I came to the garden Center cafe on 9th Feb 2025 (over 3 months ago) and the light in the disabled/baby changing room was broken. Here today (11th May) and IT IS STILL BROKEN!!! Absolutely ridiculous and meant I had to change my baby in the dark and watch a poor older gentleman struggle out of his wheelchair and into the men’s toilet. It is completely unacceptable.

Clean and tidy cafe nice, toilets nice. Expensive thou on some things. I went for seed potatoes and onions they were ok

Coffee was OK. Salads OK but very average

Rude till supervisor. One of the items of clothing in our basket did not have the bar code tag on it, and although the till operator said it wasn't a problem and she would go and get the price, the till supervisor accused my wife of taking the tag off or dislodging it when trying the garment on!!!! Second time we've had a problem at the till in this store, previously discounts displayed in the soaps/handcreams area were not applied at the till, we'd have been out of pocket by £10 if I hadn't made a calculation in my head before we began the checkout process!!!!

Nice visit to Mere Park to try out the restaurant for breakfast. Staff were very friendly. We ordered a full English fry up and American pancakes. It was tasty enough and similar price to most garden centres in the area. The pancakes were a bit underwhelming and could have been better. They weren't typical fluffy pancakes you would expect. They seemed reheated rather than fresh cooked. However, we would come back to try the deli counter and cakes, as they did look rather delicious, with a good variety and fresh ingredients.

Lovely big garden centre on the outskirts of Newport, Shropshire. Everything you could need for your garden or outdoor living. Great selection of clothes too. Enjoyed the cafe too.

Met some good friends for afternoon tea last week it was utterly delightful..our diatry requirements were catered for fully. I have had afternoon tea in a 5 star hotel in Manchester and it wasn't a patch on Mere Park. I would very highly recommend this Thank you

Lovely staff and garden centre but had to cut our visit short due to the overpowering smell of diffusers and smellies. It was horrible and quite distressing. A couple of nice staff members allowed me to leave via a staff door whilst my husband went to pay for the shopping....we had intended to buy more. A shame and not sure we will return 😕

I stopped on a long drive for a break in the restaurant. I would give the food and service more than 5 stars if I could. Easily the best breakfast stop anywhere.

Interesting menu for savoury foods, we tried a couple of salads and enjoyed them there's still a lot to try. Good choice of hot drinks but the main attraction is the wonderful cakes, I had carrot and mascarpone slice which was both beautiful to look at and delicious! Will definitely be back.

Absolutely disgusted with today's service at mere park! Waited 35 mins to receive awful cremated jacket potato with almost invisible filling! Which cost £10 so we complained plus awful prawn baguette which was actually a small bread roll! Waitress said they couldn't refund our meal but could come back and have another at a later date! As if!, also said can't refund as mgr not in! Two waitresses came over both of no assistance! This totally ruined our day out! Their excuse: we are busy today! What a farce

Lunch in the restaurant. The main service point was closed orders being taken at the coffee shop counter some indication would have helped, I ordered fish and chips which arrived promptly but seriously overcooked. My wife had noodles which had a excessive amount of sweet sauce. After visits to Trentham's Restaurant this came as a disappointment.

Really enjoy visiting this garden centre. Always looks good and usually find a bargain!

Much improved garden centre,taken over by Blue Diamond and refurbished to a high standard.I enjoyed the visit to this store and cafe ( lovely coffee &cake) and found the prices ok too. bought 4 small house plants £3.49 but had a reduction 3 for £9.00 next visit Dec 23 used cafe still good and good choices too. Also had to buy a Christmas cactus for £3.99. Back Dec 24 still good but now decked out with their Christmas things.

Had a great selection of house decor and gifts plus obviously the plants but for us the main attraction is the restaurant. We regularly drive out here for breakfast. Top drawer food

The shop part is varied depending on the time of the year. It can look sparse and a strange collection, but other times it's full and good. The restaurant is both great and awful. I've been several times and still don't understand which order you get a table, choose food (from what looks like a counter, but you don't get the food from there) and order food. I feel like a naughty child when I get it wrong! But it's worth it. The salads and savoury foods are all really interesting and full of flavour, but the cakes, OMG the cakes are to die for!

Good selection of indoor plants I was interested in hence visit. Clean and tidy considering change around of seasonal items. Four stars as thought the food menu a bit overpriced looking at portions.

We stopped o er on our journey and were impressed with the restaurant and choice of lovely food.

We had breakfast today. We ordered eggs benedict, would not have it again. Poached eggs were hardboiled, they should be soft & runny.

A little, not a lot, more expensive but offer magnificant cakes and meals. Staff very friendly and professional.

Always stop here on the way to the Midlands. A very nice and busy place well worth a visit

you have to walk about half-a-mile before you can reach the restaurant - a little inconsiderate. If they insist on you buying something to qualify use the restaurant then they ought to be honest and say so. Dobbies at Donnington don't send you on a wild goose chase!

We came for the cafe, which was amazing! However, pretty sure we could also have done the whole of our Christmas shopping here too. Toy shop a particular highlight.

The stars are for the very helpful staff sadly let down by misleading marketing/offers. Went in today very excited as I had a 20 percent off voucher for all Christmas things yippee. Bought 4 sets of sparkly Christmas tree lights (oh dear they not Christmas lights as they are not displayed in the Christmas part of the centre) so not included in the offer?? Ok so bought a huge set of Christmas lights already discount price because I am a loyal customer and have a blue diamond card. (So not included in the offer)Voucher worthless felt a bit scammed

Never been before but will go back in the summer. There were 3 of us on the day brought some presents for family. Then went into the restaurant, absolutely great. Had a lovely lunch definitely recommend everything there. Staff were very friendly

Oh dear, Blue Diamond have done it again! A twisty long route through clothing and most everything else! Haven't you learnt from Trentham Gardens complaints? Are you borderline discriminating against less able visitors? Restaurant tables are too crowded - less able out older guests are struggling to weave their way through to available seats.

Wow! What a fabulous restaurant. The food is the best I've ever seen or eaten. The service is excellent, the staff are lovely! I had takeaway salads from the deli... delicious!

What a lovely surprise....visited here recently after not being there for some years. Now 'Blue Diamond' have taken over, they have transformed it to a delightful place to shop and dine. Filled with beautiful things to enhance your home and garden. They currently have a delightful selection of Christmas decorations. You can take your dog too!!

I was surprised at the diversity of their product lines. I haven't been to a garden centre in some time and was amazed at the fact that they had clothing etc. the coffee shop was great and dog friendly which is excellent. Mere Park Garden Centre is a great place to visit for all your gardening needs. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and they have a wide variety of plants, tools, and other gardening supplies to choose from. The center is also well-maintained and clean, and it has a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, you're sure to find something you'll like at Mere Park Garden Centre.

Was only a 'sighting lap' visit, done in prep for a proper shop and look round. Looks good anyway,

So much variety and friendly staff

Very similar to all Blue Diamond centres. Smaller than Trentham but with just as much choice. Staff were friendly. Goods were well stocked. I'll definitely go again, with my aging parents who will find it easier to navigate than larger centres.

Great garden center similar to the Trentham lakes site without any where to go for a walk. Some great products and all stuff for your house/kitchen and garden. Lots of Christmas stuff too in November and December

It's a really nice place to visit lots of indoor space with classy things to buy as well as a good choice of plants and everything a garden centre should have. They serve amazing food which we highly recommend. It's a popular place so their car park was almost full.

Bought a broom on Monday, sadly, broke on Thursday sweeping leaves, exchanged today, no quibble by friendly professional staff !

Lovely garden centre both inside & out. Staff were just finishing off the christmas displays, so will definitely go back to see in the next few weeks 🎅. Lots of free parking too

Ended up leaving the items I had selected from womens clothing section due to the way I was spoken to by the two sales assistants (I use that term loosely) in the clothing section. Absolutely no people skills and clearly not customer focused. Shame really as I had intended buying a load of garden supplies but I will not be shopping here again. The sales staff in the womens section need to understand how service works.

Such a lovely garden centre which has this lovely restaurant on site. It's a great place for tea and cakes or sandwiches. The garden centre has quite a large selection of shopping other than plants too. Like clothing and house good so be prepared to shop.

unfortunately we didn't have a good experience, after waiting an hour for a sandwich and watching other people arriving and eating we were given a refund. Update to this review been twice since, and both time's food and service was excellent

A good but weird little setup of a garden centre! To get to the garden centre you have to walk through clothes, and fragrance section first!! Only a small centre but set up lovely. Big restaurant/cafe area.

Great place for plants, garden furniture, plus women's clothing and shoes, and summer hats. Nice yo gave a sit down after purchase and have a bite to eat in a beautiful conservatory area, good food and drink at good prices. Enjoyed time out.
