An incredible experience! I had a fantastic time at this Japanese restaurant in Green Wood. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and beautifully presented dishes. I dined earlier this week and was impressed by the service from Monika, great menu recommendations, upsold us lots more drinks than we anticipated tp have. Watch her juggle what looked like table reservation problems, bar and floor whilst being attentive but not overbearinf to us. My friend and i had the flaming beef sushi roll and gave the new oita style roll a try. The food was delicious! If anyone is local or would just like to try out a new restaurant, i would recommend 😊

Come regularly for a quick drink or a treat lunch at the end of the week. Great service. Lovely atmosphere. The sushi is fantastic and there is a wide range available. Great in the summer as it has a lovely covered outdoor area.

The wakame su was a joke. Almost £7 for few pieces of cucumber. And Kakuni ramen? Had few fatty bits of pork and watered down “broth” to accompany it. I used to be loyal customer but no more as this is not a first time I and my family were disappointed.

I don't quite understand how this has the ratings it has. Our starters were served with one of our mains, yet the second main took a good 5 to 10 minutes to come out. Onto that, I ordered the vegan ramen, twice stating vegan, yet got the veggie ramen brought out, so spent even longer waiting for my dish that was extremely bland, chewy, that I left mostly untouched and yearned for my £1 nongshim packet ramen at home. My girlfriend's fish felt off to her too, to the point she had to leave some of it untouched for fear of food poisoning. The seaweed salad and miso soups were great, so we couldn't figure out how the starters were such a hit, but the mains such a miss. And to be pricier than central London for it too is confounding.

I went to Oita for lunch as a Christmas treat for myself. I was given a choice of seats rather than being hidden in a corner or near the toilets as often happens to single people. Mohamed was polite and attentive without being overbearing. I have a gluten allergy and felt well cared for. I had a veggie California urumaki which was well made and didn’t fall apart under my clumsy use of chopsticks. The chirashi don was bigger than I expected and came with miso soup. Both tasted very fresh and the rice was perfect. The prices are very reasonable for the size of the portions. The music was audible but unobtrusive and I did not have to raise my voice to be heard. I happily recommend this restaurant and can’t think of any flaws.

OITA is one of my favorite restaurants in Wood Green. Food is superb and delicious. Staff is very friendly. Mohamed was very friendly and kind to me. I highly recommend this place to japanese food lovers

Have been here many times and the staff are always really really good. The food is great and the atmosphere is the perfect balance of formal and relaxed.

Absolutely loved our meal here tonight thank you to all staff for exceptional service and especially our waiter Mohammed. Every single thing is hot and fresh and delicious you could not ask for more! Loved it and can’t wait to return.

My boyfriend and I booked a slot for 9:45 and arrived at 9:54 and were told that they would not serve us even though the website states a grace period of 15 minutes. Once we mentioned this, we were told that it would be amended on the website and were advised against getting food so late as it was insinuated we would get leftovers.

Best restaurant in north London tbh, criminally underrated. Mohamed was an amazing host and waiter making us feel looked after the entire time too!

Oita is a go-to place after ice skating in Ally Pally. The interior is so aesthetic and chill. The food was so filling and came hot. Lovely Don bowls. The staff is nice too. I recommend the chicken katsu Don and the mixed tempura.

Oita is the best vibes and best sushi in London. This is a London hidden gem, great food, amazing cocktails and warm service. Monika was a great server and super attentive. The beer garden is 10/10 all year round too!

Went here for lunch and got the Mackarel bento box and the chicken Katsu bento. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. Mohammed provided great service

Food was very good - I got the tamagodon (essentially an omelette on top of rice), avocado sushi and miso soup. The avocado was maybe a bit too firm for me and the tamagodon could've used a darker, more flavourful sauce. That being said, I still enjoyed it a lot and can't fault the big serving size! The miso soup, funnily enough, was the stand out! That was delicious! I got takeaway so I can't comment too much on the atmosphere but it looked like it had this great mashup of a super chill space mixed with a classy dining experience.

I’m a regular at this oita and haven’t been for a while. The food is delicious- i’ll always give 5 stars for that but I went recently and the servers couldn’t stop staring at me and my girlfriend. They kept stopping and staring which made us very uncomfortable. I usually have a great time so this was quite disappointing.

Service was ok. No welcome greeting or eye contact to welcome you as you walk in. Staff look disinterested. No goodbye/thank you to you, the paying customers, as you leave. Table service was ok. Food was bland and below average. One of the most disappointing Japanese I’ve ever had. Chicken Katsu Don was bland, needed more seasoning and chicken yaki udon was a strange sour and spicy flavour, not like any others I’ve had. Gyu Don was too saucy and almost like a soup at the bottom of the bowl. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I visited OITA for lunch as I was working nearby. It was not very busy. The food came very quickly, decent portion and was good. I had a mixed tempura bento which came with a miso soup, I also ordered the pumpkin croquettes which was much bigger than anticipated. Overall nice food and good service from Mohammed.

Came with my family as my dad knew the chef. We wanted to try the food as we never really had authentic japanese food before. Booked a table through monika. Was able to help me quickly without an issue. On arrival she knew who i was and made us feel welcome and let us choose our table. She helped us choose the best foods on the menu as per my parents’ request and she did not disappoint!!! although it was slightly busy she managed so well without issue for us. ashe also wa sable to pick a couple other things for us to try and it all was lovely!! We will definitely be coming back more often :)

Really well put together restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere, lots of space with good seating both indoors and outdoors. Decent menu with lots of choice, nice variety of starters, the sashimi & sushi are excellent. We also love the cheesecake. Shout out to Monica for the friendliest & most professional service! This is such a find, we sat down for a feast of sashimi it was generous, delicious and served to us with a smile, Monica who looked after us was lovely. Some of the best Japanese food outside the West End.

This place is underrated. We had a birthday dinner here and from the moment we walked in, Monica made us feel important. The katsu curry was beautiful. I'm a gym rat and I can eat and the portion they gave had me taking some home, they don't hold back on the portions! Price is more than reasonable and the atmosphere is perfect! Monica is the definition of excellent service.

Average food, good portion. Absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE. They did not tend to my table, I had to get up and call the waiter multiple times. Then they didn't want to cancel the service charge at my request. They insisted I have to pay it.

If you're looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend OITA. Their takoyaki is outstanding, crispy on the outside and perfectly tender inside. It's a must-try! Stayed on site at the Green rooms and came back to the restaurant after a gig at Ally Pally…what an unexpected find. Beautiful vibe, fabulous service from Monica, delicious food. This little gem will be worth a visit each time we’re in London, it’s worth the extra few tube stops out of the City. Absolutely fantastic!

We enjoy coming here, the garden is like a little oasis in Wood Green. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, and really looked after us. A special mention to Monica who looked after us all night, she was wonderful. Our cocktail waitress was also fantastic, and the cocktail she was for us was delicious. Thanks Oita, we’ll be back!

You know those restaurants you hesitate to give a good review as you’re afraid they’ll become too popular, well this is one of them! I hesitated to write this review as the food was so good - fresh sashimi, sushi and a great selection of Japanese cuisine with a modern twist for the rolls. Service was attentive and friendly. The icing on the cake is the venue itself, there’s a beautiful little covered garden in the back that transforms into a fantastic elegant dining experience. One not to miss!

I went OITA yesterday evening for a date. The location, ambient, atmosphere and the overall experience was great. We loved the space outside and all the beautiful plants! We went for the first time today and the truth is that we were more than delighted with the service and the food made to order, fresh, rich, delicious sushi. I recommend it 💯 In the back there is a beautiful garden with tables that you can enjoy in privacy or in common with others. The truth is that it is worth visiting and enjoying this beautiful place. P.S. If you need there is also a hotel 🤩
