Went recently to celebrate a family birthday. Felt really well looked after. The staff and the manager really make an effort. The food was excellent.(try the Rajasthani Laal Maas.)

Chisty and the team where amazing they have captured clients for life, im so impressed at the hospitality and quality of the food, by far one of the best if not the best restaurants in the United Kingdom.

Amazing restaurant, the best curry I have ever had. The staff were incredible and could not do enough to help our party of 8, 4 adults 4 children, even brought some chicken pakora out for the kids to try whilst we waited for dinner. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a slap up l, delicious meal.

I went with a large group but they made us very welcome and the service was attentive. The menu was really good and the food was tasty.

I revisited Mem Saab yesterday for a birthday celebration and it was even better than the first time. The staff were friendly, professional and courteous throughout, and we didn't at all feel rushed even though we were caught in traffic and were over 20 minutes late. The decor, as ever, is quite lavish and well suited for special occasions. This didn't distract from the food, which was consistently excellent; this is a place that can easily stand on the strength of its food alone. The lamb nihari was rich and the lamb was tender, the chilli chicken wasn't overly dominated by spice and was flavourful and the butter chicken masala was excellent, the best example of the dish I've had. A trip to Mem Saab will cost a little more than your average curry house but then this is no average curry house; it offers a very high standard of food and service in a comfortable, classy setting and is extremely difficult to fault. Judging it purely on the food alone, it's as good as any I've tried in Leicester. We'll definitely be back, thanks again to the team for making it a special meal.

We went to Mem Saab with my partner for dinner and had an absolutely amazing experience. As French people we tend to be a bit picky when comes to food/restaurants but Mem Saab has been clearly above and beyond our expectations. We could feel a very cosy atmosphere and have had a warm welcome from everyone. The Chef himself came to see us time to time to ensure everything was alright. Walton took great care of us and made sure we choose the best dishes in regards to our preferences. I'd definitely recommend Mem Saab to every food lover and people who are looking for top class restaurant.

This meal was outstanding from start to finish. We were well looked after by our waiter Chrishty who gave phenomenal customer care. The food was tasty, flavoursome and well seasoned. The team even gave a complementary cake as it was my wifes birthday. A lovely touch!

From the moment we walked in we knew we had booked the best in the county. The service was first class, taking our coats to start the experience. We were helped with menu as they know the best sellers. We ordered and wow, we were not disappointed as the food was beyond beautiful. The customer service was absolutely 100% in fact since moving here 7 years ago, we have never experienced food or service like it. This restaurant have not only delivered the finest food and service ever, they have rung the bell all round. We cannot wait to return. The choice, the taste, the overall dining experience is delivered at here by Raj and his more than capable team

My mum came here a few weeks ago and said it was a must go to. I came here with my partner for his birthday meal and we both agreed this is by far the best Indian we’ve ever been to! The food was amazing, they explained all options and gave advice on what would go well with your meal if you were unsure. They were also very clued up on gluten free (coeliac) and could accommodate different options if required. They were well aware the popadoms were cooked separately and no contaminated with any gluten before I even asked! The service was incredible, we were asked various times if we were ok and if there was anything they could get us. We never had an empty glass or had to ask for a drink as they’d be over just before it was empty and our bottle of wine was poured for us. Thankyou for a great meal!!

I recently celebrated my birthday in the private dining room and from start to finish, the service was absolutely excellent. We visited this restaurant after a De Montfort graduation ceremony. It was early evening and although we had no reservation the restaurant was fairly quiet and they were happy to host us. It is well laid out restaurant with clean, fresh and elegant table settings. The staff were extremely welcoming and made you feel very much at home. The menu is varied with both the usual traditional curry meals and some excellent specials. The contents and preparation of each meal was explained in detail if required and the spice level could be varied to individuals taste. The food was of a very high standard and matched by the standard of table service. This restaurant stands out as one of the very best Indian restaurants we have visited and could not recommend it more highly.

I only got a starter but it was really nice and filling. Definitely recommend this place. My partner and I have passed this restaurant many times and have always spoken of eating here. Today we finally got the opportunity to and we are blown off our feet. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and engaging throughout the entire experience. Food and drinks are exceptional with the finest details accounted for by both the kitchen and bar staff. Had a great experience here with Chisty as our waiter, who provided great recommendations. It was for my sister's birthday, the service was excellent and they gave us a free cake slice at the end too on the house! Overall great place, great food and great staff.

Worst restaurant in Leicester Total Bill costed more than 35£ and in return my husband got food poisoning because of un fresh food. We are going to complain to food hygiene authority soon.

The food and service were both exceptional, making it one of the best dining experiences we've had in Leicester. Raj was outstanding. We informed him of our dietary needs (vegetarian, no onion or garlic) when booking, and he was incredibly accommodating. He personally checked with the chef to ensure our preferences were met and even called us to discuss our options. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made us feel truly valued. The food was simply amazing. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. It exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend Mem Saab. The service is impeccable, and the food is absolutely superb.

One word...Excellent. I have lived in USA for over 20 years and I have had one craving the entire time I have been there, really good Indian food. When I visited Leicester to see family I knew that Indian food would be top of the list for things to do. I was not disappointed by Mem Saab. The manager came over and introduces himself once we were seated and answered questions about the food. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. If and when I go back to England again I would even make the trip to Leicester just to eat here again it was that good.

First time here for our wedding anniversary celebrations and where do I start?! Literally OUTSTANDING service, DELICIOUS vegetarian food and such a WONDERFUL atmosphere. The service was on point, Welton was so attentive and no request was too big. Cannot believe we've not been here before! Definitely OUR NEW FAVOURITE Indian restaurant to dine at. Having been to many different Indian restaurants this is by far the best. Feels like a special occasion restaurant, not a ‘just popping out for food’ place. The service is amazing, from the moment myself & family first visited, Raj & Chisty always make us feel like old friends, but not in an overwhelming way. The food is perfect every single time & I just know that we’ll be eating here for many years to come.

Raj and Christy took fantastic care of us—they were professional, attentive, and kind, providing fabulous dish recommendations and quick service. The food was delicious—my colleague shared that he recently went to a Michelin Star Indian Restaurant, and that Memsaab was better. I’m already looking forward to visiting again! My only frustration was that there was a party of 60 people or so in the restaurant on this Tuesday evening, which made it a bit difficult to hear at our table of 6. In the same breath, this speaks to how great they are—to have such an event on a Tuesday evening. Thank you Memsaab Team!

Food was excellent, our waiter Chisty was very helpful. Only criticism was that it was very noisy, clatter bang like, probably due to the high ceilings. Some soft furnishings would probably deaden the sound a bit. But overall very good & we would definitely go back & would definitely recommend to others.

We booked this restaurant for a very special birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Raj the Manager, taken to our table and treated with great care. The staff were exceptional. Friendly, efficient and so helpful. There were other celebrations going on too and such a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent and beautifully served. A great choice and staff were helpful in explaining the different meals, if some might be too spicy or not spicy enough. A friend had made a cake and Raj was very accommodating and kept it until it was needed, bringing it out on a lovely cake server. Such a special night and made even better by Raj and his wonderful staff. Thank you.

We had an amazing time at Memsaab. We went on my wife’s birthday and we were treated so well by Chisty. He was so cordial and kind to us. Took care of us so well. We asked to change the dishes to our requirements and we were really impressed. Biryani, Samosas and Kulfi was too good. Tandoori roti was heavenly. Mojito was superb. Thanks Chisty. Me and my girlfriend ate here today for our anniversary, the staff were kind and gave recommendations, gave us plenty of time to order and was quick with answering our questions. Definitely the best meal i’ve had out in a long time. Atmosphere was great, lots of happy faces and staff was cheerful yet still professional. Thought the staff had forgot that i’d asked about me celebrating our anniversary but surprised us with a free desert after our main. One of my top 3 favourite restaurants in Leicester. They really know Indian food and it shows in what they serve. Welton delivers such lovely service. Me and my partner have been here few times and he has always looked after us. We ordered the platter as main and every bit of it was delicious, especially the salmon. Will always keep coming back here, for the food and the exceptional customer service😇.

Had the pleasure of dining at this lovely Indian restaurant in Leicester on a Saturday evening. The staff were very attentive and Walton (hope that was his name) who looked after us gave some good recommendations for the food choices. The food was flavoursome, lamb dishes tender and the naan breads with the cherries in it are delicious, great combination. Would highly recommend this place and hopefully visit again soon.

Delicious food! Fine dining service with food that is full of authentic flavours. We had several starters and a main, and everything tasted great and dishes tasted different to each other. For starters, their prawns as their specials and their lamb cutlets were particularly great! Celebrated husband's birthday and we were treated really well. Staff and manager have good knowledge about dishes.
