Friendliest staff ever made me feel welcome. Great lomo saltado and fresh purple corn drink. Will be coming back when in Leicester! 🙂

Ridiculously good food served by joyful people with a perfect atmosphere and a great kitschy soundtrack. I watched my fish get brought straight in from the market, ludicrously fresh.

Unforgettable experience! I never knew this place existed until today! Absolutely mind blowing hospitality! Fredy Franco, owner, went above and beyond in making my first encounter with Peruvian cousin so memorable. We had a great chat! And food - authentic, fresh, unique comfort food. I have tried today a traditional chicken dish cooked for hours in Peruvian spices, delicious! Also the dip, made of Peruvian chilies, created by Franco - what a mix of flavours! I will definitely be coming back for sure. Food is fresh, never cooked from frozen. Fresh from the market! Great place!

"Stumbled upon this quirky little gem and had an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere is cozy and a bit eccentric, with each chair being different and the decor giving it a unique charm. We were greeted warmly by the owner, who went out of his way to accommodate us by arranging tables. Although some items were missing from the menu, he assured us everything available was fresh. We ordered a bottle of wine and got mismatched glasses, lol. The highlight was when the owner, noticing our interest in fish, ran out to the local market to get fresh fish just for us! The entire dining experience was filled with laughter and good conversations. When the food finally arrived, it was absolutely delicious – every dish bursting with flavor. Despite the initial quirks, the owner’s enthusiasm and the quality of the food won us over. We’ll definitely be back!"

We visited on a week day so quiet trade. Freddy was singing and whistling away cooking. We ordered the chilli con carne and chips. We loved it and we’ll be surely back M. and M-A

Just like home, Perú en Bretaña! Fredy and his family are now my go-to for real authentic Peruvian dishes. Skip all the other "latin" restaurants!!

Really nice cafe in the city centre near the market. Very friendly staff. I had the Peruvian breakfast which was very nice. I sat and chilled and felt very comfortable.

Great food, the pollo a la brasa is a personal favourite of mine, however the fajitas are incredible (get the chicken and chorizo one). Staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making the overall experience lovely.

Amazing pollo a la brasa! The best outside of Peru. All food freshly cooked but if you don't have time to wait you can WhatsApp the owner and pre-order which is great. Great to have genuine Peruvian food available now in Leicester.

A fantastic place. We had the fish for dinner; super fresh (went to get the fresh fish from the market) wonderfully seasoned and cooked. I would go so far to say it was the best fish I have eaten in the UK. The staff are great. The place is a Leicester gem!

The cafe part in the Odeon arcade... not the small stall by the fish market. Staff were v friendly and attentive, lots of smiles here. English breakfast was ok but bread and butter a bit stale. Chilli con carne was thin and watery and v bland. Polo a la plancha was dry hard and had none of the lime and vinegar kick expected but tasted of raw garlic. Chicken wrap was ok. Wanted to love the food as staff were sooooo happy and on point. I'll give the fish a go at the small stand by the fish market but will swerve the indoor cafe unless I need a coffee and an ok full english inside out of the weather. I may have just gone on an off day.

Can't fault this place!! Owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and happy to serve authentic food :) such a cosy place inside the arcade, popped in to try something new and it did not disappoint. The food was full of flavour and worth the wait for fresh fish from the market!! Will deffo visit again 🤗😋

Stopped by chance after wandering through new(ish) Fish/Meat Market. Freshly made to order with food sourced from the Market. (Low carbon miles!!) Delicious served by friendly enthusiastic owner who authentically loves creating dishes from his country of birth. Peru. Its like eating street food abroad. 👍

Amazing ceviche!!! Needed so much one delicious ceviche and all my expectations were filled!!! Freddie es lo mejor!! No tengo foto xq me concentre en comer esa delicia!
