Visited with family. It was such a amazing service from the staff. Food was finger lickin. We got the real taste of indian food here. Food was served fresh and nicely. Well recommended.

Came here on spec as has not booked before coming to Alexandra Palace. Was able to get a table. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Really nice food. Would definitely recommend to others

Visited Ally Pally for the theatre and basically there is nowhere reasonable to eat. We walked down to this curry house. It was fabulous. Highly recommend.

Great menu with dishes that match any in London I have had. Outstanding service and highly reasonable even on a budget. An Indian restaurant has lasted in the same spot for nearly 40 years with good reason. Enjoy your visit.

Had a good curry here earlier this week. It is nice when the individual dishes all have their own distinctive flavours. The restaurant is a bit plain looking but the food is the most important bit.

6 of us ate here last night. |Most opted for the Bangaldeshi dishes which were delicious, interestingly different spicing, generous portions and plenty of rich non-oily sauce.

Very friendly staff who went above and beyond. They were very accommodating. My son who would usually have butter chicken at our local restaurant, this was not on their menu but they were more than happy to make it for him. I would certainly visit again when in the area.

We booked a table here before a gig at Ally Pally and we loved it! The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly! I chose the Bengal fish curry and it was delicious. Nice choice of house wine too, which is rare in Indian restaurants. Reasonably priced and good size portions. Would definitely to there again if back in the area!

I've visited this restaurant twice - on both occasions after an evening session of the Masters snooker finished early. My first visit was in Jan 2020 and my second visit was earlier this week, on Monday 10th Jan. Both visits were enjoyable. This is a solid Indian restaurant with a couple of interesting specials on the menu. The staff are very welcoming and even remembered me and my friend from our visit two years ago (this wasn't a lucky guess - they specifically remembered that last time we had another friend with us!) Good food, great hosts, and fair prices. I'll definitely be back again after the Masters snooker next year.

We ordered a meal to be delivered on a Saturday night during lockdown. After an hour we received an email saying your order is running ‘slightly late’ by 90 minutes! I can pretty much forgive this as people are swamped with orders during these unprecedented times, but the poor quality of the food I can’t forgive. I’ll start with the naan bread - this was almost raw dough still because they were obviously rushing and cutting cooking time down. It went straight in the bin. The roti was cooked but completely tasteless. Another dish wasted. The dahl was so watery and the lentils had turned to mush. I assume they were frozen, and this happened when they were defrosted but still - adjust the cooking time so that they retain some structure. The chicken dishes were ok on flavour but the meat was dry. But the biggest disappointment by far was the saag paneer, which always falls into one of two categories - restaurants who use fresh spinach and cook it down properly, and those who scrimp and just serve dairy. No prizes for guessing which... not only was this basically just a bowl of cream with minimal spinach in it, it had more sugar than any dessert I think I’ve ever tried. A massive disappointment all round.

Now we can't go to Methi in person, we ordered a takeaway last night (21 March 2020). Same fabulous food, but now with fast delivery and the usual very friendly service over the phone. May all of you stay well at Methi - and be able to deliver to us! Many thanks.

After our beloved local takeaway closed recently we were hoping Methi might take its place based on the glowing reviews, but it won’t happen on the strength of the takeaway we got at the weekend. It was mostly OK but totally unexceptional and we were expecting more. The Bengali fish was hard and chewy and the breads, whilst good, were stone cold. They were extremely busy and I’d give them another try in case it was an off night but there’s a lot to prove.

The best Indian cuisine I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. Authentic, flavoursome dishes, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff who are clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about what they do.

Most probably the best Indian Restaurant I have visited in the UK. Quality food and amazing service.

I went first time last Friday 22 February to take away for the family (I live near there) and the service and quality of food were amazing even today had some vegetable curry and briyany for the office.
