Melo Coffee and Deli in East Dunbartonshire

Brilliant - what a wee gem in the leafy suburbs of Glasgow. Went along to Melo on a recommendation of a friend who knows that I love a good breakfast. Great food - the bagel with bacon, egg and grilled cheese is truly wonderful. It was busy and bustling; despite the young lady serving everyone, service was top notch. Loved it.

We were looking for a quick breakfast and this was the only one on Google maps near Garscube Sport Centre on a Sunday morning. It was very nice, friendly staff and good breakfast menu. 100% go again,

Positives: - cafe was clean - staff were friendly - lots of choice on menu - my fussy sons cleared their plates Negatives: - part of my order was changed without any notice! I ordered the vegetarian breakfast which is advertised on the menu as including: haggis, potato scones, sausages, mushrooms, beans, toast and tomatoes. What I actually received was: sausages, mushrooms, beans, toas, tomatoes and some random veggie bacon I HATE that veggie bacon stuff it's tasteless! If they didn't have potato scones or haggis (as advertised) I would rather have had an extra sausage or something. Disappointed :-(

Lovely local cafe with welcoming staff in a super clean environment. Homemade food and substantial portions. Mum had the French toast and bacon while I’d the macaroni cheese with chips. Nice coffee too.

Had the full breakfast with a pot of green tea. The food was warm and fresh perfect fired egg. And the service from Garry and Caroline a real family welcome a real jewel in the crown a great edition to the area. Will visit again

We had a small family gathering yesterday, 4 adults and 3 children. We were made very welcome by the very friendly and efficient staff, who were able to advise of alternate dishes for the children. Everyone was delighted with their choice of food, It came well presented and hot. Cakes and scones were delightful and apparently the gingerbread cake was to die for, according to one of the party. Will no doubt be back.

What a rip off. £5.25 for a takeaway panini that was not even panini but a toasted sub. Melo is taking the mickey out of customers thinking this is acceptable. Never again.

First visit , we were made very welcome on arrival lovely cosy atmosphere, coffee piping hot & cakes were delicious ... we will be regulars for sure 👍🏽

I came in and was served straight away, and the food was amazing, ive been to a few cafes in bearsden and this one has to be the best! Euan and Mark are amazing at their job and made me and my friends feel so welcomed. Will be back!!

Been a few times now before and after closure due to lockdown etc and food is always amazing! Visited recently for breakfast and enjoy the atmosphere and brunch.. Had a full breakfast and toast bacon egg avocado in a previous visit.. would recommend both! Sandwiches and scones are fresh and def a must too.. Owners and staff are all friendly, nice and great service.. thanks Caroline and Gary!

Great wee place. Visit on a regular basis. Eggs Benedict my favourite, with a salad on the side. I sometimes have an all day breakfast. Staff all friendly and attentive.

Went along with my son, he had a chicken burger and I had a lovely steak burger..delicious! The coffee was great too! Friendly staff, hand sanitiser on all tables.

Food and coffee was amazing, i had a full breakfast with a flat white. Fast and friendly service, will be back!

What a great cafe. Good service, pleasant staff and delicious food. Well worth a visit. I'll definitely be visiting this little gem again!

Very disappointing 1st time visit. Out of the 4 or 5 staff members on, only 1 kept his mask on consistently, the head guy had it off most of the time, chef didn't have 1 at all, and the barista had hers under her nose so, yeah, not very plesent or professional. 2 of our 4 drinks arrived and then 10mins later the other 2.....2 coffees, a tea and a bottle of juice - shouldn't take long you'd think but we waited 20mins for it all on a quiet Sunday, only 2 other tables in. The food was dry and tasteless, couldn't finish my eggs Stornoway - dry sad bread, eggs overdone and a tiny dollop of hollandaise sauce. Over all I'm very unimpressed, might have given it a 2nd chance but for the staff not able to wear masks properly in all areas of the cafe, I won't be returning any time soon.

Our favourite for all kinds of reasons. The food is beautifully cooked - we’ve never been disappointed with anything we’ve had and we’ve had most of the dishes. Best of all is the staff. It’s a family business and all of them are so friendly...
