Stopped here for a coffee after a long walk on the beach. Googled best cafe and this came up. The cafe is beautiful inside and we ordered a latte and a cappuccino. I love my coffee and I can say that the coffee is excellent. Arrived after 3pm so couldn’t order food only cake so we will be returning to sample the food. Wonderful place to chill after a good walk. Highly recommend.

We visited about five times, which says it all. Great coffee and almond brownies. Also loved the caramel slices. The savoury food was good too, we had some egg/bacon rolls, but the real highlight was the sweet treats. We will be back if we return to Woolacombe!

This was our final mini break of this summer; here in North Devon based in Ilfracombe. Today was our last day, our plan was to revisit Woolacombe after checking-out from our hotel, have lunch, and then journey home. We arrived in Woolacombe about 2 hours before our lunch reservation at a mid-town restaurant. We walked-around to see if we had missed anything on our walk here the day before. During this walk we called at this highly recommended and very busy café which is located on a hill in the upper-part of the commercial centre. On arrival we found a very noisy, long and narrow dining area; thronging with very eclectic-looking clientele. I found a table whilst my partner queued to get two cups of coffee at the servery. The coffee was good, certainly hot, good quality, good flavours, but it wasn’t very strong (and we ‘do strong’). Tables were packed together and people’s conversations easily drifted, so that we could hear conversations. On an adjacent table there was a guy who I would say was of Australian extraction, who (to me) was obviously pitching for business, in some form of sports coaching, to a young boy, who was accompanied by his mother. This guy was really loud and resolute in an almost continuous tirade of criticism and encouragement. We hurried the last bit of our coffee to get out of earshot. Some people just need to listen to themselves and recognise that they need to consider other people’s comfort.

We practically lived in this coffee shop when we stayed at Woolacombe last year. However, menu has changed and you can just get the usual sandwiches and cakes that you can get anywhere. So disappointed that we just stopped for a coffee and smoothie. Still good service and nice atmosphere.

Very sorry to see that Meraki is not up to previous standard. Drinks were great (piping hot and good strength) but food was disappointing. The menu had changed (which was disappointing as my previous amazing menu choice had gone) but there was still good choices on there. We ordered a sandwich and a roll. The sandwich arrived 15 minutes before the roll and the bread was dry. When the roll arrived it came without the side of crisps and was very small for £7.20. I did feed this back at the time and was told they were short staffed which I fully understand- but perhaps that could have been communicated earlier with a ‘sorry for your wait’.

What a great pit stop this is. Having been up since 06.00 with the dogs, a pre sunrise walk along the coastline was in order. Then to see if Woolcaombe could provide for 4 dogs and 2 hoomans to have brekkie, an out of season 08.00 on a Sunday. This did not disappoint to the extent we had seconds! Great coffee, delicious freshly cooked food, all served with a beaming smile. What's not to like? Gi back? Without doubt. Thanks 👌

Called in to this little cafe as we had visited last year when we found it amazing! Well run by a charming young lady called molly and extremely friendly! The staff were happy and all worked together as a lovely team. This time it was totally different, no obvious management in sight? Staff not knowing what was going on resulting in long waits and stressed out staff! Such a shame because we noticed how it had totally lost its lustre compared to our last visit! Hoping next time they will have got their sparkle back? Couldn’t see it this time unfortunately!

We experienced poor service on Tuesday when we visited. We ordered coffee and a hot chocolate. Other customers were served before us. Our drinks were left on the counter top to get cold and the staff member was asked by a colleague a couple of times to bring the drinks to our table. If we are to pay £3.00 for a cup of coffee, we would expect a hot drink, not something lukewarm and much better service.
