MeriGo Piri Piri (Small Heath) in Birmingham

First time ordered here but was very pleasantly surprised 🙌 will be ordering again

Food was cold and rice was was dry

it wasn't very fulfilling and the 2 cans of 7up were missing

Best peri chicken shop in brum hands down would definitely order again, they put lots of extra sauces, the chicken was seasoned and tender, the rice was fresh and the peri chips were delicious. And delivers on time. My new go to peri chicken shop for sure

Avoid Avoid at all cost worst place to eat with kids, my kids & us had food poisoning and vomiting after eating from this place. Lack of cleanliness, dirty tables and don't think the staff even wash their hands. Food&hygiene standards should be 0 for this place. Only visit if you want to get ill after eating.

A**** amazing flavours cooked to perfection, very good prices, food is delicious and healthy. Very good customer service especially from the young man on the counter.

Great food , but more included chilli sauces wud be great

had me fiending for more would reccommend but sometimes food comes out a little burnt, but edible. VERY MESSY if you pour the sauce into the chicken bag like me.

Food literally handed to me and when checked it’s all cold. Literally a small pizza and mozz sticks you can’t even bring warm. What kind of bs is this?

If you like grilled food, there’s no spot better in Birmingham, hands down the best. Everything I’ve had from this place is quality, the consistency is second to none. Would highly recommend trying this place out!

Ordered half chicken told them prior that last time the chicken was burnt so please make it right this time, came home after work to this rubbish looks like it was fed to a dog called the shop they said come in and show us. went to the shop they said there is nothing wrong with this this is how it come and next time we wont exchange it no apology or nothing TERRIBLE SERVICE , AWFUL FOOD AVOID!!! LOOK AT THE PICTURE.

On the graft again installing a bathroom door. Dashed out this morning without breakfast 🤪 and at 4pm my belly thought my throat had been cut after hunger pains developed. A spirited 200 metres jog to Coventry Road brought me to a whole host of food choices in this multicultural region of Small Heath, situated 5 miles from Birmingham town Center. I felt I could manage breaklunch in one go. So popped into a very bright, clean looking fast takeaway called MeriGo Piri Piri. The opening words were welcoming, Yes BIG man how can I help you? With a smile I ordered a cheese burger meal, this also consisted of fries, Mao and chilly dip, a chilled tin of mango juice was also included. The meal was cooked freshly in front of my eyes and dispensed in 2 separate bags. I sat down to a clean table and bench seat. The meal was packed beautifully and upon unwrapping the look and taste hit ALL the right spots. In essence, The quality of customer service, preperation and prompt delivery of the meal were all top draw. I highly recommend MeriGo Peri Peri and for a mear £5.25 it was good value, furthermore, money well spent. Tony Mclarty

Usto come here a lot but the worker at the counter has too much ego on him since his girl left him he was charging extra for sauces after spending money in there shop told him it’s a trampy move especially which he did not like so didn’t bother going there again

Food was cold when it arrived and the burrito was not spicy even though ordered extra hot so I'm assuming they added the wrong sauce

Food tasted very nice, flavour was great. Would have given 5 stars if food had been packed better and also kids cheeseburger was smaller than any I’ve ordered in past. Would still order again but maybe avoid the kids meals.

Asian lad on the till has a severe attitude problem. Seems he needs a change of career if he dislikes it so much. Very rude. Seemed to cry after I asked about the lack of toilet facilities even though by law it is a requirement if there’s over seating for 10, which this establishment has seating for 26. Poor attitude. Poor service. Think his Mrs left him for the postman. He said it is okay to drink toilet water after refusing to provide drinking water. Poor hygiene and attitude from the young man.

You customer service is rubbish because yesterday I ordered Merigo and we've been waiting for a long time and yet your workers haven't delivered it to us today could you please send the same order that we submitted yesterday

Food was stone cold. I want a full refund. On top of that everything was spilt.

Very disappointed that I lost my food and money. I accept it was my fault for not checking the delivery address before completing the order. But I wish I could contact the delivery driver to rearrange the delivery to my correct address. Or it would make sense for the delivery driver to contact me directly when the delivery was rejected at the wrong address. I could have gone to the driver to take the food from him as the correct address was close by. Very sad.

Peri peri was dry and had no flavours. Period!

The chicken was nice, unfortunately the rice was lukewarm and pasta. The sauces tub had opened in the bag leaving a mess. Also the packing of the chicken had gone soggy and ripped from the corners leaving a mess. And this shop is only few minutes away from me!!

Used to eat here occasionally when I was local, moved out the area so decided to get it delivered via Just Eat. 15 minutes after the latest time it still said courier at the restaurant but didn't turn up. The reason for the 1 star is because of the guy that answered when I called. Rude guy who usually isn't as I've been in store and always been good but because of this experience I won't eat from here again (not like it'd matter to them as I'm only one customer). First put the blame on the driver and to call him, then I explained that it's still showing that courier at restaurant. Made it out like he's done his job and blamed it on Just Eat drivers who aren't linked to them and to call them as it says delivered on their end and made it out that I was lying. Even if that was the case being delivered on their end he could've handled it better as I had a similar situation with another restaurant where they handled it better.

Foods not the same anymore chicken in burgers was very hard and dry. Couldn’t even take a bite out of the burger properly and we asked for hot flavour and it was really bland. Not much taste in the food. I feel merigo’s is not the same as it used it be.

Food was excellent service time was good portion size was nice for the cost of meal.

The hot full piri piri chicken 🐓 is delightful, the sauce is extremely tasty and chicken grilled to perfection. The shop is spotlessly clean and the guys are very friendly.

No sauce , well there was two. But that’s so little so the whole thing was dry. Deffo getting from pepes instead next time.

I had the barbecued legend Pannier want it hot chicken too dry for my liking I had drip onto chilli sauce order milkshake didn't have it so have water the meal instead big let down after didn't eaten anything during day until now looking forward to it boy big disappointment eating experience for me eating area it self it was clean no offence I had better elsewhere

Came here Thursday evening Hardly any customers in the shop but still had to wait 40 minutes for my small order Ended up listening to some Kashmiri talking nonstop in their language to the owner which was highly annoying. Food wasn't nice, the sauces they provided taste nasty, especially the red

the food was great. nice fresh and hot unfortunately the cheap toy let the experience down for the kids. kids prefer colours or a maze or idk a bouncy ball. not rings and watches. maybe even a cheap car. a stretchy man. sk nay penny toys you can substitute for.

Had a burrito meal today. Was fantastic fresh food.

Overall, food taste as good. Only one thing which should be considered is quality of Bun used for burgers as it was not of finest quality. Would recommend to visit.

Was in town for a few days with work. Ate here 3 times in 4 days. Well presented and clean. Staff friendly. Food was genuinely excellent. Tikka Masala Pita Bread sandwich is my firm favourite, not just here, but of all the fast food I've eaten. Oh amd it is very well priced. Great value. Highly recommend! Need you guys in London!!!
