Excellent food value for money great service delicious cakes.

Loads to look at, lots of parking

A good but weird little setup of a garden centre! To get to the garden centre you have to walk through clothes, and fragrance section first!! Only a small centre but set up lovely. Big restaurant/cafe area.

Amazing selection of goods. You could spend a long time in this place. Whilst there pop in the cafe and have a relaxing cup of tea.

Went for breakfast it was ok but items were cold. Hi Simon, the black pudding, eggs, and tomato were all cold.

Great place for plants, garden furniture, plus women's clothing and shoes, and summer hats. Nice yo gave a sit down after purchase and have a bite to eat in a beautiful conservatory area, good food and drink at good prices. Enjoyed time out.

Mere Park has always been one of my favourite garden centres. You could easily spend a few hours here (unless that's just me loving shopping and eating too much 🤣). It's quite big and the food in the cafe is bloody lovely! Get yourselves there if you've never been!!

1 star because we were waiting over 30 minutes just to get two breakfast (full English) normally it is amazing but recently it's been really bad so yeah not recommended

They stock the Kew gardens soap which is lovely

My wife bought 2 plants, a blouse and a handbag!!!!!! She was only there to accompany my niece. She loved it and is badgering me to go back.

My tofu stir fry was delicious, but companions' sausages were a bit gristly. Super service though. Very kindly a wheelchair waa found and brought over for our use.

Went with my husband, who is disable but we won't be able to go back the way round is not very wide for a scooter ( so we left it in the car )also the toilets are quite away from the entrance there are no cut through to get to them if you need to go . The only plus side is the bright restaurant and the lovely cake.

First visit here loved looking round the garden centre and also we booked up for afternoon tea in there restaurant.. I must say I would definitely recommend it as it was delicious 😋

unfortunately we didn't have a good experience, after waiting an hour for a sandwich and watching other people arriving and eating we were given a refund.

The most exquisite garden centre we have been to in Shropshire so far. Not a massive one, but their products are attractively displayed. The restaurant/café is also very nice, and the staff is very friendly. With a good range of plants that look healthy. Will come back whenever we get the chance.

Dislike how you are channelled through the store, no freedom of movement.

The garden centre is fantastic. We visited on a few occasions and had breakfast in the restaurant on the last two occasions. The first time the restaurant was quite busy, but we were served our breakfasts quickly; the second time, we waited 30 minutes when it was relatively quiet and I had to go and ask for our breakfasts. The breakfasts were lukewarm at best, although still tasty. Dog friendly, which is a plus with water bowls for your dog to drink from. Great selection of goods available and a pleasant experience.

First time I've been here since it's been improved and it's laidcout quite nicely with everything displayed nicely and easy to find Lovely selection of decorative items , garden staples and I found to be not too overpriced .

Whatever you do don't go to the restaurant at 15:55 on a Sunday, you will be told by every member of staff that they close a 16:00. Very strange as I thought if a business was open till a certain time that they should in fact be serving till then. So we arrived at your restuarant after perusing the plant area, we grabbed a tray and had a look at the cakes, we were then approached by one very stern young woman, No Hello just that they did infact close at 4pm and they had to be out by 16:30. Strike 1 which in all honesty got my back up a little but the wanting of cake outweighed that so i bit my tongue and continued to the till to select our drinks, we were then greated by another one of you pleasant staff members to again be informed that they did in fact close at 4pm - She then asked us to make sure we sat in a certain area as they were trying to clean as they closed at 4 (Again told of the closing time), we informed this extreamly friendly lady (Obvious sarcasm) that we had our dog with us, she then rolled her eyes and said "well you will need to sit there then, there is nothing we can do about it" - I then looked at my mom and although the cakes looked amazing I felt my money was best spent elsewhere so advised we would leave it, i then walked back over to my basket full of flowers and questioned if i should spend any money at all with you as you are all the same entity, I did and i can only praise the kind lad that served us in the Garden centre, Pleasant and couldn't do enough for us, As i was a pro on the closing times i informed him that he shut at 4:30 and to not visit the restaurant as they shut at 4pm. I feel your staff should be taught some manners, I can assure you in my business if we started packing up our desks 5 minutes before and informing customers of our closing time that they wouldn't be in a job for very long. We are regular visitors of your restaurant and im sure losing 3 people won't make a dramatic difference to you but i can assure you i will tell all friends and family about our experience. I hope you have a lovely day and thank you for saving me money that would have been wasted in your restaurant.

First visit there the gardening side of the business looked very good but difficult to make a judgement out of season. The rest of the product range was good quality and the restaurant was excellent. Our second visit since the takeover by Blue Diamond and it has improved dramatically. The restaurant was excellent an improvement on the prior owners who were very good the range of goods was excellent and the staff seemed incredibly well trained and helpful. The standards set by Blue Diamond are still as high as ever.Todays visit was as good as ever even though they were exceptionally busy.

I had to bring some items of clothing back that were faulty , but the woman over the clothes department was very unpleasant. She spoke to me in an attacking manner that’s made me feel that I really don’t want to go mere park again.

What a horrible food experience today. Used to use this restaurant regularly but not any more food has gone continually downhill from a great start. Food today was vile. Waited 45 mins ok they were busy. Paid £27 for two cold drinks and two sandwiches. Got a dry and unmelted tuna melt. Old salad and a baguette as they describe it which is actually a small crusty roll nothing more. You are losing it Mere Park which is a shame and other garden centres are stepping up!

Lovely store to browse for plants, gifts, clothes, cards and books. A really good selection and often reduced items in end of season sales. A large cafe which we didn't have time to visit on this occasion but will next time. There is a dog friendly area too for beloved pooches. Plants are good quality and there's a very large variety to choose from. Staff a little sparse on the ground but are around to help. A pleasant way to spend a few hours.

A really nice garden centre with a good choice of plants. Also a lovely cafe, had the 3 cheese quiche and potato salad, which was delicious. My mom had tiffin and coffee, which she enjoyed as well.

Have driven passed the garden centre many times en route to Whitchurch or Chester but never been able to call in. On this occasion we did and we were surprised at the size of the place. A bit of a maze to walk around through the indoor plants and gardening accessories to get to the outside displays. We were not disappointed with the variety of plants and shrubs stocked. The cafe was well organised, good choice of food available - hot and cold, full meals or lite bites. Would definitely recommend a visit and we will ensure we make time for a return trip.

Very nice garden centre with large and reasonably priced stock of plants. Also a large restaurant with outdoor seating. Store also stocks clothing.

In the cafe I purchased tea for two and two pastries. Only to find a black creepy crawly in the milk.. after saying to the tea lady she begrudgingly exchanged it for another milk jug with something orange in it 🙄 and the cups where dirty too All the staff where miserable like they had lost a fiver and found a pound

I only went in for coffee and a cake. I really liked the coffee. A full taste without the burnt taste you get from over roasted beans. The place was very busy but we got a table without any trouble. The cake I had was a big slice, and very nice. I thought the cost for 2 cakes and 2 drinks was very reasonable. The goods on display were interesting, and I didn't think they were too expensive. I will be back next time I'm in the area

We love this place. There is plenty of comfortable seating and there is never a long queue. The food is great.

A great place to visit and grab a coffee in the spacious restaurant. My mother loves it there. Last week, outside, I was assisted by a friendly and helpful lady called Tracey who fetched me a trolley and was able to advise me which plants were where. Thank you Tracey it makes a pleasant change to find someone so helpful and smiley. We will be back.

Lovely place great food not to pricy

What a lovely place. I'd not been before and am moving to Newport so popped in and was very pleased, they seemed to sell everything, and each area was laid out nicely and everywhere was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. Easy parking. Will be returning and would recommend it to anyone

I found it hard to navigate. There is no flow to the store. The toilets are directly next to the food cafe. Standing waiting for my coffee and cake I could clearly smell the toilet. Not ideal I have to say !

We had lunch in the light and efficient restaurant. Unfortunately we were short of time and were unable to really look at the various sections of goods on sale. Another time hopefully.

Always visit here when I visit family. Love the tea rooms and always go home with a plant and new outfit.

Looked lovely till food came out , was so over cooked had to leave half the food, and was very expensive for the fact we had to leave Half of it !

Lovely garden centre with plenty to look at and a beautiful cafe too. It can all be a bit pricey and the cakes we had last wked were a little dry. Aways busy though and staff are friendly enough.

Nice nice nice....bootiful posh and elegant a little expensive......I paid £7 for just a sausage roll and a bit of almost dead lettuce....!? Cause they'd finished serving lunch....! Question: WHY DONT YOU SELL A FEW SMALL SAVORIES ON THE SWEET SIDE PLEASE....I Love sausage rolls NOT CAKE, small sandwiches with the crusts cut off would be posh too....PLEASE. Went for a meal being treated by my parents. Food was inedible chicken so dry my son thought it was a bone. Other meals overcooked but eaten as the wait was so long for them. We got a refund for my meal but I would not recommend this as a place to have a meal. Unless you have a particular preference for dry tasteless expensive food.

Very good Garden centre....like the layout of the re vamped garden centre under new ownership

Usually excellent restaurant found sadly lacking when we went for lunch on 11 February. Very poor portions and not value for money. On complaining to manager, she apologised but we were not offered any compensation. We were told the portions were regulated by management! Not good enough. We won't be returning.

Attended mere park restaurant on Thursday 8th Feb 2024,very disappointed with food Quality and certainly was not worth the money, shall not be visiting again

It was our first visit there and it was very enjoyable. The place is very clean and lots to choose from. We had breakfast in the restaurant and there was plenty on the menu.

Brilliant garden centre. Always a pleasure to visit. Fantastic cafe and very reasonable. Dog friendly.

Love this place. Since its been revamped, they have such lovely stuff here. Staff are friendly, and they serve great food. Also, the hand car wash pit side is excellent. Very friendly guys and do a very good job, I've been going there ever since they opened.
