Mermaid Fish Bar in Waveney

Picked up our normal Saturday dinner and was told to make a chip omelette with the leftover chips. What a great idea, tasted lovely, thanks Mermaid. Great service and great food, so fresh 🥳🥳

Happy to have found a fish n chip bar open in the middle of the afternoon. with really tastey options. Large cod was super sized, had regular cod and other items. Friendly service too.

Unsmiling service, horrible portion of chips at £2.50. The place smelt of stale fat. Don't go, even if you are hungry. Pop into a bread shop instead.

Lovely freshly cooked haddock and chips, very ample portions, a good range of products on offer, well cooked

The cod was perfect. Fresh and flaky with good batter. Chips and onion rings good, too. Massive portions, even the small chips. Quick and friendly service. Infinitely better than it was under the previous management.

Cod, not fresh, dubious provenance, soggy batter, chips soggy and flaccid. Never will go here again and we are local, no wonder there was no-one else in there. Threw the lot in a bin.
