this morning. We shared a meze and had coffee and tea. Everything was fresh, beautifully cooked and and presented. Excellent value and service. We will definitely go back for more!

We had the worst customer service experience in a restaurant we could have possibly imagined. Our specific waiter was extremely rude from the very beginning, giving us dirty looks and replying in a terrible manner, we asked to change a drink someone was allergic too as it did not have the ingredients on the menu and it all went down hill from there . We did not get a great response after that. All in all me and my family will not be returning and would not recommended for anyone else to go.

I've been here on several occasions. Had mixed doner today. I wasn't very impressed. Had chips rather than rice. They were average....not crispy enough for my taste. The kebab meat wasn't good either. I thought the whole meal was average. I've had lamb shish kebab here before which was 4/5. The staff are very affable. Service good. Had dips as starter before....with bread very good. Portions are decent. I'd say try it for yourself. For me I have tended to leave a little disappointed. Think their offering is a bit over-priced.

What a lovely restaurant. Really friendly and helpful staff. Lovely decorations with an extensive menu. The food took me straight back to turkey. We live locally and will be back again soon. We would totally recommend coming here.

Visited the restaurant this evening with my family. Absolutely exceptional food and service. Goran, the manager was very attentive. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and to see the chefs cooking the food was great. Would definitely recommend Mevlana Kitchen and we will definitely be going back again. Thank you Goran, you made us feel really welcome 😊

We sat down and the first waitress tries to take the order, we asked for EXPLANATION ON APPETIZERS, but the WAITRESS did not understand English, a lady arrives I think she was the Manager and told us that the girl did not speak English, however we ordered, and we had asked to get the food all together, UNFORTUNALY was not done as we asked. Very cold place, eating and service to be scared, it is not the first time I visit this place, previous visit was bad ,we been treated has second class customers , if you know the staff they will treat VIP customer, if not, forget about , services should be all the same . Total flop!!

I've been there 3 or 4 times now. The staff are lovely, the food is great, and the portions are very generous. Recommended!
